Well. That took longer than I expected. I promise it would not have been any quicker if I skipped to Beerus that probably would have been harder lol.
Also I'm pretty sure I can justify this. I got two lil ideas rattling around up in my head, though I have to actually continue rewatching GT to see if that one would be applicable. Assuming I ever get that far
thewittywhy: Raditz and Krillin are two characters that just don't feel like they'd cross lol. And as much as I wish I could give Radish his conspiracy board, I also fell like he wouldn't want the physical evidence, lol
And many thanks, I'm glad that comes across well. Romance is not my strong suit so I was never the surest on how I was gonna write this aspect lol
Also,, I did actually watch the Beerus movie when I was in high school so that'd be the last thing she is more aware of. Anything after Beerus is out of context snippets
JCINNABAR: A shame it will simply never be answered smh my head
Fernando917: They've simply vanished into the void I'm afraid
"Hey, Gohan! Glad you could make it!" Mr Satan greeted with his ever-boastful grin.
"Hm? Yeah. All it took to convince Dad to come was to mention the food. You're gonna regret calling it all you can eat." I had to imagine Bulma got Vegeta here on the same pretenses.
Mr Satan laughed as if he thought the concept to be ridiculous. "Oh, don't you worry about that! I've got the best catering money can buy! No one will be going hungry on their watch!"
His face took a serious turn for a moment, "Now word on the street is you're seeing someone. Is it someone I can threaten?"
"No," I said, which led to Mr Satan's disappointment, "though Raditz managed it. Not something you could though."
"Well I think that Raditz fellow could be pretty threatening," He said under his breath.
"Not even with money?"
"No."
It was almost funny how disappointing Mr Satan found that. But he recovered as quickly as he ever does. "Well anyway! I wanted to talk to you about something, but after. Go, have fun. Enjoy the food! There's no rush!" Mr Satan ushered me back to the group as he went back to overseeing the preparations.
Ok then.
It took a while and a fair bit of corralling but eventually, everyone found their seats. I was surprised by just how many people Mr Satan actually got here. It was just about everyone associated with the main group, except Tien and Chiaotzu. And Seventeen also didn't bother, he couldn't get time off that easily and he also didn't really care to. I don't have the slightest idea how he got King Kai and company here, let alone The Supreme Kai and Kibito.
Come to think of it I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've actually seen King Kai…anyway.
There were even a few faces I didn't recognize at a glance, but I could make a few assumptions.
Don't ask me how, but reporters did manage to get in and try to interrogate Mr Satan about the opening of this hotel on the second anniversary of Majin Buu's defeat, interrupting Mr. Satan's little speech on the very subject.
It did remind me of the fact that Mr. Satan never really got to properly redeem Buu like he had in canon. It, I kinda felt bad about it, but thinking about Buu for too long still made my chest feel too tight and itch so I didn't feel that bad about it.
He did keep Bee at least.
Mr Satan quickly got overwhelmed by reporters until his, attendant, person, guy, got their attention with an announcement of the hotel's name.
Mr Satan's World Saving Defeat of Majin Buu, Super Gorgeous Hotel.
…
You know maybe I'm not quite as bad at naming things as I thought.
Didn't he have anyone to tell him to tone it down? To call it excessive would be a laughable understatement.
Even Mr Satan looked like he was embarrassed by the name until the reporters started praising him for it. Which quickly made him just as boastful as one would expect him to be.
Videl looked like she was going to melt into her seat in embarrassment.
…
The excitement settled down and people were free to mingle as they pleased.
"Hey."
I turned back to see Pigero standing behind me. "Oh, hey." Things were, better. I mean not perfect, and things were kinda weird with Rom and even Chico too, but it was getting better.
"Glasses?"
"Oh, yeah," I pushed the frames back up my nose, "finally gave in and got a prescription."
"Getting used to them?"
"Ah- getting, reused to them, technically…I'd worn glasses since I was eight, the first time…"
I glanced up. I mean, I did say I was gonna talk more, and that counted, I think.
Pigero paused, then nodded.
"Must have been hard to get unused to."
"I don't think I ever did…I mean I- if anything the problem's compounded in on itself now," I half laughed, "I reach for my glasses, then remember I don't have them anymore, and then remember, oh I actually do." I tried to make it sound like a joke but it came out more bittersweet if anything.
I coughed and looked away. "Anyway, that's not the point. Ah- I'm not sure what the point really is but-"
"Hey." I glanced up at Pigero. "It's fine, I, I get it." He ruffled my hair in a way that I would have thought I was too old for before he knew about the reincarnation thing.
And then things moved on. Like everything was normal.
I guess things were normal. Whatever that meant anymore.
The celebration resumed. Or rather, it never paused in the first place, I simply returned to it. People were talking, eating, reconnecting. The kids were running around and stealing food off plates whenever they could get away with it.
It was, nice.
It was, relatively, peaceful.
There was a noticeably high ki signature rapidly approaching.
It wasn't high by the current standard, the kids were stronger. But it was definitely high by general earth standards. I'd guess a few thousand or so.
Huh.
I mean, unless it's something entirely new there are only a few things I could think of. And that's definitely not Beerus- plus I'm pretty sure that had something to do with one of Bulma's parties specifically.
So I wasn't quite surprised when two Sayain pods crashed into a nearby mountain.
Everyone who could sense energy noticed it, though admittedly I was assuming that they were specifically Sayain pods.
A fair assumption to make, however, as two figures landed on the lawn as the group went out to investigate. One having a tail that was quite indicative of a Sayain.
He didn't wrap it around his waist like most of the ones raised under Frieza. Raditz still did that. Of course, he was the only one of the three that still had a tail. Clover wrapped her tail in public too, assumably because Nappa raised her to do the same.
I don't think Gine could ever be tamed enough to bother.
The other person was much smaller, with entirely rounded features, and wearing what looked like a sturdy dress rather than the Sayain armor the other was wearing.
The Sayain was also fairly short, however. Which entirely narrowed down the suspects to one.
"Tarble." The clarification was made for me. Everyone else was shocked by Vegeta's recognition as he walked past without giving anyone a second's consideration.
"Vegeta!" The other man smiled. It was an expression that was rarely a response to Vegeta's presence.
He leapt forward until he was in conversation distance. "It's good to see you, brother," he said, magnifying the confusion exponentially.
I snickered to myself. "Heh…Vegetable.." I said under my breath.
Vegeta turned and didn't look directly at Tarble. "Didn't father send you to a remote star system because you couldn't fight?"
Tarble faltered. "Ah, yes well- a Namekian told me that a Sayain had defeated Frieza and lived on Earth, which had to have been you so I came to ask for your help."
Vegeta scowled.
Tarble continued anyway.
"A terrible duo from Frieza's army has come to my new home and has been terrorizing us. I- I was not strong enough to defend against them. Please, I need your help."
Vegeta scoffed.
Goku spoke up instead. "Are they strong? He asked.
Tarble looked taken aback at anyone else speaking up. "Ah- yes. They are very strong."
Tarble clicked on his scouter as Goku pondered how interesting the fight would be.
"Ah- no offense. But I don't think you're strong enough…"
Vegeta fully turned away at that. "Don't believe your scouter. Power levels change on a dime nowadays."
"Here, I'll show you," Goku walked past them into the yard.
Goku fell into stance and slowly began increasing his ki. Slowly being by comparison as the scouter clearly shot up in numbers by Tarble's reaction.
Goku barely had time to turn Super Sayain before the scouter shorted while still over his eye.
Goku let the transformation fade as he had proven the point.
"That's- that's amazing! Vegeta, can you do that too?"
Vegeta scoffed. "Please. The children can do that."
That's- wow that's- please. You must help me!"
Vegeta rolled his eyes.
"We'd be happy to help," I stepped forward instead.
Vegeta glared.
"I mean, what an excellent prince you are. Going so far out of your way to seek help when you know you're unable. All to protect the people you care about."
"Oh, well thank y-"
"She's not complimenting you. She's insulting me," Vegeta interrupted with a snarl on his lips.
I brought a hand to my chest in mock offense, "Why Vegeta, I can quite easily do both."
Tarble looked between us. He opened his mouth to ask-
"Well, I can't let you tarnish our family's pride any further than you already have. I'll go take care of your problem and we can return to not interacting."
"Ah- actually, they followed me here so-"
"Hey wait!" Goku interrupted this time. "Vegeta, who says you get to fight these guys? I stepped up first so I should get to fight them!"
Vegeta turned his head down. "This is obviously a family matter Kakarot. You stay out of it."
"Well that's not fair. It's been so long since there's been anyone new to fight."
"Well, there are two of them so maybe you could both fight one?" Tarble, sweet innocent Tarble, tried to mediate.
Vegeta looked more insulted by that than he had by me. I've lost my touch.
"Like I would ever need his help!" Vegeta snapped, causing Tarble to take a step back.
"How strong are they exactly anyway?" I asked. If I remember correctly they weren't actually that strong so that should dampen their excitement over it.
"Oh, right. I don't know how but, they're each nearly as strong as Vegeta was!"
The two Sayains paused their argument to glance over.
"Aw, is that all?" Goku visibly deflated.
Vegeta narrowed his eyes further. "First form or final form?"
"…forms..?"
Vegeta's eye twitched.
"Huh. Really lost perspective on how much of a threat he was, didn't we?" I asked. Because it wasn't really fair to hold Tarble to our impossible standard.
"Oh whatever. This is not worth my time." Vegeta grunted.
"Well… a fight's still a fight I guess. Maybe I'll make it more interesting by not going super sayain at all! Though that still might not be enough to even it out…" Goku pondered about how he could make the fight more interesting.
"Can we just skip to the part where we chuck the kids at them?" I asked. To be honest I don't actually remember much about the fight but I do remember that it was Trunks and Goten who fought them.
"I suppose Trunks should be plenty strong enough to beat them."
"Huh? Gohan said children. Multiple. It's not fair if only Trunks gets to fight," Goku protested.
"Yeah Vegeta! If my little Warrior wants to fight she's more than prepared!" Nappa butted in as well. Clover sat on his shoulders proclaiming that she did, in fact, want to fight.
Tarble blinked. "Wha- but she can't be older than ten! How could she possibly-"
"Don't worry about it. Any of the kids can fight at least one of them. Except maybe Gine. Let's just let them decide for themselves," I waved Vegeta off.
This fight was gonna end up being the kids' anyway.
Once the shock of it blew over Tarble's companion ran over to wish Trunks luck. He looked all embarrassed by her attention.
"By the way, Tarble. Who is she?" Vegeta asked.
"Oh! Right, I'm sorry. This is my wife."
And Vegeta was truly taken aback by that. So much so that when she introduced herself as Gure, he was incredibly, uncharacteristically, polite.
I would have laughed if I didn't think that'd break whatever spell he'd been put under.
"Well! Never thought I'd see the day where Vegeta was brought to courtesy." Bulma stepped forward. "While we're on the topic, I'm Vegeta's wife, since he's obviously not going to introduce me."
"Oh! It's very nice to meet you!"
"You'd think being married for so many years, I'd have learned earlier that he had a brother. But I guess that's Vegeta for you." Bulma sounded remarkably unbothered by that.
Tarble just awkwardly laughed.
…
Trunks
"Can we just skip to the part where we chuck the kids at them?"
Trunks's head popped up.
What? Why would they have to fight? Trunks didn't really know who that Frieza guy was but that sounded like something the adults were supposed to fight.
And then his dad said he was supposed to fight them alone! Trunks was kinda glad that was shot down so quickly.
He didn't know why the thought made him so nervous. His dad would never have him fight if he knew he couldn't win.
Right?
Of course he wouldn't! It wasn't like- not like last time. They weren't even supposed to be outside then.
But then Clover said how much she wanted to fight and it made his chest twist up all funny.
Which was stupid. He knew Clover was fine. He knew Clover was way stronger than she'd been back then too. It took forever to catch up again. (He still technically hadn't but he refused to admit that)
So why did he still feel so nervous about it? Why did he almost want to say he didn't want to fight them at all?
But it was like it was already decided. Everyone was acting like it was now up to the three of them who were gonna fight.
And then his Uncle's friend- er, wife, personally wished him luck so like, what was he supposed to do? Say no?
He kinda wanted to.
Like, he didn't even know he had an uncle an hour ago. Why was he supposed to defend him now? He just wanted to eat fancy food and show Tapion a cool trick he could do with ki and the water.
But his dad seemed so sure he could win…and his dad wouldn't set him up to lose…
He should just talk to Clover and Goten about it.
He dragged Clover off so they could talk without any grown-ups overhearing.
"What's the problem?" Clover asked. Which annoyed him because the problem should have been obvious-
"There's no problem!" He insisted anyway. "I just, thought we weren't gonna fight the adult fights anymore…"
Clover blinked at him. "Well this is different! Obviously, they think we can handle it so it isn't really an adult fight! Do you really think Gohan would have suggested it if it was a real threat?"
"Well, no, but-" he didn't really know how to finish that statement. After all, it was true that Gohan was usually pretty careful with that kind of thing. At least more than their dads were. Not as much as his and Goten's moms though.
"And besides! The adults are right there! If something bad happens they'll be able to react super quickly. And what would your dad think? He thought you could handle both of them alone, let alone with us."
That wasn't fair. That really wasn't fair. What also wasn't fair was him being volunteered in the first place. It was weird. He didn't really know Gohan that well, but she wasn't usually like that. If it was one of those dads, sure. She was usually more careful about things like that.
Maybe that meant it really was just him then. If the idea of it being a danger just didn't occur to her.
"But fine. If you're too scared-" Clover decided to push him further.
"I'm not scared!" He snapped. He stormed off back to where Goten was. He was cheerfully oblivious to the whole thing.
"Hey, Trunks! Ready to fight the bad guys?" He said with a dumb smile.
"Yeah sure whatever."
He did not pout. This was fine. Good even. He was obviously plenty strong enough to win according to the adults and he got to show off to Tapion.
He had no reason to be worried.
Why was he the only one though?
Even Goten's mom was fine with it. And she was the most overprotective one of anyone here.
He would have jumped at the chance a year ago.
What was wrong with him?
…
Tarble
Well. This did not exactly go according to plan. His plan was to ask his brother for help, and to keep it that simple. He may not have had any contact with his brother but surely he would still help his own blood in a true time of need.
What he got instead were children fighting on his behalf.
Now, Tarble did not put as much stake in his pride as many others of his lineage have, but that did still sting it.
No one seemed worried about it, even knowing that Abo and Kado were as strong as Frieza- or Frieza's first form apparently.
This planet seemed entirely bizarre. No one seemed to treat his brother with the proper authority, even the other Sayains here. Even those who had been on his squad.
The young woman had even made fun of his brother. To his face! And it was apparently so familiar that Vegeta didn't do anything more than scowl.
The young woman seemed a tad too young to be a survivor from planet Vegeta, so perhaps she was the oldest of this second generation? Or were there more survivors out there? What were the odds of every surviving Sayain except for him having residence on this one small planet? Not that he's ever heard of a Sayain anywhere else in the galaxies.
He, did not miss his planet. He did not care for the hierarchy and had no belief in their survival of the fittest nature. That was the very reason he was cast out despite being royalty.
But he still felt something melancholic at the possibility of being the only one on the outside. To only have pieces of the context, and never truly understand how things have developed to this point.
He had no intention of leaving his new home, of course. He had far more stake there than he ever could elsewhere. He would always take care of and protect those who took him in when he had nothing. He had a home and family there.
Perhaps he wished he could share it more at least.
Vegeta's wife insisted he keep in contact. He'd hate to be a bother, but part of him wanted to take her up on that as well.
Vegeta's old squad mate had given him a replacement scouter. In his words, "to replace the one his idiot brother destroyed."
He claimed its reading ability was much higher, high enough to have read Goku's- (or Kakarot's?) power level earlier, but its communication was lesser for it. He wouldn't be able to use it for such once he left the planet.
It was a shame, but it wasn't as though he'd kept in contact before either.
The young woman from before has asked how much control he'd had over his Oozaru form. He'd answered honestly. Moderate. He could reasonably control his actions but couldn't speak or do anything that may spark any form of temper. His new home had no moon, there was no risk of it being a danger so he had no reason to perfect it further.
The woman- Gohan he'd learned- claimed "she could work with that" and that he'd need to figure out how to reach super Sayain if he wanted to access a form past the Oozaru and- it was all too much. He didn't have time for any sort of training that may require- nor did he really want to. He was strong enough to protect his loved ones back home and that was plenty. This was a single outlying case in four decades.
And that was before registering that apparently the legendary super Sayain wasn't quite a legend anymore.
The woman looked disappointed at his refusal. He felt somewhat bad. Of the Sayains here there actually weren't many that still had their tails. Even his brother hadn't. There probably weren't many she could pass her technique onto. From what he could tell it was just her, Vegeta's long-haired squad mate, the girl that was going out to fight, and the small orange one that nearly ripped out a chunk of his hair.
He didn't quite care for that one.
He also didn't quite feel bad enough to change his mind.
For all he knew she was trying to use him to make fun of his brother again.
His scouter alerted to two rapidly approaching powers, and to add to this planet's oddities, its residents seemed to notice just as quickly without any scouters at all.
For a moment he thought they'd realize how strong these two really were and pull the kids back. But few of them looked at all concerned. The only ones that even stepped back were the ones who didn't even register into triple digits.
Abo and Kado exited their pods after crashing into the earth. And destroying a poor vehicle in the process.
Tarble stood in front of Gure. He may not be much, but he could do that at least.
Instead of coming to any sort of sense, his brother nearly scoffed. "They don't look like much. They're all your's Trunks."
As if to spite the order, the little girl stepped forward first instead. Vegeta's son nearly immediately followed, and the third child seemed to be the only one who was actually excited.
Excited. Over this. He could hardly comprehend it.
Abo and Kado seemed to think the same as him, however. They didn't seem to regard the kids as a threat at all, even as they scanned their power levels.
But Tarble supposed that number probably wasn't accurate considering what happened earlier.
That didn't stop the twins from considering it a mockery.
Their attempts at intimidation did nothing however as the kids seemed entirely unphased, even turning the mockery back against them- though it seemed unintentional by the youngest boy's end.
And then- he couldn't follow any of it. To his eyes, it was as though all combatants vanished. The best he could do was glance at the other's reactions- none of whom seemed the slightest concerned. As if it was entirely normal.
This planet was simply too much for him.
…
To be honest, three on two isn't really fair here. But I would have felt bad if I'd tried to exclude any of them.
That being said, they weren't working together as well as they would normally. Mostly on the end of Trunks and Clover. The two did tend to butt heads often enough though so that was probably why. Either they'd gotten into a little argument or they were just trying to one-up each other.
The two turned into six and suddenly the numbers advantage went out the window.
This also exasperated the fumbles between the kids, accidentally hitting each other as often as they'd hit their opponents.
And then they also just kept making plain mistakes. They didn't seem to be focusing on their opponents' ki and followed their eyes instead. They obviously had no mind as to where each other were. And of course the most obvious, not a one of them has turned Super Sayain.
Now I get that I tend to jump to higher levels quicker than most but they are clearly being outsped here. I don't get why they're delaying it.
Trunks was the first one to get frustrated and actually do it. His hair sparked blonde and he rushed towards the blue ones.
Clover didn't let herself be left behind and followed suit with the red ones.
Goten fumbled as he fell behind.
"Huh? How's that any fun?" He asked, looking up at the quickly curbed fights.
"Goten? What's up?" I asked as he didn't immediately follow.
"I dunno. This fight feels weird. Not as fun as usual. Why'd they go super Sayain? Won't that make this way too easy?"
"It looked like you were having a tough time before to me."
"I guess." He shrugged, "it wasn't that bad though. It was just kinda hard to follow."
"Yeah. Cause you were trying to look at them. You should follow their ki instead."
Goten blinked. "Oooohhhh…yeah that makes sense! I'll do that next time! It's kinda hard when everything's going so fast though…"
"Just takes practice," I shrugged, "I could help you later if you want."
Goten gasped. "Promise?"
"Oh, uh, sure." I wasn't expecting him to get so excited over it.
Welp. Guess I'm doing that this weekend then.
…
Trunks
Ok. These guys didn't seem very strong at all actually. And they were really dumb looking. Fine. Whatever. Maybe it was just him then.
That didn't make him feel better though. It made it worse actually. He wasn't listened to at all and he was wrong about it. That was way worse.
But it wasn't like he was about to let Clover show him up now.
He went super Sayain as he started to get too frustrated. That knocked those blue guys back into one.
Unfortunately, Clover did the same thing with the red ones.
Whatever. Being even with her was annoying but it was still better than behind behind her.
The two bad guys landed on the ground and took off their scouter things. Goten reappeared as some pink smoke surrounded them. Where'd he go? It didn't really matter since clearly they were overkill for this fight.
He glanced back over as the smoke started to clear and-
Big.
His mind shuttered to a halt.
The two red and blue bad guys disappeared and in their place was one big purple guy.
Really big.
Part of him knew he was still stronger. He knew that at least with the three of them as Super Sayains it was a fair fight.
But the purple guy towered over him in a way that he- he couldn't.
Even as the other two went Super Sayain and went to fight he just, couldn't.
This was stupid! He knew it was fine! He knew they were strong enough and that even if something did happen there were plenty of grown-ups around to help this time.
What was wrong with him? Why was this happening? Because of one bad fight? That was so stupid!
"Trunks!" He looked back at his dad. His usual stern expression was mixed with something else he couldn't quite place. "What are you doing?"
For a moment, Trunks couldn't answer. He didn't know. He didn't want to be like this! He didn't want to be so weak!
He didn't want to let down his dad.
"Hey-" Gohan took a step forward and he took a step back. He didn't need help! He was fine! He wasn't scared! He knew everything was fine!
So he didn't think about it as he shot up into the sky. It was a lot easier to ignore with all that energy burning through his limbs and being so focused on just hitting the other guy, cutting right past Clover as he did.
And, as long as they were in the sky, he couldn't tower over him like that again. Trunks could be higher. And even if he wasn't it was because of weird sky angles rather than the purple guy being so much bigger.
He ended the bout by bringing both arms down and spiking him into the water below.
The transformation faded as Trunks floated there. He was tired. He was out of breath.
He was still scared.
He won! He won and he was still scared! Why? Why was wrong with him? Frustration paired with the fear as he tried to shove it all back down.
And then Clover tackled him. He was knocked out of his stupor enough to shove her away. "Get off of me!"
He saw something in the corner of his eye and glanced up to see a green blast had flown past them. He looked back down to see the stupid purple guy floating down there again.
Of course. It's never that easy.
"I was just trying to help!" Clover shouted back at his protest.
"Well I didn't ask for your help did I?" He shouted back.
"Uh guys?" Goten interrupted and pointed back down at the purple guy who was charging another blast.
In his mouth. Ew.
Clover deflected it with a kick- into Mr Satan's hotel, whoops.
He charged another blast, with his hands this time. The energy beams scattered everywhere! Not just at them!
They were easy enough to dodge but they were too far away to help down below- but the stronger adults were handling that anyway. Either blocking the beams or destroying any falling debris before it could hit anyone. In the end, all the real damage fell onto the hotel.
The purple guy immediately started charging a stronger attack. It- it was too strong. He could feel that. He didn't even know you could make an attack that much stronger than he was. Sure, he knew you could push your energy way further or condense it to make it more potent, but not that much!
They couldn't do anything about it. They'd have to dodge it, but then what if it hit something else? What if-
Goku stepped in.
He deflected the blast and punched the purple guy out.
It was that simple.
His dad landed next to Goku- having not been far behind, Goku just got there first.
He muttered something at Goku who seemed to be both embarrassed and amused by it.
"D-dad?" He started. He wasn't sure what he wanted- he messed up. First, he froze up, then he almost got hit and Clover had to save him. Then they didn't even win. Maybe if he'd done better the fight wouldn't have gone on long enough for Mr Satan's building to get all destroyed.
His dad glanced down at him. He didn't know what was behind his eyes. It was probably disappointment though.
"You could have done worse." He stated and returned to the larger group.
And Trunks didn't know what to do with that.
…
Welp. That could have gone better.
Maybe I should have just let Goku and Vegeta decide which one wanted to fight after all.
But I'm pretty sure that would have ended up with the kids fighting anyway somehow.
Ah well. No going back now. Really feel bad about the hotel though. I probably should have stepped in sooner. Though I guess the same could have been said for Goku or Vegeta.
Mr Satan seemed to be mourning the loss. "My hotel…"
"You uh, you ok?" I asked.
He tried to cover his disappointment with the claim that he could just get it fixed up- but I'm pretty sure at this point he'd be better off starting from scratch.
"So uh- you wanted to talk about something earlier…?" I tried to change the subject.
It almost worked. Mr Satan looked over at me as if remembering something- only to flinch away again as another building crumbled away.
…
Yeah…he's definitely gonna need to start from scratch…
Mr Satan just looked defeated as he looked back at it again.
"…you want a job?"
…
Ok so, on AO3 I included a comic type thing with Raditz actually managing to threaten Seventeen since I could never quite fit it i to a chapter. But since theres a 50/50 chance it'd be plot relevant i included a text version here
Raditz snippet.
You know. Raditz's first reaction to me dating Seventeen was not one I anticipated. I kinda just assumed he wouldn't care. That certainly would have been a lot easier.
"Great. Five billion people on this planet, and you happen to choose one of the ones I can't threaten." He muttered, pulling off a work glove.
"Well I mean, you can. It just won't mean anything." Seventeen said. And really wish I didn't associate with so many confrontational people. It's like they liked causing problems.
Case in point, I could practically see the moment Raditz chose violence.
"You know…" he started off, calmer than he should have responding to that, "back when Cell was running around, I happened to go back to Gero's lab. Just to see if there was anything that we'd missed. Turns out he had a sub-lab beneath it.
"Destroyed it, of course. But not before looking around and finding some rather interesting documents… or rather, blueprints."
He trained his gaze back onto Seventeen with no more expression than he had in his setup.
"Where exactly did you think that remote came from back then?" He asked.
Seventeen was no longer amused. In fact, if it weren't for the fact that I was standing next to him he might have looked rather murdery.
