My Hero Academia: Rise Of The Kaiju

Episode 4: Aftermath

Newscaster: What you see here is the chaos and destruction the creature caused last night in the heart of the city. Fortunately, no lives were lost during this attack and the creature has escaped. However, many people are wondering where did this creature come from and are there more out there?

Izuku watches the television while making him and his mother breakfast. His right arm however is in a cast as a result of last night's battle. Izuku grabs two plates for both of them and rubs his eyes.

Izuku: Mom, breakfast's ready!

Inko: Why thank you dear.

Izuku: No problem Mom.

Inko: So how's your right arm feeling?

Izuku: It still hurts, but I'm sure it'll heal pretty quickly.

Inko: That's good to hear.

Izuku: Anyways I'm glad that you're safe Mom. But I just hope those citizens are ok as well. That monster sure caused a lot of destruction. Then Izuku starts thinking about Godzilla.

Izuku: Something seemed odd about that monster. While the first one acted malicious and just wanted to kill, the other monster seemed like it came to protect us. I have to find out what is causing all these events to occur.

While Izuku is deep in thought, he hears his phone start to ring. He grabs and sees that Uraraka is calling him.

Izuku: Hello

Uraraka: Oh hey Deku. How are you feeling?

Izuku: Oh I'm feeling fine Uraraka. Just my arm is the only thing that's injured but everything else is ok.

Uraraka: I'm glad to hear that. Oh and how is your mom? Is she safe?

Izuku: Yeah she's safe and sound.

Uraraka: Good to hear. Oh by the way, did you get the text from All Might this morning too?

Izuku: What text?

Uraraka: You didn't see it. He sent a text saying that he wants to see the students from last night in his office as soon as possible.

Izuku checks his phone as he goes to messages and sees the text Uraraka mentioned.

Izuku: How soon does he want us to show up?

Uraraka: I don't know but I'm just about to leave my house and head over there. I think you should start heading over too.

Izuku: Yeah I hear you. I'll be over there in a little bit.

Uraraka: Alright, see you then Deku.

Izuku: See you?

Inko: Uraraka huh? Is she cute?

Izuku: N-N-N-N-N-No it's not like that Mom. Honest! I don't have a crush on her I swear!

Inko chuckles lightly at Izuku's reaction.

Inko: I'm just teasing you honey.

Izuku sighs in relief and decides to head over to All Might's office at U.A. High School.

Meanwhile, all the students of Class 1-A have arrived at All Might's office.

Tokoyami: I wonder why All Might called us all to his office?

Sero: Beats me.

Kirishima: Maybe it's about the attack last night.

All Might: You are correct Young Kirishima!

All Might comes out from underneath the table and makes an awesome pose.

All Might: Gooooooood morning students!

Class 1-A Students: Good morning All Might.

All Might: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! You students are so awesome!

Kirishima(thinking): Man he sure loves to pose a lot doesn't he?

Kirishima: Hey All Might, why did you call us to your office?

All Might: Excellent question young man but we are waiting for 2 more students to arrive.

Then the door suddenly opens and along enters Izuku Midoriya and Uraraka.

Izuku: Morning guys.

Uraraka: What's up you guys?

All Might rushes over to them and puts his massive arms around both of them.

All Might: Glad you two could make it!

Izuku: All Might, what's this meeting all about?

All Might: I'm glad you asked young Midoriya! I have called you here to discuss the events that unfolded in this city last night. As you see two hours ago, a nearby chopper spotted this off the coast of Osaka.

All Might turns on a nearby screen and shows footage from a chopper spotting Godzilla making his way through the water. His dorsal plates being the only visible part of his body.

Asui: Hey, isn't that the other monster that showed up last night?

Kirishima: Yeah it has to be.

All Might: Correct! It appears to just be swimming peacefully. Perhaps, looking for something.

Iida: Could it be looking for that other creature from last night?

All Might: From what we saw of it, I presume so.

Bakugo: So what? It's just a video of it swimming. It's not even doing anything. Is this all you called us in for? Just to see an overgrown lizard?!

All Might: Hahaha! Of course not! There is more!

All Might grabs a nearby remote and presses a button that causes the video to switch to another recording. The new video displayed on the screen shows a man talking over as he's recording off his phone. At first the video starts off with the camera constantly shaking until the man turns around and sees a kaiju. However, it's different from the other two the heroes witnessed the night before. The kaiju shown on the screen possesses a rock like body with golden fur appearing on its shoulders and all over its face. It's eyes resemble that of rubies, both of them the color of red. On the very top of it's head are two giant ears, like that of a dog, that sprout right up as it lets out a mighty roar. The kaiju then turns around and walks out of the city without causing any destruction or violence whatsoever. As the video ends, the entire class appears shocked.

Kirishima: What?! There's another one?!

Ashido: Man how many are there?

All Might: Many actually.

All Might clicks another button and the video changes. Now it switches to a news report that catches footage of an armadillo like kaiju that walks right past a nearby mountain. Although smaller than the mountain, the kaiju still appears quite massive. It walks on all fours at first before rolling into a ball and speeding away. All Might changes the channel once again and the video now shows two new kaiju, one resembles a dinosaur closely while the other is a giant spider.

Momo: Is that...a giant spider?! She says while sweating profusely.

Iida: There are many things that I don't want to see in life and that is one of them.

All Might changes the channel once again and it shows a giant kaiju that is similar to a pterodactyl sleeping inside a volcano. He changes it again and it shows a kaiju like that of a wooly mammoth. He changes it again, and again, and again as multiple kaiju are shown to the class. One kaiju is a long, green, slender dragon. Another is one that resembles an iguana but with green spikes all over its back. The last ones are another reptilian kaiju that possess wing flaps in between its arms and the other is a giant ape.

All Might finally finishes the videos and turns to the class.

All Might: So what do you think?!

The entire class shivers with fear and are all horrified by the images they have just seen.

All Might(thinking): Wow they're literally shaking in their boots.

Mineta: You mean to tell us that there's giant monsters all over the world?!

All Might: Yes, that was the point of this presentation. Did you not understand that?

All the students then go into a frenzy, except for Todoroki.

Todoroki: Do you know why or where these creatures came from?

All Might: No not yet and that's why I called all of you students here today. We are going to find these monsters and find out why they are here!

Students: WHAT!!?!

Bakugo: Ummm, here's a good question...how do you expect us to do that?!

All Might: By flying!

Class 1A: What?! Are you serious?!

All Might: Why yes!

Iida raises his hand.

All Might: Yes young Tenya!

Iida: Question...how exactly are we going to fly?

All Might: By using an aircraft of course. The best one suited for heroes! Come along!

All Might jumps out of the building and waves to the students.

All Might: Don't just stand there! Let's get a move on!

The entire class rushes out of the office and runs after All Might. When the class comes out of the school building, they see an incredible aircraft.

Students: Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!

All Might: Behold! I give you the Thunderbird!

The students gasp in amazement at the sight of the aircraft. It's similar to a jet, except it has the color of dark blue and it has two massive windows at the front. It also has wings that are much larger and longer than a regular jet.

All Might: And that's not all this aircraft has. He presses a button and the jet suddenly disappears. The students are surprised at this.

All Might: It also has the ability to camouflage so that way we can launch a sneak attack on any villain who tries to attack us.

Kirishima: Man that is so awesome!

Aoyama: It's so elegant and beautiful.

Sero: Wow that's one heck of an awesome jet.

Iida: Are we really going to fly this machine?

All Might: Now before we go, grab as many items as you need! We're going to be out of town for quite awhile. I suggest you tell your parents as soon as possible.

The students look at each other and depart as they head back to their homes in order to start packing.

Izuku: Is this really such a good idea? I mean we aren't weak or anything but that battle from last night wasn't easy. That monster kept gaining the upper hand and it wasn't over until that other one came in and scared it off. I hope All Might knows what he's doing.

Izuku walks back to his house and finds his mom watching the news. As he enters, he sees a quick flash of one of the kaiju. Izuku quickly closes the door and rushes to the couch. His mother sees him run right next to her as he immediately sits on the couch.

Inko: Izuku what's the rush?

Izuku: Mom turn up the tv please.

Inko: Ok...sure.

His mother grabs the remote and turns up the volume as a newscaster exclaims about another kaiju sighting. The television shows helicopter footage of Godzilla fighting another kaiju. Izuku immediately recognizes Godzilla but his eyes become transfixed on his opponent as it's a completely new kaiju. From what Izuku can see of it, the kaiju appears to be made out of rock and lava as magma drips from cracks in its body. The kaiju has no eyes but a large mouth completely filled with hot liquid magma. The kaiju leaps at Godzilla, but he ducks and his opponent barely misses him. Godzilla then releases his atomic breath and sends the kaiju crashing into a nearby mountain. The newscaster's voice then becomes present.

Newscaster: As you can see from this footage, another one of these creatures has just appeared. Witnesses say that the new creature emerged just an hour ago and began to act aggressive to those near it. Luckily, they state that the reptile-like creature arrived just in time to distract the other monster. All locals are being evacuated and safely transported to nearby shelters.

Inko: I can't believe this is happening. How did these creatures just show up out of nowhere?

Izuku listens to his mother as he remembers why he returned home.

Izuku: Oh mom, I have to tell you something.

His mother turns to him with a worried expression.

Izuku: I'm going to be gone for a couple of weeks with my class. But don't worry All Might will be there with us.

Inko: Does this have anything to do with those things on T.V.?

Izuku: Yes

Inko: Then absolutely not!

Izuku: Mom, I have to go. If I'm ever gonna be a great hero, I have to tackle situations that are as big as this! I can't just sit in this house and stay in the city when the whole world could be under attack! I know you're worried but if I can't join my class on this expedition to find out the origins of these monsters, then not only could Musutafu be in danger but the entire world could be too. This is what a hero is mom. He faces any challenge that he comes across and faces it head on.

Inko looks up at her son as tears start to form. She stands up and hugs Izuku.

Inko: I love you Izuku.

Izuku hugs his mother back as he tries his best to keep his emotions in check.

Izuku: I love you too mom.

Inko: Let me go help you pack.

An hour passes by and Izuku's bag is filled and ready to go. He stands by the door and prepares to leave. But before he does, he sits with his mother and comforts her.

Izuku: I'll be alright mom. I'll come back to you as soon as I can.

Inko: You better.

Izuku kisses his mom on the forehead and walks out the door. As Izuku crosses the street and heads back to U.A. High School, he turns around and gets one last look at his neighborhood. He stops and takes a deep breath as this might be the last time he sees his home. Izuku then stands up straight and continues walking.

Twenty minutes later and he finally arrives. As he walks closer to the aircraft he sees that almost all the students are here with the exception of a few missing. Izuku joins the group as he spots Iida and Todoroki. He runs up to them.

Izuku: For a second there I thought I was going to be one of the early ones to make it.

Iida: I actually just arrived a few short minutes ago. It's Todoroki who was the earliest.

Todoroki: I just wanted to get away from my father as soon as possible.

Izuku: My mother didn't want me to go at first but luckily I convinced her.

Iida: The same for my mother. She was horrified by the idea of me leaving but thanks to my father, he convinced her to let me leave.

As they talk, Izuku hears Uraraka's voice.

He turns around and sees her talking on her phone.

Izuku: Oh hey Uraraka.

Uraraka: Hey Deku.

Izuku: Who was that on the phone?

Uraraka: Just my parents. They kept calling me the entire way here because they wanted to make sure that I had everything. I kept saying yes but after every time I hung up, they immediately called again.

Izuku: Geez, sounds like your parents are even more worried about the trip than my mother.

Izuku and Uraraka grow silent as All Might appears on top of the thunderbird.

All Might: I am here!

He jumps down and sticks the landing.

All Might: Glad to see that you could all make it! Now students we have another hero joining us on this trip!

Then a mysterious figure appears on top of the Thunderbird and lands next to All Might.

The students are shocked as to who it was.

Students: Mr. Aizawa?!

Mr. Aizawa: Hey you dumb kids.

Kaminari: Oh man this trip is gonna be boring with Mr. Aizawa around.

Mr. Aizawa glares at Kaminari angrily.

Mr. Aizawa: Is that a problem?

Kaminari: N-No sir! Of course not! We're glad to have you come with us on this trip!

Mr. Aizawa calms down and looks towards All Might.

Mr. Aizawa: So is that everybody?

All Might: Well there is one more person.

Mr. Aizawa is confused.

All Might: Alright young students let's go on our trip!

Students: Yeah!!!!!!!

All the students, All Might and Shota Aizawa go inside the Thunderbird. The students are in awe as the inside of the ship is absolutely massive. Black vinyl with streaks blue covers the inside of the ship. At the front, rows of seats can be seen along with a large table right in the center of the ship. The very top of the table appears to be equipped with some sort of holographic tech. Beyond the table, two large seats are seen. One intended for the pilot and the other intended for the co-pilot. Just above the seats are two massive windows that are at the front of the jet.

Izuku: Wow this is incredible All MIght.

All Might: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! If you think that's incredible, then I have another surprise for you.

Izuku is confused.

All Might: Come with me Young Midoriya.

All Might opens the door and Izuku is shocked to see who it is.

Izuku: No it can't be.

Izuku forms a smile as Gran Tarino walks out of the door.

Gran Torino: Well, well; nice to see you again kid.

Izuku: Gran Torino! What are you doing here?

Gran Torino: All Might asked me to come join you guys. He said it would be dangerous so he needed some help from a fellow pro hero. He called me and I agreed to join you youngsters on this trip.

All Might: Thank you for coming along Torino.

As All Might is about to give Gran Torino a pat on the back, the old man gives the hero a death glare. All Might immediately puts down his hand.

All Might: Sorry about that!

Gran Torino: Don't get too comfortable Toshinori. I can still beat you in a fight.

All Might: Of course...

Gran Torino smiles and walks off to find a seat. All Might and Izuku follow shortly after. All the students find their seats and buckle themselves up. All Might and Aizawa place themselves in the pilot seats. After buckling, they place headsets over their heads.

All Might: This is your captain speaking! We suggest all passengers to hold on tight and prepare themselves for lift off!

Aizawa flips a few switches that begin to ignite the engines. All Might presses a button that starts to bring the wheels in located on the bottom of the Thunderbird.

Aizawa: All systems are ready for launch.

All Might: Lift off in ten... nine...eight...seven... six...five...four...three...two..!

The Thunderbird begins to shake and shiver as the engine becomes more alive. The class continues holding on to their seats.

All Might: Blast off!!!

The Thunderbird immediately launches off the ground and right into the sky. All the students feel a sudden rush of wind as they can barely move. While the class is startled, Gran Torino just coughs and stares at the front of the aircraft. Aizawa grabs one of the control wheels and straightens out the Thunderbird. The students begin to calm down and cease their screams. Thanks to the windows at the cockpit of the Thunderbird, the class gets a full view of their surroundings as clouds stretch out far and wide. The clear blue sky amazes the students and even Gran Torino is impressed by the sight. All Might then increases speed on the Thunderbird as it goes farther and farther through the clouds.
