My Forever Love-Ch 2
The rest of January flew by with the team being called away on case after case, even though Derek would call his baby girl several times a day and they would face time every night they still missed each other oh so much. Penelope was now over 2 months pregnant and still suffering from morning sickness, it wasn't as bad as before but bad enough to make Fran stay close to her future daughter-in-law.
Penelope had lost almost 10 pounds since she found out she was pregnant and that was because of her morning sickness, Fran had talked to Penelope's OB and got a prescription for something to help with the nausea. Penelope was currently laying on the couch in her office resting while she waited for the nausea medication to start doing it's thing, Fran was right beside her and when her nausea finally subsided Fran handed her a cup of tea and some toast with honey.
Penelope smiled at Fran and said, "thank you" as she took a sip of her tea, Fran remembered that nausea and she felt so sorry for Penelope that she was having to go through that but Penelope knew that the morning sickness was a normal progression for the pregnancy.
After she finished her tea and toast Fran said, "honey why don't you take a nap, I'll wake you if anything happens", Penelope nodded her head and said, "well maybe just a few minutes", Fran said, "rest is good for you and the baby right now and since the medication is helping with the nausea now is the time to rest", Penelope said, "no arguments here Fran, none at all", both women grinned and Fran watched as Penelope laid down and closed her eyes.
A few minutes later Penelope's cell started ringing, Fran looked and saw "Hotstuff" flashing on the ID and grinned as she picked it up and hit talk, she said, "hello baby boy", Derek said, "momma, what are you answering baby girls cell, wait, wait, is she alright?", Fran said, "yes, yes, she's fine, her nausea was really bad so I contacted her OB and got something for the nausea and she's currently sleeping behind me here on the couch".
Derek said, "how's she really doing momma?", Fran said, "well she saw her OB yesterday and she's lost 10 pounds", Derek said, "she's lost weight, she's not suppose to do that, she's suppose to gain weight". Fran said, "ohhhh trust me honey I know that, I have had a few kids of my own ya know?", Derek ran his hand over his head and said, "I'm sorry momma, I didn't mean anything".
Fran said, "it's okay baby boy, you're just worried about your future bride who just happens to be carrying your first child aka my first grand child", Derek said, "I love you momma", Fran grinned and said, "and I love you baby boy". Fran looked over her shoulder and saw that Penelope was sleeping peacefully, she said, "hang on a second and I'll let you see Penelope", Derek grinned and waited for a few seconds before Fran hit the video button and started showing his sleeping fiancee.
"Derek said, "she looks so peaceful doesn't she?", Fran said, "she does, she's tired but good, she's been working hard to try to find something so that you and the others can come home", Derek said, "she works too hard momma, she needs to rest right now", Fran said, "she knows that both me and her doctor have told her that and she understands, don't worry she'll be okay, she's a strong woman, she's going to be a Morgan after all".
Derek laughed and said, "that she is momma, that she is and a good one at that", Fran smiled and said, "I couldn't have said it better myself baby boy", Derek said, "I'll call back later momma, don't tell baby girl that I called". Fran said, "are you sure?", he said, "yeah, I'm sure, I don't want her to worry about me unnecessarily", Fran nodded her head and said, "okay honey, I won't tell her but you and the others be safe and come home soon".
He grinned and said, "we will momma, we will and please watch over her for me, make sure that she doesn't overdo it", Fran said, "on it son don't worry about us", he said, "bye momma", she said, "bye baby boy". After the call ended he smiled and said, "soon sweetness, soon you'll be my wife and I'll show you everyday how much you and our baby mean to me", he was pulled from his thoughts when Reid walked into the room and said, "Morgan, we have a lead".
Derek smiled and said, "alright pretty boy, let's find this sicko and get back home", Reid said, "sounds good to me" as the two of them walked out of the room and up the hall to rejoin the others and catch the unsub that had managed to hide from them for several days so they can get back home to the people they love.
