Chapter 21

Sam and his team were ready to leave at eleven pm to give them plenty of time to check the place out and make any last-minute changes to their plan. Everyone had brought their own weapons prepared for a battle. Smoke had constructed small bombs that could be easily planted but would have a big bang. Chaos had brought a pair of night vision goggles so he could see to drive without the headlights when they got close to the compound.

The first stage of their plan was to fly a drone over the compound with thermal imaging to see where the warm bodies were. That would determine how to proceed. The guards at the gate house and towers would be taken out first to allow access into the compound. Doc was able to find canisters of a quick acting gas that would knock out anyone in a small area. If there was a barracks with sleeping henchmen, it would work well.

There was a small rise just before the compound and Chaos stopped the van so they could begin with the first step. Zero unpacked the drone and prepared it for flight as the others armed themselves. All were dressed in black and had a thin black hood to put on when they entered the compound. They didn't want their faces caught on any cameras that might be situated around the place.

The drone hummed over their heads as Zero checked the maneuvering of the drone first before sending it toward the buildings behind the rock wall. Sam and Chaos watched on the laptop screen.

"I bet that's a barracks," Chaos noted as the drone hovered over one building that showed shapes that seemed to be lying down in beds.

"We know there's a man in each tower and one in the guardhouse, so that's three to take out," Sam said. He squinted as the drone moved over another building. "Look at this, all the warm spots seemed crowded together on the floor."

"They are probably prisoners made to work for this asshole," Doc assessed. "This is the main house and looks like there's several bodies on the second floor, probably the boss and some poor girl."

"Here," Sam pointed to another section of the building where two blobs of warm mass were by themselves. They were positioned about ten feet apart and there was no movement. "I think this is Dad and Dean. They're isolated from everyone else."

"Bring it back Zero," Chaos told him when they saw everything they needed.

Zero carefully flew the drone back to the van and eased it to the ground. He turned it off and packed it away.

"Okay phase two," Sam told the others. "Zero, the towers are yours and I'll take out the guard in the guardhouse."

"Here's comms for everyone," Smoke offered handing out earpieces to everyone.

"Chao,s can you ease the van a little closer and I'll use the top to set up the shots," Zero instructed him.

"No problem," Chaos replied. He started the van and did as ask, stopping before it could be seen.

Smoke gave Zero a hand up onto the top of the van and handed him his sniper weapon. He accepted a blanket and spread it out before laying on the van and folding out the legs of the gun. He had placed a night vision scope on the rifle, along with a silencer, and began his adjustments.

Sam crept toward the compound until he had to drop to his stomach and combat crawled along the edge of the wall, staying in the shadows. He was going to wait until Zero took out the guards in the tower before making his move.

"I'm in place," Sam whispered softly as he pulled a K bar knife from the sheath on his belt.

"The one on the right," Zero replied as he focused on the guard sitting in a chair smoking a cigarette. He drew in a long breath and let it out slowly as he watched the burning end of the cigarette. He pulled the trigger and watched the guard fall to the side. In a fluid motion, he swung the rifle to the other tower and found his target. Again, he located the target in the crosshairs and fired. "Done Titan."

That was Sam's signal to proceed. He crawled to the door and scratched on it to get the guard's attention. A moment later when the door opened, Sam sprang up and drove the knife between the ribs and into the guard's heart. He pushed him back into the shack out of the way.

"Target eliminated," Sam spoke over the comm. "Bring the van around." Sam used the dim light of a lamp to study the controls and found the one to open the gate. He looked out and saw it silently swing open. Once that was done, he smashed the controls so it couldn't be closed again. He shut off the cameras and exited the shack to meet the others.

The van rolled slowly into the yard of the compound and moved to the side of one of the smaller buildings.

"You know what to do. Meet me in the second building. I may need help with my family," Sam instructed everyone.

Everyone got out and split up. Doc and Zero took the barracks to set off the gas and take them out of the mix. Smoke searched for prime sites for his bombs. Sam and Chaos headed for the small building to check it out.

"Will you look at that," Chaos whistled as his light panned over bags full of white powder stacked on a table and other bags of marijuana on another table.

"Smoke, we need some of your bombs in this building when you are done," Sam spoke into the comm.

"Will be there shortly," Smoke replied.

"Look at this," Sam called to Chaos when he found a money counting machine and bundles of bills neatly arranged down the table. He quickly looked around and found duffels with drugs in them and dumped them to replace the content with the money. When the bags were full, he passed them to Chaos to take them to the van as he continued his search.

The adjourning room had cells along one wall and when he let his light shine inside saw bodies huddled together. Scared faces stared back at him.

"Do you speak English?" Sam asked.

"Yes," several answered in shaky voices.

"I'm going to release you and you need to leave this place," he told them as he looked around for the keys. Sam spotted them hanging near the door and retrieved them so he could unlock the doors. "Go, don't come back, you're free. Go through that door and there's bundles of money on a table. Take what you can carry but don't touch the drugs, they are booby trapped. Do you understand?"

The prisoner spoke quietly between themselves before answering Sam.

"Yes, we understand," one replied.

"Thank you, gracias," the prisoners mumbled in passing as they scurried from the room and disappeared.

The room Sam wanted was at the back of the building. The others had caught up with him and waited as he broke into the room. The stench of urine, blood, and sweat made them gag and cover their noses. Sam found a light switch and turned it on, only to gasp in shock and horror at the two bodies inside.

Dean was chained on one side of the room and John on the other. Dean was naked with a scrap of a blanket covering him. His body was riddled with bruises, scrapes, and when Sam looked closer, he could see track marks on his arms. John had been beaten mercilessly, whipped, burned, and had broken bones.

"Dad," Sam cried out dropping to the floor beside him. "Can you hear me?"

John moved his head and opened his eye that wasn't swollen shut. He tried to see who was talking to him and stared in surprise when Sam removed his hood.

"Sam," John rasped, his voice raw and hoarse.

"Yeah, Dad, it's me. I'm going to get you out of here."

"Your brother," John begged pointing to Dean. "Help him."

"Doc is looking at him right now," Sam replied looking over at Doc. "How is he?"

"He's unconscious and not doing good," Doc told him in a grim tone.

"They kept giving him drugs," John coughed and groaned in pain.

"Look after them and get them to the van. I have one more thing to do," Sam growled as his rage took hold. "Smoke do you have any of your bombs left?"

"Yes, a couple," Smoke answered handing Sam his bag.

"Pull the van outside and wait on me," Sam ordered. "My team will get you and Dean out of here Dad. It's going to be okay." He cupped his father's face for a moment and smiled lovingly at him before hurrying from the room.

Sam headed for the main house and broke in. He made his way up the stairs to the master bedroom and quietly opened the door. He stepped into the room and walked over to the bed. He turned on the lamp and looked down on the monster who dare harm his family.

"What…" Torres-Perez started but was stopped suddenly when Sam slammed a fist into his stomach making him expel all the air in his lungs.

Before he could recover, Sam had him on his stomach and hog tied his wrists and ankles together with a special cord he had made while overseas. The more a person struggled with the binding, the tighter it became until all the blood was cut off.

"Leave," Sam told a frightened young woman who stared in shock at Sam. "Now!" he yelled.

The young woman pulled the blanket from the bed and fled the room as Sam turned back to the leader of the drug ring. He grabbed a dirty sock and stuffed it into the man's mouth and pulled a small roll of duct tape out of a side pocket so he could wrap it around his head to hold it in place.

The handy dandy duct tape was taken on every mission since it was the universal tool for any task. Sam had gotten used to carrying some with him wherever he went.

"You messed with the wrong family," Sam sneered into Torres-Perez's ear. He took out a bomb and set the timer before placing it on the bed in front of his face where he could watch the time count down. "You're going to hell where you belong." He walked out of the room as the leader tried to scream and wail around the sock in his mouth. He couldn't move because of the way he was tied and could only watch the counter tick down.

Sam got in the back of the van with his father and Dean. He nodded to Smoke that he could set off the bombs and bring this place to the ground.

"They need a hospital," Doc spoke softly to Sam. "Your Dad is in bad shape."

The explosions began to go off sending balls of fire, smoke, and debris into the night air. The gas tanks spewed fireballs in all directions setting fire to other buildings.

Chaos headed down the road as fast as he could to get medical attention for John and Dean.

"Sam," John mumbled, raising a shaking hand to weakly grip Sam's arm.

"Yes Dad, I'm here," Sam answered leaning closer to his father.

"I know what you did," he started, trailing off as he tried to breathe. "Found letters to Dean…I'm proud of you…Son…"

"Don't talk Dad, save your strength," Sam told him as tears filled his eyes. This was the first time he had heard this from his father. "Dad?" Sam cried out as John lapsed into unconsciousness.

"Drive faster Chaos," Doc told him. He knew time wasn't on their side and hoped they had gotten to them in time. Both were dehydrated, starved, tortured, and beaten severely. It would be a miracle if they survived their ordeals.

A/N: The missing have been found and are not in good shape. Will they be okay? Reviews/Comments would be great. NC
