My Forever Love-Ch 3
Later that night Penelope was sitting at the kitchen counter eating a light supper with Fran when her cell started ringing, she smiled down at her cell when she saw, "Hotstuff" flashing on the ID. She hit talk and said, "hiya hotstuff", he grinned from ear to ear and said, "hi yourself beautiful, how are you and the little one doing?", Penelope sighed and said, "we're good, we are sitting here eating dinner with your mom".
Derek said, "well we are wheels up and should be home in a few hours", she yawned and said, "that's good my love, I can't wait to see you", he said, "and I can't wait to see you but it sounds like you are exhausted". Fran grinned at her future daughter in law and said, "I'm going to head into the living room so that the two of you can talk in private", she smiled and mouthed the words, "thank you" as she watched Fran get up and walk out of the room
Penelope said, "I'm glad that you caught that sick freak and are now on your way home to me sugar", Derek said, "me too sweetness, me too, I can't tell you how much I miss you and our wee one". Penelope grinned and said, "and we've missed you too", her hand slid down to her stomach and said, "didn't we little one".
Derek said, "well baby girl, how are you feeling and I want to hear the truth, not what you think I want to hear", she blew out a deep breath and said, "this nausea is driving me crazy but I have something to take for it now and it's not as bad as it was before". Derek said, "that's good to hear and now i have another question for ya", she said, 'alright my vision, lay it on me", he laughed and then said, "what did the doctor say when you saw her?", Penelope sighed and opened her mouth to speak".
She said, "well the pregnancy is progressing normally", Derek said, "and you?", she said, "welllllll I've lost a little weight", he said, "how much is a little?", Penelope said, "almost 10 pounds handsome but that's only because with the nausea I couldn't eat anything". Derek said, "and now?",Penelope said, "I'm doing better today, I just finished dinner and I was actually able to have some chocolate today".
Derek grinned and said, "that's great news baby girl, I'm so glad to hear that", Penelope rubbed her stomach and said, "me too my love, me too because I will do whatever it takes to make sure that our baby is happy and healthy". Derek said, "and I will do the same for you and our little one because you two are the most important people in the world too me", Penelope said, "I know sugar, I know".
A few minutes later the call ended and Penelope cleaned up her dinner dishes and headed to her temporary room, she was exhausted and was more than ready for bed so once she walked into her bedroom she toed off her shoes and headed to get something to sleep into for the night so that she could lay down and get more rest.
few hours later Derek walked into her bedroom and stood beside the bed smiling, she looked so beautiful laying there sleeping, he toed off his shoes and gently climbed onto the bed behind her. Then, he wrapped his arms around her and snuggled closer, ohhhh how he'd missed this, he'd missed laying cuddled up with her but now that he was home he was going to make up for lost time.
As he laid there he gently laid his hand against her stomach and smiled, he then whispered, "good night baby girl, good night little angel, daddy loves you and your momma both sooooo much and I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that the two of you are safe, happy and healthy and that little one is a promise".
