Molly McGee decided to call her boyfriend, Oliver "Ollie" Chen, via video phone. She had something she wanted to talk to him about.
"Hello dreamboat," Molly said.
"Hello dear," Ollie replied.
Molly began to speak. "For a while now we've been boyfriend and girlfriend."
"Yeah," Ollie said.
"I just got to thinking, I actually knew my good friend Libby before I knew you. I think I want to include her in our romantic relationship. You know, polyamory," Molly said.
"I've heard about stuff like this. Are you sure you want to do this Molly? I mean Libby is a very good friend of ours, but this is a huge step we are taking," Ollie said.
"I am as sure as the day I was born. I want to do this. Let's get Libby into our chat," Molly said.
"I understand, Molly. Let's do this," Ollie said.
Molly called Libby to get her to join the video conference. "Molly, Ollie, hi there!" Libby said.
"Molly has something she wants to ask you," Ollie said.
"Libby, I've been friends with you for a long time. And in this time, you've also come to be friends with my boyfriend Ollie. But I met you first. And now I ask, would you want to join me and Ollie in a polyamorous relationship?" Molly asked her best friend.
"You mean this for sure?" Libby asked.
"Yes she does," Ollie said.
"Then the answer is yes!" Libby exclaimed. "I've written a lot of love stories before, but I'd never imagined I'd be part of a real-life love story this early in my life. I'm only 14. But you can't second-guess fate."
From then on out, Ollie, Molly and Libby would be a polyamourous couple. Or throuple is more like it. Not having Scratch around anymore was tough for the girl who wanted to enhappify the world, but her romantic partners would get her through it. Besides, Todd one day was bound to remember his time as a wraith. When that day came, he would get in contact with Molly, her family, and her friends so that he could be a part of their lives again.
