Arrival
The sun spread its vibrant wings across the afternoon sky of Remnant painting the blue, clear sky with golden hues. The light spread across the land and onto the vibrant red leaves that filled the trees. Birds sang and danced in the morning sky akin to trained dancers while wolves ran with their pack like coordinated army soldiers. Amid it all, a cool breeze blew leaves from trees. The leaves flew away like birds, until one landed itself into someone's gloved palm. The figure gently held the leaf in his hand, examining its bright red saturation. Holding the leaf up to his face, his deep ocean blue eyes examined the leaf with wonder.
Taking in a breath, the figure blew into his palm and watched as the leaf flew away and joined other red leaves like long departed friends reuniting. The wind blew his golden blond hair to the side as he observed his surroundings; his green, pointy hat kept any other hair from blowing in the wind. The forest of red seemed to stretch on for miles on end and mountains surrounded the far edges of it. A singular leaf blew down and landed on his horse's nostril. The horse snorted and the leaf blew onto the ground, causing the boy to snicker. This boy was Link, Hero of Time, savior of Hyrule and Termina, and most definitely not home. He had realized the fact that, once again, he was in a parallel world. This fact was driven home when he had encountered strange black creatures
"If I'm not in Hyrule or Termina then where am I?", the hero said softly. His horse seemed to agree with him, letting out a comical snort.
"Looks like we won't be returning you to Malon anytime soon, Epona." the boy said as he stroked her mane. The horse seemed to be saddened at his words and the boy comforted the horse by continuing stroking Epona's mane. Epona relaxed at his touch, and with a gentle tap from Link's heel, she continued to slowly trot through the forest. Leaves and grass crunched under Epona's hooves as they continued through no path. The feeling of wandering reminded him of how he ended up in this predicament in the first place. How he and Epona had traveled through the foggy Lost Woods. Feeling small compared to the gigantic trees while the sun shone down on you.
It was similar, if not concerning, parallel to his current situation. A situation that had landed him in the parallel world of Termina. Where was he now anyway? Were there even people in this world? He knew there were at least animals since he had seen birds and some squirrels. But were there any people? Would he have to survive in the woods until he returned home? Would he ever find his way home? Would he ever see his friends again? Thoughts of beautiful red hair flooded his memory as he remembered his time in the Hylian countryside. These thoughts were interrupted by two deafening noises:
BOOM
"REN!"
Link and Epona's heads whipped up so fast that they should've gotten whiplash.
'Was that an explosion?!', Link thought to himself. Moreover, it sounded like a person; meaning the young hero wasn't trapped in a world without civilization. However, it sounded like those people were in trouble. And, as the Hero chosen by the goddess and wielding the Triforce of Courage, it was his duty to save people. With a tap to Epona's side with his foot the hero and his steed were off to save the world from evil once more.
