(BSC 6 C40) C232 Five days part three

Tracy had popped back in the middle of the night. When she got there she saw Luna sitting on the ground before the gate with Gabrielle sitting next to her. When she had left, the face of Luna had been one of sorrow and frustration. When she returned, she found Luna sleeping at the same spot but her expression had been one of peace. She did not know why but it reassured her a little when she saw it. Slowly she walked to the end and grabbed a blanket from inside the tent. Just as she was about to go out again Fawkes flashed Luna onto a bed. Tracy gave a small smile of thanks and draped the blanket over Luna.

".She had been sitting at the gate from the moment I got here," Gabrielle told her. "Her face changed about an hour ago but we do not know what it means".

Tracy brushed her hand through the hair of Luna and looked at her fondly. "Knowing Luna it might mean everything or nothing at all. The only thing we can do is wait until she wakes up".

Gabrielle nodded and walked to the gate. She had been trying to call Harry in her mind. Minerva and Lily had responded just like Zanita had done. but Harry did not. As she grabbed the gate she could feel it being locked but she did not get the pushback to get out of there. Tracy did but the tent was far enough away for her not to feel it. If she had been a muggle she could not even have gotten this close. Luna did have the pushback but she was fighting it and after ten hours she could handle it.

Slowly Gabrielle got back and sat down next to Tracy. "We will not find him alive will we," she asked.

Tracy was still brushing her hand through the hair of Luna and shook her head slowly. "Everything we know says no. Harry is the one who would give his life for all of us. They say that the Dark Lords could still be alive, but if they are then we have missed one of their soul containers". Gabrielle was looking at Tracy but her eyes kept on closing. "Are you tired?" Tracy asked. Gabrielle nodded and stepped up to the other bed that was in the tent. When he placed her head on the pillow she was out.

The Veela healer who was with them waved her wand over Gabrielle and looked at the results. "There is nothing wrong with her," The Veela told her. Something is wrong but nothing tells me what".

"Do you think we have to get her to Poppy".

"Not yet, everything seems good so let's just look at it for now. I will check her every hour to see if it gets worse. If it does we will take her to Poppy. There I will have the potions I will need if that happens" the Veela told her as she looked at Gabrielle who was sleeping at the moment.

Tracy didn't say a thing and just walked to the gate. She looked at the front door. She could see someone lying there in front of the open door. But she could not see who it was. It had been two whole days and a couple of hours ago that Harry activated the ward. The forest had died down even more and she could see a far way into it. Still, it was as dark as it had always been in the distance. The Forbidden Forest made his name proud. The only saving grace they had was that the spiders would also die out. It did help them by cleaning it up after the five days. But looking at the trees in front of the castle it was a fact that everything had died that had been inside of the wards of Hogwarts.

As she had gotten back into the tent she sat down and just waited until Luna would wake up.

Amelia had arrived at the infirmary in Longbottom Manor early in the morning. Just as she had done the day before, her first stop had been at the side of the bed of Susan. She was still, out of it just like all the others. "How long will it be before you wake them up". Amelia asked as Poppy stepped up next to her.

Poppy waved her wand over Hermione as Emma sat down next to her daughter. "Later this evening. I could do it in the afternoon but if I do they will want to go to you at the Witangemot. That is one thing I do not want them to do before tomorrow. So I will wake them all up when you all are back".

"What is happening".

Everyone turned as they all looked at Minerva as she was waking up. "Mini, We are just preparing for a second day dealing with the interrogations. Amelia had just come in to have a look at her niece". Minerva looked at her but didn't say a thing as she waited for Poppy to explain further. "This is the third day so we only have one day left to wait before we can go and get Harry's body".

"How is Harry doing" Minerva asked as she turned to his bed which was still empty. A look of pure pain and loss crossed her face as she hung her head. They all knew she was searching for her cub in her mind and the lack of feeling him took a lot out of her. She swung her legs over the edge of the bed and started to get dressed.

"Mum," Lily said as she walked in with Alice and Isabella following her. "You do not have to come with us this time. Yesterday was tasking enough for you. We almost had to carry you in here. Today might even be longer and you still need your rest".

Lily ment well but the look of Minerva made her almost run behind Alice to get out of the storm that was screaming in the eyes of Minerva. After a very deep sigh, the eyes of Minerva softened a little bit as they turned to Poppy. "Pop, can I co with them? If I stay here it will only worry me more. When you wake them up tonight I will stay with them together with Augusta and Shannon(Birdmom, Grandmere).

"If it were up to me I would like you to stay here but I know you would not listen. You are just as stubborn as a boy I know. But you can go now. But when you all go for lunch I want you to eat it here so I can have a look at you. If that is fine you may go until dinner when we do the same".

Minerva gave another sigh and knew she could not go against her friend or she would keep her all day and tie her up, just to keep her in bed. "I will do it, but when Harry comes back he will need my Memories".

"Mum" Lily started. "Mum, we don't think Harry is coming back. The Veela Heeler who went to Luna to check up on her came back late last night. You had already been here in bed so you could not know what she said" and Lily swallowed at what she had to tell her mum. "She told us that everything around Hogwarts was dying. The forest looked like a forest of dry wood. Branches have been broken off, and just fell to the ground. There is no wind and all the leaves have been falling. Even if Harry has survived the battle. He can never survive the lack of air. He is dead" Lily told her.

The face of Minerva didn't change and just looked at her daughter. Lily found it painful because she was thinking that her mum was in denial of the fact. She shook her head as she looked over at Isabella who was sitting next to Daphne with Arabella at her side sitting next to Bella. Isabella just shook her head. Minerva stepped from the bed and staggered a little bit. Poppy looked at her and saw that her next steps were solid. She did not like it but she could not hold her friend back. Minerva needed this distraction or she would be a handful for her, all day.

When everybody had left, Poppy went from friend to friend to check them all. She saw a Veela doing the same the other way around so they would meet at the end. When they got there Poppy looked up and saw the frown on the face of the Veela. "What did you find".

The Veela looked at Bella. "I don't know, but something isn't right. The signs on Bella are off but I can't see why. The same thing has been happening with Gabrielle. She didn't feel well but nothing told us why. So I just don't know".

Poppy looked from Bella to Daphne. I had the same thing with Daphne. In all my years I can tell that something isn't right. But with all my knowledge I do not know what".

Amelia had been sitting in her new office as the minister of magic. She knew it was temporary, but it would become permanent when the friends were up and among them again. It was a hard task to do when they were not with her. Yesterday they had run it themselves but she found herself missing them. She hated the way they took them down at the moment it happened. But as she thought back she wanted them to do it now.

"Amelia are you ready" Croaker asked as he saw her sitting there. She did not react so he walked before her and sat down. "Less, what is on your mind" Croaker asked as he took down his hood. It took a couple of minutes before Amelia reacted and Croaker waited until she did.

"Are we doing it right?" Amelia looked up as she asked it. "You know doing this without them here, without any of them".

This iron woman turned into a little wounded bird right in front of his eyes. He hung closer and placed his chin in his folded hands and he leaned on the desk. "This is what they want us to do, Harry told us in his goodbye letter".

Amelia sniffed and swallowed. "It is hard without them. I'm so afraid we are doing it wrong. I'm so afraid that the kids will crumble now that Harry will not be coming back. He was their leader. He might not have been the brain but he was the one. He went in first and he came out last. He took the blows when we all ducked. I can't think of anything or anyone who can take his place. Hell all of us the Adults together could not even take his place. It is like Daphne had once told us all. It takes a pure soul to keep away the dark. Harry had the purest soul of any of us. Just think about yesterday. How many of us would have given Draco Malfoy the help he had given him? After everything that boy had done, he had given him a way out because he saw he could. None of us would have given him a second chance like he did. None of us would have thought about helping everyone as they did".

Croaker waited as he listened to Amelia telling what she had pushed down so long. The way she had reacted when Susan came back after the fight with the troll told him it had hurt her. To know that her niece was lying in the Infirmary again was even harder on her. Croaker sighed as Amelia had stopped talking. "I do not know what to tell you. They are exceptional. They have done things we could have done if we had thought about it. For now, you are doing it right. Harry told you to question and be fair". Amelia didn't say a thing and just looked at him. "You are all doing what they asked, and there is nothing more we can do. So let's get on with it. The faster we do this the earlier we can get to them for Poppy to wake them up".

When Amelia walked into the Witangemot chamber she saw Bogrod sitting in her house seat. there was no doubt in her mind that he would be sitting there while Susan was dealing with Hogwarts. She looked further and saw James and Frank sitting in their house seats as well. When she saw Sirius sitting in the Black seat she had to think about last night. Emma had told them about the fertility clinic the kids had talked about and they had talked about it themselves. She was older but her body could still have a child. Sirius did not think he could have kids after his stay in Azkaban. So in the normal way, the outcome would be zero. This way they had a better chance because only his swimmers would be placed back, that is if he had any".

David was sitting next to the Patil and Davis Lords. A Veela was sitting in the Longbottom seat as Augusta took the floor. "The interrogations are in session," Augusta said. One by one they went through them all. After a lunch that Minerva took at the ministry. Somehow they all knew she was avoiding Poppy at the moment. It was not only Poppy she was avoiding, but also the empty bed from Harry. None said anything about it because they all knew what she was avoiding to go home, so they let her be.

After Lunch, they all started on the marked Death Eaters and the men from Grindelwald. This was going to take longer than they wanted and they knew it would be another long day tomorrow. The stories they were hearing were horrible. One was more gruesome than the other. Some of them were glad that the kids weren't here to hear them. None knew they already had seen some of it.

When they got to eight in the evening, they all realized that none of them had eaten yet. So Amelia looked at Augusta and at Croaker to know they would stop for tonight. Just as Augusta called it Minerva slumped down a bit. "Mum" what's wrong, Lily asked as she looked at her mother.

"Just, that it has been a long day dear," Minerva whispered. Before they knew it Augusta had called for Snot to take her away. The moment she was gone Lily took a seat and her eyes slumped down. James was with her but she just smiled up at him.

"James, what is wrong with her" Sirius asked him as he saw the eyes of Lily close again.

"I, think it has been the long hours of the last days. We all need some rest so let's not make it too late tonight" James told him as he still looked at Lily with concern.

Sirius just looked at Amelia and knew that they would be talking to Poppy later on. Something wasn't right. Sure Minerva could have trouble with the long hours. She was older and mentally she had it tough. But Lily was young. Because of the time they had been asleep, they had not aged a day. So they were thy youngest here at the moment. The look he got back told him he had been right.

Draco had gone back to his place at the Peverell grounds. He knew he could go to Malfoy Manor now that the wards were his. But somehow he wanted the okay from one of his new friends. They had done it all and in his mind, he needed their go-ahead. His Girlfriend was taking a shower and had called for him to join her. When she was done she found him sitting on the chair still looking at the fire. He hadn't moved an inch and she knew just what was bothering him. "Still thinking at what Harry had done". Draco didn't move and kept his eyes on the fire. When she placed her arm around him he jumped up in fright.

"Where have you been just now" she asked him. She knew the whole story because he had told her that day.

"I just don't get it" Draco started. "Why would he do it for everyone while all of us have treated him so badly". Draco felt the lips of his girlfriend on his cheeks. "We did it at school, the ministry did it in the paper, at the Witenagemot. They did it everywhere, and still, he does this".

"I do not think this will help. But I did hear a couple of Veelas talking about it. They had the same frustration you are having now. When I heard them they said that Nolwenn had told it to them".

Draco looked at her. "You mean that woman who is with my mother now".

"Yes, that one. You do not think it is a problem do you".

"A little," He told her honestly. "But it is not her I have a problem with also not the fact she is with my mum. My father has treated her terribly and I understand why she is with her. I also see a love I have never seen her give my father. He did not deserve it but I just never saw it. The problem I have is in me. I have come a long way but a lot of it will need a long time before it is completely changed. It is still, Harry who had given her the happiness I had to give her all those years. Still, I can't understand it or why Harry did what he has done".

"Well, like I started to say. Nolwenn had told them when they asked her why Harry loved them so much. Her answer had shocked them. When I heard it, it shocked me too. Nolwenn told them that it wasn't that he loved them so much. It was because he loved himself so little".

Draco just sat there looking at her with his mouth wide open. "Yes, Draco I heard the stories that everyone always said that he was arrogant. He was a spoiled kid and just full of himself. It turns out his life was the opposite and he just hated himself enough to give it all up for others".

"And we all treated him like a spoiled brat we were told he was. Myself and almost all of us never thought he could be any different. There were just five of them who did and we can all see how that has turned out to be" Draco said as he kept his eyes on the fire in front of him.

The girlfriend of Draco held him close as she thought about the one boy and his friends who gave her the future she could only dream of before they had helped them. After a little time, they all got back to their feet and started to walk around the grounds looking for places they could help. They didn't find any place and walked on to the mess hall. When they got there it was empty. Most of the time there would have been a lot of people there. What they did hear was music coming from the big tent that had turned into a market. With big strides, they walked over there and saw Abaforth standing at the side behind a makeshift bar. "What is happening here" Draco asked as he walked next to the bar.

"We are celebrating the punishment that all of the Death Eaters are getting. A lot of our friends here, just like you are cleared and only get little punishments or small jail time. Everyone is ready for their families to come home later tomorrow or the day after. All of our fighters are ready to fight one more fight against the Dark ones if they have to" Abaforth told them.

"Why now and not in two days," Draco said. He wanted to say until we know all about Harry. but at the last moment, he realized they didn't know about him.

Albus who had been sitting at the end of the makeshift bar spoke up. "We all know that somehow we have to wait five days before we know if the Dark one is alive or dead". Draco looked at the real Albus and saw his eye twinkle a little bit. He always wondered how the Albus/Grindelwald did it. And now he knew he had learned it from this Albus. Draco still didn't know that this was a telling sign of him reading the superficial thoughts. "Or Harry for that matter".

Abefort stopped halfway through his poor when he heard the words from his brother.

"We party now so we can be ready in two days and have a little time to blow off steam".

Draco nodded but still had a concerned look as he looked from Albus to Abaforth and then to his girlfriend. "Hou do you know about Harry" Draco asked.

Albus looked at him. "It is not that I know anything about him. I only read your first thoughts. It is not invading your mind but just looking into your eyes. When you are a Ligemans it is natural to read those. So I read you are worried about him, which explains the five-day wait. But I do not know why those five days are needed. So I only said what you thought by reading it".

Draco didn't know what else he could do and started to walk away. His girlfriend was following him slowly and looked sideways at him almost every step he took. She knew Draco had a hard time dealing with the fact Harry had given his life for all of them, and also the way he had been towards him. Just when she wanted to ask him about it Draco stopped. His girlfriend wanted to ask why but he was just pointing at the distance. Both of them looked at the Veela spa and saw Augusta walking with a floating Minerva in front of her. Draco didn't need to know what they wanted from him. He started to walk ahead of them clearing the way if needed. When they got to the Potter castle he opened the door and called for Poppy.

Poppy had been walking around the ward looking at the friends. She had awoken a couple of them. She had tried to wake up all of them, but Daphne and Bella had fallen back to sleep almost a second later. She had waved her wand over them but there was no reaction. Sometimes they opened their eyes a little, smiled at her but closed them right after it. It had taken about a couple of hours to become fully awake but they were still closing their eyes for little naps every twenty minutes or so.

With every scan she did she could not find a single reason why they kept on taking naps every time. One of the Veela healers had stayed with Luna and Tracy at the tend. So she only had the other one left to help her. She too could not find anything wrong with any of them. "I don't get it. They are awake most of the time but they keep on napping. Nothing indicates something is wrong".

The Veela was nodding along but none saw Hermione biting on her lower lip. Neville who had sat down next to her nudged her with his shoulder. "What is wrong he asked".

"I don't know, I have to check it out or ask Lilly and Alice".

"Well go," He told her. "If something is wrong we have to know. We already lost Harry and I'm not ready to lose another one of my friends now that we have won the battle at Hogwarts. We will need them if we have to win the war if one of them is still alive".

Hermione rushed out of the door and straight down the hallway looking for Lily or Alice. She did not know that they were still at the Witangemot chamber. When she got back an hour later Daphne and Bella had fallen asleep again. "I could not find any of them," she said as she walked back into the Infirmary".

"They are still dealing with the Death Eaters and the other scumbags," Susan said from her bed.

"POPPY GET DOWN HERE WE NEED YOU" Draco screamed as he opened the door of Potter castle.

#*

Poppy had just came out of the kitchen. She had been with the friends all day and she needed some food. While she was halfway through her plate she heard screaming. At first, she could not hear it completely but then she heard her name.

"POPPY GET DOWN HERE WE NEED YOU".

Poppy looked up and could hear the voice of Draco calling for her. He was in kind of a panic when he called her so she rushed to the front door. When she got there she saw Minerva floating through the door. "What happened" Poppy screamed. as she started to walk ahead to the Infermary.

"We were done and Minerva just slumped a little. So I asked for snot to take her away. He did but only to the Atrium of the ministry. House elves have a different feeling when they Apparate away. He felt something was wrong with Minerva so he did not take her here. He waited for us to take her ourselves. We did have a healer check her over first but he could not find anything wrong with her".

Poppy nodded as she stepped aside so Augusta could float Minerva passed her and onto her bed. When she looked back at the door she could see Lily walk in and it looked like she was in the same state as the others. So Poppy did not take any chance and placed her in a new bed.

"Poppy I feel fine," Lily told her.

Poppy didn't say a thing and only looked at her. Slowly she lifted her arm held out her hand and pointed her finger to the empty bed.

"POPPY" Lilly started but stopped as Poppy pointed again and started to walk.

It was almost a second later Poppy rushed everybody out of the door. It took her another hour to scan everybody again. After that, she walked back to the others and sat down. Susan, Hermione, and Neville were sitting among the others. "Something is wrong but I do not know what. Everything I do comes back as if nothing is wrong. But I know there is something. So tomorrow none of them will be going to the Witangemot. They will be staying here until I know what is wrong".

Some wanted to say something but knew that if they did, Poppy would go all Goblin on them. So they thought it would be better if they did not. After another drink, they all went to bed to rest enough for another long day at the Witangemot.

The first day had been telling everybody what would be happening in the coming days. It is also the one thing Amelia had done through the wireless. Day two had been dealing with the first people. Their own and the less dangerous. The third day had been dealing with the Death Eaters and the men of Grindelwald. It had been a lot so it took them into day four. The fourth day had been hard because Amelia had seen Susan sitting in the Bones seat. Bogrod was sitting in the McGonnagal seat because Minerva had been kept behind by Poppy. To the relief of all of them, it only took half a day and they all could go back to Potter Castle. At the end of the afternoon and the end of the session, Amelia had asked who had wanted to come with them to fight the dark once if they had to.

Before Amelia went to Potter Castle she went to Longbottom Manor. Susan had gone there because Poppy had ordered her so she had listened to her this time. If Harry had still been with them they would not have listened to her in times like this. But Harry wasn't there so Susan did listen and went back. When Amelia arrived Susan was not with Poppy. "Where is she," Amelia asked.

"She has gone to Potter Castle. Just like Hermione and Neville. She got here and started to say nothing was wrong and she had to take care of the others" Poppy told her. "I do not like it but she sounded like Harry. I think she will be taking over from where Harry has left off. So come tomorrow, do not be surprised if she is the one in front".

Amelia gave her a little smile as she started to walk out of the door. at the door, she stopped. "I do not think she will be the only one. All of them will be rushing onto the Hogwarts grounds before we know the gate is open".

Poppy could only nod at her words. She knew that it would be just like that. If one of the Dark Lords survived they could sweep him together after they were done.

Amelia walked out of the Veela spa. She could have gone straight to the castle but she needed a walk. When she walked into the spa she thought about getting a massage but there was no time. It would still be the first thing she would do when it was all done and taken care of. Slowly she walked on enjoying the cool air. When she got to the first home for the werewolves she saw a big tent. When she got into the tent her eyebrows raised all the way up into her hairline. "What is happening here" she almost screamed.

A Veela healer walked to her. "We are checking everybody who has come back".

"Oh," Amelia started before she looked around. "Is this the first thing that is done".

"No," the Veela started. "People are coming back from the other countries one or two at a time. When they get here they are asked the question. They are placed where they have to and after that we check them. When they are done here they will get a place to sleep tonight or are allowed to go back home. They will also get a Portkey to get back here tomorrow at noon. If the war starts back up, they will be rushed out again".

Amelia took another good look and walked on to the next spot. When she got there she saw David standing with James. " You two here".

Both of them turned around and looked at her. "We wanted to stay but Poppy threw us out" James pouted.

David smiled as did Amelia. From the moment Harry had told him to get back into the Lord's seat at the witenagemot. He wasn't the Lord but he could play the adult game he always wanted. From that moment on, he started to make the jokes the friends used to make to lighten the mood.

"We were in the way," David told her. Poppy did throw us out and told us the kids needed every hand they could get. So we ended up here". Amelia looked around and didn't need to ask what she wanted to know. We have to make the Portkeys to where they are going. No one can apparate away from here so we make Potkeys to places all over England. When they get there they can apparate home. They also have Portkeys to get back to a spot tomorrow where they will get Portkeys to here".

"They aren't getting them home and back here right away".

David shook his head sadly. "I asked the same thing, But Hermione told us that they needed to be trusted. But they just don't trust anybody".

Amelia got a sad look. She hated it when the kids were that way, but she did understand why they had become this way. They had been through a lot and it would take a lot of time for them to feel safe with strangers again. She took another look and started to walk on. The next tent she found was a very big one and had a lot of little tents. As she looked into some of them she could see Goblins standing guard while everyone was questioned. As she looked down the row of little tents she saw lines being formed. One went to Davis and James. While another went towards the Werewolf buildings. She walked over there because she wanted to know why that was. It wasn´t a big line just someone being sent that way bow and then. The line went around the corner as she followed the one person who was sent that way. He was in front of her and rounded the corner. She heard a spell and pulled her wand. This person was attacked and she wanted to know by whom he was attacked. Amelia jumped around the corner and was just in time to duck to the ground as a stunning spell flew over her. She rolled back and looked up at the face of madeye.

"What are you doing less," he asked.

"You one-eyed freak," she screamed. " Why the hell did you attack me"?

"I'm here to put down the people that are silent Death Eaters who were sent overseas to get new persons to join the group," He told had as he smiled down at her.

Amelia put back her wand and just glared at him. She saw Mad-Eye slap a Portkey on the men and he was gone. "Where did he go".

"This one is sent to a special place in the ministry. They will be there before we will question them later next week. Today you will do nothing anymore. Tomorrow we have to see the Dark Lords. When Tomorrow is done we will go on with reforming the world".

Amelia nodded and started to walk back. Mad-Eye was right. Tomorrow could be the last day or the start of the next part of the war. So Amelia went back and passed the little tents. As she went past the last she could hear one of the Goblins tell the woman to go left instead of straight on. She looked over her shoulder and knew it was another person who was on her way to the ministerial cells. She walked out of the big tent and went further passed the line. She was now at the spot they were asked for their name and age. It was placed on a piece of parchment and sent on for questioning. The next was a simple spot where all of them appeared by Portkey. This was the spot they arrived from wherever they had been. She walked on and made her way back to the castle. As she walked in she went straight to the Floo and back to Longbottom Manor.

When she stepped out she looked around herself and saw Arabella walking into the dining room. She followed and saw other members of the Family sitting there. Tonks was at the head of the table with her head in her arms. She snored softly as she breathed in deeply. Andromeda was next to her holding a fresh cup of warm tea in her hands. When she sat down they only looked at her as a house elf gave her a cup of her own. Not a thing was said as other members of the family started to walk in.

Bogrod walked in and looked around. Not all of the family had arrived but the one they needed was here. Bella, Daphne, and Minerva were woken up but still looked like they were sleeping. It was still something Poppy could not find an answer for so she just let them go. They were allowed to sit with them but she was keeping an eye on all of them while she was checking them almost every five minutes. Still, not finding anything wrong with them. Susan was the last of the friends who joined them and when she did Bogrod spoke up. "So how will we be going to do it tomorrow" he asked.

This was it again for this time see you all very soon.
