I've noticed that all my stories are about people getting hurt or dying, so I'm mixing it up a little. Enjoy or don't I can't control you. (note: Sam starts as the main character but will become more of a side character)
It was seven in the morning the soft sound of rain hitting the window was soothing, Sam was laying in bed looking at the ceiling lost in thought.
He remembered the first time he ever layed eyes on her, how beautiful she was. He was fiddling with the good luck charm she gave everyone. The phone ringing made Sam jump, he checked it and saw it was Arnold calling.
" Hello, Arnold . What's up"? Sam asked picking up the phone.
"Hi Sam, I know it's your day off but do you think you could come in, Ellie had to go home early" Arnold explained.
" What's wrong with Ellie"? Sam asked.
" She vomited earlier, so she had to go home" Arnold replied " So can you cover"?
" Sure, I'll be there soon"
"Thanks, Sam"
Sam hung up and got out of his comfy and warm bed, he took a shower, the water ran down his well toned body. After showering he dried his ginger hair. After getting dressed and eating breakfast he brushed his teeth and left for work.
Once arriving at work he was approached by Penny, Sam's heart rate increased as she got closer, her long blonde hair swaying as she walked. All Sam wanted to do was kiss her but he know that it wasn't to be after all Penny wasn't looking for a relationship.
"Hello, Sam" She greeted.
"Hi, Penny" He responded, he greeted her with a hug she responded by hugging him back.
The hug was quick in reality but in Sam's head it was for eternity, her sweet smell echoed through his mind.
" Thanks for coming in, if it wasn't for you, it would have been just myself and Arnold today" Penny stated as they headed inside.
" What about Elvis"? Sam asked .
" Oh, he couldn't make it" Penny replied
"Oh well not a problem, I had nothing better to do" Sam replied. (it means I get to spend time with you)
"Anyway I better catalog the equipment on Jupiter" Penny said as she walked away.

" I better let Arnold know I'm here" Sam stated as he walked in the opposite direction.
He arrived in the office, Arnold was at the tablet, Sam often viewed Both Arnold and Elvis as rivals but he never let it intervene with work.
" As you can see, I have arrived" He stated.
"You don't say" Arnold joked, Sam Chuckled in response.
As Sam signed in he sensed that Arnold was looking at him.
"Yes"? He asked looking.
" Have you told her yet"? Arnold asked
"Told who What"?! Sam asked flustered.
" Have you told Penny that you love her"?
"What?!, I don't.."! Sam responed embarrassed "Don't be daft"!
" Come off it, Sam. It's obvious" Arnold stated " I've seen the way you look at her"
Sam sighed in response, he sat at the computer desk.
" Is it really that obvious"? He asked.
" Yeah, everyone knows" Arnold replied " Well everyone except Penny that is"
"Why hasn't anyone said anything"?! Sam demanded.
"Because we're Minding my own business, we're waiting for you to make the first move"
Sam looked down at the good luck charm.
"That was another clue, we have ours on our keys or phone case whereas you wear it as a bracelet " Arnold explained. "I can see why you like her"
"What do you mean"? Sam asked.
"Well, Penny is smart, kind and generous, not to mention beautiful and she knows what she wants . She's everything you want in a woman, but for some reason you just can't do it"
Sam got up and paced around.
" It's weird, I can enter a burning building, climb a high tree, dive in the ocean, jump out of a helicopter and yet I can't tell Penny that I love her"
"People are brave in different ways"
Sam smiled and He left the room and went downstairs. Penny was just finishing off cataloging she noticed him.
" Hi, Sam" She greeted.
" Hello, so how's it going" He asked.
Penny was just explaining that she finished cataloguing when Ellie entered the building at the same time Arnold came down stairs.
" Go back to bed" Penny ordered.
" I will, I just wanted to talk to Sam and Arnold real quick" Ellie responded
Sam and Arnold followed her outside.
" Soo, have you told her yet"? She asked
" He hasn't" Arnold retorted.
Sam scratched the back of his head in embarrassment.
"That's alright I have a plan" Ellie explained " I'll have a girl to girl chat with Penny while you hide behind the lockers and I'll see if I can get her to admit who she likes"
" I like it" Sam replied
Arnold was against it at first but relented in the end, after agreeing with the plan Ellie headed back home and the two boys went back inside.
