This is a place for me to post ideas for stories that I'll never write. To be clear, the reason these ideas are unwritten is because I am a terrible writer. I feel like I have good and interesting ideas. However, I lack the ability to artistically convey them. If anything I publish here invokes inspiration, please use it as you see fit.

Story concept

Loner and rock/metal fan Danny Fenton didn't grow up in Amity Park and was alone when he gained his ghost powers.

Story inspiration

I was listening to a band named Hollywood Undead, song Ghost Beach. The band was originally started by three members: Duece, Shady Jeff, and J-dog. After gaining a bit of popularity in their friend group, Shady Jeff left due to internal disputes, and Duece was kicked out. It wasn't too long after that a man named Danny joined to replace Duece as the lead singer. While listening, I started to think about what ifs. What if Danny were in a rock band on the show? Would that lead to a Danny Ember romance? Or would it make Danny and Sam romantically involved a lot sooner in the series? Would it have increased his popularity? Would it have influenced his ghost powers?

Story Point

Danny Fenton would use the fact that his parents were focused on ghost hunting and building ghost hunting technology to sneak away from parental supervision. He would met some other friends and form a small band. The band would only perform for small groups at parties and post songs online in the hopes of getting exposure. After being shown the ghost portal that his parents built, he would get the idea of adding real undead souls to his band appeals. Trying to get activated while his parents were out of town, would result in catastrophe when it would activate with him inside it and immediately become unstable, causing a large explosion and ripping a permanent tear in reality in the city. The GIW would deploy, setting up a barrier to keep the flood of ghosts from escaping, and investigating the cause of the incident.

The GIW would discover the Fentons' experiments and enforce restrictions on them, banning them from working on technology. The Fentons would be forced to move to a new town, and the GIW would closely monitor them. Danny arrives at his new school, and quickly makes an enemy with the popular crowd. Unlike in the show, Danny is more confident and pushes back against them. Dash and Danny would get into a fight, which would quickly be stopped by Mr. Lancer. Dash and Danny would both be hurt from the fight, with minor black eyes, busted lips, etc.

After getting home from school Danny would discover the GIW at his new house. Entering he discovers that his father attempted to build something, and the GIW arrived to confiscate it and reiterate how serious the ban against them is. Later that night Danny would over hear a fight between his parents and decide to sneak out. He flies through the city, looking for anything to do, when he stumbles across a warehouse rave. Entering he joins the small group of rockers and notices Sam Manson in the crowd. He recognizes her from the popular crowd at school even though now she is dressed up in her goth girl attire. Their conversation is unfortunately cut short due to the appearance of the Box Ghost, the first of many ghosts to escape from the GIW's barrier around the portal.

Danny is able to repel the box ghost and send him packing, however without Fenton technology at his disposal he isn't able to capture him. Danny returns home, only to get in trouble for sneaking out. He shouts at his parents that he only wanted to get away from the yelling and locks himself in his room. At this point the story begins to follow the general path of the show, ghosts show up and Danny has to get stronger or smarter to fight them back. His parents fight occasionally and he always blames himself, because ultimately he was the one to cause the explosion. He discovers that the band he started back in his homecity was taking off and getting popularity, and he gets jealous as he can no longer be apart of them. Eventually others will discover his secret, sometimes allying themselves with the Phantom, other times becoming his enemy or trying to expose him.
