Arisugawa's Locket

Halloween 2014

FWOOOSH!

The fire extinguisher made a satisfying sound as Nabiki Tendo calmly hosed down the burning corner table with chemical foam. Several customers had scattered, though Yomiko Readman had stayed to use her powers to make a firebreak in front of the library, just in case.

"All right, that appears to have done it," Nabiki swept the chemical foam over the smouldering table a few times to be sure.

"Nicely done," May complimented her, the cyberdoll helping keep back the customers along with her lover Keiko.

"Thank you," Nabiki said. She scowled at the group of young women as she demanded, "What the hell happened?"

"I'm terribly sorry," the black haired, almost pixie-ish girl bowed, her one eye covered with a white medical eye patch.

"Rikka, it wasn't your fault!" the girl with long brown ponytails tried defending her bravely despite kinda hiding behind the taller girl.

"Sanae-san," the taller girl sighed, "who's fault WAS it then?"

Sanae glared up at Shinka as she said, "The dark forces, of course!"

"A-hem," Nabiki cleared her throat. "A explanation, please?"

Rikka looked very sheepish. "We brought a Ouija board with us to tonight's event, in hopes of reaching the Other Side," she explained.

Nabiki could practically hear the capital letters. "Uh huh," she nodded.

"Well, we weren't having much luck, so I thought lighting a few candles might spur something," Sanae said sheepishly.

"And these idiots jerked the planchette, the wooden piece meant to show what the spirits are saying, and knocked the candles right over into the complementary napkins," Shinka sighed.

"And they went fwoosh," Rikka gestured wildly.

"It was dark forces," Sanae said stubbornly.

Nabiki sighed. "Well, whatever, at least the fire is out and no serious harm was done. Is everyone all right?"

"Yes ma'am," Shinka nodded.

"And we're not going to kick you out," Nabiki headed off the obvious question, "but NO MORE FIRES." She scowled at them, "Got it?"

All three chorused meekly, "Got it."

With that Nabiki strode off, even as May moved the kids to a new table and Excel and Hyatt began to clean up the mess. "Sorry for the trouble," Shinka added to one of the maid clad workers.

"Eh, this isn't the weirdest thing that's happened just this week," Excel noted cheerfully.

All three girls timidly took over another table. "Should we try tarot cards next?" Rikka suggested mildly.

"NO," both girls growled.

"Meanies," Rikka pouted.

Up at the bar, Juri Arisugawa was on the phone with her repair team. "Probably gonna need a new table and set. Uh huh. Chair was singed too. Thanks, tomorrow would be great. See you then," she smiled as she hung up, this Halloween dressed in a stylish tuxedo.

"You could probably let Nabiki handle that," Ryouko noted, the alien woman pouring a customer a drink as she talked to Juri. She was in a yukata, this year, though one altered to be easy to move in. Or fight, as the case may be.

"I like to keep my hand in," Juri shrugged. "I don't want to be thought of as a absentee owner or something," she added.

"Or you're too anal retentive to relinquish control," Minagi teased from her spot at the bar, her samurai armor clanking a bit.

"That too," Juri agreed willingly.

"Juri, good to see you," Rias Gremory smiled, the bosomy redhead and demoness wearing what amounted to a napkin and some strings.

Juri nearly choked at seeing that much exposed flesh under a tiny swimsuit, but managed to restrain herself. "Isn't that a BIT much?" she managed.

"Have you seen Akeno's outfit?" Rias asked impishly.

Juri craned her head and realized that Akeno wasn't even wearing a swimsuit... just body paint and sparkles.

Before Juri could ask Akeno shrugged, "I lost a bet."

"Ah," Juri said.

"This is SO embarrassing," Asia sighed, the little blonde dressed as a bunny girl.

Koneko just shrugged, the silver haired girl a cat-girl. As usual.

"Anyway, I promise we won't do any soul hunting tonight. Today is one of our holidays, after all," Rias waved as they plunged into a eagerly watching crowd.

"Do you trust her?" Nabiki asked as she joined them, her own outfit a kind of fantasy knight look. With sword banging against her leg, annoyingly.

"Not entirely, but Asia's a good kid. And I have people watching them," Juri said as she shrugged eloquently. Thoughtfully she added, "And she really hasn't done anything, despite her bad reputation."

"I guess that's fair," Nabiki agreed willingly. "There was a minor fire near the library, it's been handled," she reported.

"Not the craziest thing to happen on Halloween," Juri noted.

"That would be the portal to hell those sorceresses opened last year," Ryouko noted wryly. "Really livened up the party though," she added.

Everyone kind of looked at her. "We were lucky Sailor Moon, Utena and the rest were here," Nabiki said dryly.

"Ah, we coulda handled it," Minagi drawled.

Juri rolled her eyes.

"Nabiki!" a cheery voice called as a black haired girl hurried up, dressed in a ill fitting school uniform.

"Nina?" Nabiki blinked at her girlfriend.

"It's a BIT much," Nina admitted as she pulled down the skirt that barely covered her ass. "I filled out quite a bit since I wore this."

She was also nearly bursting out of the top, too. "You look really good," Nabiki noted with a smile.

"Perv," Nina laughed. "Can you take a break and keep me company for a bit?" she asked.

Nabiki looked at Juri who grinned. "I better let you take a break before someone runs away with Nina," she laughed. "Have fun."

"Thanks," Nabiki grinned as she and Nina hurried off.

"I've been a bad bad girl," a woman sang, "I've been careless with a delicate girl."

"Isn't that supposed to be boy?" a redhead in the crowd noted.

The singer ignored that, singing on, "And it's a sad, sad world, when a girl will break a girl just because she can.

Don't you tell me to deny it. I done wrong and I wanna suffer for my sins. I've come to you because I need guidance to be true and I just don't know where I can begin...

What I need is a good defence, cause I'm feelin' like a criminal."

"Wonder what she did?"a attractive blond in t-shirt and shorts asked, wearing a half-mask to get into the Halloween spirit.

"Not everyone who does kareoke is singing their sins, Ayame," the cool, black haired girl noted, wearing her school uniform. Everyone had pretty much accepted it as a costume, or else they weren't going to ask the intense looking young woman.

Ayame Shaga made a face, "I probably would, Ume-sama."

"You don't need to add the -sama," Ume Shiraume grimaced. "And PLEASE do not use it in front of Hana."

"Don't want to wreck your reputation in front of your cute, not so innocent girlfriend?" Ayame drawled kind of sexily.

"Does someone want a spanking?" Ume asked flatly.

"Ooh, please!" Ayame wiggled in her seat.

Ume rolled her eyes. When Ayame had gotten fresh with her girlfriend, Hana, Ume had dominated Ayame in a punishment. It had, interestingly, backfired in that it awakened a oddly submissive streak in Ayame, and so far Ume hadn't managed to scare her off.

"This is a bad idea, you know," Ume noted as she slipped a foot out of her shoe and ran it up Ayame's leg.

"Eeep," Ayame blushed. "You are EVIL."

"And that surprises you?" Ume said, teasing her toes across her crotch.

"If you keep that up, we'll need to get a room," Ayame said breathlessly.

"Better stop then," Ume pulled her foot back.

"Evil woman," Ayame whimpered.
