Chapter 122

"The truth is," the very drunk sorceress said, "I really like Ren!"

"Yeah!" the Fallen agreed.

Celestine continued, "She's so CUTE! And the cat ears are adorable!" She pouted, "I want to take her home with me!"

"Hmm, hmm!" the other woman nodded.

"Refills?" the cute waitress asked. Excel was wearing a naughty nurse outfit, apparently picked out randomly.

"Yes, please," Celestine agreed.

"Me, too," Edelgard held out the huge beer mug she was using.

"I'll be back with the food," Excel added.

"I feel this too," Edelgard said in her awkward way. "Like Alicia Crystela."

"Hmm," Celestine nodded encouragingly.

"She beautiful. Loyal," Edelgard mused. "Loves Fallen, hates humans."

"Well, that's a thing...," Celestine muttered.

"Alicia saved me. When didn't have to," Edelgard added thoughtfully. "Been better off if just left me..."

As Edelgard began to cry in her beer, Celestine awkwardly patted her on the shoulder.

Up by the bar, a heated conversation was going on...

"When did YOU get back?" May demanded of Excel.

"Uhm, today?" Excel smiled cheerfully.

May sighed. "Where were you?" she tried asking.

"Places?" Hyatt offered.

May facepalmed. She REALLY wanted to lecture the two of them for disappearing so long... but they really needed the staff. As always.

"Sorry," Excel added.

With a sigh May said, "Okay, you two are back on the schedule."

"Hurrah!" Excvel and Hyatt both cheered.

"If you disappear on us again, at least tell Juri! You scared the hell out of her," May added as they hurried off.

"Riiiight," both said as they hurried off.

"I thought you were going to fire them if they came back?" Nabiki Tendo teased.

May made a face, "I couldn't do it..."

"Well, Juri will probably scold them," Nabiki mused.

"Oooh, the Locket! We haven't been here in awhile," Harley Quinn said cheerfully.

"Let's get a room upstairs later," Poison Ivy purred.

"WHY did you drag me along?" Catwoman asked.

"Don't tell me you haven't tasted pussy," Harley teased.

"Oh, cat puns? REALLY?" Catwoman rolled her eyes.

"Ladies," Amelia smiled, wearing jeans, man's flannel shirt, cowboy hat and, amusingly, a frilly apron.

"Ooooh," Catwoman muttered.

Amelia was used to that. "Would you like a table, or...?" she asked politely.

"Table," Ivy decided, and the others nodded.

Amelia lead them over, took their drink orders then headed up to the bar. A few minutes later and she came back with the first round of drinks.

"Thank you," Harley beamed.

"You're welcome," Amelia said. She looked at Catwoman, "Hands off, please."

Catwoman pretended to look innocent. "Are you doing anything after work?" she asked.

"Not with you," Amelia grinned then sauntered off.

"Oooh, burn," Harley teased.

"I thought you and Batsy were serious this time?" Ivy asked.

Catwoman shrugged, "What he doesn't know won't hurt him."

"Riiiight," Ivy said. Somehow, she didn't think Batman and Catwoman were going to make it this time, too...

May blinked as a group of very annoyed looking Sailor Plutos (Sailor Plutii? How did you plural that?) stalked by, heading for the bar.

"What?" May wondered aloud.

"They teamed up to chase a reality distrupting Sailor Venus," the alternate Juri Arisugawa noted. She was wearing a fancy version of a Duelist Uniform, and Anthy of all people was holding her arm and cuddling close.

"Ah," May blinked, then decided she didn't want to know.

"Could I get my order, then?" the other Juri asked.

"Of course," May nodded.

"ARISUGAWA!" an angry woman's voice yelled.

"Oh god not again." Juri muttered.

Nanami Kiryuu charged up, scowling, "I would duel with you!"

"Not here," May noted calmly. Forcefully she added, "Please sit down and be quiet."

Nanami was so startled by the sudden scolding that she did sit down. "Sorry," she said a little sheepishly.

"Could we PLEASE get a drink?" Juri sighed.

"Coming right up," May headed off.

"I still want to duel you," Nanami added more reasonably. She paused, "And WHY does this night club have your name on it?"

Juri shrugged, "Damn it I know." She paused, "I DO have a lesbian aunt..."

Athy though about telling her beloved Juri it was a alternate version of HER, but... it was more entertaining watching them mess about.

"Here's your order," May returned.

"Thanks," Juri smiled as they sat down to eat.

Alpha smoothly collected the plates and mugs, then hauled them into the kitchen. "We REALLY need busboys. Or girls. Whichever," she noted mildly.

Sasami and Shampoo were both making food as Sasami answered, "Agreed. It's hard to keep staff though."

"True," Alpha sighed. "I see Hyatt and Excel are back, there's that."

"Here. Order for crazy lady in lab coat," Shampoo said. "Table five."

Rica Sanchez waved, her hair fooled up like it had been in a wind storm, and her eyes moderately bloodshot. "Hey, Alpha!" the mad scientist said.

"No Mary?" Alpha noted her sidekick was absent.

"She's got finals," Rica handwaved that. She took a drink of her beer and asked, "You know Washu, right?"

"Sort of," Alpha frowned slightly, "other staff know her pretty well. Why?"

"I got news, but I can't tell her directly. She's pissed at me," Rica admitted.

"Hmm," Alpha prompted her.

"The Council of Ricks and their Citadel are gone," Rica said, "and in the process they tore a hole in reality leading to the greater omniverse."

"We ran into the Council once," Alpha blinked, "they sent an army of female mercs in to steal Washu's time-space engine."

"Sounds like something they'd try," Rica agreed. "Anyway, the rift closed on it's own, but space-time is probably weaker than normal there, now. Someone should probably look into it."

"What's the risk?" Alpha had to ask.

"Well, we Ricks mostly travel in a limited group of 'local' universes," Rica explained. "The 'farther' out you go, the less like your home universe it becomes. And this hole is WAY beyond where we go... could be anything out there, good or bad."

"All right, I'll pass it on to Washu," Alpha promised.

"After all that talk, I need another drink," Rica sighed.

Notes: Based on season one of How Not To Summon A Demon Lord. I need to see season two... It just struck me as funny that Celestine might secretly be lusting for Rem.

Despite Batman writer Tom King saying Catwoman is TRUE WUV for Bruce, she's canonly had girlfriends. So, yeah.

Was thinking the season finale of Rick and Morty might be concerning for dimension travellers like the cast, Tenchi Muyo, etc etc.
