Candyman

Diamonds are a girl's best friend, or is that Candy?

The project was to complete a music video that had several stories running through it, all of which those chosen for each part could have assumed was their own life story, but that was because they'd all been specifically picked because of their history to interpret the author's work.

Quinn

Quinn Fabray was young, free, and single, of course everyone who knew her knew that she was determined to stay that way for the foreseeable, but she was just the most dick teasing bitch any man would ever want to meet, and truth be known, men loved her for it, while women envied her. She was portrait beautiful and from a high flying family, her parents were well known in circles that mattered, so of course, Quinn's decision to go into acting, like most of her life choices, had ruffled a few feathers, not that she cared, but her parents were hell bent in cutting her off at every try, so she'd secretly delved into this project because the subject wasn't something they knew about her life.

Her character, a fictional cameo of the authors life, transforms from being the pleasing woman who's only desire was to give her man the baby he was so desperate to have, assuming that would save their relationship, her reality being it hadn't, in fact it had broken it, leaving her with the memory of a nameless child who'd become another victim of the system, and her a lifelong inability to trust or commit.

"We're almost ready for you Q" Artie's head popped round the door startling her

"Thanks Art" she smiled at her quirky, reliable, friend come agent "How do I look?"

"Like a hot wife, ready to please her husband" he snapped laughing rolling his eyes are her being the exact opposite

"That's the look I was going for" she laughed getting up to brush herself down "Let's go rock this look" she walked past him kissing his cheek

"One of these days I'm going to shock you" he smiled

"Please" she looked at him cheekily

"Get to work" he laughed watching her walk down the hall, there was always fun to be had when Quinn was on a set

"Mm" she looked at the man pushing the cart coming towards her "Looks yummy" she made sure he was looking at her

"Fancy anything?" he asked looking at his wares

"God yes" she stopped in front of him "Tall, Blond, eyes to die for, got anything like that in there?" she looked down at the cart

"Maybe…" he checked his cart "A milky bar"

"You want to share milk?" she giggled flirtatiously

"I don't drink or eat milk" he frowned

"Too bad" she leaned her head in disappointment "I have so much of that stuff to give"

"Okay" he smiled uncomfortably "Do you want anything in the cart?"

"I guess I don't" she looked into his eyes "Sorry I didn't get your name"

"I didn't give it"

"Maybe by the end of the day you'll feel comfortable enough to give it to me, Candyman" she smiled, grabbing a bounty, and stepping out the way for him to get past her

"Thank you" he pushed the cart to carry on with his business

Santana

There were no flies on Santana Lopez, she wasn't happy unless she was in somebody's business, doing something she wasn't supposed to be, and the only people that knew that about her, were the ones that had caught her out. She was from what everyone always calls the wrong side of the river and for her it depended on where she was as to which river that was. She'd done things a girls shouldn't have to do to see herself through college, and she was dammed if some privileged rich bitch was going to steal her thunder. That was her attitude towards everything, she had to prove at every turn that she deserved to be there, it was hard work, and somewhere along that road she'd lost her true self.

Her character, a fictional cameo of the authors life, was a gullible young girl, that believed everything her first love told her, so much so she left her family to be with him, only to find out that he was an abusive liar. It was an easy part for her to portray, she'd been there, done that and felt the pain, so what the producer thought was acting was real, that bastard was standing in front of her in that moment, and the final decision gave her great pleasure

The author had found themselves in this situation in their younger life, this particular event had left it's scars and lessons, they'd stood at the gates of death on occasion and still no thoughts of moving on, there was nowhere to move on to, they'd given everything of themselves and got nothing in return except trauma and therapy bills.

"Everyone's been instructed to stay out of block A" the security guard laughed at her trying to get past him for the fourth time today

"You take the job too damn serious Puck, lighten the fuck up" she turned to shout at him

"You need to mind your business" he laughed "And watch…" he was too late she'd bumped into the guy putting candy bars into the machine

"Shit" she turned to see the whole box of goodies on the floor "I'm so sorry" she bent down to help pick them up

"It's fine" the guy waved her off

"It was my …fault" she looked up into his eyes mesmerised "God your eyes are fucking gorgeous" she smiled "Do you keep them open when you…?"

"When I what?" he stopped picking stuff up to ask

"Sorry" she grinned nervously "I can't believe that jumped out of my mind and fell on your ears" she laughed "Sorry" she covered her mouth "I just pictured your ears between my legs… oh fuck" she rolled her eyes "Sorry"

"You said that a few times"

"Here we are on the floor, you even know my favourite sex position and I know nothing about you, what's your name?"

"Candyman" he smiled at the other woman just naming him that

"I bet you are"

"Thank you" he stood up with the last few bars of chocolate in his hand, handing her a Twix bar

"Thanks, I have other quickies up my sleeve, whenever you're ready" she told him watching him load more sweets into the machine before walking away with the half full cart

"Santana by the way" she called after him "Just in case you're thinking about me later" she was deflated at the fact that he didn't turn to look at her

Brittany

If Brittany S Pierce ever needed to describe herself in three words, have no doubt they would be talented, flexible and fuckable in that order, she was sex on legs, and legs that could move, to watch there was nothing sexier than that girl sending your imagination to places it had no place being. To the untamed eye Brittany came across as rather dipsy, maybe even uneducated, blond, maybe even scatter brain, which was so deceiving it was sacrilege, the look wasn't accidental it had been forged for purpose and did her very well. Her parents lived in a mobile home, that could have been mistaken for a classical trailer trash residence, but she was a privileged child, that didn't want an inch of it, unless it was attached to a man

Her character, a fictional cameo of the authors life, was a ballerina, a cameo of the authors life, who'd fallen in love with her dance teacher and was at a point in her life when she thought she loved him more than she actually loved ballet, and for a while she struggled with whether to go with her dream or her heart. So, there would be a fantasy dance, kiss, and even a glimpse of how she thinks their life could have been. Brittany's story wasn't much different, except her love wasn't her teacher, he was her dance partner, the one that got away, the challenge she was waiting on the side-lines for even now.

"Can we just get on with this scene, you wouldn't believe how much work I've put on hold for this" she looked at Will frustrated

"Sorry Britt we're waiting for your dance partner" Will looked around frustrated

"Shouldn't this be the other way around?" she snapped at him

"I guess it's the price you pay for good dancers, he'll be here in a…"

"Hey, you" Brittany called to the guy walking past "Put that down and come here" she ordered the man pushing the cart

"Britt" Will called, stopping when the guy waved for him to stop

"It's okay" he told Will walking towards her

"You don't look like you'd drop me" she grabbed hold of his bicep "What's your name?"

"Candyman" he smiled

"I'm sure that's not the name your parents gave you, but we'll get back to that" she turned him to face her "You have beautiful eyes" she smiled cheekily

"Thank you" he smiled

"I'm sure you're supposed to give a compliment back" she laughed

"You're bossy" he grinned

"Not quite what I was hoping for" she shrugged her shoulders "Just stand there" she placed him in his spot rubbing her hands down his arms "I'm going to do a couple of spins into your arms and then the big finale when you lift me up and slide me down your body" she smiled "I know, you're welcome" she giggled "Oh" she got closer to him "And no boners"

"Understood" he looked at her puzzled

"The script says I'm obsessed, but from the look in your eyes…" she raised her eyebrows at him "You're the obsessed one, you want me don't you?"

"I don't think…"

"I know, just keep that between us" she giggled "I have a reputation of doing that to men."

"Okay" he raised an eyebrow back at her, she wasn't as much dizzy as she was presumptuous

"Just be there to catch me when I go into the jump" she warned "I just need someone to lean into" she moved him into position "Do you know what a jump is?" she squeezed his arms again "I guess you could cope with my legs round your neck" she looked into his eyes teasingly

"You sure you don't want to wait for Mike?" Will asked uncomfortably

"This is happening" Brittany told him "It is, isn't it?" she asked Candyman "I mean I could give in to a man like you"

"From the top" Will shouted watching everyone get into position "Sorry" he mouthed at his friend, who for whatever reason, wanted to be known as Candyman today

Everyone stood around watching Brittany perform, grabbing hold of Candyman when she needed to and eventually falling into his arms ready for the lift, surprised when he actually lifted her and let her slide down his chest "There's a kiss that follows that move" she looked into his eyes waiting

"I guess that's where I come in" Mike's voice spoiled the scene

"About time" Brittany looked at him, he looked as eatable as she'd remembered him "We get four hours"

"Hi Britt" he smiled at her "I need one, I'm that good" he nodded at Will

"I bet you are" Brittany raised her eyebrow at him

"Five minute warm up and I'm ready" he told Will

"Five minutes" Will told everyone

"Saved by the Mike" Brittany told Candyman

"Miss Pierce" Candyman nodded

"Sounds sexy when you say that" she giggled "Imagine you screaming it while I get you off"

"Let's not" he shook his head and walked off

Rachel

Rachel Berry was the girl with a drug problem, the consequence of a turbulent childhood, she was in denial of course, the whole addiction thing was something that her publicist had disclosed just before her biggest modelling job went south, rehab sounded better than getting sacked. After that her reputation went before her, finding work had been hard, so when this came along she snapped it up.

Her character, a fictional cameo of the authors life, was a hard put on daughter, her mother had passed when she was a child, so she'd learned to be the woman in the house, at an early age. Her father had turned to drink and loose women for solace, and although restricted she tried her best to live her life, his heart attack and imminent death led her to re-evaluate who she was and what was actually important to her

"Get me some chocolate please" Rachel looked up at Finn watching her through her mirror

"I was thinking of going for a smoke"

"Just find someone, anyone I just need some chocolate" she huffed "You promised to look after me"

"I did, and I will" he rubbed her shoulders

They'd been friends since forever, Finn had stuck to her since kindergarten, she'd periodically come out of her funk for him, and right now he was yet again trying to keep her on the straight and narrow

"Chocolate" she smiled at him touching his hand that was resting on her shoulder

"Coming up" he left the changing room to go find some chocolate

"Hi" Candyman knocked on her changing room door a few minutes later "Chocolate order" he called

"Come on in" she turned to see who it was "Handsome stranger" she smiled "And you are?"

"Candyman" he held a small box of goodies up

"Candy for sure" she grinned "Are you single?"

"Are you?"

"Very" she smiled "And walls, contrary to public belief, don't have ears" she looked around the dull room "No one has to know"

"I would" he told her

"And that would be a bad thing because?"

"Because I'd know" he laughed

"What chocolates do you have?" she looked at the box in his hand, this guy didn't seem like he wanted to play

"Take your pick" he stepped closer to her

"Are you included?"

"No" he smiled "I'm afraid not"

"Shame" she smiled at him taking a snicker out the box "Just what the doctor ordered" she flashed her eyelashes at him

"Everything alright?" Finn walked back into the room asking

"Chocolate delivered" Candyman told him before turning to walk out the door

"You hit on him didn't you?" Finn asked Rachel

"He was so cute; it was an insult not to"

Tina

"Hi" Tina smiled at seeing her friend walking towards her "How is she?"

"Fine" he smiled hugging her

"And you?"

"I'm good" he smiled at the guy standing next to her

"This is Kurt a new friend" she smiled at him before looking back at Kurt

"Heard a lot about you, really nice to finally meet you" Kurt held his hand out for shaking

"Nice to meet you" he looked at the guy puzzled, he didn't even look like Tina's type

"How are the costumes going?" Tina asked

"You made them; I don't think they're negotiable to be honest"

"But did you think I got them right?"

"Perfect" he smiled hugging her again

Tina had done design in college, if nobody else ever told her she was brilliant her group of friends did, and the proof was in the pudding when she started getting contracts with them as they came into their own. Today she was a well sort after brand of her own, business coming out of her ears, with outlets in London, Paris and New York and plans to reach further.

"What's she got you doing?" she looked at the cart he'd left a short distance behind him when he'd seen her coming "Don't answer that" she held her hand up at him

"We'll catch up after this I'm sure"

"We better, I didn't just fly all the way from London to say hello through a door, I want to see a music video"

"You will" he laughed

"I'm surprised you two aren't joined at the hip" She laughed

"She's experimenting" he laughed "I'll see you guys in a bit, go check wardrobe" he looked at Kurt "And really great to meet you too Kurt" he shook his hand again and grabbed the cart to carry on with his task

Mercedes

Mercedes Jones was the girl with the big dreams, she was born and raised in the ghetto, and most of the time proud of it, she'd watched battles lost and won, had friends kill or be killed, and even had a few scrapes herself. After her father died suddenly, her mother had been the ambitious one for her and her sister, they'd be sitting around a table eating bread soaked in milk for breakfast listening to their mom's big dreams for them, in those days all Mercedes could dream about, was getting home alive and having food on the table.

She didn't know if it was her talent or the blood money her family lived off that got her that spot in NYADA but when she got there she did her best to prove to everyone that she deserved to be there and reaped the benefits when she was nabbed for a musical. That platform sort of set the stage for her to get on the map and within two years she was signing a recording contract in New York.

Things had quickly gone south on that when she realised what they expected her to do for them wasn't just about the music, out of her depth she called her cousins to come help her out. That ended with two major things happening for her, the business started to see her for her talent, and the contract she'd worked so hard to get was torn up, and she was out on a limb again.

She could only call it fate when she walked into a newly opened studio, and met up with Blaine Anderson, who was just starting out, not really sure where he wanted to go with his new venture, but on that first day she had something to sing about, and he wanted to listen. That was nearly seven years ago, and although many producers had tried to split them up she was loyal to him.

She'd turned up at Blaine's 30th birthday party, it wasn't her usual thing, they were like chalk and cheese socially, but because it was a landmark birthday she promised to show her face. That was the night she met Sam, this boy went against everything she'd ever dreamed of for herself, he was white, into country music, told silly jokes, drank like a fish, used drugs she was used to seeing sold, and was constantly surrounded by women, he just wasn't for her.

There was no corny chat up lines, no snide remarks, just good old fashioned conversation, and within a week they knew things about each other they'd never told another living soul. Mercedes cried in his arms as she told him about her recently passed mother, Sam revealed the story of his missing mother, his bad experiences with her that had left him with issues around commitment, hence his behaviour with women. They talked about their experiences with love, forbidden and unreal both confessing things they went proud of, it was Sam's turn to cry when he told her about the pregnancy scare he'd had with a girl he barely knew, and couldn't even remember sleeping with, he'd been that wasted, which had been a wake-up call for him.

Initially they both felt it was the wrong time for them to meet, they had so much going on in their lives, but when they yearned to see each other they realised they were a perfect fit, and their relationship started. Eventually they wrote a song together which was their way of moving past their history, and coming to the realisation that they needed a place to leave the past in order for them to have a future, and now they were doing a music video in honour of that

"Hey" she smiled at him popping his head round the door

"Hey" he smiled "Crazy or what?"

"I know" she giggled "Can you believe we're actually doing this"

"A freaking music video of our lives" he gasped

"We did it babe" she let out a breath

"End of our old life, finally"

"Start of our new life" she smiled

"Tina's here" he locked the door and walked across the room "She didn't say but I'm sure she's gone to introduce this Kurt friend of hers to Blaine" he laughed leaning in to kiss her

"I know she has, we both agreed it was time that man found someone real, she thinks this Kurt guy might be it"

"Will you two ever leave that man alone?" he laughed

"When he's happy" she looked at him through her mirror

"Get rid of the urge?"

"Not really" she turned to look at him "I thought it would be easy, but it wasn't"

"So" he laughed "You need me to do my thing?" he wiggled his eyebrows at her

"I'm saying I'm not doing well at weening myself off you"

"Listen" he sat on the dresser to look at her "I'm going to Canada for three months not three years, we'll be fine"

"I know all that" she moaned grabbing his hand "But I wish someone would tell my body"

"My body?" he smiled pulling her up to stand in front of him "You used our words" he laughed

"Babe" she giggled

"What?" he laughed "You mentioned my body" he turned them so that she was leaning on the dresser

"The video" she giggled wrapping her arms round his neck

"I think we just agreed plan B didn't work, so it's back to plan A" he kissed her lips lightly, lifting her to sit on the dresser, and pulling her butt off the dresser for easy access

"Babe" she gasped closing her eyes to take in his kisses

"Actually, my names been changed" he looked at her smiling "I'm the Candyman"

"The Candyman" she laughed pushing him away

"You wouldn't believe how many offers I've had just being out there for a few hours" he stepped back to her

"Offers?" she grabbed his T-shirt

"Offers" he confirmed "And I knocked them all back because I'm saving this candy for you"

"You better be" she pulled him closer, kissed his lips, and wrapped her legs around his waist, the sex was quick and rough, it always was just before a performance, they finally let each other go, smiling as their swollen lips grabbed for each other one last time "You know you drive me crazy"

"Love you too" he slapped her thighs, sorted himself out and made for the door "Get cleaned up, you've got a video to watch"

"I'm sure that's what I was saying before…"

"Oh" he turned when he reached the door, taking something out his pocket and throwing it to her "I saved that for you" he smiled at the Cadbury's dairy milk bar "Sexy chocolate"

"Very" she smiled "Thanks babe" she looked at him "I mean Candyman" she giggled

"That name feels like it's going to stick"

"If it's anything like me, it will" she smiled "Don't be too long, they're due to call us"

"I won't" she sat watching him walk back over to her for another kiss, taking a bite of her chocolate before he left

The Video Screening

"Mercedes" Blaine's head popped round the door "We're ready with the rough cut"

"How did the other bits go?"

"They were good" he smiled "You were right, Will was the right man for the job"

"I'm always right" she smiled fixing her hair one more time before she got up to join him "Let's do this" she grabbed his waiting hand "Where's Sam?"

"Outside stressing about how this will all pan out; you know how he is" Blaine laughed

"Will you go tell him I need him?"

"Sure" he let her go and went off to find him

"Settle down everyone" Will stood on the stage in front of the screen shouting across the small theatre "Great work today everyone, thank you all so much for bringing the dream off paper and onto screen" he clapped smiling at everyone else joining in "Mercedes" he smiled at her walking in "Mercedes Jones everyone" they all got up in appreciation of her

"Will" she smiled walking across the stage to hug him "Thank you" she kissed his cheek "And thank you all" she turned to the crowd "This is an accumulation of five people coming together and building a dream out of a few nightmares" she smiled at Tina "Tina Cohen Chang provided all the beautiful costumes" she waited for her to be acknowledged "Of course the wonderful Blaine Anderson helped us with the vision" she waited again "The brilliant Sam Evans, love of my life, and I came up with the music and lyrics" she held her hand out for him to get to her "I hear he's been rebranded today" she giggled "Come on Candyman" she grinned at him walking towards her

"Knew he was too good to be true" Brittany hissed

"Tell me about it" Quinn smiled

"You too?" Rachel smiled at the women

"Definitely Candyman" Santana sat back in her chair

"And of course, the man who's pulled it all together for us today Will Schuester" Mercy grabbed Sam's hand "So without further ado" she pointed to the screen and walked off to find her seat as their song played and the screen told sections of their life story.

Mercedes with Sam: Hey love, your touch is like a drug, and I'm so far gone that I can't sleep at night, without you by my side
Hey now, now, now love, it's hard for me to open up, until now cause I've found, that all my walls come down, whenever you're around,

My heart was lost, now found, I think you should hang around

Cause oh-oh, baby you know that you're driving me, ahh oh, hey yeah
Oh, baby you know that you're driving me,
up down, round and round, driving me, driving me, driving me
Crazy, crazy, crazy, driving me, driving me, driving me crazy
'Crazy' by Jhay C & Elaine Faye

"This is so good" Sam turned to Mercedes smiling

"Your vision, our voices, perfect combination" she grinned "Candyman" she closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead, of course it was going to be a success
