Only 7 Days Left, Until The Big Day...

The sun was shining on a beautiful new day today. Cricket got up from his bed and takes his time to stretch his arms and legs before standing up, with his day off starting with him looking at his phone to see if his friends need his help.

He actually received one, which is from Penny.

Hey Cricket! I have found a way for you to help you get ready! Me and Mike right now are in my grandpa's laboratory, but I think it would be perfect for something once you arrive! Of course, Mike will give you encouragement, but for me, I thought of the best one yet! Come over and see us in the laboratory!

Cricket knew what they have in store for him, as he picked up his violin case, and replied back.

Alright! I'll be there to entertain you!

With his violin case on his side, he makes his way to Dr. Crygor's lab, where Penny and Mike are in.

BGM: Innocent Times (From "Kingdom Hearts: Brith by Sleep")

As Cricket entered Crygor's lab, he is immediately greeted by Penny, who is very eager to see him arrive.

"Finally! I've been waiting so long for you to come by!" Penny jumped for joy, while holding Cricket's hand. "Heh, yeah, I suppose." Cricket smiled.

"Let's not get too overexcited about one coming in. We got other things to work on." Mike stated. "Oh yeah, I forgot! Come on in Cricket!" Penny commanded, with Cricket entering Crygor's lab with Penny's order.

"I would first like to start off with some words of encouragement from our robot friend! Mike, do you have any?" Penny asked Mike.

"I do. Cricket, I know that you're gonna be great on stage in the festival, and you have a lot of talent in you. Ever since your practice session impressed all of us, you'll be amazing in the festival. I believe in you~!" Mike encouraged Cricket, with the latter smiling about it.

"Thanks for those words Mike!" Penny thanked Mike. "And now it's time for my way of getting you ready for the festival! Come with me to my lab!" Penny followed Mike and Cricket, out to Crygor's lab to Penny's Lab.

Cricket and Mike have arrived in Penny's Lab, where Penny starts sharing out her way of helping Cricket for the festival.

"Alright Cricket, if you want to show yourself more emotion on your violin, let your voice show emotion with some karaoke!" Penny explained.

"Well, how does singing help you in your life Penny?" Cricket questioned.

"Good question! Well, here's your answer! I let my voice show more emotion through singing, because it helps me improve on my singing voice more often so I can become a pop star one day! Even though my singing could get off key, heheheh..." Penny answered, laughing sheepishly in the last line there.

"Well, I should be the one who does the karaoke thing, right?" Mike questioned. "Of course! You're a karaoke machine after all!" Penny answered back. "Fine. If I must." Mike sighed, taking off the two mics on his head and giving them to Penny and Cricket.

Penny then gets out a TV, gets a plug for karaoke, and uses it on Mike to turn it on.

"Why must I be used as a Karaoke device?" Mike thought to himself, as the karaoke interface comes into view for Penny and Cricket to see.

"Here it is! This is the main screen for karaoke! You can type in a song, and you can sing it out! I'll let you be the one to do the singing there, since we're helping you get ready for the big day!" Penny handed the mics to Cricket, but actually one mic to him.

"I also heard that after the song, you will get a score based on your performance there!" Penny whispered to Cricket's ear.

Cricket smiled about this statement, and decided to search for the song perfect for his to sing. He then stumbled upon a song named; Penny's Song.

"Hey, I think I remembered your song! I bet it doesn't hurt for me to sing your song!" Cricket said, looking at Penny.

"That's fine with me! Well, select the song, and good luck" Penny replied, giving him a thumbs up as he selects the song.

"You know Penny, I've noticed about the case with him. What could this be for?" Mike questioned to Penny, noticing his violin case is there.

"Well, I bet we'll just find out for ourselves!" Penny answered. "But you're right. That case looks familiar there."

Cricket prepared himself, as the song loaded up.

BGM: Penny's Song (From "WarioWare: Get it Together!")

As Cricket begins to sing, Penny and Mike are blown away by how well his singing is doing. "WOW! His singing might be better there! Perhaps after the festival, I could get singing lessons from him!" Penny smiled, with Mike smiling back as well.

"How's that?" Cricket smiled, finishing the opening lines. "Pretty amazing!" Penny replied. "Well, the 1st verse is starting any moment, so prepare yourselves!" Cricket nodded, and began singing the 1st verse.

Penny and Mike could look in awe about Cricket's vocal performance there, from his sweet tuning to the amazing vibratos, to his expressions that even helped with the performance as well!

"You know, he is always a good singer after all." Mike commented about Cricket, while looking at Penny. "Yeah. He's really good! I bet singing could help him with his preparations to the Classical Music Festival, I just know it!" Penny smiled. "After all, he's always the best singer to us!"

While singing the 2nd verse, Cricket thought to himself, "Well, after this verse for the instrumental break, I think I'm gonna make this performance a great turn here!" He smiled about the thought when the 2nd verse ended, just in time of what he brought his violin case for.

As the instrumental break played out, he opened the violin case, and gets his violin and bow ready.

Penny and Mike knew what they're in for as Cricket positioned the violin and bow, and once the 3rd verse began...

He's started playing the 3rd verse on the violin.

"Whoa! I don't expect this performance to have a different turn all of a sudden!" Penny exclaimed. "This makes the performance much better!" Mike smiled. Cricket looked at their looks in amazement, feeling that the different turn worked well for this. It seems that they're loving what he's doing great for this karaoke session, and he's happy about how they're feeling right now.

The final verse made it much better however, as Cricket started playing his violin with much more emotion, playing the vocal's melody with all feeling on his violin. He couldn't help, but listen to the grand sound of his violin playing out the final verse's melody with much emotions. He smiled in triumph as he played the final note, and spent the time listening to the final instrumental with a smile on his face, happy about his performance there.

Penny and Mike are speechless. But Penny's really happy about the turn there!

"I have a feeling you're gonna get a really good score on this!" Penny smiled, cutting off the speechless silence. Mike smiled in agreement because of what Penny said. After this, the results for the song came on.

"I hope this will actually teach me something after this. But still, I'm pretty proud of myself after about my transition from singing to playing the violin!" Cricket thought to himself, smiling. The three watched with anticipation as the score is about to be revealed, and to their shock and surprise...

He got a score of 100!

Penny, Mike, and Cricket are all speechless about the result, mouths gapped open with shock and surprise. But Penny was actually happy about this!

BGM: Superb (From "Rhythm Heaven Fever")

"You did it Cricket! I'm so proud of you!" Penny hugged Cricket, with the latter smiling upon getting a hug for celebration. "No wonder your violin actually got recognized as singing there!" Mike added in also.

Cricket couldn't help but smile at the fact that he did amazing there, and his performance was really what got him much more happy!

"I actually have found myself another thing to help me with the festival after all!" Cricket smiled, feeling like he founded another way of being prepared for the music festival!

"Well then, my karaoke technique worked! After all, you did amazing!" Penny smiled! "I have a feeling that once the day of the festival ends, we should celebrate the day after it!" Mike replied, much to Cricket's delight.

"Thank you two so much. I feel like this day will be the best for me!" Cricket smiled, with the other two smiling as well!

Afternoon came, and Cricket waved goodbye to Penny and Mike, who also waved back at him as well as he leaves.

During the walk home, he thought to himself, "Actually, now that I think about it, the way I had my violin play the vocal's melody, it seems now I can actually think that instruments could have a voice, which also makes it looks like it's singing. It actually makes me feel more happy about it now that I think about it!"

Cricket kept on walking to his home, with a smile on his face.

He has finally arrived on his house, but there was a surprise waiting for him.

Fronk was there!

BGM: A Walk in Andante (From "Kingdom Hearts")

"Ahem! Hello there!" Fronk greeted Cricket, with the latter looking down and seeing the former.

"Ah! Fronk! How do you do?" Cricket looked at Fronk, greeting him as well.

"I just heard you're getting a lot of help from us! I'm very pleased of how you're doing well there! Well, if I had the time, I would give you some tips of my own that you can use for the upcoming festival!" Fronk explained, with Cricket listening to his words.

"Alright then! Now, so far, Spitz, Penny, and Mike has helped me." Cricket explained.

"Great! Now then, for this tip before you go in, always have a good mind on one thing you have to work on. I bet it could help you with your preparation for the festival!" Fronk gave some advice to. Cricket, with the latter nodding his head there.

"Alright. Thanks Fronk!" Cricket thanked Fronk.

"You're most certainly welcome! Now then, I see it's getting late now. Head inside, and good luck for what your friends have for you tomorrow!" Fronk stated, with Cricket smiling, and entering the door to his home.

"I wish you the best of luck out there Cricket." Fronk smiled.

In his room, Cricket kept on thinking about the day he had today, smiling about everything that happened.

"Dinnertime Cricket!" Mantis announced. "Coming!" Cricket replied back, as he makes it way to the dinner table.

While eating dinner, he thought to himself, "Alright, tomorrow is a new day. I wonder what my friends have for me next? Well, who knows? I bet tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, things will be better for me to get prepared."

After dinner, Cricket goes to his room and gets ready for bed. He still can't stop thinking about the unexpected perfect score for a karaoke session from singing to then transitioning to violin there. But nonetheless, he still smiled about it, happy that this day went well today.

After looking at his violin case when in bed, he smiled, and a few minutes later, he sleeps, hoping that tomorrow, a new day will bring another good way for him to remember, for the upcoming festival.
