:Chapter Start:

The term hero has always been rather obvious, until you realise that the definition changes with who you ask. Vought though will argue that the only true heroes belong to them.

Butcher's car-early morning-edge of New York

Butcher drove through the night trying to come to terms with what was sleeping in the passenger seat. Not only was it a 'Supe' but it was one he had no knowledge of, which is a problem he had studied every 'Supe' Vought has, and one as powerful as Danny Fenton would be big news. Butcher was distracted as they hit a deep pothole that caused the 'Supe' in his boot to shout at them while Daniel continued to sleep. Butcher blinks at Danny and suddenly breaks only for it to not affect Daniel. Butcher frowns before growling and waking Daniel by slapping his arm. Daniel calmly woke up before Butcher comments, "We need to talk."

Daniel nods before saying, "okay. What else do you want to know?"

"I need to know I can trust you," Daniel asks.

"Why doesn't the CIA or any other branch of the government have a file on you?" Butcher demanded.

"Besides having someone outside of Vought controlling the section relating to my condition," Daniel explained as Butcher was about to comment when Daniel, "I am not a Human or a Supe, Butcher. I am by definition a literal Ghost," as he makes his hand translucent and making a chopping gesture with his other hand through his translucent wrist.

"Then what organisation were you referring to?" Butcher questioned.

"GIW, otherwise known as the Guys In White," Daniel comments before adding, "They were so incompetent that they caused so much damage they wrote it off as a reason for more funding stating they would need it to cause more as it was needed."

Butcher blink before commenting, "what did they cover the entire town in bullet holes?"

"Think laser weapons from Star Trek. A small pistol hitting the right spot can detonate a medium sized block of buildings. Probably could adjust to knock out a Supe as you call them," Daniel simply states while also commenting to himself.

Butcher blinks before asking, "Do you have any of them?" appearing helpful.

"A couple dismantled that will take a couple days to reassemble," Daniel states before saying, a couple weeks to charge the capacitors from empty."

Butcher nods before saying, "Okay we will talk about this later. For now we are an hour from my friend who can help us with our problem in the trunk." Daniel nods before Butcher adds, "Just try to keep an open mind." With that they continue into Jersey.

An hour later-A guy called Frenchy's place.

It wasn't long until they reached the seedier parts of Jersey where Butcher parked his car in an alley before stepping out with Daniel following suit with them checking the area as Translucent struggled in the trunk. Butcher nodded to Daniel as they walked to the condemned warehouse where Butcher knocked loudly on the door.

The door opened and the two saw a woman looking a bit out of it as Butcher asks, "Hello Love, is Frenchy in?" The woman was silent as she looked to Daniel and frowns before grabbing Daniel's face and examines him with a frown.

Daniel looked at the woman and realised that she noticed before he says, "Yeah I have a history dealing with ghosts." The woman nods before letting him go and letting the pair in.

Butcher looked at him strangely before following the woman into the warehouse where they walked into the back as music was being played as man wearing a leather smock, and smoking was assembling guns as he nods his head. He noticed the girl only to frown as Butcher was seen. Butcher smiles and says, "Frenchy, how have you been?"

Frenchy was silent before he simply asks, "Are you here with the forty gees you owe me?"

Danny who was playing with parts as he began assembling them perfectly like a trained pro, looked up and says, "He seems the type."

"Who is your friend?" Frenchy asks impressed that Danny was cleaning assembling the rifles perfectly.

"This is Daniel. New acquaintance of mine," Butcher introduced.

"And he is still alive?" Frenchy asked getting a snort from Danny.

"Inside joke," Butcher states before commenting, "Look, Frenchy I have a job. How would you like to double your money?"

"Double of zero is still zero," Frenchy states simply.

Butcher smirks and says, "At least see the job."

With that Butcher led Frenchy out to the car while pulling out a cattle prod from the back as the trio walked to the back of the car for Frenchy to ask, "who is in there?" Butcher gestured to Frenchy to open it to find no one in there only for a guy to start yelling at him as Butcher shocked the invisible hero and closed the trunk. Frenchy started to panic as he stepped away while shouting, "You have Translucent in there!?" Butcher makes a comment about nothing getting past him only for Frenchy to draw his gun on Butcher.

Daniel frowns before commenting, "how about we all remain calm, and shoot each other later."

"That is Translucent! He has a tracking device surgically implanted. You led them right here," Frenchy states through gritted teeth.

Daniel blinks before asking, "Where is in the body?"

Frenchy looks to him and says, "Where the shoulder meets the neck left side."

With that Daniel opens the trunk and punches Translucent hard before reaching into the Supe's body and removing the tracking device before stating, "I saw a bus terminal a couple blocks away, I will go buy some time."

With that Daniel starts walking only to turn invisible shocking Frenchy. Frenchy looks to Butcher with wide eyes as Butcher says, "I know, I know. We got our work cut out for us now," with that Frenchy gets his stuff while waiting on Butcher to find a place.

Danny calmly walked along the side walk until he found the bus terminal while was slowly filling for the day. One bus in particular gained his interest as he walked over to the bus that was slowly filling with girls going to spend time in Miami for Spring Break. Danny frowns as he looks at the transmitter and with a sigh walks over to the group.

Abandoned Fast food place a couple hours later

Frenchy and Butcher sighed as they stepped out the walk in fridge in the basement of the old fast food place. The name on the building called it Vought Burger. Butcher and Frenchy ignored the shouting as they sealed the door that silenced the room enough for the pair to finally have some words, "So you are running with a Supe now?"

Butcher sighs at the question before answering Frenchy, "I don't know anymore. I was investigating the Seven. Found out that the current Fast Fucker almost ran through a civilian who Vought thought had been killed. So I try an con the victims boyfriend into helping me get back at the Seven. Only that Invisible Cunt followed us back to his place a business. I run over the fuck with my car through the main window where the Cunt managed to survive getting run over. I tell to Fuck off but he came back and wailed on him, like he wasn't invisible. He over powered the Cunt."

Crude language aside, Frenchy blinked before asking, "He over powered unbreakable skin? What kind if powers does he have?"

"The ghost kind," Daniel answered calmly as he returned to the visible spectrum at the entrance to the Kitchen. Daniel looked at the pair before saying, "As far as Vought knows, he is riding with a group of collage girls heading for spring break."

Butcher frowns before commenting, "Those things run on being inside a body, what's going to happen when it runs out of power?" Daniel calmly looks at Butcher appearing uncomfortable causing Butcher to blink as well as realise what happened.

Frenchy frowns and says, "so we have thirty six hours before the tracking device melts?"

Butcher turns to Frenchy and says, "We have how ever long it takes for Vought to realise they are tracking some girl partying with a tracking device implanted in their body."

Daniel nods and says, "Maybe one, maybe two decades with how they run things," with a dry humor that was both a joke and serious.

Frenchy frowned at the pair before shaking his head before asking, "This is crazy. I don't know what is stranger the fact that we are working with a Supe willingly or that Butcher apparently did not black mail you into it."

"Well apparently he Is not a Supe." Butcher comments.

"Wasn't born this way," Daniel comments before adding, "So what is the plan with the nudist?"

"We need to find a way to kill this guy before we can interrogate him," Butcher answered.

"He has unbreakable skin," Frenchy states, "As long as he is invisible, we can't injure him let alone kill him," Frenchy taps away on the bench before freezing and turned to Daniel and asks, "How did you remove the tracking devise?"

Daniel frowns before stating, "I became intangible and removed the device."

Butcher frowns himself before adding, "He claims he is a ghost."

Frenchy blinks before commenting, "So like Poltergist or Ghost?" genuinely curious.

Daniel simply states, "A bit of everything. Depending on the situation."

Frenchy simply asked, "Any interesting sex stories?"

Danny hums and says, "No," Daniel turned to Butcher and asks, "What should we do with the nudist?"

Daniel leaned on a wall as Butcher scratched his bloodied chin and beard before commenting, "Me and French will brain storm while you talk with the Cunt."

Daniel nods and walks over to the fridge as Frenchy looks over to Butcher and asks, "Perhaps we can make a coated bullet to pierce the skin."

Daniel before he opened the fridge says, "You are going to need to make the bullet of at least eighty percent of the nano material. Otherwise it will ricochet also get a paint ball gun to cover him in paint so you know where to shoot," with that said Daniel walked into the fridge and kneeled in front of the cage as Traslucient shouting at him.

Butcher frowns at this before looking to Frenchy and asks, "Would that work?"

"I only have what I scrapped off our friend. We may have the time but we can not spend the next five years peeling layers of bullets," Frenchy answered taking a drag of his smoke.

Butcher frowns before stating, "You work on that," Butcher stands before putting his coat on.

"Where are you going?" Frenchie questioned.

"I am going to speak to an old friend," Butcher states.

"She won't talk you know. Especially after what happened," Frenchy stated.

"Yeah, due to your actions, but then you would be me," Butcher states as he walks out the abandoned restaurant leaving Frenchy confused.

Inside the Fridge

Daniel kneeled in front of the cage in thought as Translucent continued to shout how Homelander was coming and they would be dead. Daniel spoke, "Vought's tracking device has already been removed. They think you are heading to Florida in a bus filled with female collage students. You are probably wondering what we want and why." Translucent was finally silent as Daniel continued, "Considering you turn invisible, you hear things whether they are secrets or people's opinion of yourself. I mean turning invisible and walking around hearing what people really think of you."

Translucent frowns while invisible before commenting, "What do you know?" Daniel shimmered on the spot. Translucent then asks, "Are you trying to steal my gig?"

Daniel comments, "You turn invisible while being added to a list. I died to get where I am. Now why has that fast guy been running around the city to the point that Vought are lying to people to cover up attempted murders."

Translucent blinks before saying, "This is about that girl? You think your justified. We are the worlds most mighty."

Daniel frowns before stating, "You are stagnating through fame and publicity. Nothing to strive for but movie rights. You have no reason to even use your powers for others that makes you careless. Case and point, you are in a cage because you told the world you conduct electricity, because you thought no one was against you."

Translucent growls and says, "Who would be dumb enough to do that?"

Daniel silently stands and phases through the cage like it is not their and says looking Translucent in the eyes, "Someone stronger then you," Daniel stands before pulling out a clock and says, "I will give you twenty four hours," he started the clock and partially phased it into the door before stating, "I giving you that time to think about what I have said. The other two will make their plans to kill you in that time. Once your time is up I get involved and I can get past your skin," with that Daniel walked through startling Frenchy who was mixing chemical's to make a bullet coating.

Daniel frowns as Frenchy says, "Butcher went to speak with his contact at the CIA," Daniel blinks as Frenchy states, "We were CIA black ops team. The kind that if we fail or where caught we would be abandoned."

With Butcher-a couple hours later

In a suburban home out of the way of major traffic or media presence, a woman wearing woollen sleepwear walked down stairs and into a kitchen to let the cat in only to find the door open. She pulled out a gun and aimed at Butcher who was holding a grey cat as a 'Human' Shield as Butcher says, "Hello again Raynor."

Raynor lowered her weapon and says, "What the fuck are you doing here Butcher?"

"I just need to look at some files. A couple Supes nothing big. Maybe Translucent if you have them," Butcher states.

"The Malory Files were sealed because of the shit show your team caused," Raynor states.

"Yeah I figured," Butcher stats as he drops the cat before walking towards the door behind Raynor.

Raynor blinked before saying, "That's it? You never give up to the point you do it anyway." Raynor's words caused Butcher to flinch before she asks, "Why did you really come here?"

Butcher fought with himself before finally asking, "Have you heard of this one Supe? Went by Danny Phantom?"

Raynor pointed her gun at Butcher again and says, "If you have somehow tried to kill this one, I will kill you now."

"No, the Seven's speed freak almost killed his girl," Butcher stated as Raynor pressed her gun into her face, "She survived but now Translucent is locked up and we are trying to get information on what the Seven are doing. A-Train seen and recorded speeding around the country only to run through a Sheiler's legs. Now we have a little time to find out why before we are either dead men or discovering how to kill an invulnerable and invisible cunt. Surprisingly we now have an undead cunt willing to help us out but I don't know if I can trust him."

Raynor simply states, "Butcher you dumb British fucker. If you get Danny fucking Phantom on our side you get Homelander!" and Butcher could only blink.
