"They are likely Iwa's strongest shinobi. With your natural instincts you picked up on their overwhelming strength and being face to face with it alone terrified you." He stopped to drink his tea. "Then there is Deidera. the youngest of the current Kage. A weilder of Explosion release and a secret Jutsu. But you have nothing to fear for you wont be facing foes of that Caliber for a long time."

Chapter 13: The Applications and Team Guy

Yamo waited outside the academy holding her filled application for the chunin exams, her head dipped down in concentration. Thinking of her encounter with Iwa's strongest shinobi from the previous day. They knew of her mother.

"Yamo!" Naruto ran up to her his usual smile on his face. "I knew you would be here!"

"Of course I was, I need to prove im the strongest in Konoha. I bet the other sensei's won't even let their students compete once they know were in." She smiled as clasped hands laughing.

"Oh don't be ridiculous, You aren't that powerful Yamo. It may scare off someone like Hinata, but Kiba's as dense as Naruto." Sakura remarked as she walked up to the pair.

"We're all here. Lets do this, one more step forward." Yamo smiled holding out her fist.

"Yeah, come on Sakura, between my determination, Yamamoto's strength and your smarts, we are going to crush this." Naruto remarked cheerfully, putting his fist in the middle of the trio with Yamo.

"Fine, you better not flunk on the written exam." Sakura reluctantly put her fist in the circle.

From a nearby tree Kakashi watched them. "Their coming together as a team." He said to him self. "Much faster then we did, Obito, Rin..."

Team seven made their way into the building and up the stairs. Down the hall was a large crowd where two boys blocked the doorway to the application room for the chunin exams. Before the trio made the way over Yamo looked at the floor number frowning. She blinked activating her sharingan before blinking angain turning it off.

The three of the easily pushed their way trough. "Whats the problem?" Naruto asked as a boy with black hair cut in a bowl cut was shoved to the ground, he wore a green jump suit with orange leg sleeves and wore fabric straps wrapped around his knuckles. his head band was tied like a belt.

His team mates helped him up, a girl in a pink and brown set of clothes and a pouch around her waist and a brown haired boy with the eyes of the Hyuga clan in a pale loosely fitting outfit. "Whats the big idea?" the girl protested.

"This is the Third year you bums have tried for the chunin exam. Were just here to save you the humiliation." One of the older boys jeered, clearly a chunin.

"Just drop the act." Yamo said stepping forward. "You used Genjutsu to change the floor numbers, that 214 the room we need is 314. You just wanted to waste people's time."

"I see nothing get past you Yamo." Sakura said. "Really sabotaging your fellow ninja, how low do you have to be, We're all konoha Shinobi."

"Wait we're on the wrong floor?" Nauto asked. "Then why are we wasting time with these chumps."

"God damn it Naruto." Sakura sighed.

Team seven turn to leave and head to the next floor when they were stopped.

"Your Team seven aren't you?" The boy in the green jump suit asked as Team seven approached the stairs. His teammates stood behind them. "And you Are Yamamoto Uchiha. I am Rock Lee and these are my team mates Neji Hyuga and Tenten."

"Yes? And your point is?" Yamo asked.

Neji stepped forward. "Your team's sensei is our's greatest rival."

Tenten stood back. "Guys this can wait for the exam."

"Yamamoto Uchiha, We challenge you to a duel." Rock Lee said, a cold hard look in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, what was that bushy brows? You think you can take on Yamo?" Naruto yelled.

Yamo stepped forward drawing a Kunai. "I'll indulge your curiosity, though I must ask, why?"

"Its quite simple, you possess two genki kenkai. The sharingan and your energy release." Neji said. "I remember how the Uchiha clan would hold you up as a child, proclaiming you were to be the greatest Uchiha since the time of the warring states. Born a prodigy among one of the oldest clans in Konoha. Taking the title of strongest clan from mine, stories of how your father humiliated the Hyuga families." Neji said ready to fight with his team mate.

"You cause havoc through town claiming to be the strongest in Konoha, the villagers laughing along with you." Rock Lee said. "Because your father gave his life to help stop the ninetails, yet he once threatened to destroy Konoha himself."

"You mean when my mother first dragged him into the village like he was a child who ran away from home?" Yamo asked, familiar with what they spoke of. "I think I can handle two older Chunin. After all why should I back down?" She put up her fists ready to fight as Naruto and Sakura backed away with the girl from their team.

Lee was the first to attack with a over head kick while Neji came low with an open palm strike aimed at Yamos core. Yamo blocked Lee's kick before sidestepping Neji. Leen landed on hos palms and curlded his body in before twisting and exploding out in a spinning flurry of kicks. As Yamo defelected the attack Neji came from behind. His palms glowing with chakra as he lashed out in fast palm strikes.

Two connected before Yamo got away. the skin red under her clothes. "Gentle fist... open palm strikes... targeting my tenketsu." she said to herself. "My turn." She ran forwards and at the last second as she had her fist raised to punch Lees blooked gaurd she kicke her feet forward and slid along the ground blasting his legs out from under him. Rolling onto her back and palms of her hands she kicked up and launched her self with her arms slaming her feet into the ceiling. wood chips fell around her as she dashed to the left side wal of Neji. Her sharingan met his Byakuygan.

The she was on the right side wall and he was on the ceiling, tears in both of their clothing. Then She was on the floor ten feet back and he was on the left side wall, each a new blow. Then they clashed a third time and Neji slide along the hard wood floor as Lee stood by his side, no new atacks on them as Yam had two more tears in her clothes. "First gate... open." The two boys said in unison.

Yamo dashed forward her her energy realease pooling in her hands.

Then in a flash it was over. Yamo was on the ground with her arm twisted behind her back and tail in a firm grip, while Neji and Lee were tackled to the ground in a green flash. "I can appreciate the enthusiasm. But try to hold it in till the Exam proper." Kakashi Sensei said releasing his grip.

Neji and Lee sat up looking at their mentor. and he had an almost uncanny resemblance to Lee. same hair cut, and jumpsuit and thick busy eyebrows.

"It was just a bit of fun." Yamo said rubbing her tail. "Its not like I was going to kill them..."

"Sorry Guy sensei." Lee and Neji bowed to their mentor.

"Like Kakashi said, now is not the place. I would expext this behavior out of Lee, but you as well Neji?" Guy sensei remarks. "Though I'm glad you've finally started working as a team. Kakashi and I will determine you threes punishment later." He said pointing at Yamo, Neji and Lee. "As for the other three, Ten-ten, you should have stepped in and stopped from your teammates from doing something so rash."

"Naruto and Sakura, even if Yamo agreed to the fight, you still left your teammate to fight two on one. Not very good for team cohesion." Kakashi remarked. "I'll duscuss you consequces with Might Guy later. I don't care if you get into fights, just always have each others back."

"Yes Sensei." The two twams said before brushing themselves off.

They then headed up stairs as the two Jonin looked at each other. "Yamamoto would have wiped the floor with them." Kakashi said with for then a fair amount of snark.

"Of course not. My students have the power of Youth on their side." Guy laughs out loud. "Want to get some ramen while we discuss their punishments?"

"Of course. I wouldn't have it any other way."
