Here is chapter 2 of Embracing Destiny! Sorry to make you wait a couple of days for the update!

No One POV:

When Harry was done eating breakfast, he was quick to leave the Gryffindor table with not even so much as a goodbye towards his friends. He needed to talk to Snape and the man would no doubt be in his rooms.

Once Harry made it, he whispered the password and walked into the private room.

"Severus are you in here? Have you read the article the Daily Prophet sent out yet?"

The low drawl of Severus Snape's voice came from the direction of the office and Harry followed it. "Yes I am in the office, and I have indeed read the article."

"Well, what are your feelings on it? Did you know about it? Better yet how is Draco taking the news? I didn't see him in the Great Hall, but I assume that was because he has a habit of missing breakfast when he's deep into his studies." He sat down in the chair that sat across from Severus and took the cup of tea offered to him.

"I'm afraid I had no idea that my best friend had been going through so much. He must have been sworn to secrecy until something happened to change that. Seeing as Draco hasn't come rushing in, I assume he hasn't read the article but will soon."

In the next moment, a flustered and visibly upset Draco came storming into the office as the portrait door slammed closed. Though he paused for only a moment before going to Harry and falling into his arms. Harry just hugged his best friend and held him close before looking at Severus over the blonde's head.

"It seems I should go and flew to Lucius before he also comes storming into my rooms. I trust you will take care of Draco while I am gone Harry?" With a confirming nod from the Boy Who Lived, Severus left his office to go and be with his best friend.

Harry POV:

I glanced down at the distressed blonde in my arms and held him just a little bit tighter. He didn't deserve this to be happening to him. There's no doubt that the whole school will know about the article, by this time tomorrow and then there will be no peace for any of us.

"Did you know that I'm also a Veela Harry? To know that my father was hurt and forced to do things against his very nature; it hurts me. He had no choice, and he was further trapped once he had to protect me from that woman. Why? I don't understand why. I just want to go home." Draco whispered as he continued to hold back his tears. It would seem to be very uncharacteristic, but I know that Draco can't always put up that pristine Pureblood mask.

My heart hurts in a way I never imagined it would at his words. Veela were so very special to our community and this Veela was even more important to me. Draco isn't just a friend, he's someone who treated me the same no matter what the rest of the wizarding world was saying about me.

"I didn't know you were also one, but I gather that the dots would've connected soon. It's okay to be upset and to cry. Your father has been through so much and so have you. It pains me to see you in so much distress. I don't understand why that woman made the choices she did either, but you are almost free of the hurt she has caused you. Severus will bring your father by later I'm sure, but for now, I hope you can find the comfort you need in the arms of your best friend."

Bloody hell was this a right mess.

~At Malfoy Manor~

No One POV:

Severus walked into the main living room of Malfoy Manor and was greeted by the sight of Lucius Malfoy throwing things about and screeching like the part Veela he is.

"Lucius! I'm going to have to ask you to calm down at once! What good will destroying your home do? Narcissa will take it as a win and will do more harm than she already has to you and Draco! Think about what you're doing!"

Lucius paused in his actions and turned towards his best friend of over twenty years. There was clear recognition as the blonde began to calm his rage. Once calm enough, he was quick to fix the room and sat down on the lounge with his head in his hands.

"Severus, I don't know what I am going to do. The whole of the wizarding world knows about all of the pain Narcissa has brought me and Draco. And for what? This is exactly what she wanted, and I knew that, but I still went and publicized our life. Who knows how Draco is going to react or worse, how others are going to react to him. He just got his inheritance. What if someone tries to trap him the way I was?"

Clearly the blonde Malfoy Lord was not currently in his best state of mind, but there was little Severus could do as his best friend. This was one of those moments where he wished that Lucius actually had found his mate. The other would have soothed and calmed him before a spiral, which was about to happen.

"We both know that the wizarding world adores you despite what the past has brought out. Do not forget that you are almost their Minster of Magic. The level of respect and loyalty you need to have for that position is a high one. Unless you are Fudge, but that's not important right now. You and Draco are both going to be okay. Harry is with him right now and they are talking as we speak."

A wave of calm went around the room. "You say that Lord Potter is with him? Is my son alright? How did he react to the situation?"

Now that his friend was calmer, Severus was able to feel his own worry go away just a little as well. "Draco is just fine. He was a little distressed, but he has the support of his friends and that's what matters right now."

"Yes, I suppose there isn't much use for worrying if Draco is alright. I shall do any damage control I need to, when I go into the Ministry tomorrow. Afterwards, I'll make my way to Hogwarts to see Draco. Thank you Severus." Lucius stood up and hugged his best friend quickly before going to his office to start damage control plans.
