The other members of the group all hid from the bat cronies, as Quasimodo said, "It's a good thing these six decided to give up.". Lincoln noticed what happened out there, and was shunned.
"No!", Lincoln said, "Those six got captured!". "And two of them were the leaders of the whole shebang.", Griffin said. "Yeah,", Winnie said, "I hope my zing will be alright.".
"Well, did anyone agree on a backup leader?", Dracula asked the group, but everyone just said, "We kinda forgot.". "Well,", Lisa said, "Since Dennis and Lucy are captured, and Dracula knew that the mountain was south, we should make him and Lincoln the substitute leaders.". "Good thinking.", Ericka said.
"Okay, I think we should see where those guys are taking them.", Dracula said, "Stay out of sight, guys.". Lincoln, who was behind Drac said, "We're going to save you Dennis and Lucy, as well as Clyde, and Leni, and Lola, and Johnny.".
Meanwhile, Lucy was shown now to be tied up to a post, with Dennis tied to another post. "Where are we?!", Dennis asked with fear. "I don't know.", Lucy said, "But... I've got a bad feeling about this.".
"Look what we have here.", Cory said from the distance, "If it isn't the two leaders of the group of misfits!". "Oh no.", Dennis said, "We're about to get killed. But wait, where are the others?". "Oh,", Harpos said, "They're not that important, so you two will die first.".
"No!", Lucy shouted. "Well then,", Harpos said, "Looks like we're going to slash you instead.". "Never!!!", Dennis said, as he transformed into his bat form, and freed himself and Lucy from the ropes.
"I got you!", Dennis said. "Thanks, Dennis.", Lucy said, but as the two Bela-lings got closer, Lucy soon screamed, "Run!!!". "Run? Why?", Dennis asked, to which Lucy said, "No time to explain, run!".
Cory and Harpos did monstrous roars, which caused more bat cronies to appear, and the two misfits just run for their lives. "Look out!", Dennis said, dodging the various claws of the cronies. "In there!", Lucy said, but then fell down. "Ow!", Lucy said.
"Lucy!!!", Dennis said with fear, noticing that the cronies are getting closer to the gothic Loud kid. "What're you doing?", Dennis said, "Run!!!". However, Lucy didn't move. She's almost like she's paralyzed. "No where else to run.", Harpos said, "Give up, will ya!".
But before Lucy will get slashed, Dennis grabbed Lucy and dragged her into the bush. "Thanks for saving me!", Lucy said, before saying, "I mean, I was going to move you know.". "Really?", Dennis asked, "You didn't even move!".
"Forget about it.", Lucy said, "Where might the others be?". "Well, they might be up in that cage up there!", Dennis said, with Lucy saying, "Good thinking, Denisovich! Let's fly up there!". Dennis then flew himself and Lucy up to the cage, where Johnny, Clyde, Lola and Leni are held prisoner.
"What do ya wanna do?", Clyde said all depressed, as he look at the others, who just like him are sadden. "I don't know.", Leni said, "Wanna play I Spy?", she soon asked. "Fine.", Lola said, in a bored mood. "Okay, I spy with my little eye, something metal.".
"It's the stupid cage we are trapped in.", Clyde said, "Which is dangling over a bunch of spiked rocks!". "How'd you know?", Leni asked, all perked up. "I guess, I'll be next then.", Clyde interrupted, "I spy with MY little eye, something with orange fluffy hair flying around!".
"Really?!", Johnny asked, "Where?". "Over there!", Clyde said. "Wait.", Lola said, squinting her eyes, "That's Dennis, and he's carrying Lucy!". "Daddy!", Dennis said, as Lucy said, "Hey, everyone.".
"Glad to have you back, Lucy!", Lola said, and Lucy said, "Yeah... I'm... I'm... happy about it too?". "Well, at least everyone is back together.", Leni said. "Yeah, at least I'm... Ouch!", Lucy said, wincing her arm.
"What's wrong?", Dennis asked. "My wrist.", Lucy said, "It hurts!". "Did you do something to it?", Leni asked. "I don't know.", Lucy said. "Good thing I still have my backpack.", Johnny said, and pulled out various things. "I found the first aid kid!", Johnny said.
"Thanks, Dad!", Dennis said. "Wait?!", Leni asked, "Dennis, you're really a doctor?!". "Not really!", Dennis said all serious, "But I'm not taking any chances!".
Meanwhile, back in the forest, Lincoln and Dracula were leading the rest of the group. "Well, it's a good thing we made it to the mountain.", Drac said, with Lincoln adding in, "Yeah, now we have to get to the top!".
"This'll take a long time!", Murray said, and Luan suggested, "Maybe we should sing 1000 bottles of beer on the wall!". "Okay.", Frank said, as he, Murray, and Luan sang, "1000 bottles of beer on the wall, 1000 bottles of beer! Take one down, pass it round, 999 bottles of beer on the wall!".
"Will you be quiet!", Lori said, "You'll get us caught!". "Okay. We'll sing quietly.", Murray said, as the trio kept on singing. "I just hope that Lucy and the others are okay.", Mavis said to Lincoln. "Me too.", Lincoln replied.
"Alright, let's get you all checked out.", Dennis said, now wearing doctor's attire. "Uh, but isn't Lucy's wrist what you should be curing?", Leni asked, who was wearing a nurse cap, due to her wanting to be the nurse in the situation.
"Well, what if she injured some other part of her body?", Johnny asked, with Dennis interrupting, "Okay Lucy, I check you all out.". "Let's see...", Dennis said, as he pulls out a stethoscope from the first aid kit. "Is this really necessary?", Lucy asked.
Dennis soon told Lucy to be quiet, as he is listening to Lucy's heart. Too Dennis' surprise, it was beating very fast. "Huh?", he said. "Something wrong, Dennis?", Lola asked, and Dennis said, "Lucy, your heart is beating faster than I thought.".
"What?", Lucy said with confusion, "It's not supposed to be that fast.". "I know,", Dennis said, "And we stopped here to rest up and...". Suddenly, Dennis gave a sly expression. "Are you scared?", Dennis asked, thinking he might be onto something. "No!", Lucy said, "I'm not scared.".
"Okay...", Clyde said, "But why are you sweating?". "Well, I... I...", Lucy said, and Leni interrupted, "Yeah, and you're stuttering, and your knees are shaking, and...". "Okay, we all can see that!", Dennis said.
"YES DENNIS!", Lucy confessed, "I'M SCARED, OKAY!". "Ha, I knew it!", Dennis said. "Wait, I don't understand. What are you scared of?". "It's not actually a what... It's a who!", Lucy said. "Okay then?", Clyde said, "Then, WHO are you scared of?".
"Bela.", Lucy confessed. When everyone heard that, they were shocked, but the most shocked was Dennis. "But Bela is a scary monster, and you like scary stuff.", he said. "I know!", Lucy said all embarrassed, "Go ahead, laugh at me.".
"Laugh at you? Why?", Dennis asked, "It's okay to be scared.". "Yeah.", Leni said, "We all have fears, like my fear of spiders, and when I younger, the dark and lightning.". "Really?!", Johnny said, "Me too!". "So, what'd you do about it?", Lucy asked.
"I made up a little song.", Leni said, and she and Johnny soon sang, "When you hear the sound of thunder, don't you get too scared. Just grab your best buddy, and say these magic words. Take that thunder, you are just a stink. You can't scared me thunder, because it's just a cloud's farts!", and then blew raspberries.
"Okay?", Lucy said, "But how would that help?". "Well, you don't have to sing a song.", Dennis said, "You might find your own way to feel less scared.". "But, let's still take care of that wrist of yours.", he concluded.
"Hey, I found a booklet in the kit.", Clyde said, "And there's a page that tells the difference between a sprain and a break.". "How would that help us?", Lola asked. "Well, I may not be as smart as Lisa, but she might say it might be a 50% chance that it's a break, and the other 50% a sprain.", Dennis said.
"Wow, that's smart.", Johnny said, and Dennis responded, "Thank you.". "Anyway, what does the book say?", he soon asked. "Well, it says that, 'Sprains and breaks are painful injuries. They may look similar, but there are a few key differences to tell them about.'.", Clyde read.
"'First',", Clyde continued reading, "'Ask the patient if they heard a snap when the injury occurred. If they did, it's possible a break.'.". "Those bat monsters are roaring so loud, that I can't hear a thing.", Lucy said.
"'Next, examine the wrist.',", Clyde continued, "They may feel painful; but with a break, the wrist might also be bent or misshapen.'.". "I can't tell from this angle.", Johnny said, "But it's definitely swollen though.". "What's next?", Dennis asked.
"'Ask the patient if the wrist feels numb.',", Clyde said, "If it is, then it's more likely a break, not a sprain.". "It's so numb, that it feels like my hand is gone.", Lucy said. "Stop worrying, that's not like you!", Lola said.
"Anyways,", Clyde interrupted, "The final part says, 'Is the pain coming from the soft part of the muscle, or the...". Leni decided to poke at Lucy's wrist, which causes her to scream, "Bone!". "I'm sorry,", Dennis said, "It's a break.".
"Darn.", Lucy said. "Let's just get you all patched up.", Dennis said, as he and Lola decided to work together to make a cast. "Thanks.", Lucy said quietly. "No problem.", Dennis said, putting his outfit back in the kit, and the kit into the backpack.
"Not only that.", Lucy said, "I have another secret.". "What's that?", Dennis said. "Back at the swamp, and the trash pit...", Lucy said, "I had nightmares about Bela!". "What?!", Dennis said, "Why didn't you tell us?". "Because, I'm afraid that you might make fun of me.", Lucy said.
"That's not gonna happen.", a voice said. "Who's that?", Leni asked. It was revealed that a albino bat cronie is flying towards them. She had dull claws, and her wings flew with grace. "That's Mina!", Dennis said. "Hi there.", Mina said, however Leni said, "Don't kill us!".
"I'm not gonna kill you, I'm going to help you.", Mina said. "Help us?", Lola said, "Why should we trust you!". "Because, I'm a rebel, or in other words, a philanthropist.", Mina said, "And you guys know you're going to be dead soon, right?".
"Yeah.", Clyde said, "But where is Lincoln, and Drac, and the others?". "They're coming to rescue you.", Mina said, "I just need to find them, and lead them up to you.".
"Wow, you're less scary than Bela.", Leni said. "Thanks.", Mina said, "And Lucy, all you have to do is believe in yourself and don't give up. My husband and Morag might be powerful, but true power comes from great responsibility!". "Thanks for telling me that.", Lucy said.
"Oh, not only that!", Leni said, "Bela and Morag want us to give you this.". "What?! Are you stupid?!", Johnny asked, and Leni said, "Oops.". As Mina reads the threat, she gets more worried. "They're going to execute me?!", Mina said with shock, "I better warn Lincoln and the others.".
Mina soon flew off, and everyone said, "Good luck!".
