Unfinished

Chapter 2

Why did you have to lock me out. When i let you in?.

I'm 25. Back in my hometown. Staying in my brother and best friend's guest room. With my writing career future unknown.

My wedding ring on my finger. Which feels like such a lie at this point. Given everything i know now.

With knocking at my bedroom door. I insisted that i didn't need anything but the person kept knocking.

So i got up and opened the door slowly.

Standing in front of me. Was my wife.

"Did you follow you here?" Lucas asked.

"Luke. Don't be that way. I know things are messy and confusing right now but that doesn't mean we have to throw it all away." Peyton said.

Lucas glared at her. "You can't be serious. Sawyer isn't mine."

"You let me propose. Us getting married. It's all based off nothing real."

"Who is her biological father?" Lucas asked.

"That doesn't matter. What does is us. This marriage." Peyton said.

"This marriage is over how much more clear can i be?" Lucas asked.

"I didn't sign up to raise her on my own and i won't do that." Peyton said.

"What are you saying?" Lucas questioned.

"That i'll make arrangements of my own."

"You aren't obligated to be responsible for her. I'm not raising her. And the other guy is no one but a few secret nights."

"I'll put her up for adoption. She's young enough not to remember any of this." Peyton announced. Before leaving.

...

"So Lucas is back in town." Haley announced. As she entered Brooke's clothing store.

"Without Sawyer or Peyton i heard. The town gossip mill is spilling over." Brooke replied.

"He's staying with us. It's important he has support. Especially with his Karen out of town."

"I know you have you're own life the engagement." Haley said.

"Lucas and I are friends. I care about him. Julian knows that." Brooke replied.
