Crowley and Aziraphale hid a disgraced Archangel from the eyes of Heaven and Hell. With help from some humans, they stopped the Apocalypse. There was little the pair couldn't do together, and that was a threat to the ineffable plan. The Metatron managed to separate them, but would it be long enough to start the war to end all wars? It takes about three years for Aziraphale to realize that he messed up by leaving Crowley to go to Heaven, and he returned to Earth ashamed and unwilling to seek out Crowley, who he thinks he has hurt beyond repair. Crowley has to seek him out instead. Language warning. One-Shot.

It's been a while since Aziraphale left for Heaven, and Crowley hasn't recovered. He is sitting and drinking in a field and thinking about ending it all when Aziraphale tries to speak to him from Heaven.
