(Begin)
-Insert Obsession by Seesaw-
-How come I must know Where obsession needs to go?-
The song began by showing a young woman similar to Ruby wearing a skintight body suit and some sort of VR headset over her eyes. She was dancing to the beat of the tune It was to note that she was noted to have long blond hair and white skin. The images then flashed to what seemed to be computer screens that were flashing the emblems of RWBY, HAKE, NPR, and SSAG.
-How come I must know The direction of relieving?-
The images then returned to the woman dancing as she kept up with the tune. But then suddenly she jumped off the ledge she was on into a pool of some sort of liquid which she vanished into before the titles appeared.
-Deep in the night Far off the light Missing my headache-
The next images displayed the members of Team HAKE starting with Haseo and going down the list of Atoli, Kuhn, and Endrance. Behind them was their emblems and the images of their Epitaphs.
-Visions of light Sweeter delight Kissin' my loveache-
The next images showed Team RWBY, starting with Ruby and her emblem but noting her Twilight Bracelet floating around her rose Emblem. The next images showed the members of her team, Weiss, Blake, and Yang.
What came next were several images of the members of Team SSAG with Silabus and Gaspard talking, Alkaid standing in a forest, and Shino seemingly walking away from everyone with something of a saddened look. It then ended with the Twilight Bracelets falling from the heavens towards hands of shadows before slipping onto the arm of an unknown person.
-Deep in the night Far off the light Missing my headache-
The images began to show each member of Team HAKE fighting or training showing off their own skills sets. It then began to show the members of team SSAG before ending with an image of Ovan.
-Visions of light Sweeter delight Kissin' my loveache-
The next showed Team RWBY doing the same as Team HAKE but was then followed by images of Team NPR with Jaune shown still in his coma. The images then ended with Ozpin standing in his office staring out into Remnant.
-How come I must know Where obsession needs to go?-
The images then switched over to a tunnel of Energy starting with Haseo falling through. His body began to glow with the markings of his Epitaph Skeith as he fell through the tunnel. Following it up was Ruby as her eyes began to give off a powerful silver glow that resonated with her bracelet.
-How come I must know Where the passion hides its feelings?-
Now it was Endrance as he fell through the tunnel with Atoli both of their Epitaph marks glowing on their bodies. Following it was Weiss and Blake as they fell down their own tunnel with Blake holding a White Fang Mask and Weiss with an unknown Glyph behind her.
-How come I must know Where obsession needs to go?-
The final pair was Kuhn and Yang who fell down the tunnel. Kuhn's Epitaph marks were glowing while Yang had her Semblance active leaving a trail of embers behind her.
-How come I must know The direction of relieving?-
The final scene show Shino as she hovered in the air before opening her eyes revealing a powerful glow that matched her eyes. She was soon replaced by the blond woman who was faced with another girl who wore a gothic white dress, the Goddess Aura.
-End OST-
(Start Hospital Jaune's Hospital room)
Atoli was sitting by her brother's bed at Vale General Hospital seeing he was still in a coma. A Police guard was outside the room possibly waiting for him to wake up and have him arrested on the spot. Sitting there for a moment Atoli began to gather her thoughts watching her twin brother in his coma.
"Hey Jaune, how have you been." Atoli began awkwardly but got no response from him. "Sorry dumb question." Atoli said while sitting with her, brother. "Well Beacon has been good... everyone misses you; you know... I mean the, you from before AIDA." Atoli said recalling how her brother went insane from AIDA. "The Vytal Festival is coming up and I think we have a shot." Atoli said trying to talk to her brother. "I wish... you were here though and not like this." Atoli said knowing Jaune's comatose state did not kindle joy for her. "Dad is working with a lawyer to get your case retried for a reduced sentence." Atoli said smiling a bit. "He's gunning for hour arrest but if not then a minimal security prison with chance for early release with good behavior." Atoli said before she sighed sadly a bit.
"I miss you Jaune... things aren't the same with you like this." Atoli said before looking to the clock. "I need to go now hopefully you'll wake up soon." Atoli said hoping Jaune's condition improves somehow.
(Outside the Room)
Atoli exited the room and was met with Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren. "Atoli." Pyrrha greeted to Atoli. "Has there been any changes?" Pyrrha asked with concern for Jaune.
"No, he's still out cold." Atoli said with a sad tone in her voice.
"I see." Pyrrha said with equal sadness. "Well, I've been talking to Professor Ozpin, and he says that without a fourth team member we can't fight in the Tournament." Pyrrha said as she saw how Nora was upset about it.
"Oh... I'm sorry." Atoli said hoping there may be a change soon.
"Don't worry we managed to talk with him, and we can still take part... just in more of the background." Pyrrha said as while they can't fight didn't mean they can't progress the tournament in other ways." Pyrrha said and thus Ren nodded.
"It's not much but its better than nothing." Ren said happy to have a role in this.
"Yeah!" Nora cheered with a smile on her face.
"I'm glad." Atoli said happy to see that they would be able to take part in a small way. "Anyway, I need to head back, my teammates are probably waiting for me." Atoli said which NPR understood.
"It's alright we'll catch up later." Pyrrha said and thus Atoli took her leave of the group.
(Meanwhile over in Vale)
Vale City)
It was a bright and sunny day in the city of Vale as the incident during the docks had been handled and repaired. But in the city a certain Shop was reopening after Ruby had saved it from theft. Currently the old Store Owner was hanging the sign as a man of his age shouldn't be doing that, but someone had to do it. As he worked, he soon began to climb down but before he could get his feet on the floor he slipped and landed hard.
The old man looked up to see a girl with green hair and an adventurer type combat uniform. "Excuse me, sorry I'm not really from around here." The red eyed and brown skinned girl said as she helped the old man up showing she was Emerald. "Would you mind pointing me to the direction of this shop?" She asked as she pulled up a paper with the shops name on it.
The old man nodded as he recognized where the shop was as he then gave the directions.
(Meanwhile)
A young man in a black and grey armored combat suit known as Mercury waited behind a wall as the girl waved to the old man as a thank you as she was walking away and arrived before her alley revealing them to be Emerald and Mercury. "I knew you were lost." Mercury said as he smirked at Emerald before the mentioned girl walked over to the boy as she offered the wallet, she snagged to him.
"Mercury I will seriously pay you to shut up." She said as she held the wallet full of Lien to Mercury.
"That's not your money." Mercury said as the girl looked to Mercury with a small smile.
"But it can be yours for five minutes of silence." Emerald said with a smile hoping Mercury will take her bribe.
"Hmmm no deal." Mercury said after 'thinking about it,' before Emerald growled.
"Fine." She said as she emptied the Wallet of its money and threw it aside before leaving to find the shop they needed to find.
"Whatever you want me." Mercury said as he followed after Emerald.
As the two walked Mercury had to ask as he was following Emerald. "How far is this place anyway?" Mercury asked as he was getting real sick of this place.
"A few blocks." Emerald said Mercury looked.
"Oh, this place is so dull." Mercury said as Emerald had a counter.
"Meh I kind of like it, tall buildings diverse cultures." Emerald trailed off before Mercury cut her off.
"And nice dopey people who are easy to pick pocket." Mercury said as Emerald stopped for a moment.
"That's every city." Emerald said as it was clear Emerald had a better appreciation for big cities then Mercury.
"Oh, Emerald master thief please don't take my money, I barely have enough to get by." Mercury said in a weak mugging victim act which made Emerald growl.
This caused Mercury to sigh as she looked at him. "You're no fun today." Mercury said as he then went to catch up.
(A few Blocks later at a bookstore)
The shop bell chimed as the trio walked in as the duo looked around. Emerald then walked over to the bell as she then rung it to catch the shop owners attention. However, nobody came.
Exchanging confused looks with Mercury, Emerald rang the bell again, but still no response. Deciding to look in the back to sniff their target out themselves, Mercury locked the shop entrance before joining Emerald and walked past the desk and into the back room. Only to stop in their tracks in surprise at what they saw…
Their target, a Faunus man, and the owner of the shop was being held up by his neck by a certain dark blue girl with a sadistic smile on her face. The unusual had a hand wrapping around the man's throat as it looked like the life was being squeezed out of him. Sapphire glanced at the new arrivals for a moment before focusing back on her prey.
"Help… me…" He muttered before Sapphire pulled him closed and with her weapon, she unfurled it behind them man before pulling and decapitating him on the spot.
Though surprised at first, Mercury marched to the girl with a glare. "Hey! This was our job! Don't butt into this!" Mercury pointed his finger at Sapphire who then grabbed it and flipped him over causing him to cry out in pain. She then sent him flying out the backdoor before a crash was heard.
"You bitch!" Mercury cried but Sapphire ignored him.
"You wanna try it too?" Sapphire offered as Mercury was nursing his broken finger.
"Just answer me what you're doing here?" Emerald asked wanting to avoid a confrontation.
"I got bored heard what you two planned and decided to cut in." Sapphire said as she began to skip her way out into the main store while taking a few books for later use. "Tuskon makes kill number 20 this week." Sapphire added causing Emerald and Mercury to go wide eyed over what Sapphire just said.
(Scene Break Beacon Workshop)
Haseo was in the workshop working on his gear and his bike as he was making some modifications to it. Nothing major mind you just to give the accelerator a bit more of a boost. As he worked, he had some goggles on to protect his eyes while he worked. Moving over to the work bench he had a computer set up to monitor his work. Smirking at what he saw he typed in a few commands before he moved over to his daggers and began modifying them as he needed.
"Hey Haseo." Atoli greeted as she, Endrance, and Kuhn walked into the room.
"Hey guys what's going on." Haseo said only for Kuhn to toss him a breakfast muffin.
"Your sisters are in the middle of a food fight, and we bailed when it started." Kuhn said as Haseo smiled a bit.
"I must confess, Haseo." Endrance said with a smile on his face. "It seems that your sisters are certainly a good influence on my own." Endrance said happy that Weiss was coming out of her shell.
"That's great and all but the mess left behind…" Haseo said knowing how his sisters can get. "Still never recovered from the dreaded pillow fight of Patch." Haseo mumbled to himself having a brief flashback of that day.
"So Haseo, what are you doing, putting guns in your bike?" Kuhn asked as he took a chair and rolled over to Haseo's computer.
"Nah this bad boy is mainly for ramming in battle." Haseo said as he has yet to figure out how to install auto guns on his bike without messing up its general system. "Just working on some new attachments." Haseo said while working on his bike.
"From the looks of it, the vehicles seems custom made." Endrance said as he saw the bikes schematics on Haseo's console.
"That's because it is." Haseo said while he worked on his daggers inner gears. "The entire thing is costume made." Haseo said as Kuhn was impressed by this.
"Wow really? Must have cost a fortune?" Kuhn said as he was surprised to hear this.
"Not really, for a few years I worked with this mechanic my dad knew." Haseo said as he paused a bit before getting back to work. "He was real; good at what he did, he helped me build the bike and was the one to build by sisters bike." Haseo said while he worked on his own gear.
"But to use Gravity Dust to keep the bike in a perpetual state of balance while in use I must confess is certainly, is a wonderful plan." Endrance said while his cat Mia jumped from her pack and sat on Endrances shoulder.
"Hey, it works so more power to me." Haseo said with a smirk on his face before he returned to working on his gear and his bike.
"Yes, most certainly." Endrance said as he was truly surprised with how well Haseo's gear was working out here. Though Endrance had a sneaking suspicion that Haseo had used the gas money he paid him during the search through Vale the other day.
(Later that night)
Mercury and Emerald returned to the warehouse that served as their base. There, they saw White Fang agents load and unload crates of Dust onto various forms of aircraft. They soon approached Torchwick, who looked over a map over the kingdom of Vale.
"Oh look, she sent the kids again." Torchwick teased as he jokingly and mockingly put his arms around the pair. "This is turning out just like the divorce." Roman added with a slight mocking tone.
Emerald groaned as she and Mercury pushed him away. "Spare us the thought of you procreating." Emerald said gagging at the mental images.
"That was a joke, and this…just might tell me where you two have been all day." Roman showed the note of the bookstore address that he swiped from Emerald.
"Wha…!?" She checked her pockets to find the note was gone.
"I'm a professional, sweetheart. Pay attention, maybe you'll learn something." He said before he took a good look at the note. "Why do you have this address?" He asked while glaring at the two.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Emerald responded with her own glare.
"Yeah, I would. Now, where have you been all day?" He questioned more aggressively.
"Well, we would be cleaning up your problems…" Mercury began before turning toward the corner to see a certain girl reading some of her stolen books. Her scythe was nearby with fresh blood on it making Emerald a bit worried of where it came from. "But she beat us to the punch." Mercury said putting Sapphire under the bus.
"Is that right." Torchwick followed his gaze towards Sapphire but turned back to the two. "We're not done yet." He said before he turned back and made his way to Ruby's evil double. "Hey, blue! You wanna explain something to me?" Roman called out but Sapphire then looked to him.
"I got bored so I went and had fun." Sapphire said as she then went back to her funny book. "Saw you had a few loose ends to deal with, so I shot two birds with one shot." Sapphire said before giggling to herself over her read. The cover was shown to be the story of the serial killer Sora and knowing Sapphire she was laughing at the scenes of murder.
Look, this is my city! You can't just fly off and kill whoever you want! You gotta…!" Roman began while pointing accusingly at Sapphire before she grabbed his hand. Sapphire smiled at him as her face vanished into her hood, what came next was a demonic screech of pain and agony as there was even a demonic laugh from it. Roman screamed in terror as he then ran away from the demon girl in the warehouse. He then hid behind Emerald as Sapphire returned to her normal state and removed her hood.
"She, she can do whatever." Roman muttered in a fearful stutter as Emerald knew not to look the girl in the face.
"Oh Neo." Sapphire said as she saw Neo was ready to jump in from her hiding spot. "Why not go take care of Roman... and get him some new pants." Sapphire added as Emerald pushed Roman off her.
"I'm telling you that girl is NOT human." Roman cried out as he saw Sapphire was chaos incarnate.
"Now then we're all good here." Sapphire said as she was about to go back to reading when Cinder arrived.
"Sapphire what is the commotion now?" Cinder asked as this was the latest incident that Sapphire was involved with.
"For the love of, I got bored and went on a killing spree and had one of my targets the guy Roman failed to put down." Sapphire said as she gestured to Roman.
"I had it under control!" Roman yelled from behind Neo which prompted Sapphire to glare at him. When he got the glare Roman yelped and hid behind Neo again hoping to stay out of Sapphire's sight.
"A few packed bags and a one-way ticket to Vacuo say otherwise." Mercury countered a bit smug over Roman being terrified of a disturbed girl.
"Mercury and I, decided to take it upon, ourselves to kill the, rat." Emerald added hoping for some praise from Cinder.
"You were not assigned that task. Your hands are supposed to be clean here in Vale." Cinder said to them sternly. "You think we're not on top of the situation regarding the deserters?" Cinder asked as she glared at Emerald.
"N-no… that's not what I meant I just thought…" Emerald stuttered hoping to work around this.
"Don't think, obey." Cinder told Emerald specifically.
"Better idea think and disobey it's much more fun to break the rules." Sapphire said causing Cinder to glare at Sapphire.
"Your constant need for chaos is disrupting our operations." Cinder said recalling what Sapphire did at the docks.
"Yeah, and I should care because?" Sapphire asked causing Cinder to glare at this girl. "I mean even with your power you wouldn't last five minutes against me." Sapphire said taunting Cinder causing her to clench her fists but steel her temper. "Come on Cindy I guess that's all you are all talk, and no bite why not go back as some basement dwelling servant." Sapphire said while walking off and thus Cinder attacked again.
Sapphire saw it coming and side stepped before using her scythe to trip up Cinder. She then moved back and proceeded to double kick Cinder in the back knocking her forward. Cinder then sent a fireball at Sapphire only for the girl to deflect it with her weapon. "Half a maiden is just a maid." Sapphire taunted further as Cinder glared at her.
"I'm done fighting you, you're boring." Sapphire said before moving to her seat. "So, what's next?" Sapphire asked and in turn Cinder growled and regained her self-control.
(Scene Break the next Day Beacon)
An Atlas warship was landing at the sky docks of Beacon as many ships from Atlas flew by. Some would thing Atlas is transporting troops for war but in fact Atlas's academies is joint with the military sense being the strongest military power in the world it was no wonder they were transporting troops as well.
In Ozpin's clock like office, he and Glynda looked at the eye sore in the sly as this was a bit overkill. "Ironwood certainly loves bringing his work with him wherever he travels." Glynda said as she was not pleased especially sense her daughter Sakubo was in Beacon at the moment.
"Well running an academy and the military makes him a busy man. But yes, those are a bit of an eye sore" Ozpin said as he had hoped James would tone done the military fanfare a bit. It was then that the beeping sound on his desk alerted him of a visitor as he already knew who it was. "Come in." He said as the elevator door then opened to reveal a middle-aged man in all white as on his right hand was a white glove.
"Ozpin." The man greeted as Ozpin straightened out.
"Hello general." Ozpin greeted as Ironwood walked to him.
"Please drop the formalities." Ironwood said as he shook Ozpins hand. "It's been too long." Ironwood greeted as he then turned to Glynda. "And Glynda it has certainly been to long sense we last spoke, how is Sakubo doing?" Ironwood greeted as Glynda glared a bit. the tone he used when mentioning Sakubo was almost fatherly in that regard, but Glynda knew better. It was only because Sakubo's position as an Epitaph user was why James was giving notice to the girl now.
"Oh, she's doing wonderful, James." She greeted while giving an update on her daughter's well-being before leaning to Ozpin. "I'll be checking on Sakubo." She said before leaving the room to be close to her daughter.
"Well, she hasn't changed a bit." Ironwood said as he saw this.
"So, what in the world has brought you all the way down from Atlas?" Ozpin said as he walked to his desk and poured some coffee. "Headmasters don't typically travel with their students for the Vytal Festival." Ozpin said as he handed the cup to Ironwood.
"Well, you know how much I love Vale this time of year." Ironwood said as he reached into his coat and pulled out a flask and poured some of its contents into his cup. "Besides with you hosting I thought this might be a good opportunity for us to catch up." Ironwood said as Ozpin looked.
"Well, I can appreciate quality time between friends. However, the small fleet outside my window has me somewhat concerned." Ozpin said as he poured himself some coffee.
"Well Concern is what brought me here." Ironwood began as Ozpin looked seeing that James meant.
"Well, I understand that travel between kingdoms has become increasingly difficult." Ozpin began but Ironwood then spoke up.
"Ozpin you and I both know why I brought those men." Ironwood said as Ozpin drank his coffee.
Ozpin then sighed knowing very well why Ironwood brought his fleet. "We are in a time of peace. Shows of power like this is just going to give off the wrong impression." Ozpin said as Ironwood looked.
"If what Qrow said is true then." Ironwood said only for Ozpin to cut him off.
"If what Qrow said is true then we will handle it tactfully. It's the Vytal Festival time to celebrate unity and peace, so I suggest you not scare people by transporting hundreds of Soldiers halfway across the Continent." Ozpin said as Ironwood had a retort.
"I'm just being cautious." James said as he would rather avoid the possibility of Salem getting her hands on any of the Epitaph Users or anymore Maidens. "We've already lost Autumn and we already have Summer safe here as well as 6 of the 8 phases." James said making it clear they are in a delicate point now.
"I understand truly I do." Ozpin said knowing that James had reasons to be concerned. When Taihaku had sent word to Ozpin about the Summer Maiden and Ovan confirming it Ozpin knew that the maiden had to be protected at all costs. They could not risk the Phases falling into Salem's hands via hosts who would use them for less than pure intent such as the infamous Serial Killer Sora Branwen when he had Skeith. "Which is why we shall continue to train the best Huntsman and Huntresses we can." Ozpin said as Ironwood nodded understanding what Ozpin was saying.
"Believe me I am." Ironwood said before he began leave the office only to stop to look at Ozpin. "But ask yourself this: do you honestly believe your children can win a war?" He asked as Ozpin looked while Ironwood left. Ironwood wanted to see Sakubo the last time he had seen her she was barely big enough to fit in his arms. Sakubo was identified as the holder of Gorre and due to this she was a target and James could not let any harm come to her. So, he had to act he needed to make sure that Sakubo was safe and that included convincing Glynda to let Sakubo stay at Atlas where she will be protected from those who would use her while she learns to master the power of Gorre.
"I hope they never have to." Ozpin said knowing where James was going. Sakubo was the youngest of the identified Epitaph Users and it was only a matter of time before Salem and her forces figure this out as well. Ozpin remembered those days when Salem learned of Aura and Morgana two Gods who came to Remnant and did battle with the brothers before vanishing. Aura's Azure Knights later appeared from time to time most cases when they came after him. Morgana's Epitaphs however were seen semi regularly but never have so many Epitaphs been active at the same time. It was concerning especially when he knew there was more to this war between gods that even Salem had known at the time.
Speaking of the Summer Maiden the door ding once more and not long after someone entered. "Hello Professor." Shino greeted as she looked to Ozpin.
"Ah Shino I suppose you noticed the Atlas fleet outside." Ozpin said as he knew Shino had reason to be concerned.
"Yes sir... sorry but I need to know if my involvement will." She trailed off her voice deep with concern.
"Do not concern yourself, for the time being you're not being forced into hiding." Ozpin began but he also had to remind Atoli of the dangers she was in. "But still, you should consider the option, it's only a matter of time before." Ozpin began but then Shino cut him off.
"I know they're looking for me... but I won't let Amber's attack go unpunished." Shino said knowing that whoever did it will undoubtedly strike again and soon.
(Meanwhile at the Beacon Library)
Meanwhile, Teams RWBY and HAKE were in Beacon's library, with the former team playing the advanced strategy game 'World of Remnant.' Ruby currently played as Atlas, Yang was Mistral, Weiss was Vacuo, and Blake was Vale. Currently it was Ruby's turn as she tried to think of her next move, while Yang eagerly awaited. Weiss looked a bit confused, having some difficulty understanding the game itself, while Blake seemed to have her mind focused on something else at the moment.
"Hmm, alright…" Ruby said as she got a good look at her cards and made her move. "Yang Xiao Long, prepare your kingdom for battle!" Ruby called out issuing her challenge to her big sister.
"Bring it on!" Yang responded as she accepted the challenge.
"I deploy the Atlesian air fleet!" Ruby announced dramatically, causing Yang to gasp in the same fashion. "Looks like I get to fly right over your Ursai and attack your walls directly!" Ruby boasted as she even made sound effects for emphasis.
"You fiend!" Yang proclaimed in dramatic shock over what Ruby did.
"And since Atlas is part of Mantle, my repair-time lasts only one turn." Ruby gloated as her victory was all but assured.
Yang chuckled evilly to this knowing that she had an ace up her sleeve. "Pretty sneaky sis, but you just activated my trap card!" She announced and revealed her ace in the hole, causing Ruby to give a squeaky gasp. "Giant Nevermore!" Yang announced as she slammed her card rather hard on the table. "If I roll a seven or higher, fatal feathers will slice your fleet in two!" Yang said explaining the card, but Ruby knew that card had a drawback.
"But if you roll a six or lower, the Nevermore will turn on your own forces!" Ruby reminded knowing of this, cards fatal drawback.
"That's just a chance I'm willing to take." Yang said with a grin before rolling the dice. Yang however did end up rolling nine, much to Ruby's comic horror. As Yang went on to decimate Ruby in the game, HAKE sat at the table behind them. Haseo was drifting in and out of sleep as Atoli sat next to him reading her own book. Kuhn for his part was reading a comic book while Endrance was tending to Mia the cat.
Back with RWBY, their young leader was comically crying as she pretty much lost the entire game in that one move. "Well Weiss, it's your turn." Yang said turning her attention to Weiss.
"I have… absolutely no idea what's going on." Weiss revealed as she tried to make sense of this.
"Look, it's easy." Yang said as she slid over to her and tried to explain it. "You're playing as Vacuo, which means all of Vacuo-based cards come with a bonus." Yang said explaining how the game works.
"That sounds dumb." Weiss said seeing no joy in this game.
Yang briefly went through Weiss' cards. "See, you've got sandstorm, desert-scavenge… oh, oh resourceful raider! See, now you can take Ruby's discard air fleet…" Yan explained which caused Ruby to cry again at that. "And put it in your hand." Yang said putting the card in question in Weiss' hand.
"Okay…" Weiss said but she was still having trouble following.
"And since Vacuo warriors have an endurance boost against natural hazards, you could use sandstorm to disable my ground forces and simultaneously infiltrate my Kingdom." Yang revealed to the heiress, before pointing at her with a playful scowl. "Just know, I will not forget this declaration of war." Yang said before easing back to her seat.
"And that means…" Weiss began as for some reason, she still couldn't quite figure it out.
"You're just three moves away from conquering Remnant!" Ruby said in comic sobs, still reeling over her loss.
That caused Weiss to laugh like a dictator in humorous fashion. "Yes! Fear the almighty power of my forces! Cower as they pillage your homes, and weep as they take your children from your very arms!" Weiss began but then Yang cut in knowing Weiss fell for her trap.
"Trap card." Yang said with a grin on her face.
"Huh?" Weiss squeaked when she heard those words.
Yang moved the pieces around. "Your armies have been destroyed." Yang announced as she showed off her victory.
Weiss sat down and began to comically sob just like her leader and partner. "I hate this game of emotions we play!" Weiss bemoaned at how Yang played her like that.
Ruby leapt into her arms. "Stay strong, Weiss! We'll make it through this together!" Ruby said as she hugged Weiss close.
"Shut up! Don't touch me!" Weiss cried, while holding Ruby close despite this.
"Alright Blake, you're up." Yang said as she turned towards her partner, which seemed to snap her from her thoughts.
"Huh…? Oh… Um… sorry, what are we doing?" Blake asked as she came back to reality. She had a lot on her mind lately mainly the White Fang, and Roman with Sapphire Thorn being another thought on her head.
"You're playing as Vale, trying to conquer the Kingdoms of Remnant." Yang said as she reminded Blake of the game they were playing at the moment.
"Right…" Blake said, still not appearing to be all there.
"Hey ladies." Kuhn was heard as he approached. "Can I play, nerd hour is still going with HAKE." Kuhn said as he wanted out of studying for a bit.
"Sorry Kuhn we already got four people." Ruby said as she looked over to Kuhn.
"Besides this game has a certain tactical cunning that I seriously doubt you possess." Weiss said to the unrepented flirt.
"Uh you attacked your own naval fleet two turns ago." Yang said which caused Weiss to growl at her.
"Ah Weiss is probably right I'd probably end up screwing her over by accident." Kuhn said not at all bothered by what Weiss said. "Maybe I should see if Haseo will play." Kuhn said but Haseo then was heard from the other table.
"Not interested!" Haseo called out as he never plays that game.
"Yeah, Haseo is like that, he never wants to play with us." Ruby said with an upset tone in her voice.
"H-hi." A familiar voice spoke and looking to it they saw that it was Sakubo but this time the moon on her hat was up while the sun was down. "W-what's going on here?" She asked and before anyone from RWBY could snap at her after being extorted by Saku Kuhn cut in.
"Hey Bo." Kuhn greeted causing the girls to get confused.
"Oh yeah that's right Sakubo has two personalities." Yang said face palming herself over the fact Saku and Bo switch out every so often.
"What are you playing?" Bo asked as she looked to the game.
"Kingdoms of Remnant." Ruby said which Bo looked.
"Can I watch?" She asked and Yang smiled at the adorable kid.
"Eh alright." Yang said as she ruffled her hair.
"As long as she's not blackmailing us again its good." Weiss said allowing for Bo to watch them play.
But before they could continue their game a new voice was heard. "What's up losers." Sun was heard and thus looking they saw that Sun Wukong had arrived.
"Hey Sun." Ruby waved back as she saw the Monkey Faunus.
"Ruby, Yang, Blake, Ice Queen…" Sun said greeting each member of Team RWBY.
"Why does everyone keep calling me that?" Weiss questioned which Kuhn chuckled.
"Trust me you do NOT want to hear why." Kuhn said knowing Weiss would flip if she found out why everyone called her Ice Queen. "So, what brings you here, Sun?" Kuhn asked as he wanted to hear why Sun was here to begin with.
"I never got a chance to formally introduce you to my old friend." Sun responded as he then presented his friend, Neptune Vasilias. He had slightly tanned skin with blue eyes and bright blue hair. He wore a red jacket over a white dress shirt with a black tie with a pair of grey jeans and black shoes. He also had a pair of yellow goggles on his head.
"Uh, aren't libraries for reading?" Neptune asked when he noted the stuff going on.
"Thank you!" Ren pointed out from another part of the library.
"Pancakes!" Nora exclaimed as she sounded like she was waking up herself suggesting that the entire team was here.
"Shut up, don't be a nerd." Sun snapped as he looked to Sun with a look of disappointment.
"Hey it's an Intellectual. Okay? Thank you." He said before he then turned to the group. "I'm Neptune." Neptune introduced himself.
"So, Neptune, where are you from?" Weiss asked as she wanted to hear where Neptune came from.
"Haven." He revealed to the group.
"Oh, so you and Sun are from the same place." Kuhn said as he smiled at the scene. "Cool." Kuhn said with a shrug as he wanted to see what Neptune will do in the Tournament.
"Well, I don't believe I've caught your name, Snow Angel." Neptune walked up toward the heiress, trying to act cool.
"I'm Weiss." Weiss said as she introduced herself formal manner to the young man as Atoli heard this and giggled a bit at the scene.
"A pleasure." Neptune responded to the Schnee Heiress with a smile on her face.
Sun then moved close to Blake. "I never took you for the board-playing type." Sun said speaking to Blake on why she was playing this and if it was fun enough to make her join.
"Right... well I think I'm done playing actually." Blake said before she began to take her leave of the game leaving her cards on the table. As she left Ruby seemed to have a good idea what was on Blake's mind and that also gave her another idea of where she was going.
(Later that Night)
Glynda was glaring at Ironwood as they had met up in the teacher's lounge not too long ago to talk. When Sakubo was mentioned, Glynda was very adamant that they don't discuss this with Sakubo in the area. "So, what did you want to discuss James?" Glynda asked as she glared at the man before her.
"What can't a man ask about his daughter?" James asked trying to be welcoming and open.
"Normally yes but you've hardly showed any interest in her upbringing these past few years." Glynda said knowing exactly what James wanted from her. "How about we skip the formalities and get right to the real reason you're asking about Sakubo." Glynda said as she wanted to truth right now. Though Glynda knew exactly why James wanted to discuss Sakubo and she was going to hold her ground on this.
James sighed knowing how Glynda got when it came to Sakubo. "I think Sakubo should come live with me in Atlas." James said causing Glynda to glare at him. "Please Glynda, hear me out first." James said trying to get Glynda to see his point. "I know Sakubo has one of the Epitaphs and it won't be long until SHE finds out as well." James began but Glynda cut him off.
"Not happening." Glynda said knowing her daughter's mental disability was hard to deal with.
"Glynda, I don't think you understand the risks she is in." James said as she tried to get Glynda to see reason. "At least in Atlas she can be kept safe while she trains to use that power." James said but Glynda was adamant about it.
"No, I understand but I also know a few things." Glynda argued as she glared at James. "First of all, you have no idea how to raise a child with Sakubo's disability, second of all James, the only reason you're even bothering to give her the time of day is because she's and asset, and third of all you would just treat her more as a tool then a person." Glynda argued making it clear that Sakubo was not going anywhere.
"Glynda please." James said trying to do what's best for their people.
"No, she's not going and that is the end of the discussion." Glynda said and in turn she proceeded to storm off. James just sighed knowing Glynda was being difficult about this, but he knows that Salem would not be above brainwashing to get the Epitaph Users and with how young Sakubo is, she'll be prime cut as one of Salem's.
(Scene break RWBY Dorm Room)
Meanwhile over it Team RWBY's dorm room, Blake was on her bed, thinking about what has happen back at the dock area.
'Brothers of the White Fang why are you aiding this scum!?'
'The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business together.'
-sound of fighting within the memory-
Blake felt helpless, she can't do anything to stop the White Fang or help other Faunus out there struggling with the conflict that just being caught in the crossfire, for all she knew they were Joining the White Fang and what was worst she felt something was coming and didn't know to stop it. As she was stuck in her memories trying to think of something, a memory of Headmaster Ozpin were talking.
(Flashback)
Blake was sitting in a chair in front of the headmaster as he carried his cane in with his normal cup of coffee.
"Well, this has certainly been and eventful evening," Ozpin said as he just gotten reports at what happen at the dock.
As Blake look up to her headmaster as he sat down and said, "I'm sure that after a night of thwarting attempted robbery you probably just want to go home and take a nap, but... I was hoping that maybe we could have a chance to talk."
"O-of course," Blake said as she wanted to get through this interview without ousting herself.
"Wonderful, as you know, in order to enroll at my academy, students must first pass a rigorous entrance exam." Ozpin stating a fact coming to his school is no easy task. "Most applicants spend years of preparation training at one of many combat schools around the world... You are one of the few who did not," Ozpin said as he took a sip of his coffee. Blake gave a look trying to figure out where Ozpin was going with this as he went on after taking a sip saying, "And you passed the exam with flying colors."
"I was raised outside the kingdoms. If you can't fight, you can't survive," Blake spoken about the harshness most anything from outside the kingdom would know as it wasn't a total lie being as she was from Menagerie.
"Well, you have most certainly Survived, Blake." Ozpin pointed out the one good thing that has happen, maybe something else as well as he was fully aware of this fact.
"I admire your drive. And I am proud to run a school that accepts individuals from all walks of life." Ozpin pick up his coffee to his lip before he could sip, he said, "Rich, poor, human…" Taking his sip and then said, "Faunus."
Blake in turn frowned at that but it couldn't be helped as the headmaster set down his mug as he asked, "Why do you wear that bow, Blake? Why hide who you are?"
Blake kind of snaps at the headmaster, to what she said right away, "You may be willing to accept the Faunus, Professor Ozpin, but your species is not." Proven many times by Winchester when he was picking on Velvet, if only she could stand up for herself but too afraid it could hurt her race more than anything.
"True... but we are continuing to take strides to lessen the divide," Ozpin do care about all life of this world of human and Faunus.
"With all due respect, you need to start taking some larger strides..." Blake seem to be demanding, Ozpin to do more than he could and then settle down as she stated, "Until then, I'd rather avoid any unnecessary attention."
"I want people to see me for who I am... Not what I am," Blake still could let her secret of a Faunus be let out in the open yet, even if her friends, and Team HAKE knew, she still don't want it to be let out.
"And what are you?" Ozpin throw a curve ball at Blake as she blink for a moment and said, "I- I don't understand what you're asking."
"How did you know that the White Fang would be at the shipyard tonight?" Ozpin asked, as he may read the report, but he does want to hear Blake side the story.
"I didn't... I just happened to be at the right place at the right time," To what Blake said is true, as she, Sun, and Endrance went off of a hunch and rumor, it was at the right place and time.
"You wouldn't have been the first... But what happened tonight was not an isolated incident. I may be your headmaster, but I am also Huntsman, and it is my sworn duty to protect this world from the forces that conspire against it." Ozpin said as stood up to make his point clear. "Blake… Are you sure there is nothing else you would like to tell me?" Ozpin wanted to know what happen as there are still dark area in the report he read.
"I'm sure." Blake said as she made it clear she knew nothing even if it was a lie.
Ozpin look closely into Blake's eyes and saw a lie… but he cannot force people to tell as that would go against everything he does and for reason as well as he said, "Very well."
Reach for his mug and cane as he picks them up and said, "Thank you for your time, Ms. Belladonna."
Ozpin got out of his chair and to the exit of the room as he said, "If you ever need to talk to me..." Blake narrows her eyes to the headmaster as she did not want to talk anymore as he did get the picture and said, "Please don't hesitate to ask."
Ozpin left the sound of a door opening, as Blake snap out of her memories.
(End of flashback)
Blake blink and turn to the dorm door as Yang, Ruby and Weiss walked in. "Gauh should never had let him play." Yang said as Ruby laughed at Yang's loss.
"You just mad because the new guy also beat you." Ruby said remembering Sun's teammate Neptune. "See if you would have just attacked him when I told you none of this would have happened." Ruby said as Weiss turned to Blake who was at the door.
"Stop." Weiss said pointing at Blake as the Faunus almost had her hand on the doorknob. "Lately you've been quiet antisocial and moody." Weiss said as Yang looked.
"Uh have you met Blake?" Yang asked as Weiss looked.
"Which I get is kind of your "Thing." Weiss said as Blake turned to her. "But you've been doing it more than usual, which quite frankly in unacceptable." Weiss said as she wasn't done. "You made a promise to me, to all of us, that you would let us know if something was wrong." Weiss said as soon she pulled a 160. "So, Blake Belladonna! What! Is! Wrong!" Weiss called as she pointed at Blake from above only to show she was balancing on a chair which was only its back two legs.
Weiss then gained a thoughtful look before using speed and putting the chair back where it belonged before returning to the group.
Blake closed her eyes to gain her cool as she looked at the group. "I just... I don't understand how everyone can be so calm." Blake said as the trio looked to their teammate.
"You're still thinking about Torchwick?" Ruby asked as she wanted to help but she needed to know how.
"Torchwick, the White Fang, all of it! Something big is happening and no one is doing anything about it!" Blake called out as Yang put in her two cents.
"Ozpin told us not to worry. Between the police and the Huntsman, I'm sure they can handle it." Yang said as she tried to get Blake to go against finding them.
"Well, I'm not! They don't know the White Fang like I do." Blake said as she put her foot down letting them know exactly what was bothering her.
"Ok between blowing up nightclubs, stopping thieves, slaying demons from Hell, and fighting for freedom, I'm sure the three of you think your all, ready to go out and apprehend these ne'er-do-wells..." Weiss began as Ruby was left confused by that bit.
"But let me once again be the voice of reason... We're students. We're not ready to handle this sort of situation." Weiss said as Ruby had wanted to argue against this.
"Well yeah but-" Ruby began only for Weiss to cut her off.
"We're not ready!" Weiss yelled as Blake had an argument.
"And we may never be ready! Our enemies aren't just going to sit around and wait for graduation day! They're out there, somewhere, planning their next move, and none of us know what it is, but it's coming. Whether we're ready or not." Blake said as that was all Ruby needed to hear as she looked to them.
"Ok. All in favor of becoming the youngest huntresses to single-handedly bring down a corrupt organization conspiring against the Kingdom of Vale... say I." Ruby said as she put a hand up as she was going to do this.
"Yes! I love it when you're feisty" Yang called out with a grin as the last part was directed torts Blake.
"Well, I suppose it could be fun." Weiss said with her arms crossed.
"None of you said "aye." Ruby said sadly as she looked away.
"Alright then... We're in this together." Blake said as Ruby looked back.
"Let's hatch a plan." Ruby said as Yang smiled.
"Yeah!" Yang called out before Ruby went wide eyed and gasp as if she realized something.
"I left my board game in the library!" Ruby cried out as she remembered this hunt as Weiss was annoyed.
"We're doomed." Weiss said as this was not starting off as well as she would have hoped.
Ruby then ran outside to head to the library get her game. "I'll be right back!" Ruby called as she ran only to bump into someone in the hall.
"Ah… sorry," Ruby said as he look and asked, "Are you okay?" The person she bumped into reach down a hand, as that person said, in an arrogant tone as they said, "I'm fine. Just watch where you're going."
Ruby looked at the people in front of her as she sees Mercury and Emerald standing there. Emerald helped Ruby to her feet as she looked to her. "Oh, right sorry." Ruby apologized as Ruby looked to them seeing they all had the same Haven uniform on. "I'm Ruby. Are you new?" Ruby asked after introducing herself.
"Visiting from Haven actually." Cinder said as she approached the group. Ruby looked at Cinder's eyes as she swore, they looked familiar somehow. But then Ruby then figured out something as she said, "Ooooh! You're here for the festival! Oh, but exchange students have their own dormitory."
"I guess we just got turned around," Mercury said as he looked to Ruby saying it in an almost cocky manner.
"Oh, don't worry happens all the time." Ruby said as she let Mercury and Emerald walk past her. "Uh your building is just east of here." Ruby said as she gave the directions.
"Thanks maybe we'll see you around." Cinder said as she walked past them.
"Yeah maybe." Ruby said as the trio walked off. "Oh, and welcome to Beacon." Ruby said but as Cinder walked away the girl simply smirked evilly over her plans coming to fruition.

ESKK: Well, here we are the first chapter of Season 2 I hope you all liked it. Anyway, before we continue there is a few things I'd like to say I've recently started playing Mass Effect yeah, I know late to the party. I originally avoided playing it because of a few reasons, couldn't afford it, felt it was overhyped, too many stuffs about it, and yadayadayada. So recently I gave it a shot and honestly, I was actually surprised. I might play more of it and who knows it might even be added to my fanfic stores later. Anyway, you all know the drill leave a review before leaving and as always folks, ja-ne.
