When the lines of a friendship become blurred, jealousy arises and consequences can be far-reaching. This story is for a mature audience. It will be a multi-chapter fic and a bit of a slow burner, with angst aplenty. The narrative will eventually include some very dark and sensitive themes (not graphic), so I will apply trigger-warnings on a chapter-by-chapter basis as necessary.

This germinated as an almost meta idea, as I wondered what it would be like for younger versions of Monica and Chandler to each encounter the fully mature, wise incarnation of their true love. Chandler, at his lowest point upon his parents' divorce, and Monica, dealing with fat-shaming and high school bullying. Please read, review and enjoy! "I know you. I know you. I know you..."

As I said in the previous story, I wanted to explore Chandler's personality if different circumstances had surrounded him in his life, what his personality and his life would be like starting from the same parents and the same events experienced in his childhood until the divorce at the age of 9. This is what this new story is about. And as always there is a Mondler sooner.
