Hello there! Another new story from me! PuzzleMaster1998!
It's Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer!
I love Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer! All of the specials, songs, stories, and movies/specials! I love them!
This one doesn't focus on just one movie or special. It kindof combines several of them, in a way.
There will be genderbending, harems, and singing in this story, as well as many other things.
Disclaimer: Rudolph is owned by Robert Lewis May and others, like Rankin/Bass and Goodtimes Entertainment. Not me.
Now, let's begin!
What Did The Human Do?
It was a warm sunny mid-spring day in the city of Graihull, Missouri, with very few clouds dotting the sky.
Towards the outside of the city was the street Winter Passage, on which sat the Open Heart Home. This orphanage was a tall two-story red brick building with a grey shingle roof, a small garage sitting next to the building, a short stone walkway leading to the front steps, a red and blue mailbox with the numbers "198" on it, and a sign with the words "Open Heart Home" on it along with a phone number underneath it.
Walking up the walkway to the front steps was a 17-year-old human boy with lightly tanned skin, light brownish blonde hair, and bright blue eyes. He stood 6 foot 1 1/2 inches tall, and was wearing a black shirt with a fox on it, blue shorts, white socks, grey and silver sneakers, and a leather necklace with a fox and cat made of some sort of purple stone or gem as the centerpiece.
The boy let out a happy sigh as he walked up the front steps and stepped onto the porch, reaching a hand out to grab the doorknob. "It's good to be home," he said as he opened the door and stepped inside.
As he shut the door behind him, he called out, "I'm home Miss Mullen!"
"Good," Miss Mullen said as she walked out of the kitchen. "How was school Gavin?"
Miss Mullen was a 5-foot 6 inch tall, 43-year-old anthro cow with brown fur all over her body. She also had a somewhat large chest and udder, a pair of short white horns, and had bright blue eyes. She was wearing a bright pink t-shirt with yellow flowers on it and white shorts that had a large pouch for her udder. A black apron was tied around her waist with some flour on it. She was the current owner of the orphanage.
"Eh, it was alright," Gavin replied. "How was your day? Any potential adopters come in?" He asked as he entered the kitchen with her.
"A few did come in today," She said as she walked over to a bowl filled with dough and began to tear it into smaller balls. "Ashley and Michael might be getting new families soon."
"Well that's good," Gavin replied with a smile. "Well, I'm going to go up to my room to relax. Already did all my homework."
"Alright Gavin," Miss Mullen answered as he left the kitchen and headed towards some stairs. 'He's such a good boy,' She though with a smile as she set the small balls of dough on a nearby cookie sheet. 'We're going to miss him when he leaves.'
Meanwhile, Gavin sighed as he reached his room and stepped into it, shutting the door behind him and locking it before he took off his backpack.
"Man, what a day," he said as he set his backpack on his small bed before he headed over to his small wooden desk. As he sat down, he winced as he felt a bruise on his back hit a corner on his chair. "Yeah, they got some good hits on me," He muttered as he leaned forward a bit, sighing with relief as the pressure on the bruise went away. "But hey, at least they got caught."
The "They" he was talking about was a group of anthros at his high school who didn't like how the only human in the world was in their school and/or grade. And they didn't like that he was graduating rather earlier than they were. The anthros regularly bullied him by knocking him over when he was walking down the hallway with his things, smashing his face into his food at lunch, and calling him what they thought were horrible names, like "baldy" and "white face," although teachers and other students would stop them when they could. And he wasn't offended at all by the names. In fact, he found them to be funny.
But it seemed the group's days of bullying were numbered, as earlier that day, when the bullies had started to harass Gavin outside the school as he started to leave, the cops and the bullies' parents pulled up. It turned out that the principal and teachers had been talking with other students and their parents and had decided to take legal action. The bullies had all been charged with assault and were now sitting in jail, while their parents talked with the cops and the school to work things out.
He didn't know how things were going to go, but based on how mad the parents of the bullies looked when they'd arrived at the school and with how the cops had been talking, he figured that they weren't going to be acting the same when they got back.
As he smiled at that, there was a knock on the door, catching his attention. "Who is it?" He asked.
"It's me, Kwis," A young male voice said, making him smile a bit as he got up and walked over to the door to unlock it.
Once it was unlocked, the door opened, and a 5-year-old male moose walked in. He had very long legs for his age, and had dark brown fur covering his skinny body, as well as dark blue eyes. He was wearing a light blue short-sleeve shirt and matching shorts, and holding a piece of paper in his hand.
"Hey Kris," Gavin said upon seeing the young moose. "What's that you got there?"
"Wetter to Santa," Kris replied as he walked into his room. "Could you wite it fow me?"
"'A letter to Santa?' But Christmas just happened," He said to the moose with a surprised chuckle, who nodded.
"I know. I just want to be weally weady," Kris replied, making Gavin chuckle a bit.
"Alright Kris," Gavin said as he walked over to his desk and sat down, before taking his paper and pulling out a pen. "What do you want me to write?"
"Deaw Santa," Kris began, prompting Gavin to start writing. "This is Kwis. I would wike a bicycle fow Cwhistmas this year, pwease. I want a bwue one, with a gowden bell and a big staw on it. And without twaining wheels. Thank you Santa!"
"Alright, anything else?" He asked Kris as he finished writing it down.
"No," Kris replied with a shake of his head.
"Well then, here you go," Gavin said as he handed the written letter to Kris. "One letter for Santa. Just sign it and we can mail it."
"Thank you, Gavin," Kris replied, before he tilted his head. "Gavin, why don't you wite Santa a wetter? That way, my wetter doesn't get wonewy when it goes to Santa today."
At that, Gavin chuckled again for a couple seconds, before he nodded. "Alright, I'll write him a letter. Why don't you go get an envelope and stamp for us while I write?"
"Awight," Kris replied with a nod and smile, before he left the room, while Gavin chuckled yet again.
"A letter getting lonely. Heheh! That's funny," he replied with a shake of his head, before he grabbed another piece of paper and started to write on it, only to pause after writing the words "Dear Santa" on it. "But what should I say?" he muttered to himself, before humming in thought. "Hmmmm."
Then, he smiled as he got an idea. A rather odd one. "Eh, it wouldn't hurt to ask," he said as he resumed writing. "Probably won't get an answer about it though." After several minutes passed, he'd finished writing, and then Kris came running into the room with an envelope in his hand.
"Weady Gavin?" Kris asked him, his letter already in the envelope.
"Mhm! I'm ready Kris," he replied as he took the envelope and put his letter in it, before he sealed it. The address was already on it, having been written by Kris under the direction of Miss Mullen, as was the stamp. "Now then, let's go put this in the mailbox."
"Yeah!" Kris said excitedly, making Gavin smile at him as he got up, before he followed the young moose out of the room and down the hallway. They then went down the stairs, with Kris sliding down the banister while holding Gavin's hand, before they headed to the front door.
Once they reached it, they stepped outside, before Kris ran over to the red mailbox at the end of the walkway and opened it, flicking up the blue flag on its side as he did so. "Come on! Put it in!" Kris said excitedly as Gavin walked down the walkway, causing him to chuckle.
"Alright, Kris," he said as he set the letter into the mailbox, before Kris shut the door, a large smile on his face. "Okay then, it's ready to go!"
"Yay!" Kris replied happily as he jumped up and down. "Good wuck wetter!" he said to the mailbox, before he grabbed Gavin's hand. "Thank you Gavin!"
"You're welcome Kris," The human said to the moose with a smile as the two started to walk back to the house. "Now then, was there anything else you wanted me to help you with?"
"Could you pway with me and Bwyce?" Kris asked him. "We wanna pway catch!"
"Sure!" Gavin replied happily as they headed inside. "I'd be happy to play with you!"
Once they were gone, a bright light started to shine from within the mailbox, illuminating the small cracks between the door and the mailbox itself. No one noticed this of course, because it was sunny outside. And they weren't looking at the mailbox either. After several seconds had passed, the light disappeared, while the flag on the mailbox fell down quickly.
At the North Pole…
In a room that was rather large and blue in color, with gentle green trim and swirls on the walls, several metal chutes sat in the walls, with their openings located above large sacks that had different country names on them. Very few letters were falling out of these chutes into the bags, as Christmas had just happened two months ago, with about ten letters having fallen from the chutes in the last forty-five. Standing and sitting around the room were anthro white-furred arctic foxes, both male and female. Their body shapes ranged from skinny to chubby, and from 3 foot 3 inches tall to 5 foot even. Their outfits consisted of dark blue short-sleeved shirts, dark blue shorts, and dark blue hats that had a white envelope on the front. Some of the females also had dark blue bands on their tails to keep the fluff from being a problem.
As they stood and sat there, drinking hot cocoa and sucking on candy canes, with one female fox giving a male coworker a very lewd look, a letter fell from a chute labeled "United States: Midwest."
"Another early bird," A male fox with blue eyes, a skinny 3 foot 9 inch tall body, and a candy cane in his mouth said as he got up and reached into the bag, before grabbing the envelope and pulling it out. "Okay, it's from Missouri," He muttered as he looked at the address, before he grabbed a tool from the nearby counter that looked a lot like a wireless barcode scanner, except it was red, green, white, and blue in color, with a bright green screen on the back of it. He then aimed the scanner at the letter, and pulled the trigger, causing green rays to shoot out and run over the envelope. "Huh, so there's two letters in this," he said as the screen put up the information it had pulled. "Alright then. Let's see who they're from," he continued as he set the scanner down, before he took a gold letter opener and opened the envelope. He then pulled out the two letters and unfolded them, before humming as he looked at them. "Okay, so this letter's from Kris," he continued as he moved the letter to the side, setting it inside a box in the "K" section, before he turned his attention to the other letter. "And this one's from-" He then let out a loud gasp as he stared at the signature on the letter, eyes widening greatly. "Gavin Woodring!"
"What?!" Several of the other foxes said, with one spilling their hot chocolate onto themselves with surprise. Another started to choke on their candy cane, with a coworker slapping them on the back of the head and neck to dislodge it.
"Let me see Bryan!" Another male fox said as he stepped forward, the other foxes crowding around the male fox as he held the letter. Bryan then showed the male fox the letter, and he gasped. "It is! I know that handwriting! It's from him!" He continued as he looked at the somewhat messy signature.
"Let me see!" A female fox said as she reached for the letter.
"No, let me!"
"No, me!"
"That's enough guys!" Bryan replied as he grabbed a small file from nearby that was red in color, with gold writing on it that read "Gavin Woodring." He then set the letter inside it and shut the file, before he turned around, holding the file close as he started to move through the crowd. "I'm taking this to the boss."
"Awwwwwww," the entire crowd said with disappointment as he stepped through them, before reaching a tall blue door, which opened as he approached it.
"See you guys later!" Bryan said to them as he stepped out of the door and into the large hallway. He then started to head down it, an excited look on his face.
As he did so, he passed by other foxes and some anthro rabbits, who he waved to in greeting, keeping the file close to him as he did so. Some of them noticed what he was carrying, and their eyes widened, before they started to whisper to each other.
Soon, he reached the end of the hallway, and made a right at the fork, heading down another one rather quickly, before arriving at a tall red door and knocking on it.
A bright and cheery female voice that sounded rather jolly spoke from inside, saying, "It's open!" Bryan then breathed in and out a couple times, before he stepped through the doors and into a large red, gold, and green colored office. "Ah, Bryan, good to see you," The female voice said, coming from a large red chair that was currently facing away from him from behind a tall reddish-brown desk
The chair then turned around, revealing its occupant. Said occupant was a 10 foot 6 inch tall female Polar bear who had pure white fur all over her body, a large coal black nose, a rather large gut, and gray eyes. A red short sleeve shirt clung to her prodigious chest, while a pair of red suspenders held up a pair of red and gold trousers on her legs and waist. A small set of gold-rimmed round reading glasses sat on her snout. "What brings you here today?" The bear asked him with a smile.
"Santa, Gavin Woodring wrote us another letter," Bryan replied before he held up the file to the bear, who smiled as she took it and opened it up, revealing the letter inside.
"Ah, wonderful," Santa said as she looked at the letter, before smiling even more upon reading it, eyebrows arching high. "Mmm," She hummed and then deeply chuckled as she reread it a couple of times, before she lowered it and looked at Bryan. "Bryan, I need you to go get the reindeer, and bring them here quickly," she continued. "And let Krampus know to come as well. Once you are done, you can go home."
"Yes ma'am!" Bryan replied with a firm nod, a shiver running down his spine upon hearing that last name. 'Why does she need to come?' He thought, before he turned around and started to walk away, while Santa looked down at the letter in her hand and chuckled again.
"Ah, Gavin, you have surprised me yet again," She said with a large smile as Bryan left. "Very much this time. Very much," She repeated with yet another laugh.
"Alright, so get the reindeer, and then get her," Bryan said to himself as he walked down the hallway and made a right at the fork. "Why does she need to come?" He questioned again, rounding a corner and heading towards a set of tall red and gold doors, with a large green button surrounded by gold sitting in the wall next to it. "She never gets involved with letters this time of year," He muttered, before he reached the doors and pressed the button.
About ten seconds went by, before a firm "Jingle!" rang out, with the doors opening to reveal a large red carpeted elevator compartment that had gold rails on it, with a gentle female voice saying something, but he wasn't really paying attention to it. A large glass window sat opposite the doors, with a red wall being the only thing visible beyond it currently. "Actually," Bryan said with an arched eyebrow as he stepped into the elevator and turned his head to look at the dark green buttons on the right side, of which there were at least twenty. "I don't think I've ever even heard of her getting involved with letters," He continued as he pressed a button that read "The Stables," causing the elevator doors to close before it started to move to the right.
As it did so, it started to pick up speed, while the window began to show a beautiful view of a somewhat large village located below where the elevator was. White smoke could be seen from some of the chimneys that topped each building in the village, while the sun shined down, making the snow-covered rooftops glisten.
"So, whatever Gavin put in the letter must be really important," He said, before huffing with frustration. "Man! If only I'd read what was on that letter before I put it in that file!" He continued with a frown. All elves who worked the mailroom were trained to search for signatures and sort the letters by name and country, not read the contents of the letters. That was for Santa to do.
As he stood there, his hands folded behind his back, he felt the elevator start to slow down, while a gentle female voice said "Arriving at Gift Wrapping 1. Please hold on." "Please don't let there be too many stops," He quietly pleaded as the elevator slowed and slowed, before it eventually came to a stop, with the doors then quickly opening.
"You have arrived at Gift Wrapping 1. Please enjoy your time here," The voice said as two foxes wearing red and green stripped clothes and hats with wrapped presents on them stepped into the elevator, one male and one female.
The male was rather short, being only 3 foot 3 inches tall, and was quite chubby. In his arms was a box of candy canes and chocolates.
The female was taller than both of them, standing around 4 foot 8 inches, and she was rather lithe, her waist a bit narrow and belly flat. In her hands was a large tablet, which she was looking at intently while she pressed a button labeled "Train station 1."
"Afternoon Bryan!" The male fox said as he chewed on the sweets and the doors closed, his voice sounding rather friendly and deep.
"Afternoon Bryan," The female fox said with a somewhat tired-sounding voice as she ran her finger across the screen, while they started to move towards the right again, going up as well. "What brings you this way today?"
"Oh, I just gotta get the reindeer, Drizella," Bryan replied, a smile creeping across his face.
"Why?" The chubby male asked his coworker with a curious and confused look on his face as he stuffed another handful of chocolate in his muzzle. "Does someone need to be rescued?"
"Brock, you idiot," Drizella said with a shake of her head. "If someone needed to be rescued, he wouldn't be taking the elevator! He'd be using the Emergency PA system!"
"My bad! My bad!" Brock replied as he held a paw up in defense, dropping a candy cane or two on the floor next to the crumbs of already eaten ones. "I forgot we have that system," He continued as he bent down with some difficulty and grabbed the fallen candy cane, before stuffing it in his mouth.
"Well, maybe if you paid more attention to your surroundings and less on what's going into your mouth, you'd remember," Drizella replied with a huff and roll of her eyes. "Bryan, why are you getting the reindeer?" She asked as the elevator started to go left and continued to go up.
"Oh, Santa wants them for some reason," Bryan answered with a shrug. "Probably has something to do with Gavin Woodring's letter that came in today."
"SPFFFFTTT!"
All of the food that was in Brock's mouth vacated it like a cannonball from a cannon as his eyes widened with shock, while Drizella nearly dropped the tablet.
"What did you say?!" Drizella exclaimed as she held the tablet in her arms and looked at him with wide eyes, while Brock wiped his mouth, his spat-out food dripping from the door down to the floor.
"A letter from Gavin Woodring arrived today, about half an hour or so ago," Bryan replied with a smile. "Received it and examined it myself," he continued, puffing up his chest a little. "It was legitimate."
"Holy bells!" Brock exclaimed. "Another letter from that human! What did it say?!" He asked Bryan eagerly.
"…I don't know," Bryan replied with a heavy sigh as the elevator stopped ascending and started to descend, all while still going left. "I didn't look."
"What?!" Drizella said with shock. "You're telling us that when you saw his signature and realized that the letter was from the only human in existence, you didn't read what he'd written?!"
"It's not my place to read it!" Bryan replied firmly, raising his voice as he looked at Drizella. "It's not my place," He repeated. "And besides, when I said it was Gavin's and confirmed it, everyone in the mail room wanted a look. I had to put it up, or else it'd have gotten damaged," He continued. "So I didn't read it."
Upon hearing that, Brock and Drizella sighed. "I see," Brock replied sadly. "So, you don't know anything about the letter?"
"All I know is that I need to let the reindeer know to go to Santa's office soon," Bryan answered him calmly. "And I need to let her know to go as well."
"'Her?'" Brock and Drizella repeated with confusion.
"Which 'her?!'" Brock continued. "There's like two hundred and somethin women in the area!"
"Yeah, which 'her' are you talking about?" Drizella asked Bryan, who gave her a somewhat uneasy look.
"Well, um, you know, the one who's, um, a bit scary," He replied.
"A scary girl? There's dozens of those!" Brock exclaimed. "Actually, every girl here can be scary!" He continued, before he was smacked on the back of the head by Drizella's free hand. "Ouch!" he whined as Drizella frowned at him. "Sorry!" He said as he rubbed his head with a hand.
"I am not and cannot be scary!" Drizella said to him firmly, a glint in her eyes, before she turned to Bryan. "Stop beating around the bush, and tell us who you're talking about!" She growled.
"Alright!" Bryan replied quickly, feeling a shiver run down his spine as she glared at him. 'Scary!' "I have to get…Krampus," he said quietly.
"Krampus!" the two exclaimed with shock.
"You have to get Krampus?!" Brock exclaimed, with Bryan nodding in response, prompting him to start stuffing his mouth with food again to prevent himself from screaming.
"Why in the world do you have to get her?!" Drizella said with shock and utter confusion.
"I don't know," Bryan replied with a shrug. "But I'm not looking forward to it."
"Arriving at The Stables. Please hold on," The female voice in the elevator said as Brock and Drizella stared at him with shock, fear, and confusion in their faces. They could feel the elevator slowing down, and soon, the elevator came to a stop. "You have arrived at The Stables. Please enjoy your time here," The voice said as the doors slid open, prompting Bryan to speak again.
"Well, this is my stop," He said with a sigh. "I'll see you two later, alright?" He continued as he stepped out of the elevator.
"A-Alright," Drizella replied slowly as he waved to them, before the doors closed and the elevator started to move away, with her and Brock still staring at him as it went.
"Well then," he said as he turned around and started to walk away from the elevator lobby, heading towards a large hallway. "Better get the reindeer," he continued as he entered the hallway.
Said hallway was very tall, with the ceiling being at least 13 feet high, and was about 12 feet wide. The walls were a dark brown color, and were made of smooth wood, just like the floor, which was covered in a dark red rug that had white borders, with golden swirling arcs, curves, leaves, and lines running all across it in a repeating pattern. On the walls hung various picture frames, as well as some other objects.
As he walked, he passed by a large open doorway that was lit up, and paused upon hearing the sound of some pots being moved inside it. "Guess some of them might be in there," He said, before he walked over to the doorway and stuck his head inside. "Hey!" he said upon seeing a couple of the reindeer inside, catching their attention. "Santa wants you in her office now," He continued, before he turned and started to walk away down the hall again.
As he did so, he could hear them questioning why Santa needed them. 'I wonder that too girls. I wonder that too,' He thought as he walked, reaching a dark brown door that was shut. He then reached up and pulled it open, revealing a laundry room.
Upon seeing that no one was in it, he shut the door, and continued to walk, soon reaching another door, behind which the sound of grunting and fast moving hoofsteps could be heard. He then pulled open the door, causing the noises to get louder, and spoke. "Hey!" He said, before frowning when they didn't look at him. "Hey! HEY!" He bellowed, prompting the sounds to stop. "Santa wants to see you in her office now," He continued. "And I mean now."
He then shut the door, and quickly went on his way. He would have been a bit more polite, but he felt like he needed to hurry. About ten seconds or so later, he reached the end of the hallway, and entered a large living room. A space movie of some sort was playing on the TV, and the lights were out, with the curtains drawn closed as well. He reached over to the light switch, and flicked it on, causing light to fill the dark room. "Santa needs you in her office right away," He said to the occupants of the room, before he turned and went down a hallway off to the left of the room.
The hallway he was now going down matched the previous one, but it had more doors on either side of it. He walked past a couple, before he went up to one and knocked on it hard.
"KNOCK!KNOCK!KNOCK!"
"Donner, I got a message from Santa!" Bryan said as he finished knocking, raising his voice as he spoke. "It's important!" He continued, rapping his knuckles two more times.
About seventeen seconds went by, before he heard the door unlock, and it then opened up a bit. "Santa needs you at her office now," He said to Donner, before he turned and walked over to another door.
He then knocked on it a few times, and said, "Open up Dancer!"
About twenty seconds went by, with no response at all, prompting him to knock harder on the door. "Hey! Open up!" He yelled, before he started beating fists on the door when he got no response. "Turn off that music and get out here!"
A few seconds later, he heard the lock quickly turn, before the door was flung open, revealing Dancer.
"Sorry! I was just-"
"Doesn't matter! You're out now," Bryan replied, cutting her off firmly. 'I swear, we need to install an alarm to get her attention when she's dancing,' He thought to himself. "Santa wants to see you and the others in her office now," He continued, before he turned and walked over to another door diagonally across the hall, while hoofsteps were heard behind him, along with the shutting of a door.
He reached a hand up to knock on the door, but it opened before he could do so, revealing Cupid.
"Ah, Cupid. Santa wants to see you and the others in her office now," Bryan said to the reindeer, who nodded before she went back into her room. "And that just leaves two now," He said to himself as he walked over to the next door, and knocked on it. "Vixen! You're needed!" he continued as he knocked.
About ten seconds went by, before the door opened, with blue smoke coming out, prompting him to step back a bit. Then, he saw Vixen looking at him through the smoke.
"Sorry Vixen," He said to her with a somewhat sheepish expression on his face as she stared flatly at him, glitter all over her face and neck. "Santa needs you in her office now," He said, before he turned and started to head down the hallway. "And don't be late!" he called back before a door slammed shut. 'Man, she really needs to install something to let us know when she's practicing magic,' He thought as he walked on. 'It would help her not make so many mistakes.'
Soon, he reached another elevator lobby, and stepped into the waiting elevator, before he reached out and pressed a black button labeled "Krampus' office" in jagged white letters. "And now, I just have to get her," He said with a shiver of fear running down his spine as the elevator doors closed, before it started to move down. "Oh boy," He muttered as the elevator went down, and down, and down, and down, with the window now showing red metal walls outside.
As the elevator descended, it started to move to his right a bit, and it sped up a little.
'Can't believe I have to get her,' He thought as the elevator started to move forward as well, heading in the same direction as Santa's office. 'Why does she need to come?' He questioned yet again as the elevator sped up some more, before it leveled out, stopping its descent. The window now showed darkness, sending another shiver down his spine. The atmosphere had changed as well. Up above, everything was warm, and friendly, and freeing.
But down here, it was unfriendly, depressing, and dark.
"Please hurry up so I can get this over with!" Bryan muttered as he looked up at the elevator as it sped up yet again, prompting him to grab onto the railing and hold it tight.
"Arriving at Krampus' Office soon. Please hold on," The female voice said, it getting a bit heavier in tone as the elevator continued to move at a rather high speed.
A few minutes went by, with little orange lights passing by in the window, before the elevator started to quickly slow, sending him forward. If he hadn't been holding onto the railing, he would have smashed his whole body against the doors.
"You have arrived at Krampus' Office. Please enjoy your time here," The voice said as the elevator came to a stop with a slight jerk, before the doors slid open, revealing a somewhat small elevator lobby with two hallways leading away from it.
Bryan peeked his head out of the doorway, before he stepped forward, feeling rather tense. The lobby was somewhat dark, with burning torches hanging from sconces on the walls. The walls were made of carved stone, and the floors were bare stone.
"O-O-Okay, j-just gotta get to her office, and give her the message," He said to himself as he headed towards the left hallway, which had a black metal sign on it with the word "Office" carved in it. "I'll be fine," He continued as he entered the hallway.
The hallway he was in was quite tall, being about 13 feet high, and 13 feet wide. Its walls were bare of decorations, minus the sconces holding torches, and it was quite short, with him reaching the end of it in about five minutes.
And sitting at the end of it was a very large wooden door. It was made of pitch black wood and had a pair of long horns carved into it, with the horns curving down at the bases gently before eventually sweeping upwards into sharp points that curved slightly inwards. A set of five scratch marks sat below the horns, having been made by something with very, very sharp claws. The handle to the door was round, twisted like a horn, and was blood red in color. Hanging right next to the door were a couple chains of various lengths, with each one having a metal handle at the end.
Bryan stared at the door for what felt like an eternity, his heart racing a bit and sweat beading on his brow. 'This is it,' He thought, before he slowly reached for one of the longer chains. 'Here I go,' He continued as his hand wrapped around the handle, before he pulled on it hard.
When he pulled on it, a very gentle "Ring!" occurred, a bell beyond the door being the source of it. He pulled on the chain two more times, before he let go of it, causing it to gently swing and hit the other chains as he stared at the door.
An eerie silence filled the air as he stood there, heart racing and sweat starting to drip down his face from the heat and nerves.
All was quiet.
Until he started to hear heavy hoofsteps beyond the door, coming slowly closer.
"Clop!
"Clop!"
"Clop!"
"Clop!"
As they got closer and closer, his heart began to race more and more. 'Remain calm! Remain calm!' He told himself as the hoofsteps grew louder and louder, before they sounded like they were just on the other side of the door.
And then, he heard and saw the knob start to slowly turn, metal rubbing against metal slightly as it did so. He watched as it turned and turned, before the door started to swing inwards, revealing inky blackness within.
As it swung fully opened, Bryan felt his entire body shiver as red goat eyes that looked like they were glowing with neon looked at him from high up in the darkness.
"U-U-U-Um, h-h-h-hi, K-K-K-K-Krampus," He stammered, his mouth feeling a bit dry as he looked at the eyes of the ancient being. "S-S-Santa w-w-wanted m-m-m-me to l-let you kn-kn-know that sh-sh-sh-she wants y-y-y-y-you in her of-f-f-fice now," he said to the being, a heavy oppressive feeling coming over him as he stood there.
The eyes blinked once upon hearing that, before the door slowly started to close, the eyes disappearing from his view as it did so.
Once it was closed, Bryan let out a big sigh of relief, putting a hand to his chest to feel his heart. "Oh man! That was intense!" He said as he looked up at the door again, before he turned and started to walk. "I really hope I don't have to do that again for a long time!" He continued as he went, his heartrate slowly starting to decrease. "I thought I was going to pass out!" He said as he reached the elevator lobby and pressed the button, causing the elevator doors to open. 'But now I can go home! And hopefully forget this experience!' He thought with a shudder.
He then stepped inside, and pressed the button labeled "Train Station 1," causing the doors to close, before the elevator sped off into the darkness.
Meanwhile…
Santa sipped at a fresh cup of hot chocolate as she sat at her desk, various papers sitting on it haphazardly. 'They should be getting here soon,' she thought as the hot chocolate flowed down her throat. 'I'm sure they will be curious to know why they have been summoned,' She continued, a smirk appearing on his face as he looked down at his desk. 'Oh, they will be so surprised at what I have planned!'
As he drank some more hot chocolate, the door swung open, and the reindeer hurried in.
"You called for us, Santa ma'am?" Rudolph asked as they came to a stop in front of his desk, lining up next to each other as they looked at her.
"I did," Santa replied with a smile and a nod.
"What's the problem?" Blitzen asked firmly. "Is someone stuck in ice? Or lost in the mountains? Do the elves need help in the woodshop again?" She asked, prompting Cupid to shudder a bit as she rubbed her arm. "Is-"
"No Blitzen," Santa replied, cutting her off. "There is no problem."
Upon hearing that, the reindeer gained confused looks, with at least one of them also looking a bit frustrated.
"There…isn't a problem ma'am?" Donner asked with confusion and an arched eyebrow.
"No, everything is fine," Santa replied with a shake of her head.
"So then…why did you summon us?" Dancer asked, tilting her head a bit as she looked at her boss.
"I will tell you all exactly why, once everyone has arrived," Santa replied, before the door swung open hard, catching all their attention. "Ah, there you are Krampus!" she said with a smile as she looked at the fellow ancient being, who had a black and slightly tattered cloak over her shoulders that was covering the rest of her body. "Right on time!"
"Yes! Not late!" Vixen said happily as she came out from behind Krampus and walked over to join her fellow reindeer, while Krampus closed the door behind them. "So, what's the situation?" She asked as Krampus walked up and over to the side, standing between the reindeer and the desk as she looked from them to Santa.
Santa then cleared her throat, prompting the deer to stand at attention and look at her. "Now, I have summoned you all here for a very important reason," She said, before she drank the rest of her hot chocolate and then stood up. "And that reason is…we got another letter from Gavin Woodring."
"What?!"
"Seriously?!"
"That's why you called us here!"
Santa stood there as the reindeer complained all at once about being summoned like there was an emergency, when it was just because they got a letter from the only human in the universe, while Vixen had an excited look on her face. Krampus didn't verbally complain, as she instead remained silent, but her eyes were narrowed a bit, and a frown was on her face.
After a few minutes had gone by, Santa spoke. "I wasn't done," she said firmly and a bit loudly as she looked at them all.
Upon hearing her say that, the reindeer started to quiet down, with a few of them having frowns on their faces and crossed arms as they looked at her.
"As I was saying, before I was interrupted," Santa began. "He wrote us a letter," She continued as she picked up said letter from the desk, and adjusted her glasses before she started to read. "'Dear Santa. This is Gavin Woodring. I'm sure you remember who I am. I hope you and all your elves, Mrs. Clause, friends, and reindeer are doing well. I am writing this letter today to inform you of a few things, and to ask one thing. First, I am graduating high school tomorrow. I feel rather nervous about this, but also excited. Second, because I am graduating and am 17, I will have to move out of the orphanage as soon as possible, due to a regulation the city passed several years ago. Why it was passed I don't understand, but it is a thing, and I am unsure of where I will be staying at on Monday night of next week. Third, I don't think I have to worry about my bully problem anymore, as apparently the school has gathered a large amount of evidence and handed it over to the police. They are now sitting in jail as of writing this letter. And now, for my question,'" Santa read, before a smile started to grow on her face as she looked from the letter to the reindeer and Krampus for several seconds. "'My question is this: Could you help me find a girlfriend?'"
Upon hearing that, the reindeer's eyes widened, with Krampus' frown disappearing as she stared at Santa, causing her to chuckle a bit as she read the rest of the letter. "'I know it is a lot to ask, but I've not had really any good luck with dating. I mean, I've had one date, and that ended quickly cause she thought I was rich but found out I wasn't. So, do you think you could help me? If so, please send a response of some sort to let me know. Thanks again for the puzzle and special present this past Christmas. I look forward to next years'. Sincerely, Gavin Woodring, the human,'" Santa finished, with her smile having grown to a grin. "Hohoho! Oh, Gavin always keeps on surprising me with each letter he writes," She said as she held up the letter in her hand. "And this one is no exception, wouldn't you say?"
"He…he wants a girlfriend?" Prancer said with surprise.
"Oh, how romantic!" Cupid said with a smile as she clasped her hands and held them up against her face. "He wants love!"
"Ma'am, I...I don't see how this involves us, or Krampus," Donner said, a confused look on her face.
"Oh, well that's because I have a wonderful idea, Donner," Santa replied. "And you all are part of it."
"And what idea is that, ma'am?" Rudolph asked with a tilt of her head.
"Oh, it's a wonderful plan!" Santa said happily. "I ran it by Mrs. Clause, and she likes it." 'Although she does have some reservations about certain aspects of it,' She thought to herself, having finished speaking with her just a few minutes before they'd arrived. "Since Gavin has been surprising me all the time, I think it's only fair that I surprise him," She continued with a grin, a twinkle in her eyes as she looked at them.
"What is the plan, sir?" Dasher asked with some impatience.
"Hohohohoho!" Santa laughed, holding her belly as she did so. "Well, the boy deserves real happiness with a girl, and, well, this is what my plan is," She continued, before she started to lay it all out, with everyone listening intently.
Well, this was a good chapter now, wasn't it?
Can't wait to write the next one!
If you think that the elves and everyone else in the North Pole are overreacting about Gavin writing a letter, remember: He's the only human in the entire world. He's a bit special.
I have purposefully not described certain character's body shapes, outfits, and surroundings in this chapter. That will happen as my OC sees them.
I am working on my older stories, like Krampus, Monster High, Courage, and others. I have writer's block for some of them, and with others, the chapters have a lot of stuff in them I have to sort out.
Please leave a review! And check out my other stories, if you haven't already.
