Percy lay in bed, calming his heart rate down after another nightmare. His thoughts went to Annabeth and he quickly jumped up to send an Iris-Message to her, guessing she had awoken from another nightmare. He grabbed a drachma, threw it into his humidifier, and said, "Annabeth Chase, San Francisco." And a moment later it shimmered into view to see Annabeth curled up on her bed, sobs shaking her body.
"Wise girl, I'm here," He said just loud enough for her to hear. She sat up and looked around the room until she spotted him. Quickly, she let out a breath of relief and moved closer to the Iris-Message.
"Seaweed Brain?" She asked, her voice choked with tears. Percy nodded and smiled at her.
"Hey Wise girl had another nightmare?"
"Yeah, it was about there you know?" She answered, wiping her cheeks.
"It's okay, we are alright, we are both out and safe. Was it about the...situation?" He asks tentatively and she nods. He sighs, running a hand through his hair. "It's my fault that she has these nightmares, if I'd just been more careful and stronger, I could have pulled her up before she fell down, even if I fell on my own." He thought.
"Percy, it's not your fault," She reassures him, able to see that he was beating himself up over this all. He sighs and nods, not really listening to her.
THE NEXT DAY
After school, him and Annabeth meet up at a cafe. She had a notebook in her hands as well as a dictionary. He looked at her confused.
"I had an idea. You remember all our quests?" He nods, thinking about the many quests they had gone on together, fighting so many monsters it was stupid really.
"Well, what if we write it all down? I already talked to everyone else that went on the quest and Nico talked to Jason down in the Underworld, and it turns out that he kept a diary of everything that happened during his and all our quests. So I asked the others and we have all decided to come together to write the diaries, anyone can read them if we want to, a mortal who knows everything about our world is willing to publish our story if we want him to," She explains to Percy and he stands there thinking for a moment then nods.
"I think that would be a good idea, I mean it might raise awareness in other demigods if they read the books and make them slightly more prepared in case anything does happen to them, I mean the amount of different monsters we faced would give them plenty of information," He says slowly and Annabeth nods.
That day, they start working on writing everything, able to remember everything vividly as if it had happened yesterday. The first diary was called, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.
"Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood..." Percy started writing.
