Isaac was back in his normal form, throwing up black bile! After the Demon had finally relinquished control back to him, it left Isaac dazed and sick. Isaac's muscles were in agony, the beating he had taken and delivered catching up to him. The demons that had attempted to kill him had retreated, leaving through an opening to the Inferno.

"That's it! That's the last time I allow you to control our actions!" Isaac hissed, before pulling out his mother's soul stone! Isaac pressed it against his chest, channeling his angelic energy into it!

The stone pulsed with energy, soon turning dark, Isaac feeling the Demon's hold over him weakened. Isaac sighed in relief, before picking himself up from the ground. He walked out of the alley, apprehensively following the directions left to him by the Hellhound. After walking a few blocks, a series of police cruisers sped past him, sirens going off! Isaac, feeling a horrible sensation in the pit of his stomach, began running towards the destination those sirens were headed! He soon saw them parked in the middle of road, adjacent to another warehouse, where they quickly began filing out of the cars, a SWAT team already positioned!

"Hmm… I might need a closer look." Isaac said to himself, before ran into an alley, his wings materializing. He quickly took to the air, getting high above the roof of the warehouse, before plummeting, deftly entering a ventilation vent! Isaac pushed his hands against the wall of the ventilation shaft, slowing his descent. He soon came to a halt, before slowly lowering himself, popping open the vent.

He dropped into the warehouse, seeing no one around him. He saw the lights of the police cars outside the windows, but no one, not even one single guard, in sight. Isaac, already getting suspicious, walked around the warehouse, before seeing some of the Bubble Bomb manufacturing equipment! He quickly ran to it, taking out his phone. He began taking pictures of the serial numbers on some of the parts, before noticing something else. Some of the parts were tampered with, but not in a way that would affect the operation of the equipment.

"Wait a minute… is that…" Isaac began to say, before his eyes widened, slowly walking backwards. Isaac had seen a small metallic item wedged in between components, realizing it was an initiator for an IED, one that would set off the moment someone would begin removing pieces of the manufacturing equipment, including someone taking parts off to properly identify them!

"They rigged the press to blow! The police are going to be walking into a trap!" Isaac realized, before he began surveying the area.

"Wait… how do I know what an initiator looks like?" Isaac questioned. He had a flash of clarity, remembering the soul of Dr. Finitevus was still somewhere inside of him, contributing to his knowledge! He grinned, before he began to formulate an idea. Isaac, harnessing whatever energy he had left, began pushing the tablet press towards the center of the warehouse, leaving heavy marks into the concrete floor! Isaac was soon drenched in sweat, not realizing how much energy was used up in that fight! After it was the furthest away from the walls of the warehouse, Isaac quickly threw a fireball away from him, creating a sustained fire.

"Alright, I need to clear the police out of the area." Isaac said, before channeling more energy! He quickly released a charge, igniting the air! It blew out all of the windows in the warehouse, the shattered glass thrown away! The police began backing up, securing a larger perimeter in case of a fire! Isaac quickly took another look at the initiator, seeing a way he could rig it so it wouldn't immediately detonate upon the removal of a component!

"Alright, if I compress the lever here, and give it a bit of a suggestion…" Isaac said, before a slight click was heard. He exhaled sharply, having partially removed the initiator. He gently pulled it up, seeing it was connected via wires. Isaac took out a knife from his pocket, before looking over the wires.

"Okay… Greens are typically for grounding, red will deliver a secondary live wire on a 200-volt circuit… what the hell does the blue wire do?!" Isaac questioned, before he looked back at his sustained fire. His means of escape as soon as the IED went active was beginning to fade, his energy already used up.

"Fuck it!" Isaac yelled, before swiftly running towards the fire, the initiator pulling out more wires! Isaac quickly severed it completely, leaping towards the fire! He could feel the blast as soon as he went through it, before feeling himself ejected out of a hearth! He tumbled on the hardwood floor, the fire in the hearth suddenly going out.

Isaac was breathing heavily, shaking his head. He slowly rose from the floor, seeing he was back in his and Sally's room. As he looked around, he heard someone clear their throat. He quickly spun around, seeing Sally laying on their bed. Isaac noticed the crib, not seeing Camilla. Sally rose from the bed, wearing only a thin gown, the kind that one could easily see through.

"Uh, where's Camilla?" Isaac nervously asked, feeling his throat dry up. He could tell she was waiting for him, even though he had established no ETA.

"She's with mom and dad. Told them I needed to catch up on sleep. But if you're not too busy…" She elaborated, before beckoning him towards her.

A Few Hours Later:

Isaac had just stepped out of the shower, a towel around his waist. It was nice to get a bit of respite from his mission, feeling refreshed. He saw himself in the bathroom mirror, seeing all the scars that adorned his body. Cuts, slashes, bullets, all of them evident. But the ones he could never ignore were the three sixes that were carved into his left pectoral muscle. He stepped up to the sink, still looking into the mirror. He expected his face to morph, the Demon to scare him, to control him. But suddenly, a pair of arms snaked over his shoulders, holding onto him tightly.

"Watcha looking at, handsome? Sally asked, giggling. Isaac couldn't help but smile, before turning around, kissing his wife. After a moment, Isaac broke it, before walking out into the room, grabbing his clothes.

"You know, I would think that we're in that phase of the marriage that we can shower together, but it seems you never want to." Sally said.

"Really? I distinctly remember stepping into a shower with you when we first became intimate. But I had to hop out once I noticed my skin sloughing off. I might be able to walk through fire, but even I can't withstand the hot showers you take." Isaac jokingly responded, getting dressed.

"What do you expect me to do? Freeze myself out of the shower?" Sally asked, before she began getting dressed as well.

"I wish I could stay, but I have to pick up Lily from Joshua's place. And that warehouse explosion is probably going to end up on the news tonight." Isaac said, before putting on his jacket, throwing a fireball into the hearth.

"You know… maybe tonight, after everyone's asleep, you could… come back for another round." Sally proposed, making Isaac visibly blush. He turned to her, an incredulous look on his face.

"Again?! Listen, I know we're still fresh in the marriage, and we still haven't gone on a honeymoon, but… I'm barely able to keep up! Especially fighting a cartel, a whole continent away!" Isaac exclaimed.

"Isaac, that's not what I meant! Every moment spent with you is something I always look forward to. And I don't know why, but… I just can't get enough!" Sally responded. Isaac exhaled, already knowing he had to come back tonight.

"I'm coming back tonight, Sal. But just… take it easy on my. Between the fighting, the running, and the near-death experience, I'm just about ready to collapse from exhaustion." Isaac said, before walking towards the hearth.

"I promise. I mean, I'm more than happy cuddling." Sally said, walking towards Isaac. Isaac held her, kissing her gently. After a moment, he walked into the hearth, disappearing from the room. Isaac soon materialized in a flash of fire, finding himself in the middle of an alley. He looked around, seeing no one around him. He walked out of the alley, seeing he was only a five-minute walk from Joshua's. The sun was beginning to lower, it being early evening.

"I guess now is a good time to pick up Lily. Maybe I can finally get something to eat back at the apartment." Isaac said, walking down the street.

After a few minutes, Isaac walked up the stairs to the second floor, knocking on Joshua's door. After a few moments, the door opened, a young boy having opened the door.

"Hello. I'm a friend of your father's. I'm here to pick up Lily." Isaac said.

"Dad! Someone's here to see you!" The boy called out, before footsteps were heard. Joshua approached the door, wearing his suit. He was rolling a lint roller over it, seeing Isaac.

"Hey. I thought you had the night off tonight." Isaac said.

"No, I have tomorrow off. Tonight, I still need to make myself available to any latecomers. Should I expect to see you tonight, on one of your runs, like last time?" Joshua asked. Isaac shook his head.

"I don't think so. I plan on being with my wife tonight. Unless it's an emergency, I don't think I'll be out and about tonight." Isaac responded.

Isaac walked into the apartment, seeing Lily was playing board games with Joshua's wife and her daughter. Isaac cleared his throat, alerting Lily. She quickly jumped to her feet, running to him, and hugging him!

"Isaac, you're back! I heard about that warehouse collapsing! Were you hurt?" Lily asked. Isaac chuckled, noticing the looks from Joshua's adopted children.

"Lily, you know I don't go anywhere near those places. Too dangerous. I was as far away as you could get. But I did see it on the news today." Isaac said, partially lying. Technically, when the IED did go off, he was in the Kingdom of Acorn. But Lily wasn't aware of that.

"We enjoyed having Lily over. She was such an angel." Bonnie said.

"Only half an angel." Isaac thought to himself.

"We'd actually like to ask if she could come over to stay with us during the weekend. George and Cassandra were practically begging to have a sleepover!" Bonnie explained. Isaac looked over to Lily, seeing her pleading eyes.

"Well… as long as she behaves herself… yeah, alright." Isaac agreed. Lily made a fist pump motion, before she quickly walked towards the front door. Isaac walked out, Joshua doing so as well. He soon closed it, straightening out his suit jacket.

"Is there another reason you want Lily with your family this weekend?" Isaac asked. Joshua looked around, not seeing anyone else.

"A mutual friend of ours, a Mr. Matthew Patrick, has alerted me that a convoy is being planned around Saturday. This time around, they have a boat waiting at the docks. They're going to get a shipment of these tablets out to the Kingdom of Acorn. Now, if you're able to, getting word of this shipment out to the proper authorities back home, might be in your best interests." Joshua relayed.

Isaac took a deep breath, now knowing he had to get back to Sally to let King Nigel's court know what was going to happen in a few days.

"Thank you, Joshua. While I know Xorelaz and Vylania would be able to keep her safe, I worry about when neither one of them would be around." Isaac said. Joshua nodded, knowing the fear.

"I worry, too. I worry they'll eventually figure out I'm helping you and target my family next." Joshua admitted.

"From what I've heard, you're a force to be reckoned with." Isaac said. Joshua shook his head, he, and Isaac walking down the stairs.

"When I married Bonnie and adopted her family as my own, I swore I would never pick up my guns again. I… I worry who will take over. The one that seeks justice… or the one that seeks vengeance." Joshua confessed. Isaac felt a scraping in his stomach, his stomach doing somersaults.

"You and me both." Isaac said.
