"Mm, this is really good," said June as she ate a sandwich at the counter of a diner that only had a few other people in it.
"Glad you like it," said the waitress.
"Haven't seen you around here before, you new in town?" she asked.
"Just arrived today, and I'm glad that the food is free because I have no money on me so this is a blessing basically," said June.
"No need for money anymore so the mayor set everything to be free," said the waitress.
"Sounds like he's a good leader," said Jack, who was still on June's back.
"Whoa, how did that spear just talk?" asked the waitress as some of the other people turned to look and June.
"Long story," said June before taking another bite of her sandwich and not paying any mind to the looks from the others.
"Oh no," Jack suddenly said.
"What's wrong?" asked June.
"My old foster family just walked in," said Jack as June turned to see the Robinsons standing at the door.
"Hey, if it's not June Del Toro," said the son as he walked up.
"How did you get here," he asked.
"I drove, Mike, now leave me alone so I can enjoy my food in peace," said June as she went to take another bite.
"Come on, let's talk for a little bit," said Mike while taking the seat next to her.
"Did you see Jake's loser body on your way…?" is all he could say before June held a knife that had been sitting on the counter to his throat, causing the place to go quiet and Mike to break out into a cold sweat.
"First, Jack's not dead, and secondly, he's a far better guy than you could ever be so I suggest you shut up," said June with an expression that said she was not kidding.
"What… what the heck?" asked Mike while watching June leave after stabbing the knife into the wooden counter.
"Are you okay, June?" asked Jack.
"I'm just a little mad, but I can get that out tomorrow when we go hunting," said June.
