We're here now, Naomi. Alright, Uncle Mac. How is he, Naomi? He needs a doctor fast. As soon as we get him inside you go for the doc, Reb. We're here now, Jess. My uncle's talking to the man in charge. ''Look, Mister, we've got an injured man here that needs a doctor! I'm sorry, Marshal. It's going to be okay, Jess. They're coming to get you now. Be gentle with him, you two. We will, Naomi. Set him down on the bed there. I'll go find some bandages, Naomi. Good idea, Patches. I'll stay here with Jess. Naomi? I'm right here, Jess. I'm not going anywhere. You're going to be okay, Jess. The doctor's coming. And I'll take care of you until he comes. ''McGary''! ''Take it easy, Jess. Lie still''. ''The way I feel, I could'nt move if you lit a fire under me''. You'll be alright soon, Reb's gone for the doctor. Uncle Mac, would you get me a cloth and some water? We've got to try and keep his fever down. Sure, Naomi. ''You're a fool, McGary''. ''You never should have come here''. ''Who was the fool that rode into that ambush''? ''That's got nothin to do with it''. ''Jess, you could'nt have made it to Laramie''. 'Maybe''. ''But you had a job to do, bring that prisoner in''. It was'nt worth losing you Jess, when we'd only just found you again. Thanks, Naomi. ''I've had a lot of jobs since I saw you last, Jess''. ''There's been a lot of prisoners''. ''Somehow it just does'nt seem to be workin' anymore''. ''Bringing a man in, seeing him punished''. ''What does it prove''? ''They never learn''. ''That tumbleweed wagon's always got somebody in it''. ''You're gettin old, Mac''. ''I'm gettin tired, Jess''. ''I'm gettin tired of tryin to keep a house clean that everybody's tryin to make dirty''. ''You still shou''- Jess, is something wrong? You'd best let him rest now, Uncle Mac. Sure, Naomi. ''You still should've kept goin''. ''It's worth a lot more to me to save a man's life than to take one to an execution, Jess''. And I feel the same, Jess. That must be the doc, Naomi. It's going to be alright now, Jess. You rest now and don't pay any mind to those folks. What do they want, Naomi? Never you mind, Jess. Just rest, alright. Nothing's going to happen to you, Jess. Not while I'm here. There's nothing to be scared of. I'm glad you're here, Naomi. So am I, Jess. You just rest now. I'm here with you.
