"Looks like you're weaker than we thought," said June as she swung Jack around so that he was facing the ground after the attack stopped.
"I'm not weak, you have the power I lost in our last fight inside that weapon!" said Rezzoch while pointing at Jack.
"Is that why I'm still alive?" asked Jack.
"Your soul latched onto that spear and pulled half my power into it, fusing the three together and giving you a new body," said Rezzoch.
"But it also means that if I destroy you I'll be back to my full power again!" he said before charging the two.
"Whoa!" said June as she dodged Rezzoch's arm which turned into a scythe at the last second.
"Careful, we don't know what all he can do," said Jack.
"Right," said June while spinning him around to point the blade at Rezzoch. Meanwhile, a crowd had gathered and was watching the fight from the gate.
"What is with that zombie, and why is that girl fighting it alone?" asked a woman.
"Everyone stay back," said Mayor Kay as he arrived on the scene.
"Sir, should we mobilize to help June and Jack in fighting that thing?" asked one of the guards from earlier as he and the others stood with the weapons at the ready in case they were given the order.
"No, only the two of them can defeat that zombie with the power Jack has thanks to that form he has," said Mayor Kay.
"If she loses then we're all dead," he said while watching June being knocked back but quickly recovering her footing.
"Just give up already!" said Rezzoch as he wildly swung his arms around which had turned into spears at this point in the fight. One of them had even managed to cut June across the face at the same time she dodged a fatal hit.
"Never!" said June and Jack as he was stabbed into Rezzoch's left shoulder, cutting the arm off.
"What?!" asked Jack who found himself stuck thanks to Rezzoch's flesh wrapping around the blade on its own.
"Got you!" said Rezzoch before bringing his right hand down on the shaft of the spear.
"No," said a horrified June as she watched Jack break in half.
