Chapter 2: The Cat Returns:
Jackie's POV:
We then all sat down with Zhong Kui.
"So... what are you the God of again," asks Dil.
"What do they teach you kids," asks Zhong Kui, "I'm Zhong Kui! I was a star student, but then my Emperor took my title as top sorcerer away from me just because he didn't think I was that handsome!"
"He was right," says Angelica. Susie then elbows her.
"I was so mad, I charged at the palace gates, breaking my head," I said, "but then Yanluo Wang saw great potential in me and gave me the title of 'King of Ghosts' and gave me the job to hunt, capture, take charge of and maintain discipline and order among all ghosts. I got my own ghost kingdom in Diyu!"
"We are honored that a God would be here," says Uncle.
"Of course you are," says Zhong Kui, "now, let's cut to the chase! Shen Du plans to bring back the Dragon Emperor's army!"
"Wait, you mean Han the Dragon Emperor," I asked, "I read that Alex O'Connell discovered his tomb years ago!"
"Yeah, and then he started walking again, but Alex O'Connell managed to re-kill him, but Shen Du plans to possess Han's corpse," says Zhong Kui.
"He can do that," asks Jade.
"Oh yeah," says Zhong Kui, "and if he does that, it will combine their powers!"
"How do you know any of this," asks Tohru.
"You think I don't keep an eye on those Demon Sorcerers," asks Zhong Kui, "I'm the warden of Demons! He formed an alliance with Mao!" We were all confused. "Mao... right, you never learned the cat's name."
"The cat," asks Tommy.
"Wait, do you speak of the Great Race," asks Uncle.
"Yeah, Mao was a lot more bitter about being refused Zodiac status, so he swore revenge on the Jade Emperor," says Zhong Kui, "Shen Du promised to give him the rat's first place!"
"Then let's kick his cat butt," says Jade.
"Jade," I said, "this could be dangerous!"
"How tough could a cat be," asks Jade.
"I never have to worry about kids getting in the way," says Zhong Kui.
"Is it just me or does this guy whine a lot," whispered Lil.
"I heard that," says Zhong Kui.
. . .
Uncle, Zhong Kui, and I then arrived at the Dragon Emperor's tomb.
"I was taught by Guo Howard O'Connell, the son of Alex O'Connell when I was a college student," says Jackie, "Professor O'Connell was the one who gotten me interested in Archaeology. Professor O'Connell was the one who discovered the Lost Tomb of Queen Rhodopis!"
"That's interesting," says Zhong Kui.
"We must be careful," says Uncle, "evil cat may be prepared for us!"
"As a matter of fact, I was expecting you," says Mao.
"You must be Mao," I said.
"And you are the famous Jackie Chan," says Mao, "I understand you're probably better than Zhong Kui over there!"
"Watch it," says Zhong Kui.
"You want a piece of Uncle?"
"Neither of you have any idea of what you're dealing with," says Mao.
We then tried to grab him, but he kept jumping around. "I guess we should have expected a cat to have cat like reflexes," I said.
"You think," asks Zhong Kui.
We then kept trying to grab him, but he kept jumping and scratching at us. "So, would you like to surrender now?"
Then he was hit with catnip and started acting strange.
"I knew you guys would need us," says Jade.
"How did you get here," I asked.
"You mean you didn't notice that they were following us the whole time," asks Zhong Kui.
"You noticed," I asked.
"Of course I did," says Zhong Kui, "amateur."
We then heard something. "Mao was not alone," says Uncle. Something then approached us.
"E Gui," says Zhong Kui, "the Hungry Ghost!"
This creature had a big belly and a big mouth.
Mao then snaps out of it. "Take care of them," says Mao.
The Hungry Ghost then came at us, and we had to move.
"Can't you just vanquish it or something," asks Jade.
"Of course I can," says Zhong Kui, but then the Hungry Ghost knocked him out.
"We must give it food as an offering," says Uncle.
"Angelica, the cookies you secretly keep with you," I said.
Susie then takes her cookies and throws them to me. I then gave them to the Hungry Ghost as an offering.
Zhong Kui wakes up and sees that. "That is... not bad."
We then realized we had to stop Mao!
To Be Continued
Diyu (simplified Chinese: 地狱; traditional Chinese: 地獄; pinyin: dìyù; lit. 'earth prison') is the realm of the dead or "hell" in Chinese mythology. Jackie Chan was an Archaeology Major Student who was taught by College Professor Guo Howard O'Connell (The Son of Alex O'Connell and Lin. The Grandson of Rick O'Connell, Evie Carnahan, Ming Guo, and Zi Yuan. The Grandnephew of Jonathan Carnahan. The Great-Grandson of Howard Carnahan and Omorose Carnahan). In the next chapter, Shen Du possesses the remains of the Dragon Emperor.
