Author's Note: And we're writing the Movie! People wanted to see it, so here we are. For some reason, it's actually surprisingly difficult to write about a movie compared to a show, but here we are. The whole Movie will probably be around three chapters or so, and I'll try to write Melissa and the others as best I can, but it's been a while since I've seen Two Heroes, so it might be a bit off.
Apologies in advance for that. Anyways, here's the chapter:
.
'I knew there was a reason I hated planes,' Marvin groaned as Izuku looked out the window.
'You're scared of heights?' Izuku asked, slightly amused. The concept of someone so terrifying as Marvin being scared of high places was quite funny to him.
Marvin scoffed. 'You AREN'T? They're unsafe, and if they crash, the likelihood of survival is low.'
Izuku blinked. 'Aren't you highly durable? I'm pretty sure you told me you survived a collapsed building.'
'I am, YOU aren't,' Marvin rolled his eyes. 'Float doesn't like you for some reason, and your durability is decent but hardly something to write home to.'
The first part of his statement was true; Izuku had a hard time using Float, while, ironically, Marvin took to it like a fish to water. Blackwhip was the opposite, with Izuku growing by leaps and bounds in his control and Marvin struggling to use it for anything besides swinging.
The second half was just Marvin being biased. He still refused to believe the strength from his birth body was Quirk-related, insisting it was training, despite Nezu's persistence that it wasn't.
"All Might, All Might," Izuku called, deciding to ignore Marvin for now. "Look at this view."
The Pro leaned over, smiling a little as I-Island came into view.
"It is quite beautiful, Young Midoriya," All Might told him. "It is even better up close."
"Thank you for this, All Might," Izuku said gratefully. "I can't believe I'm seeing I-Island in person so soon after my break from UA."
"Young Midoriya, I invited you because we're bound by something thicker than blood," All Might told him.
They landed soon after, and All Might shifted into his muscular form, telling Izuku he needed to keep this form the entire time they were there.
"Do you have everything?" All Might asked. "Casual clothes? Formal wear? Support items? Hero costume?"
"All here, All Might," Izuku replied, checking his things.
He quickly changed into his Hero costume, which Marvin still thought looked childish, causing Izuku to roll his eyes.
'You think everything is childish,' Izuku sighed.
'Correction. I think most things YOU do are childish,' Marvin replied. 'Because they are.'
"Young Midoriya," All Might said after they got through immigration. "How much do you know about I-Island?"
"Well, it's the largest Quirk research facility in the world and is a moving artificial island meant to gather top scientists so their combined abilities can further the research on Quirk development and support items," Was everything All Might understood before Izuku began muttering.
All Might sighed with a smile. "I should have known."
They reached the central part of I-Island, and even Marvin whistled lowly as they stared at the enormous building that poked through the skyline.
All Might was immediately swarmed by fans, much to Marvin's amusement.
That amusement quickly faded as Izuku was swarmed similarly, multiple people screaming for his autograph or a picture.
"W-wow, you guys are amazing," Izuku beamed nervously, rubbing the back of his head.
"You're Duality!" One girl in the front exclaimed. "I saw you during the Sports Festival!"
"You were on the news for fighting those creatures!" A teen yelled.
"That's nothing!" A girl in the back shouted. "Didn't you go up against the Hero Killer?!"
"Ah, well. Creati helped me," Izuku said, rubbing his neck. "I couldn't have beaten him without her."
"Are you two dating?" A girl yelled, and suddenly, everyone was asking similar questions, wanting to know about his relationship with Momo.
"D-dating?!" Izuku exclaimed, his face red.
"YEAH!" The first girl yelled again. "You fought her during the Sports Festival and held hands after knocking each other out!"
"And you were together when you fought that Shigaraki guy," A man yelled.
"And versus the Hero Killer!" Yet another person yelled.
"Um- well- I. We're not..." Izuku tried to answer but found it difficult as people continued screaming.
Thankfully, All Might appeared, sparing Izuku from more of what Marvin called 'creative torture.'
"I'm sorry, young ones," All Might said, putting a hand on Izuku's shoulder. "But Duality and I have to meet someone very important. If you could excuse us?"
The combined fans quickly parted, frantically apologizing for delaying the Heroes as they passed.
All Might kept his hand on Izuku's shoulder the entire way, stopping more fans from trying to swarm him.
Marvin snorted as he took control momentarily, hearing multiple people talk about how attractive Izuku was.
'Looks like Momo has competition,' He teased, causing Izuku to blush brightly.
'I wouldn't date them,' Izuku mumbled, covering his face.
'So you WOULD date Momo?' Marvin raised an eyebrow, causing Izuku to turn redder.
Marvin stiffened as he felt the killing intent in the area spike. He looked through his peripherals but found nothing, and none of the crowd had any ill will towards him.
His eyes darted to the right briefly, but that was more than enough. He pinpointed it behind him, coming from the airport, but it wasn't aimed at him, at least not directly.
'There's someone here intending to harm,' He told Izuku. 'Who it is or what they want, I don't know. But they're here; I can sense them clear as day.'
Izuku frowned. 'If we tell All Might, it'll postpone the whole trip and might ruin things. Maybe we can deal with this on our own?'
Marvin nodded. '100%. You still have those pills Nezu gave you?'
'Of course I do,' Izuku replied. 'It's in my bag.'
Nezu had given him pills similar to the ones used after the mall incident, though he rigorously stated they were much safer.
"These will drain you, Mister Midoriya. It will allow Mister Mikrai to be part of the physical world like he was the other day," Nezu had said. "Use these as a last resort, and a last resort ONLY. Do NOT give these to anyone; it WILL kill them."
Izuku blinked as a blonde teen quite literally came bouncing up to them as she was riding what seemed to be a pogo stick, though much more advanced.
"Melissa!" All Might exclaimed as the girl reached them.
"Uncle Might!" The now-named Melissa yelled, throwing herself at the Pro.
All Might caught her, picking her up and spinning her like a parent would do a child. Melissa laughed loudly, thoroughly enjoying the small ride.
"Melissa, you've grown so much!" All Might said.
"I'm 17 now," Melissa beamed. "And I invited you to surprise Papa."
"Ah, where is David?" All Might asked, looking around and putting Melissa down.
"He's inside," Melissa said before turning to Izuku and gasping. "Is that Duality?"
"Why yes, it is," All Might boomed, placing a hand on Izuku's shoulder. "I invited him."
Melissa stepped forward, examining Izuku curiously. Izuku was taller than her, but the difference was smaller than the one between Izuku and Momo.
"Hi, I'm Melissa Shield," She said, sticking out her hand.
Izuku took off his glove and shook her hand with slight embarrassment. "I'm Izuku Midoriya, a first-year student at UA."
"Oh, that's how you know Uncle Might," Melissa said.
Izuku nodded a little. "Y-yeah, I'm a student."
'I can't believe I'M the one saying this,' Izuku said. 'But can you get it together?'
"He'll be a great Pro one day," All Might grinned.
Marvin rolled his eyes. 'Oh, what? Now I can't think a girl's cute? I'm seventeen, asshole; let me have ONE fucking crush, Jesus. It's not like I'll see her again, fuck off.'
"You must have a promising future," Melissa smiled, and Izuku nodded shakily.
'But did it have to appear NOW?' Izuku asked as Melissa stared at his hand, her brows furrowed.
"You should think about upgrading some things," She said, examining his costume. "It has a cool design, but I don't see any support items."
"What's with the scar?" She asked, tracing the scar that ran from the webbing of his hand down to his wrist, disappearing under his Hero costume.
"Oh, you know, I get reckless sometimes," Izuku said, pulling his hand back lightly and rubbing his neck.
"What's your Quirk?" Melissa asked.
All Might went into a coughing fit that sounded suspiciously like 'super strength.'
"Oh, my body stores energy that I can release later as super strength," Marvin told Melissa, not exactly lying.
All Might cleared his throat. "We do have an agenda, Melissa. It would be nice to keep it somewhat."
Izuku sighed in relief as Melissa switched gears, leading them to the laboratory and chatting happily.
Soon, they were meeting David, with Izuku nearly jumping in excitement at meeting the professor, much to Marvin's amusement.
"Melissa, can you show Duality around the expo?" David asked as steam began to flow off of All Might.
Melissa smiled. "Of course," She turned to Izuku. "Come on. There's a lot of things here I think you'll like."
They walked through the Expo, and Izuku wished he had twenty more pairs of eyes to see everything. Five extra hands to take notes would also be helpful.
Izuku gasped as they approached a hero. "That's Godzillo!"
Marvin snorted. 'Didn't even fucking try, did they? Is he from Tokyo?'
Godzillo greeted Izuku and Melissa before turning to the rest of his fans.
"There are dozens of Pros here," Melissa told Izuku. "They're all here from our sponsors. There's also a reception party during the evening. Will you be going?"
Izuku nodded. "Yeah. It should be fun."
The two continued walking through the Expo, with Melissa pointing out several inventions and Pro Heroes, some of which even Izuku didn't know, much to his dismay.
"So, David Shield is your father, huh?" Izuku asked after a while.
"Yep," Melissa replied. "I'm planning on becoming a great scientist just like him."
"Oh? He turned to her, intrigued.
She nodded. "I'm in my third year of I-Island Academy, and once I graduate, I'll be able to start my career."
"Oh, so it's like me and UA," Izuku smiled. "You're trying to emulate your dad like I emulate All Might."
Melissa laughed a little. "True, but I think one of us is much closer to that goal than the other."
Izuku raised an eyebrow. "And which one of us would tha-"
Melissa's brows furrowed as Izuku stopped. "What's wrong?"
Marvin put a finger to his lips with a grin, using Float a little and moving silently towards the entrance of a hallway nearby.
"Duality, what are you doing?" Melissa asked.
Marvin stopped at the corner of the hallway, still out of sight.
"BOO!" He yelled, turning the corner sharply.
Three screams sounded as Momo, Uraraka, and Jiro jumped back in shock, causing him to laugh loudly.
"Izuku, you PRAT!" Momo yelled, getting back up quickly.
Marvin laughed. "And what were you three doing spying on me?" He asked, dropping to the ground silently.
"We- we weren't spying," Uraraka said quickly, her face a bit pink.
Izuku raised an eyebrow. "So why were you three around the corner, hiding, with Jiro's earphone jack plugged into the floor and her whispering everything I said?"
The three girls froze, caught red-handed as they'd been doing exactly that.
"Damn, I forgot Midoriya has enhanced hearing too," Jiro mumbled, twirling one of her jacks around her finger.
"We were just listening in on your date," Uraraka said, crossing her arms.
"Date?" Izuku asked, turning as Melissa approached them.
"I would hope not," Momo muttered, looking Melissa up and down.
"It's nice to meet you," Melissa smiled. "Duality here really knows his Heroes."
"Melissa, these are my friends and classmates," Izuku said.
"Guys, this is Melissa Shield; she's showing me around the Expo," He explained quickly, hoping Momo didn't get the wrong idea.
"That's great, Izuku," Momo said, her smile a bit forced. "I'm sure she knows her way around here."
"Oh, yeah. I can show you around if you like," Melissa said, either missing or ignoring Momo's tone. "There's lots of beautiful inventions."
"Well, you sure seem to be having fun, at least," Momo smiled, clasping her hands to hide their twitching.
'Oohh, someone's jealous,' Marvin grinned. 'It's kinda funny seeing someone as calm as Momo get jealous so easily.'
'Can you not?' Izuku sighed. 'You're the one who was a stuttering mess earlier; THAT'S funny.'
'I will hurt you,' Marvin threatened, only half-joking.
"Duality is fun to talk to," Melissa told Momo.
"Oh, I know. I talk with Izuku all the time," Momo replied almost casually, but Marvin caught the slight emphasis she put on Izuku's name.
"Melissa, just call me Dekiru," Izuku told her. "It's easier, and most of my friends do."
Momo shot a quick glare at him, her eye twitching slightly.
Melissa smiled. "Sure, Dekiru," She turned to the other girls. "There's an excellent cafe around here if you want to try it?"
The other four nodded, none of them ones to deny offers of food.
As they walked, Izuku continued talking with Melissa, the girls trailing a few steps behind.
"Someone's jealous," Uraraka whispered to Momo.
Momo scoffed. "Why would I be jealous?"
"Because Izuku~ is talking to another girl," Uraraka teased, causing Momo's eye to twitch.
She crossed her arms. "Why would I mind if Izuku's talking to that... that girl?"
"Because you've been glaring at her back for the entire walk?" Jiro suggested with a grin.
Momo rolled her eyes, huffing a little. "Just because Izuku is talking to another girl doesn't mean I'd get jealous. He talks to you two, and I don't mind."
"Yeah, but do either of us do that?" Jiro asked, gesturing to the two.
Momo's jaw tightened as Melissa punched Izuku in the shoulder, laughing at something Izuku was saying.
"I'm going to kill her," Momo growled, clasping her hands as tightly as possible.
Jiro rolled her eyes. "Not jealous, huh?"
Momo's eyes narrowed as she watched Izuku. His eyes looked sharper, his movements a bit jerkier, and his eyes went in and out of focus as she watched.
'Good, he's uncomfortable,' Momo smirked before blinking. Wait, that wasn't a good thing.
She sighed; ok, maybe she was jealous a little.
They reached the cafe, and Momo sat closer to Izuku than necessary but acted like nothing was different.
The four 1-A students did double takes as they saw Kaminari walk over, wearing a waiter's outfit.
Kaminari swung his arm over Izuku's shoulder and pulled him away from the girls.
"Dude, who's that cute girl?" Kaminari whispered not so subtly.
Marvin rolled his eyes. "You're going to have to be more specific. There's four of them."
Kaminari tsked. "You know I mean the blond one. Who's she?"
"Yeah, who is she?" Mineta asked, appearing next to them.
Melissa leaned over to Momo. "Are they also your classmates?"
Momo sighed. "The yellow one isn't that bad; he's somewhat fun to be around. The purple one is a complete pervert."
Izuku broke out of Kaminari's grip. "Guys, this is Melissa Shield. She's been showing us around the Expo."
Melissa smiled. "Nice to meet more of Dekiru's classmates."
"This is Kaminari and Mineta," Izuku told her. "They're our classmates at UA."
"Nice to meet you," Kaminari and Mineta said more enthusiastically than expected.
"You guys are working here?" Jiro raised an eyebrow. "Who'd hire Jammingway and Grape Juice?"
"HEY," Mineta exclaimed. "We'll have you know we're excellent employees."
Marvin turned as he sensed someone running towards them, relaxing as he saw it was only Iida.
Iida approached them at top speed. "Kaminari, Mineta, remember to represent UA as good workers."
Kaminari rolled his eyes. "We know, dude. We were just talking to Midoriya and the others."
Iida turned. "Hello, Midoriya," He said before greeting the rest.
"Hello, Melissa," He said with a smile.
Melissa smiled back. "Hey, Iida. Nice to see you again."
Izuku blinked. "You two know each other?"
Iida nodded. "My family is well acquainted with most of the I-Island scientists. David Shield, in particular, has patented several things to create our support items."
"Oh, your family was invited too?" Momo asked.
"That's correct, Yaoyorozu. I was the only one free to attend, however," Iida replied.
"Oh, and I forgot to ask," Izuku said, turning to the girls. "How are you guys here?"
Momo smiled. "My family has stock in a few I-Island sponsors."
Uraraka grinned. "We won rock-paper-scissors," she gestured to Jiro and her. "The rest are at the hotel."
"Oh, so everyone is here?" Izuku asked.
"Yep. They'll be seeing the Expo once it's open," Jiro leaned back, hands behind her head.
"I'd be happy to show everyone around once it's open," Melissa smiled.
Izuku tensed as he heard an explosion go off nearby.
He was heading towards the sound before he could think, Blackwhip shooting and pulling him forward. Momo was right behind him, having reacted just a second later.
Izuku landed near the 'Villain Attack' attraction, blinking as he saw Kirishima take out several robots.
"Woah, what is this place?" Izuku asked, looking around.
"The 'Villain Attack' game," Momo explained, having caught up. "You destroy all the robot "Villains" as fast as possible. You get a prize if you win, I think."
Bakugo went next, blowing up the robots in fifteen seconds and shooting into first place.
Kirishima grinned. "That was awesome, dude."
He turned, smiling as he noticed Izuku and Momo.
"Oh, hey. Midoriya and Yaoyorozu are here," He told Bakugo.
The blond turned and snarled. "Damn, nerd."
He launched into the railings, an almost bloodthirsty grin on his face.
"Enjoying the show, nerd?" He taunted. "Bet you wish you could do it like I can, huh?"
Izuku took a deep breath. "Look, Kacchan. I'm just walking around with Momo. I'm not interested in doing anything."
"Why?" Bakugo yelled. "Afraid you'll lose?"
"Oh, that's it," Izuku muttered, vaulting over the railing onto the platform.
He activated Full Cowling at 20%, shooting off into the robots harder than he intended.
Blackwhip lashed out, ripping apart another robot and pulling Izuku into a third.
Izuku darted around, moving faster than anyone could track before landing back at the starting point.
"Wow, four seconds," Melissa exclaimed as she approached the railing.
"That's Izuku for you," Momo smiled as she watched him.
"His destructive power is like Uncle Might's," Melissa muttered, and Momo tensed.
"All Might doesn't have tentacles, though," She said quickly, hoping Melissa wouldn't find anything out.
Melissa hummed in thought. "True, but his punches and movements resemble him somewhat."
Izuku launched back of them, swinging over the railing and sliding to a stop.
"That was amazing, Dekiru," Uraraka exclaimed.
Iida nodded. "That control is exceptional, Midoriya. You've truly grown since our first day."
Bakugo looked ready to murder Izuku on the spot, small explosions going off in his hands.
"Hey, Bakugo, calm down," Kirishima told him. "At least you're still second."
Bakugo scowled. "I don't want second place."
"Third then," Todoroki said as he entered the area.
Todoroki quickly destroyed the robots, gaining a time of fourteen seconds after using his ice.
"ICYHOT YOU BASTARD," Bakugo roared, launching himself at Todoroki.
"What the hell are you doing here, Half-and-Half?" He scowled, leaning into Todoroki's face.
Todoroki took a calm step back. "I was invited to represent my old man."
He ignored Bakugo's comments and rude remarks with a neutral expression, which only irritated the blond further.
Iida ran over. "Bakugo! Class 1-A must be presentable at all times," He barked. "We can't misrepresent UA to the world."
Melissa smiled a little as she watched everyone. "You guys are amazing, you know?"
Momo blinked. "Really?"
"Of course," Melissa beamed. "You and Dekiru already are known for taking down the Hero Killer, and the rest of your class is clearly just as skilled."
Momo's brow twitched at Melissa's use of Izuku's nickname, but she kept her face passive.
"Thank you," She replied, using the smile she used during the formal parties her family held.
Marvin tensed as the group continued to explore, his senses going off violently enough to make Izuku wince.
'Those guys from earlier,' Marvin said, looking around. 'They have something. Stay alert. I don't recognize them from anywhere, so they're not from the League, at least not the ones who attacked us the other day.'
'What could they be planning?' Izuku wondered. 'To plan a crime when the World's Greatest Hero is here, that's insane.'
Marvin paled. 'If they're this confident, they have a countermeasure for him. Which means it's capable of hurting every Hero on this island.'
'Is it another Nomu?' Izuku asked. 'Can you tell?'
Marvin shook his head. 'I can sense their intent, but without my body, I can't tell anything else.'
Izuku bit his lip. 'Should we?'
'No,' Marvin replied. 'Those pills would drain everyone nearby of their stamina, you most prominently. We need you at full blast to fight off whatever these guys have.'
Izuku nodded. 'We might need to share control. If they believe whatever they have is capable of fighting or beating All Might, then we'll need to go all out.'
'That can wait,' Marvin replied. 'We need to find out what they're doing first.'
"Izuku?" Momo asked, hand on his shoulder. "What's wrong?"
Izuku leaned in. "Marvin found someone on this island, meaning to harm or kill. We don't know who they are, but they probably have a counter to All Might, so stay on your guard."
Momo nodded. "Of course, Izuku."

Author's Note: And we're through Act One of the Movie! Obviously, a LOT of things are going to change due to Marvin being here, Izuku/Momo being stronger, and having their Licenses. Some things won't happen, others will get worse, and others will get better.
