Chapter 4: A Change of Plans

Seated on a chair amidst a macabre scene, the entity surrounded by the metallic scent of blood, casually perused a newspaper. Bodies lay scattered, remnants of a manifestation of its destructive power. Within this gruesome tableau, an endless void unfolded, divided into two realms—one bathed in light with a central green flame, and the other shrouded in darkness, at its core housing the ancient entity.

The entity raised its gaze from the newspaper, contemplating the formidable barrier that separated it from influencing the mind of the quirkless green-haired boy. The child, now five, blissfully unaware, accompanied his mother to kindergarten. Unbeknownst to both, the entity had occupied the boy's mind for a year, patiently awaiting the opportune moment.

The entity found itself facing a translucent barrier, tinted in a subtle yellow hue. Despite the entity's most potent attacks, the barrier stood unyielding. The real challenge, however, was the flame within the child that fueled his aspirations. The news of his quirkless status had momentarily dampened it, but over the year, it had rekindled its vigor.

A sinister chuckle emanated from the entity, recognizing the upcoming challenge of corrupting the child. It acknowledged that it wouldn't need to exert much effort; society would play a significant role in breaking down the barriers. The quirkless boy, already an outcast in kindergarten, had lost his best friend due to societal prejudices, forming small cracks in the once-impenetrable barrier.

The entity chuckled, contemplating the child's dreams of heroism. It decided to allow Izuku, once the barrier shattered and the entity bestowed a fraction of its power upon him, to pursue his dreams. Why? The entity's purpose wasn't solely to destroy or heal society; it sought amusement, having grown bored of its prolonged imprisonment.

Back in the forest by the lake, the corpses of three beings from another universe lay as evidence of the entity's previous source of entertainment. These beings, part of the group that had imprisoned the entity since the time of the Holy Roman Empire, had met their demise at the hands of a mythical creature, the Nue.

The Nue returned to the void within Izuku's mind, an arsenal of mythical creatures controlled by the entity seated on its chair. Observing through Izuku's eyes, the entity witnessed the quirkless child being tormented by his once-best-friend Bakugo Katsuki and his lackeys. A cruel laughter echoed within the entity, anticipating the inevitable breakdown of the barrier.

As more cracks appeared, the laughter intensified—partly from the misfortune of its victim and mostly from the satisfaction of expectations being met. The entity ceased its laughter, returning to the newspaper. The headline foretold a fate even more brutal than Izuku's—an unborn child with grey hair and the power to rewind time. A dark chuckle escaped the entity, acknowledging that perhaps it wasn't the cruelest being in existence after all.

The entity immersed itself in the intricate tapestry of fate, finding amusement in the unfolding tragedies and orchestrations.
