And there he was watching the ex-Sith Lord Darth Maul choking his beloved Satine, Duchess of Mandalore, with his brother Savage Opress beside him. Maul was ready to kill Satine in front of him while the man was defenseless to stop Maul.

'What can I do?!' Obi-Wan Kenobi asked himself.

He knew it was a trap but couldn't bring himself to leave Satine behind to face the danger alone. His concern for the pacifist Duchess was too strong to let her die in this chaotic Galaxy because of him. He realized he had fallen in love with her, but it differed from his familial love for Master Qui-Gon, Anakin, Ahsoka, the 201st and 501st troops, or the love of being a Jedi Master of the Jedi Order. This was his romantic love for Satine, a feeling he had held all those years ago and since reuniting with her during this pointless war.

'And now Maul has her,' Obi-Wan stated angrily. He tried to suppress that emotion cause, as Master Yoda commented, it was the first step to the Dark Side. Yet he doesn't feel like a Sith Lord. Granted, he doesn't know the feeling of the Dark side, just what he knows from the Jedi archives. 'What can I do?! Please, someone guide me.'

'Use the Force, Obi-Wan,' a familiar voice whispered through the Force.

Obi-wan's eyes widen in shock. Everything around him froze as his Master, his father figure, Qui-Gon Jinn, appeared before Maul. He hasn't thought about Qui-Gon since the Battle of Geonosis. And here he was in this blue glow coming to his aid like all those times he was a Padawan.

'Master? Is that you?' The Jedi Master almost felt like crying.

'Yes, it's I, my Padawan.' Qui-Gon smiled as he finally saw his Padawan, his oldest son again. 'It's so good to see you again, Obi-Wan.'

'Master, I need your guides. How can I save Satine and her people from him!'

'Trust in the Force and only the Force.'

'Trust in the Force?' How could he trust it when there is darkness surrounding it?! If he used the Dark side, then he would be corrupt?! Satine and her people would be more dangerous if he used the Dark side! 'I can't not! Only the weak would dare to use the Dark side, Master!'

'How would you know that? Remember what I always said: "Focus on the here and now." You had always been strong, but you let your fear of the Dark Side blind you.'

Obi-Wan didn't know if he could frown or laugh at his Master. Qui-Gon wasn't the type of Jedi to let the fear of the unknown stop him. 'But Master Yoda says I should be mindful of the future.'

'Not at the expense of the moment, my Padawn. Obi-Wan, I want you to know that I truly believe in you. I understand the difficult situation, but I believe you can overcome it. Please use the Force now and save Satine.'

Obi-Wan bowed, 'I will, Master. Thank you.'

In a moment of clarity, Obi-Wan heeded his Master's advice and summoned the Force within him. He effortlessly caught the Darksaber with unwavering focus and embraced Satine as she flew towards him. At that moment, Obi-Wan realized the limitless power that resided within him.

After landing on his chest, Satine was filled with shock and horror as she looked into the eyes of her beloved Obi-Wan. His once beautiful gray-blue eyes now resembled those of the red monster. However, despite this transformation, Satine does not feel fear or anger toward her love. She held onto his arms, feeling relieved and safe once again.

The two dark sider users were shocked at how powerful Kenobi had just gotten.

"What's?! How d-?! You used the Dark Side!" Maul laughed in delight like a madman, knowing he had finally broken the famous Jedi Master Obi-wan Kenobi! However, something wasn't right; the Force around Kenobi felt a principal balance?! You are a Sith or a Jedi; you can't be both! Kenobi shouldn't be able to use the Light and Dark sides of the Force!

"No," Obi-wan stated as he looked at them with his now gray-blue eyes again. He activated the Darksaber and got into his fighting stance, the Soresu. "I used the Force. Surender."

Maul and Savage activated their lightsaber and slowly marched toward them. Maul growled, "Let's see if the Force can save you and your Duchess- AHH!"

Obi-Wan quickly reacted by placing a Force shield around them as an explosion was unleashed behind Maul, Savage, and Almce. Bo-Katan and her Nite Owls had finally come! The warrior sister fires her blaster, killing the former Prime Mister. While her second in commando, Ursa, and nephew Korkie killed the two guards around Obi-wan and Satine. Other Mandalorians exited from the windows, forming a protected circle around the Jedi and Duchess with their shields.

"The Duchess is secure," a Mandalorian stated.

"Good. I want this whole building secure."

"Roger." Ursa nodded as she and a couple of Mandalorians were behind her.

"I'm going too," Korkie demanded.

"Korkie-" Satine tried to grab his hand, but the young prince backed away.

"No, Mother, our people need us! I have to help them!"

Bo-Katan nodded, feeling a little proud of her nephew, "You better stay alive, kid."

"Don't worry, you guys." Korkie turned on Obi-Wan's lightsaber and smirked, "I am well protected this time."

As Korkie left with Ursa and the other Mandalorians, Obi-Wan knew he had to find Maul and end it. Once and for all. Satine grabbed his hand as he almost jumped out of the window.

"Ben?"

Obi-Wan knelt and took Satine's hand with a smile. "Don't worry, my love. I'll be okay." He stood up, ready for his last battle against the ex-Sith Lord, but not before kissing the woman he had loved deeply on the lips.

Satine was initially taken aback when Obi-wan Kenobi, the iconic figure of the Jedi Order, kissed her. However, her surprise quickly turned into fondness as she closed her eyes and felt his lips on hers. It was a moment they had both been waiting for and finally, she had her beloved and charming Jedi Master back in her embrace.

As Obi-wan was the first to let go, he was glad to see the dream and satisfaction look in Satine's eyes. "I would be back and safe. I promise," he kissed her forehead, then jumped out the window. Ready to finally put an end to this Sith.

The ex-Death Watch looked at Satine, then at Obi-Wan's direction, then back at Satine. "Huh. I never thought a Jedi would do that, sis."

Satine smiled, "There are many things you don't know about Obi-wan Kenobi, Bo."

"That's still a dumbass name."

Maul roared ferociously, sounding like a blend of Rathtar and Rancor. He had been defeated once again by Kenobi! This was supposed to be his triumphant return to his position as a Sith Apprentice under his Master's tutelage. How could Kenobi possess the power of both the Light and Dark sides of the Force? Such a thing was beyond comprehension.

'Maybe if I report this to my Master, I would be welcome back,' Maul suggested in a hopeful tone. Cause if Kenobi, the embodiment of the Light, can now use the Dark side, then he can teach others, too. Worsely, the 'Choose One' Skywalker! Thats reminder caused Maul to growl more from that thought. 'NO! I wouldn't lose to that backwater brat!'

First, he needs to find Savage, then leave this useless planet with his Crimson Dawn. Screw those other Crime Lords! Let them deal with the fallout of this failed mission.

"Maul!"

The ex-Sith turned around to see his enemy land behind him.

Obi-Wan smirked, "Leaving so soon? You didn't have the chance to see the Statue of Tarre Vizsla. There a lot of history there."

"And miss what you had become. You used the Darkside; you are one of us now."

"No, look what I have risen above."

"I've come to kill your Duchess to make you suffer, but perhaps it's worse to leave you here. As the new Dark side festers into your life and take her life."

"If you define yourself by your power to take life, a desire to dominate to possess, then you have nothing."

"And what do you have?!" Maul grunted as he activated his lightsaber, slashing the fire between them. The only light source was the Mandalorians, who were fighting in the distance and the fire on buildings.

The images of Satine played in his mind. This was his purpose of being here. To save and protect Satine from this evil. "More than you would ever have."

Obi-Wan ignited the Darksaber and assumed his iconic stance while Maul readied his double-bladed saber. This is it. This marked the ultimate showdown between these two. However, the Jedi Master swiftly shifted his perspective to a familiar form- Form IV, the Ataru stance.

Maul was surprised to see Obi-Wan, a master of the Soresu form, using a different style in their fight. The form seemed familiar until Maul realized it was the same one used by Obi-Wan's former Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, whom Maul had killed. 'Ah, you chose your old master's form,' Maul remarked as he studied Obi-Wan. Despite the change in stance, Obi-Wan was using the light side so firmly that it nearly blinded Maul. 'How foolish of you, Kenobi. Now you will die like him!'

Obi-Wan still hasn't moved, waiting for Maul to make the first move. He was remembering his Master's favorite prayer.

Qui-Gon's prayer was this, 'There is passion, yet peace. There is serenity, yet emotion. There is chaos, yet order. There is-'

Maul finally made the first move! He jumped and attempted to bash Obi-Wan's head as he did toward Qui-Gon in the past. However, the Jedi Master dodged the attack and sliced through the former Sith's lightsaber and his through Maul's chest. He was finally defeating Maul once and for all!

'Only the Force!' Obi-Wan finishes the prayer as he turns off his lightsaber.

As the Dathomirian comprehended the horror of his defeat, time seemed to stand still. Maul collapsed into the arms of his nemesis, grunting in pain. Despite the agony, a question still lingered in his mind and soul. He asked, "Tell me, is he the Chosen One?"

Obi-Wan believed that Anakin was the Chosen One, even though the Jedi Council did not consider him as such. At first, he did not share his Master's opinion, but as he spent more time with Anakin, he began to understand why Qui-Gon Jinn had wanted to train him. Anakin had unique qualities that the Jedi Order lacked, such as resourcefulness, compassion, empathy, self-assurance, and modesty. Obi-Wan felt proud of his brother and smiled as he acknowledged that Anakin was the Chosen One. "He is."

"Then he would avenge us! The Sith Lord you have been looking for is... Palpatine," he said in his final moments as the life left his eyes.

Obi-Wan's mind was utterly shocked - the Sith Lord was Sheev Palpatine all along! How was it possible?

'What if I told you that the Republic was now under the control of a dark lord of the Sith?' Count Dooku questioned him on Geonosis a long time ago.

It all made sense in an instant. A lone senator couldn't change the destiny of the Republic, but a Supreme Chancellor with enough power could make a significant difference. Palpatine had deceived them all and had manipulated the Confederacy of Independent Systems through Dooku.

'And Master would've seen through it,' Obi-wan stated with his fists balled. As a padawan, he never understood why his Master refused to do the Republic's mission unless it was for a great cause like the civil war on Mandalore. 'He would've protected Anakin better than I did.' He knew his former Padawan would be heartbroken once he heard the news.

Obi-Wan couldn't help but feel sorry for Maul, who had been used and abused throughout his life by people who only cared about their own goals. He was nothing more than an enslaved person who fought for attention and the worst causes. Horrifically, Obi-Wan saw similarities between Maul and Anakin had Qui-Gon not won Anakin's freedom. It made him wonder if other Force users out there needed help. Had the Jedi Order failed to protect more people like Maul and Anakin? Unfortunately, the Jedi Order could not save more people like Maul and Anakin.

"Obi-Wan!" The Jedi Master looked up to see Satine running toward him.

Obi-Wan smiled lightly as he welcomed Satine into his arms. "Satine. I trust you are alright, my dear?"

"Of course, I am fine, Ben! It's you I should be asking that question." She placed both hands on his beard and asked, "Are you alright?"

Obi-Wan smiled a little, then placed his forehead onto hers. "I'm more than alright, Satine. I am balanced."

Satine knew little about the Force, only the basics of the Light and Dark sides. However, seeing Obi-Wan use both sides of the Force made him feel more at ease and balanced. It was as if the spirit and knowledge of Master Qui-Gon Jinn had entered through Obi-Wan. She even found it quite attractive. Smiling, she said, "That's excellent, my dear."

"It's Duchess Satine!" A random Mandalorian in grey armor shouted, then bowed. "It's great to see you unharmed, Duchess."

Others then bowed gratefully to see their ruler safe and sound.

Satine was beyond shocked as she looked around her. All of these Mandalorians are in different colors and clan symbols. These weren't Maul's super commando or Bo-Katan's Nite Owls. No, these were her New Mandalorians putting back their armor and warrior ways to save her. A pacific forces them to become pacifist as well for many years. Yet, they have gone to battle for her. For Mandalore.

'Was I wrong this whole time?' She asked herself. Was the death of her whole Clan to blame for her extreme ways of pacifism?

Traditional Mandalorians and New Mandalorians pointed their blaster at each other. They were shouting and screaming at each other. Ready to kill each other for nothing now. She can't let that happen! She can't watch her people destroy their self again!

"ENOUGH!" Satine shouted as loud as her poor lungs could take. This caused both groups to stop and look toward the Duchess. "Is this what we are fighting for?! What is there to fight for now?! NOTHING! The evil that plagues our home is gone now!" She turned toward the New Mandalorians. "I am sorry that I force my pacifist ways onto you all. You couldn't have to hide your armor nor your warrior's spirit because of me."

The New Mandalorians looked shocked by their Duchess' statement.

Satine then turned toward the Traditional, saying, "I'm sorry I failed to protect you from Pre Vizsla and Maul. I shouldn't have exiled you all for wanting to keep part of our history alive."

The Traditional Mandalorians were shocked that Duchess Satine apologized to them. What ruler ever apologizes for failing?

"Now, if you would let me-"

One of the super commandos growled, "We don't want your apologies, you Jedi wh-"

"Quiet down, boy, and let the Duchess speak!" A super commando barked as he struck the young warrior's head. He then refocused his attention on Satine. "I am Lieutenant Adam of the Driver Clan. I joined the Death Watch to uphold tradition and make a positive impact. However, all I ended up doing was causing destruction and almost annihilating my planet. I didn't sign up to be a destroyer. What exactly are you proposing, Duchess?"

Satine conveyed her sincere empathy towards the unfortunate gentleman and contemplated supporting those in need. She suggested, "There ought to be a sense of solidarity amongst the Traditional and New Mandalorians, with all identifying simply as Mandalorians. By working together, they could strive towards tranquility while constructively preserving the age-old customs as brave fighters committed to establishing order and concord in the Galaxy."

"Fighting for order and peace?" A Mandalorian questioned. "Mandalorians have never been known for fighting for peace and order, Duchess. The Galaxy won't believe in our new cause."

That caused other Mandalorians to nod in agreement. Throughout history, the Mandalorians have only been known as warriors, bounty hunters, and Jedi killers. But now, they are known as pacifism and terrorism.

"Then let us finally show the Galaxy the good we can do. Let this be our new way of life."

Obi-Wan held Satine's hand for support and vowed not to let her rebuild her home planet alone once again. He feared that he might make the same mistake he had done before and regretted not being there for them. For her. "As the Mand'alor, I will assist the Duchess in upholding the ways of the warriors and creating a balance for our people," he promised.

"A Jedi leading us?! That would shame our ancestors who fought against your people," a Super commando argued.

Bo-Katan caught up with Satine and Obi-Wan, with some of her Nite Owls and her nephew behind her. She expressed her anger, "You were willing to follow the Jedi's ultimate enemy who didn't care about our home or us!" She approached her sister and the Jedi, then looked towards the Super Commandos. "This Jedi is better than Maul and Pre Vizsla. I will follow my sister and our new Mand'alor."

"Tarre Vizsla was a Mandalorian and Jedi," a New Mandalorian stated. "What would make this one different?"

"Are you forgetting that this Jedi is Jedi Master Obi-wan Kenobi?!" A super commando shouted. "He is one of the most powerful Jedi alive!"

"That's more of a reason to have this Jedi as our Mand'alor, fool!" Another commando shouted in excitement. Having an influential leader like Kenobi would shame Maul and Pre Vizsla! More importantly, Kenobi was honorable and would give the Mandalorians real battles.

"Mand'alor Obi-Wan and Duchess Satine, we will follow your way." A Mandalorian agreed.

"Yes, lead us of Mand'alor and Duchess!"

"Show us the way!"

With a radiant smile, Satine celebrated their success. Mandalore was on the verge of being whole again. "Together, let's forge a new path for Mandalore and its people," she declared with conviction. "This is the way!"

The reform Mandalorians cheered with their helmets rising above their heads and cheered, 'This is the way!'.

Satine leaned close to Obi-Wan's ear, whispering, "Since you are my Mand'alor, I could finally become Duchess Satine Kryze-Kenobi." She had always fantasized about marrying Obi-Wan, taking his last name, telling him about Korkie's true origin, growing old together, and ruling Mandalore as husband and wife. "If you're interested..."

Obi-wan's smile grew as he pulled Satine closer to him. He couldn't deny that he had often daydreamed about a life like this with the woman he loved. And now, he finally had the opportunity to live a life similar to Anakin's.

"How can I say no to having you, my dear? If this is the way, then this is the way. If you would still have this sarcasm of a soldier."

"Then I would be the biggest delusion dreamer to say no to you. But first, we must get rid of that ugly armor and bread, my dear."

The new Mand'alor Jedi shouldn't help but smile for this new chapter of his life as Satine pulls him away.

A/N: Although some people may disagree, I was not too fond of the Mandalorians due to their actions in TCW. Not the beloved Clones. They will always be my favorite Mandalorians. While I understand Satine's decision to block their warrior ways to promote peace, I believe that in times of war like the Clone War/the soon-to-be Empire, it's essential for the people to be well-protected and to remember our past, especially since she knows a Jedi who has made a lot of enemies. As for the Death Watch, I couldn't support bombing my recovering home and burning down villages. Instead, I would have used my warrior skills to protect my people and homeworld more covertly like a vigilant. While they may be seen as harsh, they can also be foolish sometimes. The Mandalorian would've been a powerful ally during the war against the Empire(and the First Order, too)! I can only remember Sabine and the Clones that help the Rebel Alliance! Sabine and the Clones! And that's sad. But now, in my story, these badasses are about to remind the Galaxy why they are one of the most vital races in Star Wars. More on that later.

19BBY is the year everything goes to shit for our heroes: Satine's death, Ashoka leaving the Order, the Jedi Purge, the Birth of the Galactic Empire, Padmé's Death, Darth Vader's Birth, and the Birth of the Skywalker Twins! A lot happened this year so that I will give our heroes a breather. Read more about that later!

Yes, I killed Maul. However, who liked his final act of revenge?

One of my favorite what-if scenarios is imagining Obi-Wan wielding the Darksaber. As a Light Side user, it's fascinating how he would handle a unique weapon like the Darksaber. I even envision him wearing Mandalorian armor worthy of his status as a Duke or Mand'alor. Yeah, this will be a headache for me—sorry, guys. But is there a difference between the two or something?! I need help with that!

Anyway, I am always looking forward to the next chapter! Later!

Also RIP Carl Weathers.
