Mikado laid in his bed, lazily looking at the ceiling. He knew he had to get up soon, since Anri was going to come over in a few hours to visit him. And he had yet to take a shower and get dressed. Ever since the Deadwolv killer seemingly vanished and things calmed down in Ikebukuro, Mikado had gone into a deep depression. His friend was dead, and now he didn't even get messages in the chatroom from Onryo. He was saddened Masaomi was gone, but hoped Onryo's absence meant his friend finally crossed over and was at peace. Still the idea he would never see Masaomi again cut deep, like a knife to his heart.
Slowly he crawled out of bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. As he allowed the hot water to beat down on his body, his mind was absent and did not realize the tv in his living area had suddenly turned on. Once done showering and getting dressed he finally heard the sound of a movie playing on his tv. He grabbed his knuckle gun encase it was an intruder, and peeked into the room to see who had turned his tv on. No one appeared to be there, but on the tv was the movie Ringu. The scene of Sadako slowly crawling through a tv was playing on the screen. "What the hell?" He questioned, walking over to the tv to turn it off.
"Wait, don't turn it off, I never get to finish the movie." A familiar voice spoke up. Mikado's heart froze as he recognized the voice. "Ma,ma, Masaomi...?" He whispered, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of his ghostly friend. He then saw the bloodied reflection of Kida Masaomi in the window, and the sight nearly stopped Mikado's heart. The bloodied ghost sighed, and became visible looking at Mikado. "Hey..." He said softly. Mikado opened his mouth to speak, but stopped, unsure what to even say. Why was Masaomi here, why now? Was he here to just talk, or was he here to haunt or even hurt Mikado? He was an Onryo after all.
As if sensing Mikado's fear Masaomi spoke up. "Relax, I am not here to cause any trouble. Came to talk to you, but you were busy, so I decided to watch a movie." Masaomi explained, turning the tv off. "I'll finish it, some day..." He said in a way Mikado couldn't tell if he was genuinely upset that he didn't get to finish the movie, or was just joking. "What, do you want to talk about..?" Mikado finally managed to speak. Masaomi looked at his friend, and frowned seeing the fear and sorrow in Mikado's eyes. He hated it when people would look so scared of him. But, his own friend being scared made it worse.
"The storm yesterday. It, wasn't a storm." Masaomi said looking down. "Ah?" Mikado questioned, unsure what Masaomi meant. "It, was some form of portal. I think, it was a portal to hell itself opening outside the city." The yellow scarf said, looking at Mikado. Mikado's eyes widened. "What?!" Mikado gasped. "It closed now, but things escaped it, several creatures. Demon like things, and one strange figure in a cloak covering them head to toe." Masaomi explained. Mikado was silent listening to his ex-best friend. Despite how insane what Masaomi was telling him sounded, he believed it. After all, he was literally talking to a ghost, and knew a dullahan. So why not believe in demons?
Mikado closed his eyes, and clenched his fists. "How many came out of the portal?" He asked. Masaomi looked surprised by this question, but then answered. "Three little ones, one human sized one that looked like your traditional demon almost, and, a spider one. It looked almost like a Jorogumo actually. You know those prostitute spiders of myth, half beautiful woman, half spider. And the cloaked figure. They each ran off into different directions. Only one of them appeared to be headed to the city when I saw them. The cloaked one. It sounds crazy, but they saw me. Even though I was making it so no one can see me. It was like the being was in shock by my appearance, and then..well.." Masaomi stopped, thinking of what happened next.
"And then what?" Midao questioned. "I heard a car coming and I left, but as I left, I saw it was Saburo's van. And the van, literally ran the cloaked figure over. Last thing I saw was Erika and the gang exiting the van to see if the figure was alive. I wanted to stay but I noticed one of the little demons watching. So, I lured it away from the van gang before it could hurt any of them." Masaomi explained. Mikado sighed, debating what to do. "I wanted to warn you about it. That way if you see anything, not normal. Avoid it. It may be deadly." Masaomi added, getting up like he was going to leave. "Wait, Masaomi," Mikado stopped him.
"Please don't go..." He said looking at the ghostly yellow scarf. Masaomi frowned. "I'm sorry, but I can't stay here. I don't want to risk your safety." Masaomi said softly, seemingly vanishing into the air. Mikado looked down crying. After a while he calmed down. He needed to warn Anri, and anyone else who may believe him. And, he needed to contact Kadota and the gang. He needed to know if they were okay, and what did they run over with the van.
