The tunnels of Mt. Glenn echoed with the cadence of footsteps, accompanied by distant gunfire and shouts. Another group was engaged in battle with the White Fang, providing Team RWBY, led by Blake, an opportunity to stealthily navigate the dim passages. Their goal was to unveil the White Fang's plans while the group was preoccupied with what they presumed to be huntsmen who were after the White Fang as well.

As they turned a corner, Yang noticed a lone White Fang member patrolling the area, armed and vigilant. With swift and controlled movements, Yang approached the Faunus from behind. A precise strike to the back of the head rendered the White Fang member unconscious on the dusty concrete. The team gathered around, exchanging approving glances for Yang's effective takedown.

Just as they began to plan their next move, a shadow emerged from the darkness. Another White Fang member, clad in their distinctive attire, rushed forward with fury.

"You human scum!" the enraged White Fang member spat, glaring at their fallen comrade and then fixing their gaze on Yang. "You'll pay for what you've done!"

Yang calmly cracked her knuckles, a grin spreading across her face. The rest of Team RWBY looked on, concerned but ready to support their teammate. Blake, who had a complicated history with the White Fang, offered a knowing insight.

"They're not zealous without reason," Blake remarked quietly, her eyes focused on the angry Faunus. "The White Fang's loyalty runs deep, even if it's misplaced."

The White Fang member, consumed by anger, lunged at Yang with a series of ferocious attacks. Yang skillfully dodged and parried the blows, showcasing her agility and combat prowess. After a series of well-timed strikes, Yang disarmed the White Fang member and pinned them against the concrete wall.

"Now, why don't you tell us who's pulling the strings?" Yang demanded, her eyes narrowing.

The White Fang member, defiant and still seething with anger, sneered at Yang. "I won't betray my kind!"

Yang's patience wore thin, and her grip tightened. "You can either talk willingly, or we can do this the hard way."

Team RWBY awaited the White Fang member's decision. The tunnels of Mt. Glenn seemed to hold their breath when the gunfire somewhere stopped. The White Fang member continued to resist, growling defiantly in the face of Yang's intimidation. Blake, determined to gather information, searched the Faunus for any clues or documents that might reveal their plans. However, the thorough search yielded no valuable information.

"This is bad. We're not getting any closer to finding their leader," Weiss voiced her concern, her gaze shifting between the unyielding White Fang member and her assertive teammate. "And we're damn exhausted, shouldn't we let the Huntsmen handle the White Fang now?"

"No! We have to search more! They're already looking for us with the stolen Paladins. We can't afford to waste time here," Blake added, frustration in her voice as she stood up from the pointless search.

Ruby, with Crescent Rose readied, chimed in, "Well, we made quite an entrance last time. Sneaking around this time might throw them off. Not to mention that there are others attacking them already."

Yang released the White Fang member, giving them a stern look before knocking them out. "We need to find their leader before things get even messier. As much as I'd like to pummel every member we find to the ground, let's stick to the shadows and gather intel without attracting too much attention."

A plan I can agree with, I guess. But seriously, if we happen to run into any huntsmen who can actually fight, we're totally toast! Just saying," Weiss reminded.

Team RWBY nodded in agreement, and they resumed their stealthy approach through the tunnels. Their footsteps echoed in the narrow passages as they navigated the convoluted network beneath Mt. Glenn, wary of encountering more White Fang members armed with powerful weaponry. They might have an aura, but the white fang members had been putting up a fight, chipping away their auras with their numbers. Aura protects, but it rarely protects them from pain either.

As the team pressed on through the tunnels, managing to evade larger frenzied White Fang patrols and engaging in skirmishes with smaller groups when necessary. The air was thick with tension as they tiptoed, the occasional clash of weapons and Faunus voices echoing through narrow passages.

Pausing to catch their breath in a somewhat secluded spot, Weiss couldn't help but express her frustration. "Ugh, seriously, this was such a terrible idea. Like, there are just too many of them, and obviously, we're totally over our heads. I mean, hello, I did mention we should have planned this better!"

Blake, already on edge, turned sharply to Weiss. "Then why are you here if it's such a bad idea?"

Weiss sighed, her tone serious. "Because you're my teammate, Blake. We're here because you're here. We need to accompany you."

Blake's eyes narrowed, her frustration boiling over. "I didn't ask for anyone to follow me. I can handle this on my own."

"Must you really persist with such banal remarks, you reckless fool?" Weiss sneered.

Yang stepped in, sensing the escalating tension. "Guys, now is not the time for this. We need to stay focused and find their leader."

Weiss, still visibly frustrated, shot back at Blake, "Maybe if you had been more open with us from the beginning, we wouldn't be in this mess."

Blake's ears flattened against her head, and she retorted, "This is not the time or place, Weiss!"

Yang stepped between them, her eyes serious. "Enough. We're in this together now, whether we like it or not. We can sort out our issues later. Right now, we need to find something that will make this trip worth it!"

Ruby tried to say something, but zipped her mouth instead.

The tension lingered in the air, but Yang's intervention prompted a reluctant agreement from both Weiss and Blake. With a shared nod, Team RWBY refocused their efforts.

Ruby, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the situation, sheepishly spoke up, "Um, where do we even start? How are we supposed to find their leader in this place? We've been running around for a while now."

Weiss surveyed their surroundings. "Well, judging by the patterns of the forces we've encountered and my rudimentary knowledge of Mt. Glenn, there might be a train. The White Fang could be using it to transport troops or supplies."

Ruby raised an eyebrow. "How do you figure that?"

Weiss sighed, as if tired of explaining the obvious. "Its basic tactics. If they're moving large numbers of troops efficiently, a train in these tunnels would be the logical choice. Maybe you all should read up on the history of places before diving headfirst into danger."

Ruby blinked, taken aback by Weiss's bluntness. "Uh, okay, but how do we find the train?"

Weiss, now in planning mode, ignored the question and continued, "If there's a train, there has to be a control center or a hub nearby. That's where we'll find the leader, or at least some information."

"Okay, then let's keep moving, stay vigilant, and look for any signs of this transportation hub then!" Yang agreed with a crack of her knuckles.

Blake, stewing with her own thoughts, then added to Weiss's deduction. "If they're planning something big, they'd likely use the train to transport whatever it is. And considering the size of their forces, it could be a significant threat. The train would be the most efficient way to deliver it."

She scowled at the implications, her mind racing with the potential danger. "If they target Vale and manage to lead the Grimm into the city, it would be catastrophic. "

The gravity of the situation settled on the team as they pressed. Following Weiss's deduction and Blake's added insights, Team RWBY moved with heightened caution through the twisting tunnels. Evading the White Fang patrols and the stolen mechs with Blake taking the lead, her Faunus senses attuned to the slightest signs of danger.

The tunnels echoed with the occasional distant clatter of metal and dust rounds, and the air grew thick with worry. Blake led the team through narrow passages and compartments, avoiding confrontation when possible and striking swiftly when necessary. Each member of Team RWBY played their part, their skills complementing one another as they navigated the uncertain places of Mt. Glenn.

The stolen mechs, even one of them, were a challenge. But Blake's instincts proved invaluable in avoiding their detection, and the team moved with a synchronicity to sneak away from them.

As Team RWBY reached the suspected location of the White Fang's transportation hub, the distant sound and vibrations of a moving train confirmed their deduction. However, before they could react, the team found themselves ambushed by an agile fighter in a white mask who appeared out of the shadows, as if it had been waiting for them.

In a sudden and brutal attack, the assailant seized Weiss, forcefully grabbing her head and slamming it against the cold, dusty wall. The impact caused Weiss's aura to flicker, and her expression contorted in pain. Ruby shouted, her voice filled with both anger and concern.

"Let her go!"

Ruby transformed into a burst of petals, engaging the unknown assailant with a burst of speed. Twirling Crescent Rose in a deft display of skill. However, to her horror, she found herself being matched in agility and ferocity. The faunus deftly countered her attacks, his movements calculated and precise.

The dark tunnels became a narrow stage as Ruby clashed with the unknown enemy, their strikes reverberating through the confined space. The rest of Team RWBY moved into action, each member defending Weiss and subdue the dangerous opponent.

Yang charged forward, her fists ablaze, while Blake circled the fray, ready to strike from the shadows with her clones.

But as Blake get a clear view of who their attacker was, a chill run down her spine. There was a cold pit in her stomach as she recognized Adam Taurus, a person from a past she's been running away from. The memories of her time with the White Fang and the traumatic events involving Adam surfaced, stirring a mix of fear and unease.

Weiss, recovering from the impact against the wall, stood up with determination, ready to pose for combat. However, Blake, her eyes widening with fear, swiftly moved to intercept Weiss. She placed herself between Weiss and Adam, a protective and wary stance.

"Stop, Weiss," Blake pleaded, her voice strained. "He's too dangerous. I can't... I won't let you get hurt. We can't fight him like this."

Weiss, sensing the urgency in Blake's voice, hesitated and lowered her rapier. The tension in the tunnel thickened as Adam Taurus briefly retreated and stood opposite them, his white fang mask focused on Blake.

"Blake Belladonna," Adam sneered, his voice laced with disdain. "Running away again, are we, darling?"

Blake's ears flattened against her head, a mixture of fear and anger in her gaze. "This isn't the way, Adam. We don't have to fight."

But Adam, consumed by his own vendettas, showed no sign of relenting. The air crackled with hostility as Team RWBY found themselves in a dangerous situation. Their instincts told them that Adam Taurus was still in peak condition, unlike them, who had spent the last few minutes fighting through the tunnels. They had depleted most of their aura while their enemy was still in the best shape.

It was not looking good.

Sensing the immediate danger, Yang made a quick decision and retreated, pulling back with Weiss as Ruby stepped forward to join Blake. The two pairs eyed each other with concern as the tension in the tunnel reached a boiling point.

Ruby, exchanging glances with Yang, called out to Blake, "Do you know this guy? What's going on?"

Blake, her gaze never leaving Adam, reluctantly nodded. "His name is Adam Taurus. He was... he used to be a part of the White Fang. But he's dangerous, and we need to be careful."

Yang, still recovering from the sudden retreat, raised an eyebrow. "Why is he here, and why is he attacking us?"

Blake's expression tightened with a mixture of guilt and unease. "He's leading the White Fang here... he had to be. We have a history, and he has a grudge against me. Let me handle this."

Ruby, her concern for her teammates evident, insisted, "We're not leaving you alone to deal with this. We're a team, Blake."

Adam, taking advantage of the momentary distraction, lunged forward with a swift strike. Adam seized a moment to taunt Blake. "Heh, 'Used to be a part of the White Fang', you say? What changed exactly, Blake?"

Blake, focused on defending against Adam's relentless attacks, retorted, "The White Fang I knew fought for Faunus' rights, not for some twisted ideology that endangers innocent lives!"

Adam scoffed, his voice dripping with derision. "Semantics, Blake. You're just running away from the truth. The White Fang needed a powerful leader, someone who wouldn't let humanity trample over us. But you betrayed us. You betrayed me."

Blake, her eyes narrowing, scolded Adam, "No, Adam. I left because I couldn't condone the violence and destruction you embraced. This isn't the White Fang I believed in."

Adam sneered, dismissing her words. "Always with your excuses, running away and pretending to be a hero. You abandoned the cause when it needed you the most. Tell me, what is the difference between us? Your recent actions, such as burning down the Vale docks and causing that accident on the motorway by chasing after Torchwick, endangered so many lives. If I hadn't seen you standing next to a Schnee today, I would have thought you were making our jobs easier for us, spreading terror in the name of the White Fang."

Blake gritted her teeth.

Adam's words echoed with seething hatred as he continued to press Blake, "Why did you leave, Blake? And why, out of all people, did you choose to befriend the blood of our oppressors — the ones responsible for the mistreatment of our Faunus brothers and sisters? Aligning yourself with a Schnee, of all people, is the most vile betrayal!"

Blake's eyes hardened, a mixture of anger and determination in her gaze. "It's not about alliances, Adam. It's about choosing a path that doesn't involve hatred and violence. I won't be part of a cause that uses terror to achieve its goals. It isn't what the White Fang was made for!"

Adam, fueled by his own bitterness, retorted, "Your naïve ideals will get you nowhere, Blake. You can't escape the reality of the world we live in. And the Schnee family represents everything that's wrong with it."

Ruby couldn't stay silent as Adam continued his tirade. "Weiss isn't like her family! She's different!" Ruby shouted, her voice filled with determination.

Adam snorted dismissively. "Nicholas Schnee, the supposed 'good one.' tricked our Faunus ancestors! He had ideals! But where did his ideals get him? Nowhere! The SDC is still built on the suffering of Faunus. The current president might be worse, but it was Nicholas who laid the foundation. Nothing changed."

Blake, defending her teammate, added, "Weiss is trying to change things from within. She doesn't agree with her family's practices. You're wrong about her, Adam."

But Adam, driven by his own resentments, continued his verbal assault. "Trying to change from within? That's a fantasy, Blake. The Schnees are all the same. They build their empire on the backs of the Faunus, just like the rest of humanity. Is the men and women who had their families broken apart, trampled, and left without dignity enough to absolve them? No, they are rotten, and to cleanse them from history is what we need to do."

Blake, desperation in her voice, pleaded with Adam, "Adam, please! This isn't the way. We can't resort to violence and terror. It only perpetuates the cycle of hatred."

Adam, conflicted but fueled by his own convictions, responded bitterly, "Blake, I loved you. But you've betrayed us by aligning with a Schnee. The kingdoms need to understand the pain we've endured, and if they won't listen to our peaceful protests or read our placards, then they must feel the consequences. Threats are the only language they understand, and I am simply conveying our message!"

Adam disappeared from his spot and reappeared in front of Weiss. Fueled by intense hatred, Adam shifted his focus solely onto Weiss, ignoring Blake altogether. Ruby, Yang, and Blake moved in, attempting to defend Weiss from the relentless onslaught. However, Adam's speed and skill proved overwhelming, and the trio found themselves struggling to keep up with his vicious attacks. Tired from battling the White Fang members with little aura to spare, they were slower, and with minimal aura left, their hits landed with less force.

The killing intent emanating from Adam caused Weiss to falter as the pressure of his attacks intensified. The intense hatred he harbored for the Schnee bloodline consumed him, and in that moment, any fleeting obsessions with Blake were forgotten. His sole focus became shedding Weiss's blood on the cold, unforgiving concrete.

Despite the team's efforts to protect Weiss, Adam's fierce assault pushed them to their limits. His strikes were precise, and his movements were a deadly dance, evading their attempts to thwart him.

Adam skillfully parried the attacks from Ruby, Yang, and Blake. His movements resembled a deadly tango, countering their every strike with precision. In a swift and brutal move, he grabbed Yang's hair, tossing her to the side with a forceful throw. Ruby's weapon was disarmed with a calculated strike, and before she could react, Adam delivered a punishing knee to her chin, leaving her momentarily stunned.

Locking blades with Blake, Adam engaged her in a fierce one-on-one duel, the clash of steel echoing through the tunnel. Meanwhile, Weiss attempted to retreat, recognizing the danger posed by Adam's overwhelming skill. However, Wilt and Blush's rifle-sheathe shot her, catching Weiss off guard and shattering her aura.

Weiss gritted her teeth in pain, the effects of the attack leaving her vulnerable. Adam, persistent in his pursuit, struck a devastating blow to Blake. "Weiss, look out!" Her warning to Weiss turned into a desperate shout as Adam backhanded her, sending her reeling.

"You need to learn your lessons," Adam sneered, his tone laced with an icy determination. He then disappeared in a blur of motion, reappearing in front of Weiss with lethal intent.

Just in the nick of time, Ruby activated her semblance, pulling Weiss out of harm's way. Yang, her hair ablaze with the fiery power of her semblance, lunged at Adam with a fiery punch. However, Adam deftly blocked her attack with his weapon, absorbing the kinetic energy, and effortlessly kicking Yang off balance.

In a rapid and calculated series of moves, Adam proceeded to combo Yang, whose attempts to defend herself grew increasingly desperate as her aura waned. His roundhouse kick sent Yang crashing into the wall, leaving her momentarily incapacitated.

With a cold, robotic focus, Adam turned his attention back to Weiss, the embodiment of his seething hatred. The bull Faunus engaged Ruby in a swift and agile spectacle, their weapons clashing in a dazzling display of skill.

"Watch out for his Semblance! Don't let him use it!" Blake, despite her recent injury, warned them.

Despite Ruby's skill, Adam's wealth of experience gave him an edge in the fast-paced duel. His weapon's hilt caught Ruby off guard, disrupting her rhythm and allowing him to press the advantage. Weiss, reacting swiftly to defend her teammate, stepped in between Ruby and Adam, blocking his weapon. However, despite Weiss's best efforts, Adam's skillful maneuvers and ruthless determination proved challenging to counter. In a swift and precise strike, Adam grazed Weiss, drawing blood and leaving her wounded.

Weiss winced in pain and barely guarded with her rapier as Adam tried to wound her further.

Yang, fueled by her rage to protect her teammates, dashed in to pair up with Blake against Adam. However, despite their combined efforts, using combinations of fist and blade to knock him off his feet, Adam's extreme focus and combat prowess allowed him to fend off their attacks effortlessly. His main priority remained finishing off Weiss, and every move he made was a calculated step towards that goal.

With a rapid unsheathing of his weapon, Adam engaged in a series of lightning-fast strikes, seamlessly sheathing his weapon to hit. His mastery of unarmed combat became apparent as he utilized kicks and grabs in addition to his deadly swordsmanship. The synergy of Blake and Yang, usually a formidable force, seemed to falter against the precision and skill of their foe. Their auras dwindling as Adam landed quick blows.

Blake, desperate to find a resolution, begged Adam to stop.

"Please stop this!"

However, a red haze clearly overshadowed Adam's emotions. His singular focus on shedding Schnee blood made him only focus on Weiss's demise.

In a relentless display of swordsmanship skill and tenacity, Adam mowed through Team RWBY, his attacks flowing seamlessly from one opponent to the next. Wilt and Blush in his off-hand as he grabbed onto Weiss's neck with his right, intent on choking the life out of her. His fingers digging into her thin neck.

Ruby, wielding Crescent Rose, lunged forward to halt Adam's assault on Weiss. However, Adam, displaying uncanny reflexes, effortlessly parried Ruby's attack. The cold, calculated gaze behind his mask bore into Ruby's determined silver eyes. In a swift move, Adam utilized the sheath of his weapon, stunning Ruby with a rifle shot and leaving her momentarily vulnerable. This allowed Adam to land a kick on the side of her neck, which Ruby barely stopped with her thin arms, shielding her head from the butt of Adam's sheath attempting to break her face. Slapping Ruby's arms, her Crescent Rose slipped out of her grasp. Adam took advantage of the situation, shooting her point blank in the chest. Ruby's aura shattered, and the impact of the dust round forced most of the air out of Ruby's lungs, causing her to spit blood.

"Get off her!"

As Weiss regained a portion of her aura, a surge of willpower overcame her. With renewed focus, she summoned her Glyphs and transformed into a blur of white motion, temporarily freezing Adam in his tracks with her ice dust before he could pull the trigger on his sheath and finish off Ruby. The momentary respite allowed the team to catch their breath, though with their auras depleted and injuries slowing them down, they couldn't effectively counter the bloodthirsty Adam Taurus.

"Weiss, now!" Ruby demanded as she got back on her feet, recognizing the need to retreat. They couldn't fight Adam in this state. The White Fang may have been fodder to them, but their numbers had given Adam the advantage he now held. He was capitalizing on their battle-weary states to overpower them. They had to escape before he gets the chance!

With Adam immobilized by ice dust, Team RWBY made their way through the narrow passages of Mt. Glenn. However, there was little time for respite as Adam's dreadful voice echoed behind them, calling out to Blake.

"Running away again, Blake?" Adam sneered, his tone cutting through the dimly lit tunnel. Ruby fired shots with Crescent Rose, forcing Adam to stand back as he avoided the collapsing passage. "You all can't fight now that you aren't targeting warriors? Where is that grin of yours as you beat down my brothers and sisters? Where is it!?"

Blake, faltering for a moment, tightened her grip on her weapon. The echoes of her past, of the White Fang and the haunting presence of Adam, seemed to weigh heavily on her shoulders. She was tired, and the state of her team made her hesitate. Guilt overwhelmed her. "I was too reckless. Of course, I should have seen it coming. With many White Fang members here, there's no way they'd follow human orders unless it was Adam who told them to do so!"

"Blake, snap out of it, damn it!" Before Blake could respond, Yang unleashed a shotgun blast from her Ember Celica towards Adam, who had cut through the collapsed passage.

To their surprise, Adam casually blocked the blast with his weapon, the crimson glow of his mask revealing a calm and unwavering demeanor.

Team RWBY continued their retreat. But no matter how fast they moved, the ominous presence of Adam trailed closely behind, a relentless force that thwarted any attempt at escape.

The tunnel became a haunting stage, shadows dancing as the team sprinted through the passages, the echo of footsteps mingling with the oppressive atmosphere. The occasional glint of Adam's weapon and the chilling sound of his footsteps added to the sense of impending dread.

Yet, the worst part wasn't the pursuit. It was the way he kept them nervous, afraid. He didn't rush in, and despite his fury, he maintained control, ready to unleash it when he closed in. Letting them use whatever stamina and aura remained before sinking his horns into them.

A mixture of fear and determination fueled Team RWBY as they pushed forward, desperately seeking an exit from the suffocating depths of Mt. Glenn. Their triumphant moments, from the recent fight against the White Fang members, had transformed into a harrowing experience of escape.

The hunt continued, and the tunnel seemed to stretch on indefinitely, casting a shadow over their hopes of breaking free from the predator following them.

Yang, attempting to break the oppressive atmosphere, quipped, "Is this guy your typical ex, Blake? He's really holding a grudge against us, damn it!"

Blake, usually quick with a retort, remained silent, her gaze shifting between Weiss, who was bleeding, and Ruby, with blood on her mouth, visibly shaken by the sight of the injured Weiss. The guilt in Blake's eyes was palpable as she grappled with the consequences of the confrontation with Adam.

Sensing the gravity of the situation, Yang let the attempted humor fade, concern lining her features. "We need to find a way out of this. We can't keep running forever, and Weiss needs help."

But they were prey at the moment. Exhausted, they still felt the relentless predator's eyes on them as Adam, like a wraith of vengeance, closed in on Team RWBY, he separated them from each other with a quick draw of his Wilt and Blush, thrusting his sword's pommel into Ruby's shoulder, pinning Yang against the wall, and slapping Blake away with the sheath of his weapon. Once again, he focused his relentless fury on Weiss. In a swift and brutal move, he attempted to cleave her in two with his weapon. The air crackled with tension as Weiss, in a display of quick thinking, managed to disarm Adam with a thrust of her weapon, loosening his grip on his sword.

However, the Bull Faunus proved to be too quick and agile. He deftly ducked under Weiss's thrust, closing the distance between them. In a sudden and ferocious move, Adam punched Weiss in the face, knocking her flat on the ground. He mounted her, and with unbridled rage, began delivering powerful blows to her face. The sound of firm knuckles meeting pale flesh echoed in a brutal display of impactful thuds as he inflicted damage, breaking her nose and bruising her scarred eye in the process.

Weiss, despite the pain, raised her arms to block his relentless assault. Adam's angry shouts filled the tunnel as he raged against the Schnee bloodline. "It's your blood that caused the Faunus so much pain! Your kind are better wiped off alongside your fellow oppressors! Atlas will burn! The Faunus will be free from all of you despicable humans!"

The sounds of the brutal assault echoed, each punch a painful reminder of the deep-seated hatred that fueled Adam Taurus and the entire White Fang. The team watched in horror as Weiss's face bruised and bled, her once-beautiful features now brutalized as Adam took pleasure in his unarmed assault.

"You bastard!" Yang, with burning fury, charged at Adam with a desperation to free Weiss from his relentless onslaught. However, Adam, enraged and thrilled by his fist soaked with Schnee blood, kept his guard up, grabbed his Wilt, and, using the hit from Yang to his advantage by absorbing the kinetic energy, had his semblance fueled by Yang's Semblance. His hair and the markings on his attire and mask glowed red. Yang sensed something was coming, retreated, and tried to defend, but Adam didn't let her. With a swift and calculated move, he struck her in the stomach with his sword half-drawn, breaking her aura.

Sheathing his sword and activating his Semblance, Moonslice, Adam delivered a devastating strike that severed Yang's entire arm from her body. Without aura to defend her, the sharp edge of his aura-infused blade, powered by his Semblance, cut through flesh and bone effortlessly. The air was filled with agonizing screams of pain as Blake, witnessing the horrifying scene, screamed in terror.

Yang felt her breath ragged and her heart pounding in her chest. The metallic tang of blood filled the air as she looked down where her arm used to be. The pain was excruciating, but it was nothing compared to the fear that gripped her.

"H-huh?"

Yang, stunned by her missing arm, didn't notice that as Adam advanced, a sinister grin carved across his face. Suddenly, he lashed out with a backhanded strike, the force of which sent Yang sprawling to the ground. The impact reverberated through her body, intensifying the pain in her severed arm and leaving her disoriented.

Yang's vision blurred for a moment, and the world around her seemed to spin. She fought to regain her bearings, struggling to push herself back up. The taste of blood lingered in her mouth. Her remaining hand instinctively reached for the ground, fingers planted into the concrete as she tried to steady herself.

With a disdainful scoff, he pressed his leg on Yang's remaining arm , leaving her defenseless against his next strike. His cold glowing mask locked onto her. The cruel smirk on his face sent shivers down her spine. Yang's body trembled as she tried to process the reality of losing her arm. The weight of her vulnerability settled heavily on her shoulders. She felt exposed, defenseless, and the sight of Adam only intensified those feelings. She couldn't let fear consume her, but it clawed at the edges of her resolve.

Was she going to die here?

The red glow of his semblance danced across the blade. Yang's eyes widened, and a cold sweat formed on her brow. She couldn't bring herself to move with her arm pinned and her body paralyzed by a mix of physical pain and overwhelming fear.

Adam sneered. "You should have known better. Then again, it seems like Blake kept me a secret."

Yang's breaths came in shallow gasps as she desperately searched for a way out. Her remaining hand clenched into a fist, nails digging into her palm. She felt the panic rising within her, threatening to engulf her entirely. She can't die here.

She can't!

In that moment, Yang's eyes flickered to Blake rushing at Adam while fueled by a mixture of fear and fury, Blake seized the opportunity to attack him. With a desperate yet skillful maneuver, she unleashed her clones, overwhelming Adam in a flurry of attacks. The clones moved with synchronicity born of desperation and anger, their strikes a testament to Blake's agile and unpredictable fighting style.

Amidst the chaotic clash, Adam found himself momentarily overwhelmed. Blake's hits landed with precision, a testament to her desire to protect her friends. However, seemingly unfazed, Adam mocked Blake, "You really do fight better when angered, don't you?"

His words, laced with disdain, fueled Blake's resolve even further. Adam taunted her. "I'm not done yet, not until I wipe this Schnee off the face of Remnant!"

"A family built on the suffering of our kind. They parade their wealth and power, looking down upon the Faunus as if we're nothing more than beasts. And yet, here you are, helping her! You are lost! Tamed! Converted! You've abandoned everything that we stood for!"

Blake's eyes narrowed as she listened. She propped Gambol Shroud and met Adam's strike.

"The White Fang," Adam continued, his voice rising with fervor, "will no longer bow to the whims of those who see us as lesser than animals. We will rise as a force to be reckoned with. No longer confined to the shadows, we refuse to be trampled upon," he declared, his tone zealous as he allowed himself to become lost in anger. "We will bite, claw, tear, and sting at our oppressors until they understand that we are not to be underestimated. We are not pawns to be tamed and discarded. And right now Blake, you are now standing in our way!"

Blake's gaze hardened, her resolve strengthening with each word that passed Adam's lips. She was being battered and broken, but the fire within her burned brighter than ever. She wouldn't let Adam's twisted vision of justice prevail. She had to stop her! But right now what she needed to do was save her friends!

As Blake held Adam back, Ruby speed across the tunnel in a burst of red petals, her silver eyes fixed on Yang's fallen form. She skidded to a halt beside her sister, eyes widening at the sight of the bleeding wound. Panic gripped her, but determination fueled her movements.

"Yang! Hang in there!" Ruby's voice quivered with a mix of fear and resolve as she fumbled through her pack, hands trembling. She clumsily retrieved a makeshift bandage, her movements desperate and hurried.

Weiss, despite her own injuries, pushed through the pain and joined Ruby. The cold determination in her remaining unbruised eye matched the grim situation. Gritting her teeth, she grabbed a fire dust casing from her belt and ignited it with a controlled burst of aura. The flame danced dangerously in her palm.

"Hold her steady, Ruby," Weiss instructed, her voice tight with urgency. "This is going to hurt, but it's the only way to stop the bleeding."

Ruby nodded, her grip on Yang's severed arm tightening. She winced as Weiss carefully pressed the fiery casing against the wound. The sizzle and the scent of burning flesh filled the air as the fire dust worked its cauterizing magic. Yang groaned in pain, her eyes squeezing shut.

Weiss clenched her jaw, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. The process was agonizing, but it was a necessary evil. Once the bleeding was stemmed, she swiftly moved to address her own injuries, utilizing the limited resources at hand.

Ruby, still holding onto Yang's arm, looked into her sister's pained eyes with a mix of fear and determination. "We've got you, Yang. Just hang in there."

Despite being battered from the earlier assault and having only one eye to see through the blood, Weiss managed to stabilize Yang. She then lifted Yang onto her shoulders, shouting at Blake to buy them time with her bloodied mouth. Despite the pain she was experiencing, Weiss's mind worked efficiently, recognizing the need to retreat.

"Blake, distract him! We need to get out of here!" Weiss urged, determination burning in her eyes despite her wounds.

With a feral determination in her eyes, Blake swung Gambol Shroud in a wide arc, attempting to catch Adam off guard. However, his combat prowess proved formidable. In a deft and calculated move, Adam parried her strikes effortlessly, his red-tinged blade meeting hers with deadly precision.

Their clash intensified, a dance of blades and shadows. In a moment of vulnerability, Blake lunged forward, aiming for a decisive strike. But Adam, with a cruel grin, sidestepped her attack and swiftly retaliated. His blade cut through the air, slicing across Blake's stomach. A gasp of pain escaped her lips as she staggered backward, clutching her wounded abdomen.

Blake, still reeling from the recent wound feigned a moment of vulnerability. She allowed fear to flicker in her eyes, her body language conveying a sense of desperation. Adam, ensnared by his own arrogance and driven by the desire to instill fear, couldn't resist the chance to exploit her apparent weakness.

As he advanced, a predatory grin etched on his face, Blake stumbled backward, as if unable to withstand the pressure of his relentless assault. Adam, sensing victory, raised his weapon high, preparing for a finishing strike. The glint of triumph behind the mask only fueled his conviction that he was about to break her.

In that fleeting moment, Blake's façade of fear shattered. With a lightning-fast movement, she scraped all aura within, her Aura flickering as she unleashed a powerful Aura slash.

The energy surged through Gambol Shroud, and with a swift motion, Blake slashed through the air, aiming the attack directly at Adam. The sudden reversal caught Adam off guard, and before he could react, the Aura slash connected with devastating force. Adam was sent flying backward, his expression shifting from triumph to shock as the unexpected power of Blake's counterattack took him by surprise.

With Adam momentarily stunned, Weiss used the rest of her aura to collapse the tunnel with her glyphs in hopes that it would allow Team RWBY to make their escape. The echo of Weiss's breath filled the confined space, drowned out only by the rhythmic pounding of her heart. The cold sweat on her brow betrayed the tension that gripped her, aware that their encounter was far from over. She was so exhausted, her face hurt, and yet through the bloodied mess that was her face - one unbloodied eyes remained burning still. As the passage closed, a sinister laugh reverberated through the air, sending shivers down Weiss's spine. The sound clawed at her nerves.

How much did this guy want to kill her?

"You can't escape, Schnee," Adam taunted, his voice dripping with malice. "This hunt is far from over. One way or another I will find you and shed your blood. Until all Schnee blood is spilled on the ground!"

"Weiss, please, let's go!"

Blake pulled her away, and Team RWBY ran with all the might they had left to escape.

As Adam stood up, cracking his neck, he prepared to resume his pursuit when a sudden interruption occurred in the form of urgent reports from his White Fang comrades coming through his earpiece. Their voices conveyed distress, revealing that they were under attack by an organized group of Huntsmen.

"Adam! Vale Huntsmen are here! It looks like those girls were just another party! These are far more organized and ready for us! You need to help us out, damn it!"

For a brief moment, the bloodthirsty haze that had consumed Adam faded, replaced by a strategic focus. He turned his attention to his White Fang brothers and sisters, understanding the urgency of the situation. With a commanding tone, he ordered them to retreat while assuring them that he would join them in dealing with the Huntsmen threat.

"Fall back! I'll handle this. We can't afford to lose more here. Bonesaw is still heading to Vale," Adam declared, his voice cold and authoritative. "We will buy him time and then retreat!"

"Got it! Focus the paladins on them! The rest are to retreat! Go! Go! Go! Fight back!"

Taking his finger off his earpiece, Adam turned his attention to the direction where Team RWBY had made their escape. The remnants of the collapsed tunnel and the dust that gathered offered no immediate trace of their whereabouts.

In a low, ominous murmur, Adam muttered to himself, "We'll meet again."

The words hung in the air, carrying the weight of a promise or a threat. He turned away, disappearing into the shadows of the tunnel, ready to assist the White Fang members facing the Huntsmen of Vale who had clearly been planning to attack.

He wasn't sure if Blake's team was involved in the operation, but he needed to express gratitude to them for enabling the White Fang to be prepared for the Huntsmen of Vale. Their timely infiltration served as a warning that put his White Fang on high alert the moment the Huntsmen of Vale arrived.

We can still escape here with most of our members.

Whether Bonesaw succeeds in delivering the explosives to Vale or not, it doesn't matter. If they can humiliate Vale's protectors here and taunt them, then Vale will know that not even their best defenders can stop the White Fang's rise.

Meanwhile, Team RWBY was still making their way through the dim and winding tunnels. Blake, fueled by a ferocity unlike her usual calm and composed self, fought off every White Fang member that crossed their path. Fighting rabidly and recklessly, not minding the wounds she's gathering herself.

Finally, the team reached the Vale Huntsmen encampment. Blake, breathless but urgent, approached the Huntsmen with a plea for help. She revealed the threat posed by Adam Taurus and his plan to send a train filled with explosives to Vale.

"Sir," Blake panted, her voice breathless but urgent. "We need your help. Adam Taurus, he's planning something big — something terrible."

The group of Huntsmen turned their attention to her, their expressions shifting from casual vigilance to focused concern, while some rushed to help the wounded girls.

"What's going on, girl?" A huntsman asked, his hand resting on the hilt of his weapon. "Wait, you're just students!?"

Blake took a deep breath, steadying herself. "Adam Taurus, White Fang's leader, has rigged a train full of explosives. He's planning to send it straight into Vale and lead the Grimm to the city. The casualties would be unimaginable. You need to stop him!"

The gravity of her words hung heavy in the air. The other Huntsmen exchanged uneasy glances, grimacing at the severity of the situation.

The Huntsman, sensing the sincerity in Blake's words and the horrible state of her team, could only reluctantly agree. "We should take this seriously. If what she says is true, we don't have much time."

The Huntsman regarded Blake for a moment before turning to the other Huntsmen. "Gather the others! We need to stop that train and neutralize the threat. Vale's depending on us!"

Then another voice cut through the tense air. "So it was you four who went and alerted them! What are students doing here? Do you have any idea what you've done? Your recklessness has alerted the White Fang, and now our colleagues are in a danger because of it!"

Ruby, the leader of Team RWBY, bit her lip, her silver eyes reflecting regret as he got out of her frightened stupor. "We didn't mean for things to go this way. It just... got out of hand."

The frustration in the Huntsman's eyes deepened, but before he could unleash more admonishments, another huntsman stepped forward. It was the huntsman who Blake spoke to first. He laid a hand on the huntsman's shoulder, stopping the angered huntsman in his tracks.

"Easy now. I get it, but look at them," he nodded towards Team RWBY, who were nursing their wounds but still standing. "They've been through hell tonight. For better or worse, we now know what those bastards are doing."

The angered huntsman scowled, ready to argue, but the reasonable one continued. "The plan is still on, and we can't afford to waste time pointing fingers. We've got a chance to strike a blow against the White Fang, and we'll take it. They might have stirred the hornet's nest, but we're not out of this fight yet. We'll regroup, push forward, and finish what we started here."

The Angered Huntsman's gaze shifted from anger to understanding as he observed the sorry expressions on Team RWBY's faces. Ruby held Yang's arm, with Yang barely conscious and leaning on Weiss, who herself, struggled to breathe through her broken nose while Blake held her stomach in pain. The weight of the situation pressed on him, and he finally nodded, the tension easing from his shoulders. "You're right. Let's focus on the mission. Shit, Ozpin needs to watch his students, damn it!"

"Thanks, you there. We need students kids out of here!"

A Huntsman carrying a spear took charge. He called for a Bullhead, indicating the urgency of the situation. In the midst of the encampment, someone held Yang, who had lost her arm during the brutal encounter with Adam.

The encampment buzzed with activity as the Huntsmen mobilized to address the imminent danger while the rest were keeping their attention somewhere else, their expressions grim as they prayed that the chaos won't wake up something they've been trying to kill without awakening it.

As a bullhead arrived, a figure dashed towards the girls, leaving Ruby stunned. The figure was none other than Qrow Branwen. Instead of a warm welcome, Qrow's expression turned to concern and anger at seeing the horrible state they were in. "What happened, and why are you students here!?" he demanded. "Did Ozpin send you? No, you girls came on your own, didn't you!?"

Ruby, visibly afraid, exchanged a glance with Blake. The events that unfolded in the tunnels of Mt. Glenn were very fresh in their minds, and the injuries suffered by Yang only added to the urgency of their situation. The campsite became tense as Qrow awaited an explanation, his sharp eyes assessing the condition of each member of Team RWBY.

Ruby attempted to explain the events. Blake, feeling responsible for dragging her team to this mess, stepped forward, deciding to provide a detailed account of what had transpired in the tunnels of Mt. Glenn.

As Blake spoke, several other Huntsmen in Atlesian uniforms approached Qrow, informing him that the situation had escalated. "We need you to stop that train, Qrow. You're the fastest. The rest of us can handle the White Fang here."

Qrow was concern deeply, especially as he observed the severity of Yang's injuries and the shaken look on Ruby's face as she held her sister's severed arm in hopes that maybe it could still be reattached.

Realizing the urgency of the situation, Qrow made a decisive call. "Okay, take care of my nieces and their friends. Make sure they get home safely," his voice was firm yet laden with concern as he stood by Ruby's side, clutching Yang's severed arm with tears streaming down her face. "Ruby, kid, I know this is tough, but Indeed to focus. Yang and your teammates needs help, and you can't lose it here," Qrow said, his voice carrying a rare sense of urgency. "You are their leader. Act like one."

Ruby looked up at Qrow, her silver eyes filled with a mixture of fear and desperation.

Qrow placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Listen, Ruby. your team needs you stand tall and firm. Can you be strong for them right now?"

Ruby nodded, determination flickering in her eyes as she wiped away her tears.

"Good, this will be quick, kiddo."

Gripping his weapon tightly, Qrow ran out of the huntsmen's sight before transforming into his avian form – a crow, ready to chase after the train,

As the Bullhead took off, leaving behind the encampment, Team RWBY, now in the care of the other Huntsmen, watched the camp dwindle as they made their way to the tunnels to confront the White Fang. It was clear from their preparation and organization that these Huntsmen were specifically targeting the White Fang.

The Bullhead soared through the sky, leaving the encampment behind. As the reality of their mess sank in, Blake found herself overwhelmed with guilt. The sight of her battered and beaten teammates, especially Yang's grievous injuries, weighed heavily on her conscience. With every painful beat of her heart, she whispered, "I'm sorry," unable to escape the burden of responsibility she felt for the team's predicament.

Weiss, though the bleeding on her had stopped, remained silent and withdrawn. Her battered and bruised face was fixed downward, emotions guarded, as she internalized the pain and aftermath of the confrontation in the tunnels. Ruby remained eerily silent, holding onto Yang's arm, and then staying close, deathly afraid of losing her sister.

It was an uneasy flight back to Vale.
