Chapter 4: Pirating the North Blue

Dark Tower: 3 months, 2 weeks, 3 days ago

"We didn't make our move on the 6 Heroes just yet, there are...other things that needs to be done, mainly by training on the gauntlet on my left hand and my swordmanship which showed to be "shoddy work" according to Maria. 2 weeks pass and things in Astral Town has gone back to normal, it's people are still afraid of us but gained some tolerance that they would allow my crew to unwind in the taverns or loiter in alleyways for a quick breather after their rounds guarding the base walls.

As for me, I hardly get any rest. Not that I need it anyway thanks to my...newly resurrected body and the magic keeping me awake and vitalized all day and night. And throughout those days and nights, I would spend them at the main study studying spells in Wizard's private library and/or spar with the reprogrammed Maria and Mileena in the courtyard to hone my swordplay. Maria and Velvet were strict and cruel teachers, but when I- I mean Luffy had to deal with the immense and savage training he went as a child by Garp, with surviving the wilds, enduring savagery of nature and the never-ending abuse from Garp's "Fist of Love"...their training methods were necessary for me to get much stronger.

I hardly get any sleep through my academic studies whenever Velvet teaches me magic, her lectures would put me to sleep if it weren't for the threat of punishments if I did. And despite how droll those lessons are, the knowledge was absorbed like a sponge.

And Maria was no better, which I can understand what Mihawk had to go through whenever her original had put that bastard in. Taking advantage of the magic keeping me awake and vitalized, we literally train all day and night...going through the basics of swinging a swing none stop until it becomes second nature before advancing to the next step, which involved her fighting me to the death. I swear I would've gotten so many scars all over my body if it weren't the Tower Heart's magic healing me constantly, but it doesn't stop the pain constantly aching me.

Those 2 weeks were indeed hell for me, more terrible compare to what I went through while we sailed to the Calm Belt and to the North Blue weeks past. Well, to be fair, I was lucky to be even more freely if it weren't for the Rigor Mortis that formed from by previously dead body. So with my body limber, the kiddie gloves were off and the real training began."

Now after 2 weeks, Lucy's skills on magic and the sword have painfully improved, so much that right now he is nose deep in one of the old dusty tomes in the private study high up on the now corrupted Dark Tower. Thanks to Velvet's brutal teachings, reading books has become more bearable for him as his curiosity grew whenever he learns magic spells. But obtaining would be another matter.

For a time, he can only use Chain Lightning, Blizzard, Fireball and two new cantrip known as Mage hand and Eldritch Blast. Mage Hand is quite handy for Lucy as he can summon a pair of red ethereal hands to help him in either combat or things like reaching high shelves since he no long can stretch his arms due to lack of Gum Gum fruit powers. However, he would compare this cantrip to Robin's Flower-Flower Fruit powers since they appear whenever he casts them. But for now, he can two, four if he pushes it but that would tire him out as it requires so much concentration to manifest them.

"According to the tomes, I need to learn certain runes to acquire new spells, runes which are scattered throughout the world, but most of them are located in North Blue." Said Lucy with a smile as pulled out one of these rune stones to show Rayleigh. It is a dark stone slab which you can put in your pocket and etched on the surface is a single poneglyph and a pictograph that defines an element. The runestone that Lucy showed is that of a fire rune stone. "These cool little stones are what made magic possible, it's a normal stone now since the magic required to learn the spell is already integrated into the gauntlet, but I kept it because it's neat to have."

"A momentum of your endeavours, huh?"

"You could say that, but it does help to know that there are more treasures like this are out there," said Lucy, "More spells to learn and to use against my enemies."

"How many did you find?" said Rayleigh

"All in due time, I don't want to spoil it when I'm telling my tale, right?" said Lucy as he pockets the rune stone and returns to his story. "Anyway, as I was currently going through the books that Wizard had in his collection, there was one tome that got me very interested. It's about a unique ability, not of magic although it may appear to be."

"And what is that ability."

"It's called Haki, I never heard of this ability before but when I ready more about it, the more it intrigues me that I wonder how I would obtain this power. So I came to Velvet with the book and asked her. And you know what said?"

"What?" said Rayleigh

"Haki huh?" said Velvet as she took a look at the book which Lucy showed her and skims through it before she returned it to her captain. "Sorry, I have no idea how to use it or the means to teach it to you."

"W-What?" said Lucy in distraught by the news. "If it requires runes, then I'm sure we can..."

"Runes of any sort will not will not help you learn Haki, Cap'n," said Velvet. "Haki is it's own power, a power that doesn't need magic."

"Then what does it need?" said Lucy

"Sadly, I don't know the answer to that," said Velvet frowning sadly as she hates to disappoint her captain. "The only time I saw Haki was when my old Captain Xebec used it to intimidate his enemies. He calls it Conqueror King's Haki, but he never explains how it works."

"He doesn't trust you?" said Lucy

"That and...he said my spirit isn't strong to learn it," said Velvet "Which is a shame, for it could be useful to learn all three colours."

"3 colours," said Lucy as he opened the book as he did recall the term colours in the text, but he never understood what it meant, until now. "The colours...are the three Haki types?"

"That's right, Armament, Observation, and Conquerors," said Velvet. "Since I can't use Observation, I improvised by using my Clairvoyance and Time Stop spells. And without Armament, I can enchant weapons by enhancing their durability and boost my strength with either Berserk or any other buffering spells."

"I see," said Lucy feeling disappointed by this. "That's a shame."

"Hey, don't look gloom, just because I'm unable to learn or teach it, doesn't mean that you can't." Said Velvet placing her hand on her captain's shoulder. "You just...need to find a way to learn them, or know that you're capable of using these Haki colours. After all, Haki- in the Wanonian tongue means Ambition. So, in theory, it can be used by those who the greatest of ambition...maybe."

"Hn," said Lucy as he walks away.

"I was disappointed that I wasn't able to learn Haki, so I dropped the subject altogether and focused on learning about spells and the type of rune stones which I must find during my hunt on the 6 Heroes. And I didn't have to wait long for that to happen.

War room

Lucy and his officers gathered in the tower's war room located in the upper sections of the keep's middle tier. It is a vast room with a long table rows of seats on both sides which were partially taken by these officers while Lucy sits at the table's end behind a clear blackboard. On the table is a chart of the North Blue and a land map of Greenvale.

"As you all don't know, Greenvale is a nation located on the edge of the Red Line, surrounded by a vast mountain range called the Golden Hills, home of the mountain dwarves ruled by their High-King Goldo Golderson, retired Vice-Admiral of Marine Base 79 (1)." Velvet explains the geography of Greenvale. "However, the foot of the mountains are surrounded by the thick and vibrant woods of Evernight forest, where the Elven Prince Oberon take dominion."

"so that's 2 of 6 Heroes down." Said Lucy leaning back on his seat while he listens. "and the rest?"

"We're yet to locate Jewel and Kahn, but knowing them they are together since that short-tempered giant has a fling for that thieving bitch." Said Velvet frowning as she doesn't like not knowing where Jewel and Kahn are. Fortunately, I know that Melvin Underbelly is at the Eastern region of Mellow Hills, in a village where he grew up...and out in. On the west of the region, you can find Heaven's Peak, a fortress city where my ex-husband Black William rules as the town Castilian and Paladin of the Holy Knights."

"Holy Knights?" said Lucy

"Don't let the name fool you, you're nothing but a group of pompous nobles playing dress up," said Velvet with a scoff, "they are so dedicated, so proud of their position that they believe they they were chosen for the role by God, and William is no better. They say they would protect the innocent from any form of harm, but that but hogwash for they are only protecting the privilege and the worthy while leaving to peasants to wallow in their poverty and depravity. Heavens Peak is one of the worthy to earn the Holy Knights' protection when the Angelus Keep and the stone walls were built to defend the town from pirates. It even kept Xebec deterred miraculously...which gives my father a reason to aid Garp and Roger to fight the Overlord."

"A town not even an Overlord can raid, huh?" said Lucy as he gazes at the icon on the map where Heaven's Peak is located on. "Huh? It'll be quite the challenge."

"Indeed, but we'll find a way to breach the walls, since the town itself has been under lockdown for decades thanks to that good-for-nothing-cheat!" said Velvet as she plunges a dagger at where Heaven's Peak is on the map with murderous intent.

"Still sore about being cuckqueaned by a Succubus?" said Nanaue with a smirk.

"Not really, that demonic whore did me a favour," said Velvet take a breath to calm down, and lying through her teeth. "But I'll be content in having that bastard's head for my final alimony from him...that and his keep and riches."

"At least one of us is getting something from this hunt," said Syzoth, "I mean, we didn't join this crew for free, you know, it'd be nice to profit from this voyage."

"You'll be well compensated when we raid Marine bases and board treasure ships sailing in these sea routes," Velvet as she turns her attention to the sea charts. "In fact, that is why we took this base, for it over seas ever sea route from Greenvale to the neighbouring islands, the ships collect taxes in the form of food and gold, all to sate Goldo's greed and Melvin's gluttony."

"So, what's the plan?" said Lucy

"It's up to you to choose what to do first, Cap'n," said Velvet as she smiled at her captain. "We can start going after a few of these treasure ships, cripple Goldo's cash flow and undoubtedly force that greedy Dwarf to send his forces from Base 79 after you, or we can start raiding Melvin's many plantations, sack them of their resources from food to materials that would help improve our base defences, which will draw the attention of that lard ball Melvin."

"I took a moment to decide what to do... attack Goldo's sea routes and board his treasure ships before they reach Marine Base 79, which according to Velvet is highly impenetrable thanks to Dwarven ingenuity with their iron-clad walls, superior weaponry and a crew consists with hardy Dwarves. Or, I should go after Melvin's plantations, where various types of food from crops to livestock, and other materials like wood, stone and iron."

"Why not attack both?" Lucy suggested, "I mean pick at them randomly, perhaps at 2-3 at a time and flee with the goods, enough for us to carry back before the Marines would attack in droves."

"Interesting, so hit and run at those bastards until we weaken them or let them come out of hiding," said Syzoth

"That's right," said Lucy "We just established this base but we need to fortify our position, and to do that we need gold and resources. Gold to pay and hire any crew out on his ocean, and more resources to fortify the base.

"In order to do that, we need to split up, pilot ships of our own," said Nanaue in thought. "And we do have an armada of Marine battleships moored on the Dry-docks, some are ready to sail...yeah, that could work."

"Attacking treasure ships and plantations with marine ships," Syzoth laughing with amusement. "Now that's ironic."

"That's the idea," said Nanaue as he joins in the laugh.

"I never knew that strategizing would be this fun, to scheme against our enemies it's so thrilling for I would imagine the chaos we would bring on them. After spending a few more minutes in the War room to finalize our plans, I adjourned the briefing and set forth to execute our plans."

North Blue

"As suggested, we split up and board on our own ships so we can spread our positions on this northern sea to attack either sighted treasure ships brimming with taxes from various islands, or plantations stocked with cargo. Szyzoth, Nanaue and Mileena took ships of their own to start their pirating and I did the same on-board the Sanguine Skull.

We'd be sailing for days on the open sea, but I know it'll take time to reap the spoils from our enemies, especially when the spoils can be challenging to find from the start. Nevertheless, it feels great to sail again, for weeks on dry land was stifling for a pirate like me. The few days were silent, but we followed the sea route and kept our distance so not to scare off our prey. But the wait paid off when we spotted our first quarry at first light, a large galleon with a 3 schooner escort, quite the challenge but I love challenges as we sailed onto the attack.

We fired the chase cannons on the first schooner on the port side, letting them know we're here for their gold."

"Minions to battle stations!" Lucy exclaimed in command to his crew as he takes the helm with an eager grin on his face. "Man the cannons, fire when in range!"

His minions obey and went on their posts for the incoming attack on the treasure ship and her schooner escorts. The minions at the chase cannons on the bow starts firing at the schooners, hitting them with great accuracy. This prompt the schooners to retaliate and turns to confront the Sanguine Skull, but this is what Lucy wanted. He widened his grin and chuckles under his throat as he kept his hands on the wheel. The Schooners are firing their chase cannons at the pirate ship but Lucy doesn't falter, he stood his ground and spins the wheel hard so he can make the hip angle in firing range.

"FIRE!" exclaimed Lucy to his crew and they obey.

The minions on the broadside fired the cannons at the schooners, the barrage caused immense damage on the moderate sized ships, one of them suddenly exploded for one of the cannonballs struck the power reserves which blew in contact. One ship is down and the other has suffered great damage that cost them a mast and a riddled hull which caused the surviving crew to focus on bailing leaking water to prevent sinking. But Lucy is content in sinking every ship that surrounds his prize, so he ordered his crew to fire at the second schooner again until it sinks completely to the bottom.

"One escort remaining and the prize is ours," said Velvet

"We better stop them from escaping us," said Lucy, getting giddy from the excitement. "Get the chain shots ready, knock their sails down."

"Aye," said Velvet as she gives out the command to load the cannons with chain shots.

"Full mast!" exclaimed Lucy to his crew. "Let us gain speed and ready yourselves to board."

"We draw closer to the treasure ship; our sails are down so the wind and manuver the ship quickly to our pray. My crew aimed higher at the galleon's masters and fired the chain shots. I watched the chained pairs of iron balls twirl into the air and see them smash into the masts and sails, either tearing holes at the sheets of knocking the masts down. Either way, the Treasure Ship is dead in the water and we can regain our focus on the remaining escort. We showed no mercy to it as we set it ablaze and sink to the bottom."

"Escorts disposed, get ready to board!" said Lucy to his crew as he sails closer to the now vulnerable ship floating still like flotsam. "Expect resistance, kill them all."

The minions roared out their battle cries as they haul their boarding lines and leap on board to attack the enemy crew. And resistance was expected for they clash with the minions in hopes of fighting them off and protect their cargo. Lucy leaves the bridge and joins in the fray, slaughtering everyone in his back with his drawn Craven Edge and laughs maniacally as he enjoys the carnage.

It didn't take long for us to claim the ship, we decimated the crew and the rest surrendered in the hopes of being spared once we claim the riches stored below deck. And what a haul we made, I'm not sure what the value this was, but I can assume it's more than 60'000'000 berries or so. Either way, it's a steal...quite literally."

"And the survivors, did you spare them?" said Rayleigh

"Oh aye, we spared them, we left them adrift at sea on their badly damaged vessel," said Lucy "but if they survived and reached land or perished at sea, it matters not to me. I claimed what I wanted, but there's still room for more to store in the Sanguine Skull so we resumed our hunt for more treasure ships."

Week later

"We claimed more treasure from more treasure ships, I'd say about 6 in the following week, but it caused out supplies to dwindle slightly and the Sanguine Skull gained her share of damage from the battle against the schooner escorts. So, we returned to Astro Town to unload and restock on provisions before returning to the sea, only this time we decided to turn our attention on the Plantations to steal their cargo.

The plantations are found on a chain of island, privately owned by the Halfling Hero Melvin Underbelly, comprised of stone quarries, limber mills, and farms which his human slaves are forced to work on all day and night with barely any rest. When we reached those islands, Nanaue was there waiting by the shore of a smouldering plantation which he already ransacked. He was leaning on the bulwark of his appointed ship, smoking a cigar while holding half a bottle of Ithurzburger stein.

"Ahoy there, Nanaue," said Lucy when he noticed the wine bottle in the shark fishman's hand. "Where did you get that?"

"From one of the plantations I sacked," said Nanaue as he takes a big puff from his cigar and lets the smoke exhale through his gills. "I gotta hand it to them Halflings, they know how to live right. These Cigars, oh they are heaven...much better than regular tobacco."

"What's it made of?" said Velvet

"Wanonian pipe-weed with a hint of sandalwood, just raided a plantation that grows there. And they're quite demanding at the market since Wano closed off its trade routes 20 years ago. Thank God they managed to cultivate the plants, but the price on them is ridiculous." said Nanaue as he enjoys his cigar. "Oh, I'm keeping these."

"Take them, I'm not a smoker," said Lucy, "I never liked smoke since...well I never liked the smell."

"How come?" said Shakky as she happens to light up a cigarette.

"Long story short, I choked on enough smoke when the Goa Kingdom set the Gray terminal on fire in their quick way of disposing their garbage for their honoured guest Saint Jalmack...the murderer of my brother, to visit. Sabo was in the way of that celestial Dragon's path and crossed it, resulting him getting killed when that "noble" blew up his ship."

"Wait, I thought Ace was killed by Akainu," said Rayleigh with a raised.

"He was...I had two- look can we focus on with the tale? I don't want to talk about it!" Lucy exclaimed with annoyance.

"Sorry, please continue," said Rayleigh, he should know better than to talk about brothers...since Lucy- or rather Luffy lost his.

"Fair enough," said Nanaue as he keeps on smoking. "Anyway, don't mind me, I'm taking a break from the sacking."

"You didn't sack all of the plantations, right?" said Lucy, causing Nanaue to laugh.

"Ha, I may be big and strong, but I'm only one fish man," said Nanaue. "Plus, the stores are full on my ship and I'm in need to return to base."

"Good, I was hoping there be more to ransack," said Lucy as he leaps over the side and lands on a ready rowboat. "Plus, stealing gold sure works up an appetite."

"Just be careful when you get there, Cap'n," said Nanaue as he takes a cigar break which smoke exhales from his gills. "They have trolls guarding each plantation."

"Trolls?" said Lucy

"Big ugly monsters that live in the mountain and caves," said Velvet, "They're bigger than humans, tougher than fishmen and more savage than any beast you can imagine. They have a voracious appetite and an unquenchable thirst for blood and carnage. They are well known for eating humans, livestock...and children."

"And the Halflings have them as guard?" said Lucy with a raised brow.

"Humans are fickle and frightened creatures- no offence," said Nanaue, "What better way to put them in their place is with a monster always watching them. And the only way to survive is to obey their masters through that fear of monsters waiting to eat them."

Lucy chuckled and turns to stare at the cost.

"Well, unfortunately for them I ain't afraid of monsters." Said Lucy as he orders his minions to start rowing for the coast. "Because I am one."

Nanaue boasts out laughing while he watches his Captain row for the island where a plantation is waiting for be ransacked. He turns away so he can get the ship ready to sail back to Astro Town. Velvet stayed on board the Sanguine Skull, for she is confident that that her captain can handle this on his own. And no troll is gonna get in his way, given that his former self fought worst.

"Have fun, Cap'n," said Velvet

Plantation

"I reached my first plantation to raid; we moored near the beach a few metres away from the borders since I didn't want to alert the guards too early. Not wanting to alert them yet, we snuck in quietly through the gates without the guards spotting us and hid in the crops. I ordered my minions to hide and wait until we can ambush the guards while I sneak into the plantation's manor where the foreman sleeps.

Passing through the unsuspecting guards, I approached the manor and snuck in by climbing up the open window which led me to the master bedroom. The master of the house isn't in his bed, meaning that he is still up, feasting for I can hear the clattering of plates and eating utensils downstairs. Plus, I can smell the aroma of roast beef, pork chops and chicken which caused my mouth to salivate. Oh I yearned to feast on the evening bounty which that bastard partakes in. But I need to focus on with the raid, which I can enjoy feasting on once I take it back to Astro Town for. I searched through the rooms to see if any of the guards are sleeping in their own rooms so I can kill them. Only to my surprise that everyone isn't asleep, meaning that they are down stairs feasting with their commander...lucky bastards."

"So I came down the stairs quietly came to the dining hall where a dozen halflings are enjoying their bountiful feast comprised of many varieties of meats, dishes and jugs full of wine, booze and spirits. The gluttonous halflings were too busy stuffing their faces to even notice me, which is fortunate for me for I quietly summoned more minions to assist me. I ordered them to surround the open doorways of the dining hall and confiscate thief abandoned weapons so they can use them against the halflings. The noise of the smacking mouths when they eat, followed with clamouring of idle talk and loud belching made it easy for us to sneak by, not even a creak of a loose floorboard alerted them."

Lucy smirks as he then charges for the front door and kicks it open, this alerted the Halflings inside but they were immediately ambushed by Lucy's monstrous crew as they charge in with their swords and guns out. Lucy leaves them to slay the vulnerable halflings inside while he deals with the ones outside. He draws out Craven Edge and casts fireball at one of the crop fields.

"I signalled my crew to attack when I set fire to the nearby crop fields. This alerted the guards and slaves outside. The mayhem caused panic and confusion that forced the guards to retaliate on us while the slaves fled for their lives- even though I had no intention of taking any of their lives."

"How so?" said Rayleigh

"They are worthless to me; their souls would be worthless for me to use to create more minions to fight by my side. Marines and soldiers are ideal for their courage, strength and ambitions what made them ideal candidates for me to take their lives. The rest can live and run away in fear for all I care.

I joined in the fray, slaughter any halfling soldier they got too close, and despite their size they are formidable fighters compare to normal humans, especially in numbers. But I didn't falter, I kept on fighting while my minions raze the plantations, setting everything a...blaze..."

"What's wrong?"

Lucy suddenly stops, both in his story telling in the present and in battle in the past for he suddenly starts to see something emerging from the flames of the burning fields and walking towards across the open plains where Lucy stands. It's in human-like form, completely made of flames but what for Lucy's attention is that it's wearing a very familiar hat which caused Lucy to freeze in terror.

"Why did you stop?" Rayleigh asked Lucy again, but Lucy didn't answer as he remained shell-shocked from an untold memory of what he saw, or what he believed he saw.

This left him open for one of the Halfling guards to attack, his used his sling to throw a rock straight at the masked pirate's masked face, straight at Lucy's masked face. The mask shielded the impact and soaking most of the damage, but it was hard that it caused Lucy to stagger and loose balance. He keeled over and fell to the floor, his minions noticed this and came assist their captain while he is fighting to remain conscious.

"Lucy...

But as his sight slowly fails, he couldn't stop but gaze at the fiery figure sitting on the fence, staring back with deep sorrow with an equally sad smile. This burning apparition mores it's lips as if it's trying to speak to Lucy, but the masked pirate couldn't figure out the words.

"Lucy..."

The apparition noticed and sighed before it fades away as it's fiery form dies, causing Lucy to shed a tear which mixes from the blood leaking from his masked brow.

"Lucy!"

Shakky's Bar

Lucy shock out from his train of thought and turns to a slightly concerned Rayleigh when Lucy just paused his regaling of his story when it got to the part when he set a crop field on fire.

"Something the matter?" said Rayleigh

"Y-Yeah, I-I think I need to go, get some rest." Said Lucy as he held his head while putting his mask back on. "I think I reached my limit there."

"I have a spare room you can use," said Shakky as she points over her shoulder to the door behind her. "Considering that you have 5 months of stories to tell us, I reckon it'll take you a least a few days to tell them."

Lucy looks at Shakky silently before he nods in agreement.

"Aye, I could use a break." Said Lucy before turning to Rayleigh, "Providing that you don't leave this grove until you hear every tale."

"Got nothing planned," said Rayleigh with a shrug. "My weekend's free."

"Good, I'll see you in the morning," said Lucy as he then heads for the back door so he can rest in the spare room.

Rayleigh waits until Lucy closes the door and heads upstairs, he then stands up and sighs wearingly as he pulls out a small remote and starts pushing the pause button. The reason for this is that the entire room is bugged, with a least over a dozen cameko snails hidden in any small nook and cranny they can hide in. With them paused, every Cameko starts to fall asleep for they are now in "sleep mode."

"Bloody hell, it's a good thing I have plenty to drink to keep my nerves still." Said Rayleigh,

"This is crazy," Shakky said in a whisper. "Why did you agree to all of this?"

"Because I needed to know," said Rayleigh. "And since Lucy is said who he is, then I must do this, for everyone."

"Even if it means that you'll risk your life?" said Shakky with a disapproved look.

"Our lives are already in danger, Shakky," said Rayleigh with a frown. "Don't tell me you didn't sense them, surrounding the bar."

Shakky gulped as she knew, her Observation Haki has alerted her that her establishment is completely surrounded by a vase army of Lucifer's minion crew, which estimated to be at the thousands, all hiding in the shadows and awaiting orders from their captain should Rayleigh and Shakky try and make a run for it.

"You thought them before, the Hoards of the abyss that Xebec once commanded," said Rayleigh. "There is no escaping this, and Lucy knows it."

"Damn you, Xebec," Shakky said in a defeated sigh. "To use that poor boy while he's vulnerable."

"I know, but we must be here to help him," said Rayleigh as looks at the back door with sympathy, "Which is why we must do this, despite our situation."

Spare Room

Lucy enters the room and shuts the door behind him. He removes his hat and bandana and placed them on the beside while he sits on the bed with exhaustion. He palms his face and groans as a booze is starting to buzz through his brain.

"What is wrong with me?" said Lucy, "I should be fine drinking that much, and why did I feel so tired already?"

Suddenly the room lightens up which Lucy took notice and saw the fiery apparition stand in front of him, it stares so sadly at Lucy and starts to speak, but no words can ever come out.

"Why do you torment me so?" said Lucy in a calm but hostile tone. "I know I screwed up, and I am aware of the fate what awaits me in hell. So wait for me in hell, wait until I die, wait until I can no long fight and my anger burns out."

The Fiery apparition sighed silently and hung its head low in sadness before its fiery body dies out and fades along with it's haunting vermillion light. Lucy remains seated on the bed and silently stares at the empty space before sleep starts to creep in and forces him to rest.

"Sorry, Velvet," said Lucy as he then lies on the bed and shuts his eyes. "It would seem that I'll be sleeping alone for a while."

End of Chapter

79 is the atomic number of Gold on the periodic table, which is fitting for a gold obsessed Dwarf to be stationed with that number.
