Chapter 1
"Princess you can't possible be serious right now that thing should be put down."
"Are you stupid right now...I know you hate their kind but face it this could be our ticket to destroy the enemy from the inisde"
"Really you would risk our kingdom for what a stupidity...queen i implore you to kill for your people that lost their lives to those wit-"
Lenalee slammed her palms on the war table causing the arguing to stop and attention given to her. Since the Noah appeared again after centiures of being hidden humanity was stuck in a seemingly endless war. Nobody could pinpoint just what caused the darkness as the knights of the black order called them to come back. The only thing that was known was humanity wasnt prepared for the level of destruction that followed in the Noah's wake. Entire kingdoms were being lost left and right around the world leaving barely anyone left to put up a fight.
Humanity despaired believing the end times were upon them until they discovered a means to fight back. The order brought with them innocence, a weapon made from god if one was to believe the tale. What mattered in her mind was how it seemed to be the only thing able to destroy the ceatures called akuma of the Noah. New knights were trained daily to become accomendators to a piece of innocence and take the fight to the Noah themselves.
Clearing her thoughts she lets out a sigh before focusing on the issue that caused her commander and strageist to be at each others throat to begin with. While it wasnt uncommon for her kingdom to be attacked by the Noah given they were one of the last few protected human kingdoms in the world, what made this brazzare was the way in which the enemy reacted. Most Noah only cared for wiping humanity off of the face of the planet yet their current captive nobody could figure out.
She coughed up blood touching her rib sucking in a breath knowing at least one was broken. Attacking without any back up from the other knights was foolish but she couldn't wait. The reports said akuma had been sighted and risking them unleashing chaos wasnt a option. Letting the Noah family take more from her or her people wasnt something she could allow to happen.
"Pick up the comlink sister or i swear to god I'll bring your ass back from death's grasp just to kill you myself" Came a voice from her earring causing her to smile despite the pain she was in. Only one person would have the balls to not care about her status and outright threaten her life to get a answer, her adoptive brother Yuu Kanda though he only went by Kadna Lee since accepting her last name.
"I'm alive brother in pain though I'm just oozing at the love in your voice. Please tell me that the akuma hasn't made it into the residental square. I got blasted into a abandoned house i think...sneaky fucker was still in human form and used a child as a cover..I couldnt abandon them"
"You and your damn boy toy with this saving every person in sight...fucking hell. Yes beanspourt brought the brat to the shelter. As for the akuma no we cut it off but be careful...this isnt a normal one...think its evolved...can't track its level and the beanspourt said the soul is barely there whatever that means"
Gulping she nods before closing the comlink down then gets up sucking in a breath feeling her ribs scream at her in protest. Fighting normal akuma were bad enough on their own but add in the fact it evolved left her with a wider range of problems. From the little she understood from Allen, akuma that evolved past level one had their own unique skills though not on the level or range as a noah themselves. It took a team for two or more normally to handle anything past a level two because of that reason alone.
As usual karma just loves to take its pick at making my life a loving little hell dosen't it She thought softly. Checking her dark boots over quickly she smiles thankfully for the small blessings of not having to get her equipment type innocene repaired at the moment. Fighting any akuma or Noah without innocene was just a pure sucicde move. The only thing that could even put a dent on those creatures were innocene, believed to be God's gift to humanity as a form of fighting powerss. She never cared for the legends of innocene herself only that it worked against the Noah and thier creations.
"Now to hunt down this akuma" She said only to stop suddenly feeling a prescene in her general area. The hairs on the back of her night stood up causing her to quickly jumped forward thankfully avoiding the dust and peices of pavement that flew from impact. Landing on a nearby lamp pool she glares at her former spot seeing the dust clear to reveal a humaniod looking creature.
It's eyes were pitch black as the void seemingly ready to consume any soul unfortunate enough not to be able to escape. The right arm shifted back into what she could only assume was a machine gun making her eyes go wide. Dodging at the close range she was would only end in her death by the blood virus contained within their bullets. Is this how my story ends...
"Still leaving yourself exposed Doll...honestly" A innocent voice carrying the scent of lily petals hit her nose as the appearance of dark skin consume her eye sight. The owner of the voice in question was a loli looking girl with spikey dark blue hair dressed in what she realized was the school attire for the Rewind academy. "Rest...I'll handle this"
"Has she made any moves since being taken into the dungeon or being shackled with the innocene chains" Lenalee spoke softly still not understanding what the girl had planned from savng her life. Seeing Kanda and Allen both shake their head she nods then lets out a breath knowing her next words would change the fate of her kingdom forever "I want to speak to her alone"
