Chapter 1: Unknown

In a cozy hotel room, Zane found themselves lying in bed, diligently jotting down notes in their little notebook. The soft glow of a bedside lamp illuminated the room as the minutes ticked away. Tiredness eventually overcame them, and they drifted off into a peaceful slumber.

But the tranquility didn't last long. In the quiet of the night, an unexpected presence materialized beside the bed, sending shivers down Zane's spine. The room, once a haven, now felt charged with an eerie energy.

As dawn broke and the next morning unfolded, about four hours before the awaited concert, Zane and their friends gathered at a quaint diner near the concert venue. The air buzzed with anticipation as they enjoyed an early lunch or late breakfast. Eagerly, they made their way to the concert, the excitement palpable in the air.

However, fate took an unexpected turn during the performance. In the midst of the crowd's cheers and the band's electrifying performance, Zane found themselves mysteriously separated from their friends. Wandering towards the front, they became an unintentional focal point. A band member, amused by the situation, drew attention to Zane, inviting laughter from the audience.

Yet, Zane's response was different. Unsettled and uncomfortable, an unexplained sense of dread crept over them. The laughter of the crowd faded as Zane felt an overwhelming mix of sensations – too hot and too cold, dizzy and nauseated. Desperate to escape the discomfort, they navigated through the crowd toward the exit.

However, their attempt to leave didn't go unnoticed. Two imposing security guards stationed near the entrance questioned Zane's early departure. A feeble explanation about feeling unwell barely escaped Zane's lips. The guards, skeptical and perhaps alarmed, blocked their path. The room seemed to spin as Zane's eyes betrayed their panic, and the guards, realizing the severity, instinctively reached out, grabbing Zane's shoulder in an attempt to steady them.
