Miles from the base, Jerome, Flamer, Morgan, and another member of the team, Jen, headed East, going straight to the spot where Morgan's plane crashed.

"So you think that plane is still in one piece?" asked Flamer, irritated at the bugs and the nature surrounding him.

"Hope so, for our sake." answered Jerome, before getting spooked by the rustling "Whoever is in there come on out!"

The bushes continued their rustling until out jumped a tiny green hedgehog baby.

"Sumi?" questioned Flamer.

"How do you think he got out here on his own?" asked Jen, picking up the baby Sumi off the ground.

"Sumi!" yelled another voice from the bushes.

"Felina over here!" yelled Jerome, responding to the voice.

Out from the same bushes came a gray female hedgehog wearing a green dress. She took Sumi from Jen and scolded the happy baby for running away.

"Felina, why is Sumi all the way out here?" asked Flamer.

"I thought I'd take the kids on a little field trip to the base." answered Felina, rocking baby Sumi in her arms.

"Felina you do realize that there could be robots out here don't you?" asked Jerome.

"I thought of that, that's why I asked Sile and Zin to walk them back home."

After a few seconds of silence Felina turned her head to see a white hedgehog standing behind Jerome.

"Who's that?" asked Felina.

"This is Morgan." said Jerome, introducing the two "Morgan, this is Felina, Nas' girlfriend and treasure hunting partner."

"Hi." waved Morgan.

"We're out here looking for a plane that was shot down earlier today." explained Jerome "Have you seen it?"

"I've seen it." spoke another voice coming from the bushes behind Felina, belonging to a grey weasel wearing a cowboy hat.

"Morgan, this Zin, our spy." Jerome introduced.

"Ain't much of one." uttered Flamer under his breath.

"Hey, I'm the best spy ya got." Zin retorted.

"Says the one who blew his cover in our last mission and almost got us all killed!" said Flamer.

"Guys enough!" commanded Jerome "Zin, you said you knew where this plane was take us straight to it."

"Alright, follow me."

The five walked towards the direction of the plane as Felina headed back towards the village with Sumi. After cutting through piles of bushes and limbs they suddenly came up to the wrecked plane.

"Man, it really did a number on her." frowned Morgan.

"Okay Morgan, go ahead and get that weapon off of there and we'll be on our way." commanded Jerome.

"No problem." said Morgan, taking a wrench from his coat pocket and running towards the wreckage.

"Don't you think it's a little weird this stuff hasn't been taken yet?" whispered Flamer.

"Just be on your guard." whispered Jerome, as Morgan began to unscrew the weapon from the plane.

"I've almost got it." said Morgan, before getting surprised by a small beeping orb.

"Morgan get down!" yelled Jerome, tackling Morgan to get him out of reach of the explosion.

After the ball exploded twenty robots landed from out of the treetops and began attacking. Flamer, with his fire ability, threw balls of flames at each robot's torso. But bots kept coming. Jen tried her best to shoot her way out of the ambush, but was met with chain hitting her face.

"Clayton." murmured Jen, looking up at her attacker, a large black bear wearing a sleeveless jacket.

"You miss me darling?" chuckled Clayton, before throwing the end of his chain at Jen's head, only for her to grab it.

"I'm not your darling!" growled Jen, throwing a swift kick at Clayton's head and missing.

"Keep telling yourself that doll." chuckled Clayton, grabbing Jen's ankle as she came up for another kick, noticing the pink socks above the boots "Still the little pink wearing girly I always knew!"

"Yeah, but now I've learned a new set of skills." huffed Jen, kicking Clayton in his big stomach and back flipping away from him.

"You'll pay for that." growled Clayton, before getting punched in the jaw by Flamer.

"Mind if I cut in?" joked Flamer, watching Clayton struggling to get to his feet.

"You two ain't heard the last of me." shouted Clayton, running from the battle.

"How'd you like that babe?" asked Flamer, putting on his charm for Jen.

"Don't call me babe." said Jen "We need to get those bots away from that plane."

Behind the plane Jerome, Zin and Morgan hid as the robots marched towards them, blasting at them with their arm guns.

"What do we do?!?" shouted Morgan.

"Don't panic!" commanded Jerome, shooting a couple of the robots "Morgan, you keep trying to get that weapon off of there. Zin, you follow me and cover me!"

"I follow you and cover you?" whined Zin.

"Yes, now get off your butt and come on!"

Jerome and Zin stood up from the behind the plane, letting their bullets rip into all of the bots. Still more came and soon they became overwhelmed.

"Enough!"

A hush fell upon the robot army, each of them, including our heroes stopped what they were doing to witness a tall sleek white robot entering the battlefield, with a long black cape hanging on his back.

"Robot Master." Jerome sneered.

"Ah, the Robot Protection Squad, lovely to meet you here on such a fine evening." mocked the Robot Master.

"Cut the bull, what do you want now?" asked Flamer.

"Tsk tsk young fox-cat, have some manners. Is that any way to speak to your superior?"

"You are no superior of ours." mumbled Jerome.

"From where I'm standing it looks as if I am."

"Cut the talk!" said Zin "You captured us now what the heck you want to do with us?!?"

"I'm glad you asked." laughed the Robot Master "I was planning on creating a bomb."

"A bomb?" said Jen.

"Why do you want a bomb for? To blow us all off the island?" asked Jerome.

"Even better." started the Robot Master "My bots and I have discovered the existence of an ancient relic. Something that can be used to grant us overwhelming strength. We only need to find it. That's where all of you come in."

"But we don't know anything about an ancient relic." said Flamer "Even if we did we sure wouldn't tell you where it is."

"I thought you'd say that. Bots, pick them up and bring them along."

"Leave my friends alone!"

Hearing the shrill, shaky voice coming from the plane's cockpit the bots turned to see a white hedgehog, standing over the them all with a weapon in his hands.

"Aw, yes, I remember now. You were the one we shot down." said the Robot Master.

"Yeah, that's right!" said Morgan "And now the tables have turned! One flip of the trigger I blast you all to Timbuktu!"

"Foolish. You do not have the power to do any such thing."

"Want to bet?" smirked Morgan, flipping the trigger on the weapon and letting the bullets fly, hitting almost every robot standing.

"Come on, let's get out of here!" commanded Jerome, leading everyone back to the base.

"After them!" demanded the Robot Master to the his robot army, who proceeded to chase the enemy.

"Now would be a good time to start that weapon up again!" shouted Flamer.

"I'm trying!" cried Morgan, fiddling with the weapon.

After a bit of messing around the weapon began spewing bullets once again. The robot army began to shrink in size, falling one by one with each bullet they take.

After almost an hour of running the team finally arrived back to the base.

"Good job out there guys." panted Jerome, stopping at the nearest seat.

"I hope Felina is okay." panted Jen.

"Don't worry." said Flamer "She'll be fine. She's gotten out of tougher situations before."

"Right." said Jerome "And kid... you were a big help as well."

"It was nothing." blushed Morgan.

"It was something." said Jen "We're very grateful to you."

"Yeah, we owe you one." said Flamer.

"No really, you don't owe me anything." said Morgan "Just working on the Faller 9 is enough."

"Morgan..." started Jerome "We're making you an honorary member of the Robot Protection Squad. Welcome to the team."

"Wow, you mean it?" gasped Morgan.

"I certainly do." answered Jerome, shaking Morgan by the hand.

"I won't disappoint." said Morgan "You can count on me."
