Isaac was holding the head of Zeus, whom was still alive. The other Olympians gathered around, witnessing the shift of power in Olympus, now belonging to a non-Olympian!
"By Hestia... you are the new ruler of Olympus." Ares said, before bowing. Soon, the others followed, Athena and Hera heavily reluctant in doing so.
"No. I cannot be the one to justly rule over Olympus. Instead... it will be one of my choosing." Isaac said, his Angelic form dissipating. The others quickly snapped their heads up, realizing that one of them could be the next rule of Olympus!
"Well, I am Queen of Olympus. It might as well be me." Hera argued. Athena scowled at this, rising from her bow.
"You think yourself superior? I'm the rightful heir to the throne!" Athena exclaimed, not appreciating Hera's disposition.
"You?! Hahaha! Next in line would have to be one of Kronos' children! Poseidon would be next in line!" Ares pointed out.
"Yeah, about that... I might've accidentally killed him during the fight with Zeus." Isaac said.
"What? Impossible! The oceans are still stable! If Poseidon was killed, which is impossible, the world would be flooded!" Apollo explained. But as he talked, he heard hurried footsteps, seeing someone running towards the others, wearing the armor of Poseidon!
"Isaac! Isaac, he's dead! Poseidon is dead!" Amphios announced, running to him. Isaac was surprised at his friend's sudden appearance, but was far more surprised by his lack of blindness.
"Amphios! You can see!" Isaac exclaimed, seeing his eyes were not their usual milky-white color.
"I smashed him into pieces! But his energy, his power, it came to me! I'm the new God of the Sea!" Amphios explained. The other Olympians looked at him, not believing what they heard!
"You... you're next in line for the throne?!" Hera screamed, not something she wanted to hear!
"What?! No! To Tartarus with the throne! I'm more than content with living the rest of eternity with my love. Find someone else!" Amphios said, walking from the group of Olympians.
"Isaac, let me know when you're ready to leave. I'll be at the docks with Hermes." Amphios said, walking back to the exit of the summit.
"Hermes... yes, that' it! Hermes!" Isaac exclaimed, before he cleared his throat.
"Let from this point on that Hermes, the former messenger of Olympus and God of Wit, to be the true Ruler of Olympus, decreed by myself!" Isaac announced.
"WHAT?! RULER OF OLYMPUS?! HERMES?!" Zeus' head exclaimed, angry! Isaac chuckled, finding this reversal of fortune humurous.
"I fought for the throne, Zeus. I have the right to relinquish the throne to whomever I choose. And your son is the most worthy, according to myself." Isaac responded.
"WORTHY?! I AM WORTHY! NOT HIM!" Zeus continued to rage, trying summon his powers! But the only thing he could do was make his eyes glow.
"Well, looks like you're coming with me, for now." Isaac said, walking to the exit of the summit, carrying Zeus' head.
"Hey! Put me down this instant! I am still a God of Olympus! I will not be humiliated like this!" Zeus ranted, cursing as Isaac made his way towards the caverns that led down to the base of Mt. Olympus.
A Few Hours Later:
"Come on, Isaac! The sooner we leave, the sooner we can get back to the Kingdom of Acorn!" Bunnie yelled out.
"In a minute! Just need to make sure things are good over here!" Isaac yelled back, handing the head of Zeus to Amphios. Amphios looked at Zeus, grinning rather mischievously.
"Looks like you're my prisoner now, Zeus." Amphios said, materializing an orb of water, encasing Zeus' head inside. Zeus attempted to yell in anger, but his voice was muffled and distorted by the water.
"You sure you're up for the mantle of Godhood? It's a lot of responsibility." Hermes asked.
"As long as my love is by my side, I will be fine." Amphios responded. A gentle hand found his way on his shoulder, startling him! He turned around, finding it was his beloved Medusa.
"You're out of the caves! All of you!" Amphios said, seeing Euryale and Stheno having accompanied her!
"I must admit, it's nice to be able to walk outside without worrying about turning someone to stone! Granted, we got a few gazes, but... we'll get used to it." Stheno said, ecstatic at being outside without disguises!
"I'm glad you're all here! Now.. I can do this." Amphios said, before kneeling. He quickly took Medusa's hand, whom was absolutely shocked!
"Medusa, jewel of Greece, my one and only love. I ask of you to join me by my side... as my Queen of the Seas." Amphios said, proposing to her. The only sound to exit from her mouth was the farthest from a word, but instead, a high-pitched squeal, to which her sisters soon made as well! It was enough for Hermes to have to shield his ears!
"Yes! Yes, my dear Amphios! Yes!" Medusa said, holding him in a strong embrace! Amphios was laughing, happy with her accepting his proposal. As they rejoiced, Isaac began speaking to Hermes.
"Will you be alright governing Olympus? I don't mean to concern you, but Hera and Athena might have it out for you." Isaac asked. Hermes nodded, straightening himself.
"I'm used to Hera. Athena's my sister, so... yeah, I'll make sure she doesn't take me by surprise. But first thing I'm doing is giving Hades a well-deserved vacation. My uncle needs it, especially to help with his condition. But I have a gift for you, Isaac." Hermes said, reaching into a magic satchel.
Hermes rooted around the bag, before pulling out an ancient Greek relic. It was the rolled hide of the Nemean Lion, salvaged from Heracles' corpse. While a bit bloodied, it was still intact.
"The hide of the Nemean Lion. A bit worn, but a bit of soap will spruce it up." Hermes said, awarding it to Isaac. Isaac took it, tucking the rolled hide under his arm.
"Thank you, Hermes. I just hope I will be able to make it before Sally goes into labor." Isaac said, boarding his sloop. Amphios, catching wind of this, began laughing uproariously.
"Make it? I can guarantee it! Medusa, my love, I will be back as soon as I can!" Amphios said, quickly giving her a kiss.
Amphios leaped off of the dock, the trident leading him in his dive into the water. Suddenly, the water began churning, surrounding and clinging to the sloop. The sloop quickly lurched forward, the sails filling with wind! The anchor magically retracted, allowing the ship to move forward!
"Goodbye, my friend! Olympus will sing of your victory for all eternity!" Hermes called out, donning his sandals and flying towards the summit of the mountain. The ship began picking up speed, faster than the sloop would've been capable of traveling by its own power! It was slicing through the water like a hot knife through butter!
"I've never sailed like this before! We're already a day's distance away from Spagonia!" Isaac marveled, seeing that they were practically skipping against the surface of the seas!
As they sailed, Amphios leaped out of the water, weilding the trident as if it were made out of feathers! He was laughing, quickly sprinting across the water! He leaped over the sloop, diving into the water on the opposite side of the ship!
"Amphios is having the time of his life, isn't he?" Antoine observed. But as they sailed, different creatures were leaping from the sea, all within Amphios' realm of rule! Mermaids swimming as dolphins with the ship, leaping in and out of the water!
"We might actually get there by the evening!" Isaac exclaimed, seeing the ship was showing no signs of slowing down.
Kingdom of Acorn: Early Evening
Sally was sitting upon the balcony of her chambers, wearing a heavy coat. Winter had arrived early, and the frost of the evening had set upon the land. But as she admired the change of seasons, she saw a ship out in the distance. A sloop, made from oak. She rubbed her eyes, not believing her own sight! But the more she studied the vessel, the more she began to realize that her dreams had finally become reality!
Isaac had finally returned home.
The moment 'The Drunken Nephilim' made it to harbor, Isaac practically leaped off of the prow of the ship, running towards Castle Acorn to finally be reunited with his family! But as Isaac ran towards the castle, the others calmly made their way off of the ship, still in shock by how fast the trip was, compared to how fast it was when they were traveling by wind alone.
"That had to be the fastest Trans-Atlantic crossing by boat ever! We made it back in less then a day!" Rotor analyzed.
"Well, we were running off of Sea-God power! There's nothing better than that!" Bunnie commented. At the mention of this, Amphios leaped from the harbor, deftly landing on the dock with a thud! He placed the trident on the dock, surveying the landscape.
"This is quite a beautiful land. Reminds me of Atlantis... at least, before it was engulfed by the depths below." Amphios observed.
"Thank you, Amphios. Now, we can finally take a well-deserved break from traveling!" Antoine said, walking towards the castle.
"It was my pleasure! Such power... it was exhilerating! Traveling the seas at such speeds! Hahahaha! It was unlike anything I have ever experienced!" Amphios responded, smiling widely.
"Are you going to head back to Medusa soon?" Bunnie asked, knowing Amphios wouldn't stay too long.
"I shall. But first, I wish to speak to the rulers of this land. Let them know I shall be more than willing to help, considering how much Isaac had helped me and Medusa and her sisters." Amphios answered.
The Throne Room:
Isaac burst through the doors that led to the throne room, disrupting the meeting being held! King Nigel quickly rose from his throne, seeing his son-in-law amongst the crowd!
"Isaac? Yes, Isaac! It is you! Royal court of the Kingdom of Acorn, my son-in-law has returned!" Nigel announced, followed by the cheers of his court echoing throughout the hall!
"NIgel, where's Sally? I must find her at once!" Isaac exclaimed.
"She is in the infirmary. Her doctor has said that Sally is due any day now. It would be best if you would go to her immediately." Nigel answered. Isaac nodded, quickly approaching his throne. Reaching for the rolled hide from under his arm, Isaac unfurled it, presenting it to King NIgel.
"King Nigel, it is with great pride that I wish to present to you the hide of the Nemean Lion, once worn by Heracles himself! Immune to conventional weapons, it as great an armor as it is rare! I give this to you." Isaac said, formally presenting the hide to Nigel.
Nigel was absolutely speechless! A relic of Ancient Greece, a trophy of one of Heracles' twelve labors, present in his own court! Nigel rose from his throne, hesitantly taking the hide from Isaac.
"My God... you actually did it." Nigel finally spoke, still awestruck by the feat.
"I always keep my promises, Nigel. I will be seeing you." Isaac said, before running in the direction of the infirmary. But as Isaac ran through the hall, he passed Queen Alicia, who soon walked herself into the court.
"Nigel, was that Isaac? When did he get back?" She questioned, confused by his sudden appearance.
"Just today... along with the hide of the Nemean Lion." Nigel revealed, showing the pelt to his queen. Alicia was shocked, not realizing that Isaac would've somehow been able to retrieve the aforementioned relic.
"How did he manage to get here in one day?!" Alica exclaimed, not finding it possible.
"That would be because of me." A voice announced, attracting the gazes of King Nigel's court. Amphios walked into the room, followed by Rotor, Antoine, and Bunnie. Amphios' trident hitting the floor of the court rang through the hall, making his presence well-known.
"Who are you, stranger?" NIgel asked, never before seeing this man. Amphios smiled, taking appreciation from being asked who he was.
"King Nigel, the just ruler of the Kingdom of Acorn... I am Amphios. And I... I be the God of the Seas themselves." He calmly revealed.
"You... you're the Greek God of the Seas?" Nigel asked, never before hearing of him.
"Yes, it was a... rather recent change of position. After defeating the tyrant that was Poseidon, I became the new God of the Seas. And if it weren't for Isaac, I would still be a blind prophet, living in a cavern. And because of your son-in-law's kindness, I am prepared to give you my favor." Amphios announced.
"You're favor? What kind of favor?" NIgel asked.
"I will divert the currents from the most fertile fishing grounds of this planet. Great bountiful harvests from the oceans await your kingdom! All I need from you is your permission to do so." Amphios explained.
"Forgive me for asking this, but what is the catch?" NIgel asked. Amphios laughed, knowing that a mortal such as Nigel wouldn't just trust a foreign God.
"My dear friend, that is the beauty of this favor! There is no catch! Isaac has freed Olympus from Zeus' rule! A new era of peace reigns over Olympus! It is simply what is owed to him!" Amphios explained.
After some hesitation, Nigel saw no reason why Amphios wouldn't keep his word. After all, it was enticing! the Kingdom's fishing industry has suffered in recent years, due to their limits of their equipement and manpower! More fish would be a godsend!
"And when would we expect the next harvest?" Nigel asked.
"The spring, when the currents draw from the Mediterannean shores. It shall be yours." Amphios answered.
"Then be it. I will accept your favor." Nigel said. Amphios nodded, turning towards the exit.
"Oh, and give my congratulations to Isaac's bride. In my last moments of the sight, I have foreseen a bright future. For this Kingdom, and for your family. And it all begins with the birth of your granddaughter." Amphios said, before walking towards the exit.
The Infirmary:
"Yes, everything is going smoothly! The baby's heart sounds good, and you're coming along perfectly. You're in the best shape for this delivery, Princess. Just remember, take it easy and continue with the nutrition plan I gave you. You'll be delivering a healthy baby any day now." The Doctor said, taking a stethescope from Sally's enlarged stomach.
Sally was becoming more and more nervous for her due date! But it wasn't all bad. Lily had been more than vigilant in Isaac's stead of protecting her! But she knew she saw Isaac's ship coming into harbor! But why wasn't he here yet?!
"I swear, if Isaac is just chilling at the docks, I'm going to march down there and kick his ass!" Sally said, showing signs of anger.
"Calm down, Sally. That's just the hormones talking. You know Isaac loves you with all of his heart. And I'm sure he wouldn't want to keep you waiting, unless there was good reason." The doctor said, helping her sit up straight.
"Like what? I saw it from my balcony! There should be no reason Isaac wouldn't be here!" Sally exclaimed. But as soon as she had said that, she heard rapid footsteps in the hallway! They were getting closer, before the door swung open, revealing a panting Isaac, who had been running at a dead sprint through the whole castle!
"Sally!" Isaac exclaimed, relieved to see she hadn't given birth yet.
"Isaac! You're back!" Sally responded, quickly running to Isaac and embracing him, kissing him and crying. Isaac was more than willing to return the favor.
"Oh, Isaac! I was so scared! I was scared you wouldn't come back! Please, don't sail without me again, please!" Sally cried, burying her face into his chest. Isaac stroked her hair, calming her down.
"Shhh, it's okay. I'm here. And I'm not leaving without you ever again." Isaac said, kissing her.
As they embraced, Lily walked into the infirmary, prepared to escort Sally back to her chambers. But the moment she saw Isaac, all notions of being Sally's guard fell away. Tears were welling up in her eyes, seeing her brother for the first time in weeks!
"Isaac!" Lily cried out, leaping and clinging onto Isaac, refusing to let go! Isaac quickly snatched her up, embracing her tightly!
"I'm not letting you out of my sight ever again, Lily! From now on, both of you are coming with me wherever I go! No exceptions!" Isaac announced, hugging them both tightly.
But as he hugged them, Sally made a gasp of pain. Soon, Isaac felt his hand grasped by Sally's. He looked to her, seeing she was holding onto her stomach, gasping.
"Sally?" Isaac questioned, having seen this only once before with his own mother.
"Isaac... it's time." Sally said.
