Chapter 21: Rage of the Prince

Night has fallen as Eliza, Twilight, "Shadow" Flynn and Shenlong met with Discord, Fluttershy, Rarity and Kit.

Unfortunately, CT Darkling Drac and Gerles have came alongside the now evil vampire Mario the Sonic Plush.

He now has fangs, his quills/hair are disheveled, his eyes are now red and his blue color and peach skin color have become pale.

He looks like a vampire.

"Now, this is where you will do our bidding." said Darkling, with a smirk.

Darkling chuckles. The glow from the vampire's evil eyes are shining, overshadowing the night sky.

"Don't let us down." said Gerlies. "We're warning you."

Gerlies stares at the evil vampire prince, with a creepy glare that would make him shudder.

The now evil vampire Mario the Sonic Plush licks his lips.

In a fit of anger and rage, he walks over to Discord.

MTSP then picks Discord up with his bare hands.

He sucks his fangs into Discord's skin, biting him.

Discord's magic is disappearing, one by one, until his eyes become all white with no pupils, and his skin gets all wrinkly.

Discord screams.

"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?! PUT ME DOWN NOW!" Discord yelled.

"Finally. After all these four years, I finally get to do this to you." he said "I get to hurt you. You have done nothing but humiliate me, shame me for stupid mistakes, and you were being an obnoxious prick. You even called me 'slow.' I don't buy your so called 'reformation'. You are no good. You will forever be a piece of garbage. You are a giant hypocrite yourself, as well. You made up all these lies about me. You make me out to be a psychopath. I am not. You are the monster here. You're the one to talk when you had put Equestria in danger many times. You are dangerous. I don't care what you and anyone else says. You are.

The worst part is that Fluttershy loves you. She thinks what you are doing is alright. Even the Princess rulers; Celestia and Luna think that. I don't stand for it all.

My revenge will be sweet. I am no prince, not anymore, and I shall not be made like a fool. You thought I was done beating you up after what I had done to you the last time? No. I am not. I'll show you what this 'slow man' will do to wastes of oxygen like you." he said.

Mario the Sonic Plush looks at the draconequss with an evil, cruel, malicious, psychopathic look on his face.

"This is what I should have done a long time now. Finally, I got my chance." MTSP said.

Mario the Sonic Plush chuckles. He wonders why he even tolerated Discord's presence in the first place.

The prince then fires a blast towards Discord. He disintegrates the draconequus one by one.

Discord lets out one final scream.

"NOOARGGGGHHHH!"

This is Discord's last stand. Discord perishes, his skin separating from his bones, in a white, blinding light.

He is gone.

Mario brutally killed Discord, and this time, with no remorse or pity. All there is left is a hole where Discord once was.

He did it out of evil.

Mario chuckles.

Mario the Sonic Plush's POV

Discord is dead. Good riddance! I couldn't stand that guy.

I walk around on the grounds of all Equestria at night, to my former allies.

I smirk.

I draw leftover energy from the dead skin of Discord. My fangs are absorbing all of that.

Eliza backs away. Kit gets angry. He turns into a dark version of himself. His eyes are glowing red, his fur is a dark grey, there is a mystic purple aura surrounding him, and he begins floating in the air. He grits his teeth and looks at the evil Mario the Sonic Plush with the intention of stopping him from killing anymore people.

"Alright, hedgehog, this is the last straw! You are going down!" says the dark Kit, readying flames in his palms. Vampiric Mario the Sonic Plush laughs like a maniac. "It is you who will go down. You're mine next, fox." he smirks as he launches forward to attack Kit. Kit simply dodges the attack, but is caught off-guard when Vampiric Mario teleports in front of his face.

"Surprise!" Vampiric Mario said as he punched Kit in the face, making him crash into a wall. Kit spits mucus but regains his strength quickly with his dark powers and creates a fireball in his hands. "Take this, you freak!" says Kit as he throws one at Mario. But unfortunately for him, he dodges and it happens to burn down a small section of a library.

"You'll pay for that, garbage!" Vampiric Mario shouts as he creates a stream of lightning in his hand and reaches forward to punch Kit in the stomach. Kit tries to dodge but the electricity flowing through Mario's hand latches on to him causing him to suffer damage.

"Aaaaaaagghh!" roared dark Kit, as he clutches his body in pain. "Though I must say you are just about as strong as me, I still feel like you're weaker than me!" says Mario, grabbing ahold tightly of Kit's neck. Kit begins to choke. The dark energy seems to be fading. But then….

Kit uses his right hand to burn Mario's arm. Mario grunts and lets go of Kit. This buys Kit enough time to make a strong counterattack. Kit encases Mario in a floating dark orb and sends him flying to a wall, meanwhile the orb sucks away half of Mario's fighting energy at the same time.

Mario gets up, but merely dodges a swift kick to the chin from Kit. Kit looks at the wall crashing down on him and has little time to escape, but simply teleports away from the destruction. "Heh. Mario, you're stronger than last time. I can still beat you, though." says Kit.

"Not so fast," says Mario as he grabs Kit from behind, "I'm not as weak as you thought I was. This time, I'm stronger than you'll ever be."

He kicks Kit up in the air, then teleports above his floating body and punches him in the stomach, the force causing him to drop down faster than he normally would. Kit tries to get up, but both his arms are stepped on by Mario. He looks down on the pitiful Kit, eager to end his life. "How does it feel? How does it feel to be the one getting beat up on? Huh? You and your stupid little sob stories! My life is far worse than yours...yet you make it out to be that you were the one who was hurt the most. You deserve no sympathy from me. I won't regret killing you!" said Mario, "Now, I shall bite you, and suck you dry of your powers."

Kit spits on Mario's face. "Well SCREW you then! You think I just talk about those things just to gain sympathy? NO! Screw my life. I didn't ask for it. You should shut your mouth, cause you have NO idea what you're saying!" yelled Kit.

Evil Mario chuckles. "I take it you don't wanna exist anymore. Fine by me."

"Were you even listening to what I just said, FOOL? I can't believe you killed Discord! I can't believe you're killing your own friends! It's madness!" said Kit, on the verge of tears.

Vampric Mario then picks Kit up. He restrains him in a chokehold. He bites Kit with his fangs, draining all the energy from him. Kit's eyes then fade, becoming glassy.

"Why..why did YOU do this?!" yelled Kit

"I AM madness! I AM a vampire!" roared Vampiric Mario, as he extended his arm to create a ball of dark red thunder.

"There's no escaping from your fate. Now…." said evil Mario as Kit closed his eyes.

"DIE!" he yelled as the blast consumed Kit's head. His body transformed into a skeleton. Vampiric Mario walks away. "Good. I'll never see that dumb fox ever again." he said while laughing.

Shenlong is speechless. He has never expected his best friend to turn himself over to the dark side.

Fluttershy is shedding tears of pain and horror. Rarity is consoling her friend.

Eliza and Twilight are in horror. This definitely is not the real Mario the Sonic Plush. This is a literal monster vampire that has taken his place.

Twilight Sparkle's POV

I stand there, with three of my friends still standing. Eliza, Fluttershy and Rarity.

"Unbelievable…." said Eliza, crying. "I never expected that- Mario would become a literal monster! He really is gone…he's replaced with this THING! This EVIL VAMPIRE! There's no hope. My dear Kit is dead. Discord is dead. Who knows what this thing will do to more or us. It's useless."

I look at Eliza, with seriousness in my eyes. I let out a few tears, but I am taking this with stride.

"You're wrong, Eliza. The real Mario is definitely still here somewhere. The kind, loyal, polite, friendly, funny, cool and good man can not be gone forever. It just doesn't work that way. He's probably fighting off the evil possession. I know he still has good in him! I have faith in my boyfriend. I will bring him back. We must not give up on him."

"Right." said my friend Rarity. "We shall not. This is not him at all!"

"I hope you're right…I have given up on him." said Eliza

Eliza begins to yell.

"How dare the guy who was once my best friend turned on us and kill my boyfriend! I was wrong about him. He really is a MONSTER!"

Eliza is pissed. Pissed that the thing that replaced my boyfriend killed her boyfriend.

I don't blame her.

"However, I still won't give up on Mario! Somewhere, there is still good in him. I just know it!" I thought.

Mario cries. Tears of pain and agony come down from his face. He didn't want this curse at all. I don't even think Darkling ever wanted to do this to him either.

The poor guy. He's struggling to even fight off the evil.

Me and Rarity walk up to him.

Mario the Sonic Plush's POV.

I look at my two former girls right there. They are crying.

Great. Now they are taking pity on me. They don't deserve any of my sympathy for sure. I'm just ready to dispose of them in an instant.

I look at them, startled and confused. I shout.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?!"

My head starts pounding.

My body…internally…

My good side is speaking. Nobody else can hear it but myself.

No, I was destined to be evil, right?! This "curse" from Darkling is not a curse at all. It definitely helped me!

WHAT DO YOU WANT?! WHAT DO YOU WANT?! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!

I hear those words echoing.

My good side comes.

"No. This is not what I wanted to be. I never asked to be evil. I never asked to be this horrible monster nor even a vampire. I never asked to kill any of my friends, nor rivals. Not even Discord. This is not right! Darkling should not get away. Come on, Mario. Fight this evil!"

My good prince side had said this and is trying to kill me. Screw him. Being evil rules! No friends. No nothing. Just me and my conquest for fame. The world will be empty, as it deserves to be. It will be ruled over by me and Darkling!

Twilight Sparkle's POV

"Come on, Mario. I want to see the real you again. You have to fight it. This is not good at all. We love you! Me and Rarity can't bare to see you this way. Please come back to us!" I yelled.

"Darling, we never wanted to hurt you in the first place. Screw what Discord says, he doesn't know Jack squat. You shouldn't have killed him however, nor Kit. Nobody should have been killed. Please listen. Why did I have to be you?! It should have been ME!" Rarity said.

She bursts into tears, seeing Mario like this. I shed tears with her too and hug her.

This vampire Mario then yells at us.

"LIARS! You only want to use me!"

The vampire Mario breaks down, with tears streaming down his face.

"That's not true. We only want the real you to come back again. The good one." I said.

The vampire Mario snapped.

"What do you mean by that?! This is the real me! I have no friends, nor anybody that actually supports me. Who needs them anyways, when you can just go and cause carnage & destruction!" the vampire Mario yelled out.

"And why did you become like this in the first place? What made you decide that this curse is good for you?" asked Rarity.

"That's exactly what we want to know so we can help you." I said.

Evil Mario sighs.

"There are those specimens who want to hurt me. They want to use me, only to hurt me. Darkling and Gerlies were correct. Friendship is all a lie. I have been hurt, abused and tortured all my life since childhood! This is who I would be if I never...got any support. It's better off that I never got the support from my so called "friends" and "mother" in the first place." he said. "Friends are worthless. They end up leaving you as you get older. They don't stick around forever."

"Don't you get it, Twilight Sparkle?! Not everything can be solved by friendship and love! Be realistic. It does NOT work!" yelled the vampire Mario.

Me and Rarity stand there, in shock.

I never expected this guy, my boyfriend and the prince to have gone through so much. We had no idea that he suffered and did not have a good childhood.

I understand how he feels. I really do. I was bullied and harassed at Magic Kindergarten. Even the teacher there was mean and sided with the bullies. It was before I met Spike and my true friends but still.

I had it just as bad. Had me and Mario each not had the support of friends, then perhaps we both would have been evil.

I then think about what Evil Mario just said about friendship, and wonder if that was actually the cold hard truth all alone. I ponder. I can think the same words and voice in my head.

"Don't you get it, Twilight Sparkle?! Not everything can be solved by friendship and love! Be realistic. It does NOT work!"

It does NOT work! It does NOT work!

I let all of that sink into my mind. I hate to admit it, but now thinking about it further, Vampiric Mario does have a point. He's actually right about one thing.

Not everything can be solved by friendship. Every single problem can not be solved by just friendship. Some may not have friends to help them, and solve it themselves. That's the cold hard truth.

However, it doesn't mean I can't stand by my principles in terms of keeping friendship in Equestria alive, even if I have to sacrifice my life to make that happen.

"Come on, darling. Fight it through." said Rarity.

"Yeah. You can do it, honey!" I said.

Mario the Sonic Plush's POV

My good side is calling me. I can hear him, trying to snap me out. Out of what? Of who I truly am?

It's disgusting and pathetic if you ask me.

I glare at Twilight and Rarity, wanting a challenge from the both of them.

"Just fight me. Already!" I yelled out.

I breathe.

"However, I will still win so your attacks won't be effective." I said.

Twilight closes her eyes and looks at me.

"Twilight, are you honestly going to handle this on your own? Why don't I help you fight him and return him normal?" asked Rarity. "You honestly need some help here."

"Yes. But I'm sorry Rarity. It's something I must do alone." said Twilight.

Rarity just stands there, doing nothing as she watches the fight between me and Twilight.

Twilight Sparkle's POV

I exchange glances with my possessed boyfriend.

"Give it up, girly. You are no match for my power!" yelled out Evil Mario.

"Oh yeah? We'll see about that!" I yelled out.

I levitate the vampire Mario in the air and throw him at a wall. He is seriously injured. But he gets back up and tries to bite me with his fangs. He then casts pyrokinesis, creating a column of flames around me. But I am able to put the flames out by causing a rain storm to appear from above. He gets angry and runs to punch me in the face. I teleport behind him and use my horn to cause him to trip and fall into some mud. My friends cheer for me. But the cheering abruptly stops as the vampire Mario is right beside me. "Got you," he says as he knocks me down. "It was only a clone of myself. Ha! Easily fooled you, Twilight."

I get up but not before he launches another vicious attack to my head. I quickly dodge and shoot concussive blasts from my horn at Mario. He laughs as I notice there are multiple clones of him. Each clone self-destructs whenever I destroy one. They all lunge forward at me, hoping to trap me and destroy me. But I am smart and lift all of them up and toss them into the sky. The real Mario is able to counter the levitation spell by transforming himself into a stone. As soon as he reached the ground, he transforms back into himself. Instead of attacking me head on, this time he teleports behind me. As I turn around, he has a ball of red lightning in his hands, using the same sort of attack he used to kill Kit. I gasp and knock the blast out of his hands. He smirks. "Good one." he says, trying to amuse me. But I don't react and I knock him out with a concussion blast.

I notice that his clones have suddenly come back with swords, all of them running at me and my friends. But I have a trick up my sleeve as I manipulate their thoughts to make them self-destruct and turn into clouds of smoke. Mario gets up, but begins to levitate himself in the air, his eyes glowing red. He then creates arcs of lightning from his palms, but I don't worry as I create a forcefield around me, negating his attack.

This display of force lasts for only a few moments, as I turn water from the lake into a wave with my magic and he is washed away.

Suddenly, Mario emerges from the lake. He breathes heavily as his head is looking down at the ground. He is trying to purge himself of his monster, evil vampire self.

I cry.

"Mario…please. Come back to me. I can't handle losing my boyfriend to this monster." I said.

He thinks about what I said.

Mario the Sonic Plush's POV

What Twilight had said suddenly echos in my head.

"Mario…please. Come back to me. I can't handle losing my boyfriend to this monster."

My normal, good side finally takes over. Twilight and Rarity can hear the pain in my voice.

"I can't do this…I don't want to hurt anybody. I never asked for this curse to begin with. It ended up killing Discord and Kit. Being evil is not good. It's wrong!" I said.

"No. We only want to help you especially to become stronger! We shall suck off all the energy and magic in Equestria. You can't do this to us, Mario the Sonic Plush. The world has wronged us. We will be unstoppable."

"Well too bad. Be gone!" I yelled out.

I press my gloves, my hands, onto my belly. It creates a blue and white light and the evil curse that had taken my form is released out of me.

My evil vampire self starts to speak in Darkling's voice.

"No! This can't be! NOOOOO!"

"Sorry man, but we just aren't compatible." I said.

The vampire Mario forms into a dark red cloud and explodes.

The blue and white light revives two of which my evil vampire self previously killed. The first one to wake up is Kit. He has a shocked and surprised expression on his face, but happy that he came back to life.

Discord wakes up not long after Kit, and he laughs in total happiness.

Discord runs up to Fluttershy and hugs him.

"Oh, Discord. I am so happy you came back. We thought you were a goner." said Fluttershy, crying out happy tears.

"Me too, Fluttershy." said Discord.

Shenlong hugs me and cries happy tears on my shoulder.

"Oh, Mario...my best friend. I am happy that you came back and that your evil self is gone. We really need you so much. I don't know what I would do without you, man." said Shenlong.

"Yeah. This time, I am here to stay." I said, with a proud smirk on my face.

Eliza kisses Kit on the cheek and pats his shoulder.

Eliza smirks.

"I am just glad you're back, hun." she said.

Eliza looks at me with a smile on her face.

"And Mario, thank you for not only coming back but also reviving Kit and Discord. Especially my Kit." said Eliza.

She gives me a thumbs up.

I chuckle.

"Oh, it's not a problem at all." I said.

All nine of us face towards Darkling and Gerlies.

Darkling smirks and is relieved that I am back while Gerlies is pissed.

"HOW DARE YOU DEFY USSSSS!" yelled Gerlies. "Boss, let's show the toy and his friends who they are messing with."

Darkling nods.

"Well, it would certainly be a good challenge." the vampire said.

"Don't worry. I am going to destroy you, Gerlies, and we shall bring Darkling back to sanity." I said.
