Chapter 22: Stop the darkness, now!
CT Darkling Drac laughs.
"You'll never be able to stop us!" Darkling exclaimed.
Mario growls.
Draci is walking around in Equestria, and then he sees his father facing to MTSP, Eliza, and their friends. Tears come out of Draci's eyes. The poor kid is balling.
"Come on. Why not you and Eliza join me and we will run this whole operation together." said Darkling, extending his hand out to MTSP.
Mario thinks about it for a second.
"Don't do it…this is about stopping Gerlies and restoring my father." said Eliza. "We don't need to do this."
"Ok, fine. We shall join you but first, you'll have to agree to terms and conditions. The conditions are that we are going to have to defeat Gerlies and restore you back to sanity. Then you'll join our side. You know, becoming good." said MTSP.
Darkling screams.
"NEVER!"
"Dad…I know you are denying it but you have to trust yourself. There's still good in you. We know there is. We are trying to help." said Eliza.
Bloody tears come streaming down Darkling's eyes.
"I know things were ugly between you and Mom, but that was eleven years ago! Mom saw who Billy Shay truly was and kicked him out. She's actually been missing you for years. I think she does forgive you and you have to forgive her. We need to truly be a family again…I don't want to lose my dad! Please come back!" exclaimed Eliza.
Draci suddenly pops up out of nowhere and walks up to his father.
"Look. I know things have been rough for years. I know your instinct is to be a monster. I know what we are. I know what I am, a half-vampire kid. But you know what? You can change. Me, my big sis, and all of us. We all have faith in you. Really." said Draci.
"I…can't. I'm sorry. I must fulfill it. I should take back what should have been mine!" yelled out Darkling.
Gerlies nods in agreement.
Eliza turns around and notices Draci.
She then runs up and hugs her little brother.
"Draci…oh thank god you are okay. I thought we lost you forever. It's great to have you back." said Eliza, who is crying happy tears.
"Yeah, me too. I thought you died…I was panicking." said Draci.
Mario faces the others: Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Discord, Kit and Shenlong.
"Guys. This is Draci, Eliza's little brother." said Mario, introducing them to Draci. "Draci, these guys are our friends and allies. Also, Twilight & Rarity, my two girlfriends."
"Hello everyone. It's nice to meet you." said Draci.
"It's nice to meet you." said Twilight.
"Well…you look awfully a lot like your father, practically his spitting image." said Shenlong.
"Please don't…" said Draci, mumbling.
"Alright, alright." said Shenlong "You're fine, kid."
"Good" said Draci.
"So? What's the plan here?" asked Discord.
"Simple, Discord. We defeat Darkling's commander Gerlies; and then restore the vampire back to sanity" said Twilight.
Discord groans.
"Come on, Discord! This sounds like a great plan!" said Fluttershy.
"Yeah, stop being a pussy for once" said Mario.
Discord throws a fire ball from his claw at Darkling.
Darkling dodges the attack.
"Not even the so called 'Lord of Chaos' can stop me…You are going to have to do much better than that." taunted Darkling.
Darkling slices his claws through Mario's chest, with a small tint of red blood pouring from his chest.
Twilight puts her hoof right on the Prince's chest to heal.
Gerlies smirks.
"Dad…come back…" Eliza's tears are shedding.
"Please Daddy. We need you!" exclaimed Draci.
Gerlies sees this as an opportunity to attack Kit.
Kit dodges Gerlies and slams him to the ground.
Gerlies gets back up.
Draci sticks his huge claws into Gerlies. Gerlies is screaming.
Darkling charges towards his son.
Rarity tackles Darkling to the ground.
"This is not fair! My father….please return." Eliza said, praying to herself.
Draci mutters "Come back…" from his mouth.
Gerlies laughs.
"Oh, you dear children. Your daddy is not coming back. As far as we are concerned, this is who he is. A brutal savage just like us. And once he has served his purpose here, we will get rid of him." said Gerlies, talking to Draci and Eliza.
Eliza growls in anger.
Draci cries.
"I know my father. You're not like him, Gerlies. Dad, I know you aren't this evil. You know you can still be good and redeem yourself if you just tried" said Draci.
"My little bro is right." said Eliza.
CT Darkling Drac grins.
MTSP and Twilight turn to face him. Kit, Shenlong, Discord, Fluttershy, Rarity and Eliza follow suit. Draci joins in with them.
"Alright. We are going to put you down. Release the evil from you. There's good in you but we will help unleash it." said MTSP.
"Good luck trying to "save" me. There is no way you will." said Darkling. "It's hilarious that you people don't know the reason why I turned this way."
Darkling chuckles.
"For your information, I do. You know that I do, because when you and Gerlies cursed me, you knew just how I felt before." said Mario.
Eliza and Twilight both agree with that.
Shenlong scowls at Darkling. He backtracked on his sympathy towards him.
He doesn't forgive the vampire for corrupting his best friend, even if almost half of it was Gerlies's fault.
Discord sticks a middle finger towards Darkling.
"Fuck you, murderous piece of shit. You aren't worthy of any redemption at all!" yelled Discord.
"Says the individual who almost took over Equestria and destroyed it. I wouldn't be talking if I were you, "Dickcord'." said Twilight.
"I was referring to rest of you. How pathetic. Flynn, it's hilarious how It took eleven years before you finally started to realize the big picture. Well, it's too late. You all should die by my hands" said CT Darkling.
Just when the vampire is about to insert an axe into Shadow Flynn's stomach, Mario teleports the axe back to the vampire and destroys it.
The vampire gasps.
"What?! But how?!" exclaimed Darkling.
"What's going on here?!" exclaimed Gerlies.
I held my hand to Twilight. She does it to Rarity, then Rarity does it to Fluttershy, then Shenlong holds his hand to Shadow, then Eliza, then Kit and Draci.
(The Sonic Heroes theme plays)
Suddenly, they all turn yellow. Except for Kit, who turns a light green, Eliza whose hair turns blue like in her super powered form, Discord turns a darker gray, and Twilight, Fluttershy and Rarity who have turned rainbow or more specifically, their manes turned rainbow.
"Friendship may not always work but we will still fight for it!" said Twilight.
"You said it, Twi! We will forever fight for Friendship and Freedom! That means you, Gerlies will be obliterated to the sun and Darkling shall be sane again!" yelled out MTSP.
Gerlies screams.
MTSP, Twilight, Eliza, Kit, Shenlong, Draci, Discord, Twilight, Rarity and Fluttershy use a chaotic blast attack and blasts Gerlies into the sky until he finally reaches the setting sun at 6:00 AM.
The magic left over from the super powered heroes is beginning to restore Darkling back to sanity.
Darkling sheds some tears as he hugs his kids Eliza and Draci. For the first time in over 10 years, he feels human.
"I am so proud of you…" Darkling said, as he hugs them both.
Eliza smirks. Draci grins.
The dark soul that had possessed, corrupted and took advantage of an insane psychopathic Darkling leaves his body. Light is surrounding the vampire.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"' The dark soul is screeching.
Darkling faints, seemingly unconscious.
The vampire then gets back up.
Darkling is confused.
"Huh? How did this happen? Am I…." said Darkling.
"Yes, Darkling. We brought you back to sanity. We banished Gerlies and now you're free." said MTSP "However I couldn't have done it without my allies."
Darkling looks at both "Shadow" Flynn and Shenlong, with guilt and remorse for his past actions.
"I'm sorry…for what I had done. It's wrong I know. I killed a few, tortured many, praying on three fillies, and corrupted MTSP when he was trying to help. I went insane because of what I had lost…" Darkling said, as he is crying "Can you two ever forgive me?"
"Don't worry old foe, I forgive you already." said "Shadow" Flynn.
"I still dislike that you possessed and corrupted my best friend Mario but seeing as that whole ordeal is over and that you are proving that you can change your ways, I am willing to forgive you after all." said Shenlong.
Everyone else agrees with both of what the two said.
"So, Darkling. How about we join forces with each other? Let's stop fighting each other and go hunt monsters that are truly hurting innocent people, okay?" said "Shadow" Flynn, as he lends a hand to his former arch-nemesis.
Darkling sheds out a tear, smiles and shakes my friend "Shadow" 's hand.
"Alright. But if we don't get along, I don't think I would go easy on you." said Darkling.
Both former foes smirk at each other.
The rest all smile at the two, happy that Flynn and Darkling made up.
Mario the Sonic Plush's POV
A familiar, female voice calls out to Darkling.
"Darkling! Wait!" she yelled out.
The woman walks right towards Darkling. Her long, flowing bright blonde hair and beautiful gray eyes just like Eliza, and this time she's wearing a green jacket hoodie, and jeans.
I recognize her.
It's Eliza's mom, Kelly. Kelly Ventalegi. Darkling's ex-wife.
I haven't seen her for ages, since the whole incident of Billy manipulating her into divorcing Darkling and taking her away from him. The man who she really loved.
I swear, I want to kill Billy Shay for what he had done. The monster he had a hand in creating. I also now have a funny feeling that Darkling's mother, Angelic is still around too, and also had something to do with it.
"Darkling, I am really sorry for believing Billy and putting you through this mess. I apologize. The truth is that he manipulated me, and told me lied about you. I almost believed them but I saw the look in that man's eyes. I didn't want to believe he was lying snd that he was really telling the truth, since he seemed so nice, but then...after I had to leave you for him, we married and you had custody over the kids. I didn't even believe our kids at first, thinking that Billy wouldn't be so bad at all. However, our children...they apparently were telling the truth all along. They were seriously abused by the man. Sexual abuse, physical abuse, and even verbal abuse. I can't imagine all the horrible things he had done to Eliza and Draci while I was not there. I wanted to do something about it, but I just couldn't. I was too powerless to stop him.
It got even worse when I realized later on, when Draci went to kindergarten and Eliza went to Middle school, that this was the same man who, when he was a boy, always flirted with me like a pervert and bullied you, while making you an outcast & saying bullshit about you just because your mother happened to be one of the most evil, inhuman things on the earth. I couldn't believe I didn't recognize him. He always was chubby and had dark brown hair. It must be because he grew up looking like Paul Bunyan, with the thick beard and all of that. Apparently, the man never changed at all and only gotten worse. He must have found out that I knew, because he slapped me, and threw me down to the ground. He slammed me with a beer bottle. The abuse only got worse, and I couldn't take it anymore. A year later, I kicked him out. I divorced his sorry, ugly ass. Billy was thrown in jail not long after wards.
I understand why you fought and got custody over our children while we separated. You really did care for us, and you tried to protect and help them. Oh...I only wish you could have been able to be with me to stop Billy. I should have trusted you! I regret ever leaving you in the first place, especially for the creep. Oh, I don't love Billy. I love you, and only you!" Kelly exclaimed.
Kelly cries, as she rests on Darkling's shoulder.
Darkling stands there in shock. He seriously didn't think that Kelly still loved him, at all. Especially not after the damage he had caused.
"I-I didn't know. You still love me...even after all the damage I have caused. How?
Well, I really am sorry too. For everything. For all the damage I have caused. I understand if you don't want to get with me after t-" said Darkling as he got cut off.
"Darkling, you didn't even cause that much damage. Everyone has thought you were an evil, cruel, violent, vicious, disgusting monster. The world had shunned and wronged you all your life. The worst you had done was kill only 4 or 5 people, possess Mario, and only threaten to kill some if they had stood in your way. You aren't all bad and I always have known this. I really forgive you." Kelly said, as she hugs onto Darkling.
Kelly stops hugging her ex-husband, and then pulls out a new wedding ring.
"Let's start our relationship again. Our marriage. Our children need the both of us. Will you remarry me? Like marry me again?" said Kelly, as she proposes to her vampire ex.
Darkling sniffs. He cries happily.
"Yes...I do..." said Darkling.
Kelly puts the ring on Darkling's finger.
Darkling runs up and hugs Kelly. Both Kelly and Darkling start kissing each other and make out.
We all smiled.
"Yes! Finally. About time that our parents made up!" said Draci.
"Yeah. Well, it's too bad that it took over 10 years for this to happen, but eh. At least everything's good now in our family" said Eliza.
Twilight and Rarity both look at me.
"You wanna know who will do this next right?" Twilight asked.
"Come on, darling. You have to propose to us at some point." said Rarity.
Both Twilight and Rarity wink at me, flirty.
I blush, feeling all embarrassed.
"Come on, ladies! I am not interested in marriage, at least not now! Can we please just stick to dating?!"
Twilight nods, respecting my wish.
Rarity hugs me. She also respects my wish to not marry the both of them yet and stick to dating.
Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and the Royal guards appear. One of them is holding handcuffs.
"Oh, Princess Celestia. Luna. How wonderful to see you too?" said Twilight, smiling.
Once again, both Princess rulers are hot.
"Good work to you all, for stopping among the biggest threats in history. You have also managed to successfully restore one to sanity and redeem him." said Celestia.
"You're welcome, your highness. We are glad to help." said Shenlong, as he bows down to Celestia and Luna, with two hands together like he's praying.
"However...as a result of the threats he has made across Equestria, we are going to have to arrest this vampire right here. He will be sent to Tartarus, at least temporarily." said Luna.
I am furious.
How dare they...do this to him?! I understand Darkling was being a psychopath but this dude wasn't even that much of a major threat at all! If anything, Gerlies was the more threatening one while Darkling stood there as a commander but not doing too much.
"Listen here, Celestia and Luna! Darkling might have been a psychopath and honestly, tricked the Cutie Mark Crusaders but no way in hell was he ever a major threat to Equestria. The only truly evil thing he ever did, like at all, was possess me, but even then, that was only temporary and was never meant to be permanent!" I yelled "And Celestia, how come when Discord almost raged havoc in Equestria with Tirek all the way back before I truly came here, that you didn't arrest him?! Why is it ok for only a minor threat Darkling to get punished this way but not Discord?! Explain!"
"Calm down. Prince Mario. Darkling will only be there for a few days, or a week. He'll be freed before you know it. Think about it, as like a time out for his actions. Unfortunately, he'll be stuck with Tirek, who had just ran away from his homeland (he didn't want to face punishment there by his own family), during those times and although his threats and schemes were only small, keep this in mind, that he could have done more damage than Discord ever did had you all not helped." said Celestia.
I sigh.
Eliza face palms at the whole thing. Kit pats his girlfriend on the shoulder, sympathetically. Draci cries.
Discord shrugs. Shenlong, "Shadow" Flynn, Fluttershy, Twilight and Rarity are disappointed that this temporary arrest has to happen in the first place but I think they understood why it had to happen this way.
The Royal guard wraps the vampire's hands in handcuffs, where Darkling would get temporarily arrested in Tartarus.
"Come on, vampire. Enjoy your brief stay in Tartarus." he said.
Darkling gets put to sleep thanks to magic from Luna.
Darkling gets taken away by Celestia, Luna and the Royal guards all the way to Tartarus.
I face Eliza, whose tears are shedding down from her eyes.
"Eliza...I promise. Your dad is going to be okay. It's only a temporary arrest. He'll be freed before you know it." I said.
Eliza nods.
She tries to smile. She knows her father should be okay, and that, given a few days to a weeks time, he will be freed once and for all from Tartarus.

CT Darkling Drac's POV
The next thing I know, the magic that put me to sleep had worn off.
I wake up in a cell in this place called "Tartarus". It's a horrible prison. It looked exactly like hell.
I shake in my cell, horrified. Why was I even put in there in the first place?
Maybe I might have deserved it because my actions were horrible, but seriously! This is beyond a simple punishment.
Suddenly, a creepy, red skinned, centaur with yellow eyes but in fact, so skinny, talked to me, from his cell (which I am guessing is new).
"Hello, new friend..." said the red centaur. His yellow eyes glow at me.
I take a step back.
"Who are you?" I asked. I am sweating in fear.
"I had escaped my homeland 2 days ago. Unfortunately, my family reported me to Celestia and now I am back here..
I am...Lord Tirek! I shall someday return, and take all of what used to be mine." he said, chuckling.
His horrifying, raspy voice was already enough to make me experience cold sweats. However, his sick, disturbing smile creeps me out more. I do not like him at all. How dare I get put in the same prison as him, let alone next to him? What did I do to deserve this madness?

Chapter Epilogue
5 days later, Darkling was freed from Tartarus. Kelly had came to free him herself, and the couple had made it out safely as Celestia teleported them back to MTSP, Twilight and the others.
A week later, the second wedding of CT Darkling Drac and Kelly Ventalegi had occurred.
The ones in attendance included Mario the Sonic Plush, Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Spike, Fluttershy, Discord, Shenlong, "Shadow" Flynn, Eliza, Draci, Rainbow Dash, Atirik and Pinkie Pie. Applejack had came with her family Granny Smith, Big Mac and Applebloom, and Sweetie Belle & Scootaloo who both wanted to come. Shining Armor came with Princess Cadance and 5 year old Flurry Heart. Twilight's parents Nightlight and Twilight Velvet had came. Of course, Princess Luna and Princess Celestia showed up. Mario the Sonic Plush's parents Lara and Tony came, however, in disguise. His parents are waiting for the right time to reveal themselves to their son.
Eliza's grandparents, Kelly's parents John and Clara came. John was in doubts about Darkling at first (since he is a vampire monster) but after he showed just how much he cared and loved his daughter, he has approved of him. His wife Clara saw the good in her son-in law.
The only one that did not come was Kit, as he opted to do his own thing and just watch the wedding from a view while standing on top of a building.
"Grandma! Grandpa!" Draci shouts, as he notices his grandparents walking.
Draci and Eliza run up to greet their grandparents. Of course, Eliza is wearing a gothic dress and she even put black highlights in her hair for the occasion.
Clara ruffles Draci's hair.
"Wow. Eliza. Draci. You two got so big. The last time we saw you, Eliza, you were very little in Middle School and Draci, you were just barley a preschooler." said Clara, with a smile.
"It's wonderful to see our two loving grandchildren for this occasion." said John, with a smile.
Kelly looks at her parents, in her white dress.
"How do I look?" she asked.
"Kelly…you look beautiful." said Clara.
"Yeah, what are you waiting for? Go up and re-marry the man that brought us our loving grandkids." said John.
Kelly nods with a smile.
John walks his daughter Kelly up to the isle. Darkling blushes like mad.
"Kelly…you look stunning." Darkling said.
Kelly smiles.
"Thank you." she said.
Princess Celestia smiles and speaks.
"Today, we are here to honor the union between Count Darkling Drac and Kelly Ventalegi."
"Kelly, do you take this wonderful vampire monster man to be your husband?" Celestia asked.
"I do." said Kelly.
"And Darkling. Do you take this wonderful woman to be your wife?" asked Celestia.
"Of course I do." said Darkling.
"Now, you may kiss the b-" said Celestia, as she gets cut off.
Darkling and Kelly are already kissing.
Everyone claps.
Afterwards, Eliza begins to crank up some cool, edgy Nu-Metal music.
Kelly cuts the wedding cake and the guests get a slice each.
Mario the Sonic Plush looks at the Cutie Mark Crusaders (Sweetie Belle, Applebloom and Scootaloo).
"Hello." said Mario.
"Well, sorry, but we don't talk to strangers." said Scootaloo.
"No, no. It's okay, kids. I am not going to hurt you. I swear. Let me introduce myself. I am Mario the Sonic Plush, the long lost destined Prince of Equestria, and also Twilight Sparkle & Rarity's boyfriend. Yeah, they share me" said MTSP, introducing himself.
The three fillies freak out in excitement.
"The Prince of Equestria?! Cool!" said Applebloom, excited to meet the legend himself.
"Yeah. I didn't even know there was a Prince of Equestria. I thought that was just a myth. I am just excited to see that he's real." said Sweetie Belle.
MTSP chuckles.
"Yeah. You are looking at him right now." he said.
Meanwhile, Kit looks at the wedding from on top of the building.
He crosses his arms and smirks.
"Hmph. Looks like they are having fun. I shall have another match with Mario soon" said Kit.
