Amalia & Armand returned to the palace to have a guard tell them that their father had wished to speak to them. They soon made their way to the throne room and entered to see their father on the throne, two Cra's bowing to him.
"Amalia, Armand it's good to see you." The Sadida king greeted.
"It's good to see you as well, father." Amalia said.
"Is something the matter father, you rarely ever call us to the throne to speak to us unless it is of royal importance's." Armand said.
"You would be correct." The Sadida king said. "It seems some of the other rulers have been attacked recently. It only makes sense that they try attacking us next."
"Then what would you like for us to do?" Armand asked.
"I have decided that your protection takes more priority than my own." The Sadida king said. "Thus, Amalia I will be increasing the guards around for the time being."
"Father that will not be necessary, I'm sure the other rulers might be blowing this out of proposition." Amalia explained. "The guards I have are fine at the moment, and they've done a fine job so far."
"Really because last time I checked they somehow lost you in a crowd when you snuck out to see a store opening." The Sadida king responded. "Plus, they seem to be unable to keep you in their sights when you lose them."
Amalia had to admit that over the past couple of times of her sneaking out her guard were unable to keep a good distance away while still being able to protect her. "Can't you at least make it so they don't all stick close to me. I like having space or maybe have them wear disguises as well when I go out to see the town, I promise I won't try to lose them so much if they do that."
"I am sorry my wall flower, but my decision is final." the Sadida king ordered. "I will have them watch over you until this crimanil is caught.
Amalia stormed out of the throne room hating how overprotective her family is, she was more than capable to protect herself just fine. When Amalia got to her room she looked out from her balcony to see a Cra not that far away watching her. "Great another one already." Amalia looked down towards where the food cart was and saw a line. "They're so lucky to be able to do what they want without everyone else blowing their words out of proportion. That food was so good to boot, it makes me want some more."
Amalia looked around and didn't see anyone then checked outside her door to see that no one was coming. "I'm sure no one would mind." Amalia then used a vine to climb down from her balcony to the ground and made sure the guard that usually follows her was still there. "As long as he keeps me in sight, I should be fine.'' The Princess then threw her cloak on and walked into the town as she walked. She took care to make sure the guard could find her but the other citizen didn't notice her. As she got closer to the cart, she smelled the food, and it made her want it that much more. Once she was close to the line, she was about to join the line when someone stopped her.
"Sorry ma'am but you shouldn't eat here." a voice said.
Amalia turned to see her guard, she then looked down at her arm that he had a hold off.
"Sorry about the rough treatment." the Cra said Immediately letting go of Amalia. "But you have no idea about the food. It could be poisoned so easily."
Amalia quickly covered the Cra's mouth then brought him away from everyone else then growled, "One we do not need to accuse hard working people of crimes, Two I had their food earlier and my brother was with me so it will be fine, and three if you are that worried, please join me in line." Amalia was about to walk back to line up for the food, but was stopped once again by the Cra.
"Please Princess if you really want this cart's food at least take the cloak off so that they know harming you would be a mistake." The Cra pleaded.
"No!" Amalia answered loudly. "I will not disrupt a business like that just because people like you and my family are worried about me. I'm not that fragel."
As Amalia was walking away from the Cra, thoughts raced through his head about how this was not a good idea. But then a new idea came to mind, and it would make the princess hate him but he's duty was to protect her not have her like him. The Cra guard followed the Princess to the line, and they waited for their turn to come but halfway through the Cra thought one thing, "I'm sorry Princess but your safety takes priority over all others.". The Cra took hold of the cloak and removed it, realizing the Princess to the rest of the citizens. As the people saw her, they moved out of the way so that she could go ahead of them.
"I'm going to kill this Cra," Amalia thought to herself, turning around to walk away and lock herself in her room for the remainder of the day, but was stopped by a tug on her shirt. "THAT'S IT I'M GOING TO KILL HIM!" Amalia immediately stopped when she saw it was a girl that seemed to be the same age as her and looked like she might be a relative of the boy working at the food cart.
"Here you go." the girl said, holding out a bowl of food that looked like the same food she had eaten before when she came to the cart with Armand earlier. "My brother thought you might come back for more, so here you go. You should eat it before it gets cold. And maybe next time leave the guard dog at home, cause from the looks of it, you were waiting in line like a normal person."
"Thank you." Amalia said, taking the bowl of food. "What do I owe you for the food, plus how do you want me to repay you for disrupting your business."
"For One thing your guard did that, not you, so he can pay for that by buying the food that was ordered by someone that ran away the moment he heard the Princess was here." the girl explained. "As for the food you're eating, that's on the house for allowing us to continue to work here."
"Are you sure, I don't want to force you." Amalia said, attempting to return the food.
"You're fine, it's not every day a princess comes to get a second helping of food from us, and you tried to do it like a normal person." the girl explained. "Hey guard, are you going to pay for the food or not?" pointing to the food that was near the cart.
The Guard looked at the princess, but she continued to eat the food that was given to her. The guard then took out the money and gave it to the girl for the food that was going to waste. Once the Amalia was done, she returned the bowl to the girl and returned to the castle and left for her room.
"You know that was not how I wanted my day to go." Amalia said to the guard as she opened the door to her room.
"Princess you are royalty of the Sadida kingdom." The guard started.
"Yes, and I am quite capable of making my own choices," Amalia intrupted. "You should be grateful that the girl stopped me from just leaving the town, for I had no intention of leaving my room had I returned." Amalia then slammed the door in the guard's face before he could say anything else.
