This was not the plan.
This was not what was supposed to happen.
Monokuma should have announced the goal of everyone being gathered; and that was to investigate the suicide of Masayoshi Suou, the mystery surrounding his death, and how Hope's Peak Academy swept it under the rug.
But, for some strange reason, Monokuma malfunctioned and announced a Killing Game.
I stare at myself in the mirror in my room.
What the fuck happened? What the fuck went wrong? That stupid fucking bear should have been controlled by an AI that was under my control.
But then…
...
I shouldn't give up so quickly. I'm still the one who set everything up, I should still be in some control even though someone or something has meddled with my plans.
I steel myself before I exit my room - I still have to appear to be someone else after all.
I wait until nighttime to make my move. Some areas might be out of bounds but the bathrooms are definitely not one of them.
When I exit my door I glance at the room right next to mine...FUCKING SHIT!
…
…
…
"Upupupupupu, Looks like everyone has voted!" Monokuma laughs.
Tatsumi Endo - 7
Jotaro Ienaga - 5
Katashi Hitsugaya - 3
Hakuma Kaneshiro - 3
Mikasa Nishikawa - 1
"Oh well look at that, everyone has set the Ultimate Paparazzi to die! Isn't that cute, you must feel so popular!" Monokuma taunts.
I look beside me, the guy I consider to be my partner - the guy I wanted to be my partner, looks solemn.
No...NO! This - This can't be - this isn't what was supposed to happen!
I grab Tatsumi by his shoulders and pull him behind me. "NO! I WON'T LET YOU! Why are you being like this!?" I scream at the traitorous bear.
"YEAH!" Ryoji screams in agreement, running over to Tatsumi and I. "WE WON'T LET YOU HURT TATSUMI!" he shouts, shielding Tatsumi with me.
I look over at everyone else. They're just staring... I understand they're probably scared of Tatsumi's knowledge, he did basically reveal that he knows almost everything about everyone - even secrets like Katashi's, something almost nobody else knows.
But…but…but still!
"Awwww, look at that. You two are so cute, but you won't be able to stop this." Monokuma says and sighs. "If only you guys stopped complaining after the first time, then Mr. Paparazzi would have lived through the day…" he says and his expression grows angry. "You all should feel guilty about being the ones who FUCKED HIM. This is YOUR fault!" Monokuma says. "But, I'm still feeling generous. You have a few moments to say your goodbyes, kid, make it count." he says to Tatsumi.
I freeze when I feel tears falling from my eyes.
What the…? I haven't cried since...since Masayoshi died...then why am I crying over someone I just met? Was it because he reminded me so much of Masayoshi…?
Did I perhaps feel like I could finally move on…?
…
…
…
…I'm...so confused.
Tatsumi turns to me with a sad but determined smile. He opens his mouth to speak-
"Y-Yeah! I'm with Sachi and Ryoji!"
Tatsumi's and my eyes widen.
"I'm with them too! Sumire and I didn't vote for Tatsumi, we won't let you take him!"
Tatsumi, Ryoji, and I turn to see the frightened but determined Kotobuki twins standing in front of the previously silent group.
A much less frightened Hakuma yawns as he steps forward too, pointedly standing in front of the twins. "What the hey, I'm in too. I'll admit, I voted for the guy but it was just a random pick." he says easily. "Let's see…you're a bomb, right? I've never dealt with one of those before…this'll be fun." Hakuma says and cracks his knuckles.
Kite frowns, "How is he doing that while wearing gauntlets like that…?" he wonders.
"Hahaha! It's simple, Hakuma is strong - well, not as strong as me of course!" Jotaro laughs and moves to stand beside Hakuma. "Very well, if you are defending Tatsumi, then we shall do it together!" he proclaims.
And just like that, each of our fellow captives starts to speak up in Tatsumi's defense - certain ones looking more guilty than others.
"It is as my minions and these other peasants said! My Ultimate Investigator shall not be taken from me! Minions, stand beside the Ultimate Plague Doctor and the Ultimate Messenger-!"
"Takagi, Ryoji's title doesn't mean he actually runs himself…"
"Tatsumi is a dear friend and a dear classmate…the stars speak of ill fortune for you if you take him away."
Monokuma watches angrily as our classmates scream and speak up in Tatsumi's defense. "Grrrr…you guys are SO lucky I can't punish all of you!" he says angrily. "Fine! Just this once, you have earned the mercy of your beloved Headmaster, but I hope you know just how serious this is now! We will play this game whether you like it or not!" Monokuma screams and points at Tatsumi. "You have a new lease on life, Tatsumi, don't waste it." he says ominously, his red eye flashing.
I can't believe I almost lost Tatsumi.
In one fell swoop, my ace was almost gone. He was taken here to be the lead investigator because he's generally always been right when it comes to a lot of things. I took Tatsumi here to make sure that the truth would be found and spread but that fucking bear almost ruined it all.
I have to fix this.
I look at the small chibi of him on his room plate. I can't help but feel sadness, I didn't want him to be hurt.
I didn't want to hurt anyone I brought here.
But, they were the people who were present on school grounds when Masayoshi's life was taken. One of these students is responsible…maybe more than one of them are.
…
…
…
Come on, you're Sachiko Yoshifumi. Keep it together. Act like the Ultimate you're supposed to be.
With Tatsumi by my side, I will find out the truth about Masayoshi's death and I will find out who fucked with my bear.
Once I pass through the dorms, I walk as quickly as I can and enter the boys bathroom and lock myself in a certain stall. I find my hidden console and type in my password.
…
…
As expected, it's been changed.
Unfortunately for whoever this new Mastermind is, I'm quite the competent person as well, even if my grand scheme was sabotaged…
Click!
I'm able to bypass the lock they put on and enter the secret office where my computer with access to everything is located.
I sit down and check over the AI that I created...and of course, just as I suspected, it seems that my AI was deleted and Monokuma was taken control of manually...but as far as I know, everyone was present in the Gymnasium when Monokuma appeared...unless there is a secret person who got in.
But that's not possible. No one can enter here without my knowledge.
Maybe I can set up a hidden camera in this room to see who enters? ...That's it! I'll be able to see who went into the bathrooms earlier with the security cameras. I checked the CCTV footage and…
…
…
This has been wiped too.
So this person is more clever than I expected, no big deal. I won't be defeated so easily. I need to think…
They didn't replace the AI I created that was controlling Monokuma which means that he was controlled manually, but, everyone was present in the Gym.
I know everyone was there - I even listened as Tatsumi mumbled to himself about every single one of my cap - I guess I should say our fellow captives now. Was he just mumbling to himself in general? Was someone not in the Gym?
The twins? No, I saw both of them. Monokuma even compared them together and they were the first two to stand beside Ryoji and I in defense of Tatsumi.
I sigh.
With everything that happened today, I can't really make a conclusion just yet. I need a good night's rest to think more clearly so I can get more definitive information. But every moment I spend not looking for those people who hijacked my game is another second they're using to take over even more aspects of my game. Leave them alone long enough and we'll actually be trapped here…
But, regardless, I still can't really do anything.
Ugh, this is so annoying.
All I can really do right now is increase the security of the room and hope that the hacker can't bypass the new lock I create.
Hmm...who do I think has the capacity to bypass that lock? It was no simple lock by any means. Since I know I'm taking Ultimate students into this place...who could possibly bypass my lock?
Katashi is a shady guy and from what I found out from Tatsumi, he has a really dark secret.
Mikasa is the only one I can think of that would have enough knowledge in programming to bypass my security (that's why I even voted for her), she's my best suspect for now. But then again, as I deduced, Monokuma was taken over manually and that doesn't support my Mikasa theory very well..
Without any solid proof, I really have nothing to go by.
I can't lose. Not now. Especially when I haven't even begun.
I make it back to my room without encountering anyone else.
I feel like this whole night was wasted, but what can I do?
…
Everything was going as planned until it wasn't.
I just hope that I can take back control of this game before anyone actually kills someone. I can't let these people die - they were present on school grounds when Masayoshi died. I need to find out the truth of why he was killed.
I will never believe that my Master would ever take his life. Especially when he had so much to live for.
Master, if you are out there listening to me, I will get you justice. I will expose the truth. I won't let Hope's Peak get away with what they did.
And even though I've only known you for a short time, Tatsumi, I feel a close bond to you. This school already took Master Masayoshi away from me, I won't let them take you again. I'll be damned if you ever come that close to death again.
I will find the Mastermind of this new game and I will make them pay.
According to the clock mounted on the wall, it's almost 7:00 AM. Morning already.
If my hypothesis is correct, then the person who hijacked my Monokuma yesterday was manually controlling him then. The morning announcement shouldn't happen.
So I wait.
Patiently.
...
…
…
...
Time goes by slowly, almost as if it was teasing me on the possibility that I might be wrong.
The clock turns to 7:00 AM and…
…
Just like I suspected.
Nothing.
I walk out of my dorm room and head towards the bathrooms, trying to see if someone is in there trying to get inside the control room. But, there was no one.
I guess they won't try so close to the morning where people can be awake.
As I head back to the dorms, I notice a person in the area before the dorms and cafeteria.
It's Jotaro, he's wearing his sleepwear which is just a pair of black shorts.
I guess he would be one of the first people to wake up - he was probably working out in his room.
"Jotaro, you are awake quite early, I see." I greet him.
"Yes, I usually wake up at 4:00 am to start my routine. When I realized that it was 7:00 AM and I thought that the morning time would be announced so I could start running around the halls, but nothing happened." Jotaro explains.
That was surprisingly intelligent of him...from what I know of him, he should be as dumb as a rock...Tatsumi and I might have underestimated him in that regard.
Before our conversation can continue, I hear the steps of three more people coming our way.
It's Shion, Sumire, Tatsumi, and Ryoji - all also still in their sleepwear. Sumire is wearing white shorts and a black shirt with something on it: it looks like some kind of event's details, but I'm not someone who would recognize it like Tatsumi. Shion is wearing a white shirt and black shorts and Tatsumi is wearing a dark green shirt and black pajama pants. Ryoji sleeps in a basic pair of white boxer briefs and a white t-shirt...also with a coffee stain.
I assume it's because of the water being turned off by the hijacker and...me forgetting to turn it on...
Oops.
"So you guys are awake too." Sumire greets us with a smile.
"Not everyone needs glasses to see that, Sumire." Shion says with a rather passive aggressive smile.
As soon as she says it, Sumire's smile turns passive aggressive too. "I was only greeting them, Shion. It's the polite thing to do." she says.
Shion slings her arm around Sumire's neck. "Oh, sister, you're so funny." she says with that same smile.
Sumire slings her arm around Shion's neck. "Oh, sister, you're too kind." she says with that same smile.
"Are you sure you want to do that with that arm, sister? It would be such a shame if you hurt yourself."
"My my, you're so kind to worry about me, sister."
Tatsumi and Ryoji leave the twins to that…interesting conversation and turn to me.
"Good morning, Sachi, Jotaro." Tatsumi says with a tired smile.
Ryoji nods, yawning. "Anyone know what's happening? It should be morning time now and the restricted areas should be open for us to use." he says. "Gotta brush my teeth…" Ryoji says and yawns again.
As we discuss, more and more people show up. Takagi, Kikuo, and Kite arrive as a group.
Katashi arrives alone, quiet as usual, but with an annoyed expression on his face. He's wearing a pink, red trimmed sleeping hoodie with matching pants.
Yuuji and Rui arrive at the same time, both sporting black pajamas.
Min arrives with Mitsuki and Mikasa. Min is wearing lingerie type underwear but over an oversized t-shirt - a sharp contrast to Kaguya and Mikasa both wearing your standard everyday pajamas.
Aria and Kaguya arrive together, the former looking surprisingly more disheveled than Kaguya.
And last but not least, Hakuma arrives alone as well, that damn helmet still on his head.
Everyone was wondering if nighttime was over.
"I don't think nighttime is over because the water is still turned off." Aria says with a frown.
"What if this is the first motive? Depriving us of our needs would surely make us want to kill each other." Mikasa guesses.
Aria waves her off, "No, that's already happening somewhere else." she says.
"Is the cafeteria a restricted area?" Kite wonders.
"It shouldn't be, but are you willing to try and enter it?" Takagi answers.
"If I remember in the first Killing Game, when Sayaka tried to kill Leon, she was able to get a knife from the kitchen." Rui recalls. "So it should be open, right?"
"No, I think she got that before nighttime was announced." Yuuji disagrees.
"There will be nothing gained if we all just stand here talking to each other like a bunch of idiots." Katashi says, cutting off the group discussion. "I haven't taken a bath and I'm starving, so if no one is gonna do anything I'm just gonna leave you idiots here." Katashi snaps and walks off.
Heading where? I don't know if I can find a rat to eat who cares.
Thinking about it, I guess I could have turned on the water while I was in the control room…
Oops again.
I guess I can do that tonight. I don't wanna risk doing it right now because someone might discover me, and there's the obvious fact that I can't enter the boys bathroom without looking suspicious.
"Then what's gonna happen? Are we just gonna stink? This is a nightmare!" Min squeals in disgust.
"We could just just force someone to enter the cafeteria, it's the best idea we have. We can even go by voting and if the votes stay the same then Jotaro should go." Takagi suggests to the group.
He makes a good point. I know for sure that nothing is gonna happen. I didn't make any executions…
…
I didn't…
"What about you, Sachi? You've been awfully quiet for a while now." I snap out of my thoughts at the sound of my name being called. Tatsumi.
"Hm," I think. "If there was no morning announcement, there's a possibility that Monokuma was shut down?" I suggest unsurely. "I mean, they wouldn't let us just break a rule without Monokuma, right?" I try to give the group some sort of idea that the killing game is halted.
Well, at least I hope I was able to stop it indefinitely. Maybe I should put an alarm on that lock too.
"Well, Jotaro? Are you willing to go first?" Mikasa asks the Strongman.
"UGH! I can't take any more of this." Shion starts angrily and reaches for an unsuspecting Sumire.
However, before she can grab her sister, the Ultimate Vigilante grabs Shion's arm first and wags his finger at her. "Tsk, tsk, tsk." Hakuma says and despite his face being hidden by that god awful helmet, by the sound of his voice, I can tell that he's back into his Masked Devil persona - he's probably been in it since he joined the rest of us here. "Is that a wise decision, doing that in front of someone who's known for exacting revenge on the behalf of others?" Hakuma asks coldly, the threat very clear.
Shion pales and the entire group goes silent.
…
…
…
And then, Hakuma lets her go and the switch in his tone of voice is clear to anyone with working ears: The Masked Devil is back to being Hakuma. "I'll go." Hakuma says in an oddly cheerful voice and walks into the Cafeteria.
Everyone waits and stares at Hakuma wearily to see if Monokuma is going to suddenly appear.
Hakuma starts counting out loud and once he gets to sixty, he walks even further into the Cafeteria, beckoning the rest of us to join him.
After waiting thirty more seconds and seeing that nothing happened to Hakuma, everyone, obviously hungry, goes inside as well to eat breakfast. It's rather quiet, everyone talking silently with each other.
After Takagi had ordered Kikuo to cook for him, he was kind enough to do so for Shion, Kite, Sumire, and everybody else as well after they piled onto him.
"So, what do you guys think happened? Why was there no morning announcement? Why has Monokuma just not appeared?" Rui wonders.
"Maybe the game is canceled." Jotaro answers with a shrug.
"Do you guys remember when Monokuma had that glitch thing?" Ryoji asks. "When he was telling us about that 'finding the truth about something' thing then he just...bzzzt zap whirrr boo." Ryoji speaks up and makes some sort of noises like a robot breaking down.
Mikasa hums. "Now that you bring it up," she says. "it was a rather weird thing to happen, and then he just ignored everyone...then..." Mikasa stops and a dark look crosses her face. "Then he made us vote."
A sudden silence goes around the group
"It would have been very unfortunate to lose Tatsumi so early." Takagi says with a frown, glaring at those he suspects of having voted for him. "I knew he would have been a powerful ally to have, but I guess most of you decided to try and end a possible threat instead" he says provokingly.
I know for sure Takagi is trying to keep Tatsumi in his pocket. Takagi is one of the most dangerous people in here, not only because he has Kikuo - who is basically attached to him - but because he's very unpredictable.
Well, according to Tatsumi anyway.
"G-Guys, it's fine-" Tatsumi tries but surprisingly, Kaguya speaks over him.
"N-No one wanted to vote, no one wanted to kill him," Kaguya says, almost defensively. "But if we didn't vote for someone, Monokuma would have…h-he would have killed us!"
Tatsumi tries again, "Guys-"
"You probably voted for him didn't you?" Takagi challenges her, interrupting Tatsumi. "Are you that insecure about his intel? We could have lost our best asset at getting out of here, you know that, right?" he snaps. "Most of you probably saw him as a huge problem for when you commit murder."
Tatsumi sighs, giving up.
Takagi makes a good point. Tatsumi is going to be the best detective in this situation. He works with information on a daily basis so he can solve things pretty easily. Getting rid of him as quickly as possible...that's probably what went through all of his voter's heads.
Kaguya slams her hands on the table, anxious and distraught as Mitsuki comes to comfort her. "Th-That's not what I-!"
"Hey, stop that! I also voted for Tatsumi, most of us did. Why are you even saying this? He's not dead so we didn't do anything wrong!" Mitsuki yells, glaring at Takagi.
Takagi looks at her as if she were the dirt under his shoe. "Whatever do you mean, discount me?" he sneers.
For whatever reason, this seems to trigger Mitsuki, who runs up to swing at Takagi but Jotaro quickly and easily stops her.
"No fighting." Jotaro states simply.
Hakuma hums, drumming on the empty space in front of him (he can't exactly eat with the helmet on and he seems to want to keep his face a secret from us). "Didn't you hear what I told the blue twin?" he asks.
Shion ignores Hakuma's comment and sticks her tongue out. "Boo, it was just getting exciting." she says and refocuses her attention on her breakfast, grumbling whenever Sumire slaps her hand away from stealing off her plate.
After that, the rest of breakfast was rather uneventful.
After breakfast, everyone goes around to look for an exit or just to find a way to take a bath, Tatsumi and his heart of gold and fanboying leading the first group.
I decide to go back to my room since I know there won't be an exit. I just need to find the right time to get back inside the control room, replace the AI that the hijacker deleted, and we should be able to get back to the original plan.
As I'm heading to my room, I encounter Kaguya and Mitsuki together. Mitsuki is talking while Kaguya is crying. The former notices me and beckons me to come over.
"What's wrong?" I ask as I approach. "Don't tell me that Takagi affected you that much." I say, raising an eyebrow. "The guy calls himself the Ultimate Villain, he's provoking you on purpose."
"Obviously not," Mitsuki sniffs. "As if I could be affected by whatever that little troll says, he means nothing to me." she says. "I'm concerned about Kaguya, she's feeling very guilty about what Takagi said. We both voted for Tatsumi but that's because Min said he would be the best person to get rid of." Mistuki reveals. "We didn't want to make a decision for ourselves, so...we just decided to go along with what she wanted."
I feel a bit bad for her. She needed to cast a vote or else she would be voting for herself. From what Tatsumi told me after we all left the Gymnasium, he even ended up voting for himself in the end too.
But it's like what I always tell myself: the past is in the past and we have to let go of it.
…
...
But that would be hypocritical of me. Because I will never let go of-
"Mitsuki, can you go for a while? I just want to be alone." Kaguya whispers to us.
"A-Alone? What about Sachiko?" Mistuki asks, confused.
"I'll...I just want...please..." Kaguya begs Mitsuki, distraught.
Mitsuki looks between us with a confused frown but leaves us alone.
"Sachiko…" Kaguya turns to me. "I just want to apologize for what almost happened to Tatsumi." she says genuinely. "I-I don't know what's wrong, but I'm so confused...everything has been going so fast and I...I just...I didn't..." Kaguya bursts into tears, sobbing.
Uggghhhh. I don't want to deal with emotional people right now.
I guess with both Kaguya and I being Third Years, she feels a little more comfortable around me than Mitsuki. I don't really care, though.
I want to get up and leave, but I know I'll get an earful from Tatsumi later if he finds out so I stay.
I sigh and put an awkward hand on Kaguya's shoulder. "Calm down Kaguya, let's not talk about this Killing Game. Shall we talk about something else?" I suggest and Tatsumi comes to mind again. "Tell me something about you, your talent as the Ultimate Weather Broadcaster." I say. I don't actually know how to socialize with other people that much but this method always seemed to work for Tatsumi.
For some reason, that doesn't seem to console Kaguya at all.
In fact, she seems to clam up even more.
"Well…" Kaguya sniffs. "It's...it's nothing too interesting." she says vaguely. "I do…broadcasting stuff."
I raise an eyebrow. "Broadcasting…stuff?" she asks, raising an eyebrow.
Kaguya squeaks and wipes the remaining tears from her eyes. "Th-That's-" she stutters and shakes her head. "I just - I just wanted to apologize for almost…you know." Kaguya stammers and stands up. She bows several times, stammering out more apologies before scurrying off to God knows where.
If I were a dumber person, I would just attribute…whatever that was to her being shy and anxious.
But, I am not.
What is she hiding?
Lunch eventually comes by and after the multiple incidents during breakfast, everyone silently agreed to not eat lunch (and probably any future meals) as a group. I guess we'll see what happens.
However, I encounter a lone Sumire in the cafeteria when I enter.
Looks like I'm not eating alone.
Sumire notices me before I can greet her first and she smiles at me kindly, "Hey Sachi, are you just about to eat?"
"Yeah."
"I had some leftover pasta if you want, I made it for me and Shion but I guess she didn't like my cooking..." Sumire says, dejected.
"Alright then..." I sit down and Sumire goes inside the kitchen to grab me a plate.
I'm actually quite surprised a lot of people have been cooking in there. And without water, how are they able to clean the pots and pans?
When Sumire returns, I ask her just that: "How did you cook this? Isn't the water still turned off?" I ask as she places down a plate of pasta in front of me.
"Oh…" Sumire blinks. "Yeah, I took some water bottles from the fridge. Also there's just a huge amount of pots and pans in the sink…" she trails off and sighs. "I'm really confused about what's happening. Monokuma has made no appearance since yesterday." Sumire says and goes back to eating.
I look down at the pasta in front of me. Why did I accept this? This could be poisoned...
But I am knowledgeable enough to smell that nothing smells wrong with it and Sumire is even eating it in front of me. There isn't even a reason to commit murder yet since Monokuma hasn't showed up. Without any motive for the nice Kotobuki to actually kill me, I decide to dig in.
…
…
...
It's surprisingly delicious.
Shion has no taste.
We eat in silence for a few moments but after a while I get curious and decide to finally ask:
"Why do you let your sister talk to you like that?"
Sumire tenses for a second and puts on a forced smile. "Oh you don't have to worry about me like that." she says. "That's just how we are, you know, sisters quarrel - especially twins. We have some fights but we're still sisters you know." she says rather defensively.
Translation: drop it.
But, unfortunately for Sumire, Tatsumi's annoying persistence rubbed off on me. "Now that I think about it, you both talk to each other like…not…sisters, but Shion still gets an attitude when someone tries to get close to you, like Ryoji." I press, my phrasing getting continuously more awkward with Sumire's intense stare.
"Well, the second thing is just Shion being Shion," Sumire says and her smile drops. She shakes her head, "Let's just not talk about it, ok?" Sumire says, ending the Shion conversation there.
Fine. I'll drop it for now.
I bet Tatsumi will get an answer out of one of the twins sooner or later.
"So, I remember Tatsumi saying that you also used to do ice skating with Shion, right?" I ask.
Sumire nods. "Yeah, I did. Our parents are famous ice skaters so it was only natural that they wanted us to follow in their footsteps." she explains.
"But you decided that it wasn't that much fun?"
Sumire's face falls. "Yeah, I guess you can say that." she says. "MeTube just clicked, y'know? It's so much fun." Sumire says with a genuine smile that doesn't last very long. "And I guess I found that it was just more fun doing my own thing than...competing with my sister." she whispers that last part but I still pick up what she said.
After that, we continue to eat and talk about random things. When we're done, we dump our plates in the sink, unable to wash them.
(I swear I'm going to turn it on tonight when everyone's asleep.)
And with that, we go our separate ways.
By the time night comes, there is still no movement from the hijackers. All I can think is that they are probably coming up with a new plan. There aren't any alerts from the Control Room lock so all I can guess is that they didn't try to open it again.
I guess I just need to wait for everyone to go to sleep before I go inside the Control Room to open up the water supply...
Once I'm sure everyone is either asleep or in their rooms, I head to the Control Room. While I'm walking there, I hear some banging stuff inside the Cafeteria. I go to check it out but there's no one there…
Weird.
I continue to head for the control room.
Hopefully I can reset things back to the original plan.
…I wonder how Tatsumi's doing. I didn't really speak with him at all today, I'll check in on him tomorrow.
A/N that was the last of ahn's chapters, it's all me from here on which means you have to learn patience because we are writing from scratch now :catch:
if you read the original version, surprise, tatsumi didn't die and we'll be going back to his pov after this chapter
And yes, if it wasn't clear by the review on the special chapter, the JoJo joke about Jotaro was in fact just that, a joke. I apologize for the misunderstanding.
