At the hospital
When Buffy woke up she could hear the most annoying beeping sound and suddenly a gasp "She's awake nurse get the doctor she is awake." She could hear Joyce shouting loudly. "Your okay! Buffy I was so worried!" Before Buffy could ask what happened The doctor walked in. " Hi Buffy I'm Dr. Meyer. Do you have any idea why you're here?" Buffy thought hard the last thing se could remember was Riley asking her on a date. "Im sorry but i don't. I remember being back at the dorm talking to Riley and the next thing i was here.. Am i okay to just go home im fine really." Buffy was starting to panic and not because she thought something was wrong with her but because of her extreme fear of hospitals. " Well i think you will make it home sometime today but we would like to get a few more fluids in you and talk about the results of some of your lab work. You came in extremely dehydrated." Joyce decided to step in "She's been getting sick off an on lately and cant seem to fight off what ever bug she's gotten." the doctor made looked over at Buffy " Buffy are you okay with. your mom being in the room while we go over your labs? You are no longer a minor so i cant go over any of this in front of her without your consent." Buffy knowing her mom would kill her if he asked her to leave let the doctor know it was okay to go over all labs with her with Joyce present. "All right well Buffy your iron is very low so im going to send in a prescription to the pharmacy to get you on iron pills they should boost your levels up and second Buffy," He took a deep breath "Did you know you are roughly 10 weeks pregnant?" Buffys entire body froze. her first thought was that it was impossible the last person she had been with was Angel and he was a vampire but 10 weeks ago he had been human. Her heart started racing and the peeping on the monitor grew louder. "Buffy are you okay?" Dr. Myer asked "I'm just in a little bit of shock right now i guess. " the doctor took a deep breath. "Buffy you do have the option to terminate the pregnancy if you are not ready to parent a child. Looking at your file i see you are in college." Buffy's head snapped up "I'm not sure what i want to do can i please have time to think." And that's when Joyce who had been so quite spoke up "Buffy you know what you want to do you need to get rid of this baby! Its going to ruin your life. You don't need this right now." Buffy still trying to comprehend the fact that she was pregnant with Angels baby not some random college guy but Angels. She did not want to tell her mom that it was Angels baby she felt like this was a choice that they needed to make together. "Mom i want to talk to the babies father before I just go and make a choice like this. He needs to know and he gets to have a say." Buffy said standing her ground. "How the hell do you expect to finish collage when you are tied down to not only a baby but your other calling Buffy! This baby will bring you down and God knows if the father will stick around to help with the burden of this baby!" Buffy had tears starting to form in her eyes she licked he bottom lip and pressed her lips together tight deep in thought and her hands went protectively around her belly. "I'm not making that choice without the father of my child."
A few hours later
Buffy and Joyce had yet to speak with one another after the big fight in the hospital. When they pulled into the driveway Buffy hurried out and into the house and shut herself in her room. All she could do was pull her knees to her chest and quietly cry to herself. How was she supposed to break this news to Angel? Would he even believe her that the baby inside her was in fact his child? Every negative thought that could creep into her mind did. How would Buffy and the baby fit into Angels life? Would he be willing to move to Sunnydale? Would she move to LA? How could they possibly make it work? After awhile buffy took a deep breath and picked up they phone as always her first instinct was to go to Angel and that's exactly what she was about to do.
