NAME: SLADE WILSON | DEATHSTROKE
This character was much more in line with his DCU version. The general personality of the Arrowverse version from the island was very much in line with the DCU version. The Mirakuru version was NOT. Not to mention they made him an Aussie and his kids evil. Joe became a Teen Titan for heaven's sake. Grant was killed off by HIVE. Adeline hated Rose, but Rose was the most like Slade. This was a VERY COMPLEX CHARACTER that the Arrowverse just destroyed. I felt obligated to fix the Terminator. Here is my take for a fusion.
ORIGIN:
After a nearly fatal Special Forces mission, Slade was tasked to Team 7 where he met Dr. David Isherwood. Isherwood discovered that Slade had an activated metagene (healing). The other members of Team 7 also had active metagenes. Isherwood conducted minor experiments to enhance that metagene and strengthen it. This also gave the team members enhanced senses, flexibility, reflexes, and strength.
At the termination of Team 7, Slade volunteered for the ACTH serum program. This was a US-sponsored program. In theory, this serum would create a super soldier. Instead, most of the volunteers of the program died. Slade was an exception; he fell into a coma. The program was terminated and Slade medically retired. Slade experienced repeated blackouts after the experiments. This was after he finally woke up from his coma.
Slade eventually recovered from his coma and his blackouts. Even retired, he needed to feel active. He found that he had an even greater healing ability, enhanced strength, flexibility, agility, durability, reflexes, stamina, senses, and increased intelligence. He decided to start working as a mercenary. This started his arguments with Adeline. On one of his first missions, he rescued several women from Vietnam. A short affair with the woman left her with a child. Rose.
As Slade's reputation as a mercenary grew, he was able to take better contracts. He adopted the name Deathstroke. He commanded high prices due to the success of his high-risk missions.
FAMILY:
Slade had a very strong protective feeling for everyone he considers family. He felt a driving need to secure his family from harm. This feeling was enhanced when his son Joe became at target for retaliation against Slade.
RELATIONSHIP-SPOUSE:
Adeline Kane Wilson (spouse): Slade Wilson married Adeline Kane while still in the US Army Special Forces. His first son, Grant, was born while he was still in Special Forces. Joseph was born after Isherwood had started his experiments. Joseph inherited his father's enhanced genetics.
Lilian Worth (affair): Slade had a brief liaison with Lillian Worth while extracting her with a group of villages from Vietnam. Lillian never let him know of the child until Rose was much older.
RELATIONSHIP-CHILDREN:
Grant Wilson (blood): Grant was the first-born son to Slade and Adeline Wilson. He was born with no genetic enhancements. No metagene. When Slade refused to work for HIVE, HIVE recruited Grant and gave him a fatal serum to allow him to be as strong as his hero, Deathstroke. He did not know that Deathstroke was his father. He died after he had complete his HIVE mission from the serum. Slade swore vengeance on HIVE.
Joseph Wilson (blood): Joseph was abducted by a disgruntled recipient of Deathstroke. They were able to determine Deathstroke's civilian identity. Slade arrived to late to prevent injury to Joe, but he was able to save his life from a slit throat. Joe was mute after this incident. Adeline blamed Slade and tried to kill him by shooting him in the eye. Slade was able to recover due to his healing enhancements. But his eye, even grown back, would never see again. They divorced shortly after. This injury led Bill Wintergreen to speculate that Slade could not die. Slade always felt regret over what had happened to Joe. He encouraged Joe to join the Teen Titans to surround himself with heroes. Joe inherited all of Slade's metagene enhancements from Isherwood, including healing. However, when his metagene finally activated, he could interact with technology to give him a voice.
Rose Worth Wilson (blood): Rose Wilson was born from an affair with her Vietnamese mother and Slade. She inherited all of his advanced genetics and ACTH enhancements. She was also the most like Slade in personality. She wanted to make her father proud. Slade already was proud. But he did his best to encourage her abilities. Ravager was born.
MOTIVATION:
For this story, Slade had worked in the mercenary community for several years. As he grew in reputation, he was able to command higher prices. He always took the contracts with the highest risk, especially after Joseph was injured. He also tried to limit who else would participate in his missions. He knew his limits, but he preferred to take all the risks himself. His team was support only. His mark of honor was to always complete a contract, if possible. He would never withdraw a contract once accepted. No matter the price.
He often refused a time limit on his contracts. He wanted to gather intelligence on the subject before completing the mission. He preferred contracts with complexity and risk. William 'Billy' Wintergreen is his agent. He is a former SAS agent that Slade had rescued.
Slade was independently wealthy. He did not need to take any new contracts. He picked and choses his contracts based on how challenging they will be. He preferred to minimize collateral damage. He wasn't paid to kill indiscriminately.
PERSONALITY:
Slade was very focused on his honor. He tied much of who he was into how well he could complete a job. It was honorable to choose one side and stick to that side. It was honorable to care for your children. Slade could recognize others with honor and those without.
Slade also had some anger issues. He could control his anger when he was on a mission. But it usually escalated when he was thwarted in his goals. He loved a challenge, but he hated to lose. Those who thwarted him in his goals usually bore the brunt of his wrath.
Slade could justify his actions in killing and mercenary work by rationalizing that everyone was a mercenary to some degree. That made his actions no less honorable than a businessman. It came down to talent, skill, and service. He provided a rare service. He had the talent and skill to back it up.
Slade was also able to justify a flexible morality by declaring that each society has determined what was moral and what was not. He would often pull up the Romans as an example of a civilized society with slavery that frequently fed people to wild animals for entertainment.
INTELLIGENCE: Slade was highly intelligent. He had an excellent memory. He frequently used his intelligence in his mercenary work. He would evaluate a target in great detail to determine the best course of action. This was why he refused contracts with a time limit. He wanted to collect all the intelligence first, then act.
SOCIOLOGY:
Slade was generally an antisocial person. He never trusted anyone. But he felt loyal to his chosen contract. Those seeking his contract had to use caution. If he decided that the other side was morally right, he would choose to side with your enemy. Instead of working for you, he would be working against you.
RELATIONSHIP-FRIENDS:
William 'Billy' Wintergreen: Billy was a former SAS agent that Slade was contracted to rescue. Billy declared that he was in Slade's dept and took a position as his contract manager. Billy worked the Dark Web and presented what research he had found to Slade. Slade had final determination over which contract he chose. Billy was able to convince him to take a few additional contracts that rescued, rather than killed. He felt that he was not the only captive that deserved to be rescued.

NOTES:
Slade was one of my favorite anti-heroes. His DCU version had some serious issues (like the whole Teen Titans thing), but he was often used as both a good and a bad character in various different series titles. It worked with his personality. The quick fix of the Mirakuru was a stupid idea that let a good character go to waste. For that reason I hated the whole Mirakuru arc. It was unneeded and destroyed Slade and Oliver in ways that were already available in the Arrowverse.
