It's hard to tell who has your back, from who has it long enough just to stab you in the back.

The next day…

Location: Japan, Kuoh Academy

With the final ring of the school's bell, I groaned in dread. 'Here's to hoping Yuuma forgot about me.' I thought to myself as I made my way to Kuoh's public exit. However, as I walked I noticed Akeno, beside a short white-haired girl handing out fliers.

The white-haired girl was extremely short, only around 4 feet and 6 inches. She was petite, and had a rather small frame, along with, well no other way to get around this, domino's for a chest, yet despite that, she was undeniably cute. With her short white hair, gorgeous golden eyes, and a strange, yet cute, black cat pin in her hair, there was no doubt that she was attractive.

If I was to classify her, I would put her down as a Loli, because she definitely looked the part.

Deciding to satiate my curiosity, I sensed the girl's Aura. And I flinched in surprise. Just like Akeno, this girl's Aura was different, far different to any other person. It was similar to Akeno's, but lacked the fading embers, and felt different as well. Something about her Aura was just off like the embers had been burned with something different than what Akeno's had. What's more, was that the white-haired girl's Aura was also far more intense and powerful than my older brothers, yet was weaker than Akeno's. 'Again I say, What the hell?'

Feeling something pressed against my hand, I realized with a jolt that I had walked up to Akeno and the white-haired chic, who was currently holding out a strange flier for me to take. Tilting my head, I nodded in thanks as I read the flier before walking off. 'Make your dreams come true?' As I inspected the flier, I realized that a strange rune was drawn on it, and it had come from the occult research club. 'Wait, Akeno and white-haired are both members?' I frowned in consideration. 'Occult does mean supernatural. Specifically Biblical… Add on both Akeno and the White-haired chic, the only 2 members I've met, have unique and powerful Aura's. Something's strange about them… but what?' I considered throwing the flier away, but I decided against it, instead putting it into my back pocket both physically and mentally.

Leaving my Motorcycle in the parking lot, I decided I would drive it home after I hung out with Yuuma.

Finally arriving at the Bridge, I saw Yuuma waiting for me, lightly boobing on her feet as she did. "Yo, Yuuma," I called, prompting her to spin around and face me.

For a moment, I swore that an expression of annoyance and impatience adorned her face, but the next moment it was gone, replaced with happiness and joy. "Oh! Hunter, you're here!" She said as she ran up to me and gave me a hug.

I turned stiff as a board at the hug, uncomfortable with the contact, but I didn't do anything to stop her. 'Is she a stalker?' I wondered, not for the last time. Finally, as Yuuma broke the hug she smiled saying, "I'm so happy that you actually came." I nodded like a bobblehead, "I don't break promises. So, whatcha want to do?" Yuuma tilted her own head and placed a finger on her chin in deep thought. "How about… oh I know! Since you're new here, I can show you around Kuoh!" I shrugged indifferently. It didn't really matter what we did. "Okay, and while we do that, how about we talk and get to know each other?" I asked. Yuuma nodded instantly, joy practically drowning her face. "Yes! Let's go!" she shouted, as she grabbed my forearm and dragged me away.

?

As Hunter was dragged off by the girl, I walked forward emerging from the trees. Making my way to where the Girl had hugged Hunter moments ago, I crouched down and narrowed my eyes as I saw the ashes of the flier. "How is Hunter doing?" a voice asked in my ear. Raising my right arm, I pushed a finger against the earbud inside it. "Not good. The fallen found the Flier. She destroyed it." she nearly winced at the curses that shortly followed from her president. "Stay close, but out of sight. You have a flier yourself, so if anything goes wrong, or Hunter is in mortal danger. Summon us. Okay?" Standing up, I nodded "Understood"

As I followed Yuuma around Kuoh, my thoughts wandered off to the night before.

As soon as I got home, I had told my parents and older brother about the strange encounter, hoping that they would be concerned instead of the actual result. Which was, they had teased me to no end. Adrien had asked me If I was paying her, or threatening her, and I denied those accusations. And surprisingly my mother asked if Yuuma was my right hand. Suffice to say I was so annoyed that I left the dining room, and returned to my room, as well as waking up today so early that none of my family was awake and I sneaked out to school.

Today had been the first day in my life where I was actually looking forward to school because that meant I could escape my family.

We journeyed around town for a while, with Yuuma pointing out numerous landmarks and stores that she liked. I even bought her a little wristband as a present because she thought it looked cute. True to my words, I asked her about her life at home, her family, and the like. And Yuuma answered eagerly and happily. However, I would come to regret this.

"Hunter, I don't want to be rude. But how'd you get your scar?" Yuuma asked curiously. I paused at that, gulping. "Would you believe me If I said I was kicked by a horse?" I lied playfully. But Yuuma wasn't fooled and stood in front of me, "I know you're lying. Come on Hunter, you said you'd be honest!" Yuuma pleaded. As I stared into her Violet eyes. A pang of guilt lit up in my chest, but I quickly extinguished it, the less anyone knew about the scar, the better. However as I continued to gaze into Yuuma's eyes, I saw only genuine curiosity within them, so finally I sighed in defeat. My shoulders slumped as I began to speak. "10 years ago, I was bitten by something." Yuuma frowned but I held up a hand to stop her. "I don't know what it was, my memory's a bit fuzzy of the ordeal. And my parents never saw what did bite me. However, I know this. I should've died that day, but by some miracle, I barely survived long enough for them to get me to the hospital. The doctors asked me what bit me, but I didn't know. So they decided to purge the venom from my veins. And even after it was done, I stayed in the hospital for a couple of weeks afterwards, hooked up to machines and devices to monitor me and keep me alive."

Yuuma's eyes widened as she held her hands in front of her mouth. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know. I shouldn't have asked." I chuckled at her apology, "Calm down Yuuma. I don't mind. You trusted me, so I've gotta trust you." My words made Yuuma light up like a Christmas tree, and she leaned forward to plant a brief kiss on my cheek. 'I just got kissed.' I thought in bewilderment. As Yuuma leaned back, I smiled, saying, "How about this. You get another question, free of charge." Yuuma beamed at me and gestured at me to come closer.

Yet before I did, I looked around and realized we were at a fountain. 'When'd we get here?' I wondered briefly, but I didn't get the chance to ponder. As Yuuma whispered in my ear.

"Will you die for me?"

My eyes widened in surprise as Yuuma leaned back a smile on her lips. "Excuse me what?" I asked, confusion and hostility already building in my voice. "Will you die for me?" as soon as she spoke, I pushed her away, and a snarl was already forming on my face as every alarm bell in my body rang like a nuclear bomb warning.

I quickly sensed Yuuma's aura, and my heart turned to ice. Why hadn't I sensed it before? Her Aura was fading embers, like Akeno's. Weaker sure, and while it didn't surpass Adrien's, by much. It still surpassed it, and by extension, surpassed mine.

Yuuma yelped as she stumbled back from my shove, and glared up at me with such a hateful expression that I was shocked I hadn't noticed it before. "How dare you push me!?" she yelled in outrage. I lowered myself into a Karate front stance and faced Yuuma. "I don't know if this is some sick joke, but if it is you better stop before someone gets hurt." Yuuma snarled before she began to chuckle. "Fine then. Hunter, I'll stop playing."

Suddenly, Yuuma began to glow with a strange light, and her clothes were suddenly shredded, leaving her completely naked for a couple of moments, and my eyes widened as I saw her naked body. 'What the Shit?! She's flashing those boobs all over the place!'

However, as the light faded, my thought train took a completely different direction.

She was taller, around 5'8 now. She looked much more mature, and her eyes were different. Where before there was a bubbly, albeit dark violet, it was now sinister, evil.

Her clothes were completely different, they consisted of black straps, somewhat like leather around and under her breasts. A thong-like piece held around her hips by three thin straps like an erotic bikini. She had gloves that ran right up her arms with small lengths of chains hanging from them, shoulder guards on her shoulders (Duh) that had 3 large spikes sprouting from the right one. And also black, thigh-high heel boots.

But most startling of all were the massive 2 black wings that sprouted from her back.

'Holy shit. Are those wings? Black, feathered wings?' "What the heck are you?" I asked. 'Yuuma' chuckled, "That doesn't matter. Not that you're going to die." I narrowed my eyes, "So it was all a lie. You're not even human, hell I'm betting your name isn't even Yuuma." 'Yuuma' chuckled. "You're right on all accounts. Smart boy. It's honestly a shame I have to kill you. I met a boy a while back that fell for the same thing, but he was a pervert, and way less attractive than you. He's dead." I growled, "Murderer" I whispered. 'Yuuma' shrugged, "It's all part of the job. Well, anyway. Time to die." she said, as a purple light erupted from her hand.

Acting on instinct, I leapt to the side, narrowly avoiding a frigging spear that impaled the ground where I had just stood. "Impressive. The pervert didn't even dodge my first spear. You might be entertaining to fight." I gulped in fear, but still, I stood my ground. 'Don't back down. Kill or capture are your only options.'

"Why are you trying to kill me?" I asked as I dodged another spear, surprisingly 'Yuuma' responded, "You're dangerous." she answered simply. I pointed at her, "Lady, you're the one with the Wings and light spears. I don't think I'm that dangerous." 'Yuuma' shook her head, "No, not like that, you have something dangerous and powerful within you. That's why you have to die, lest you become a real danger." Yuuma summoned another spear and threw it at me, and this time I barely leapt to the side, the spear barely grazed me, but still drew blood. Acting quickly, I spun around and grabbed the spear in my hands, before turning back around to see an amused 'Yuuma' looking at the display. "So, you're man enough to fight me with my own magic? I'll humour you. Let's see how good you truly are!" ''Yuuma' shouted as she summoned another spear and charged at me.

?

My eyebrows raised in surprise as I watched the battle between Hunter and the fallen. Much to my surprise, Hunter was actually holding his ground against the Fallen. However, as I watched I knew that it was only because the Fallen actually wanted to fight.

Hunter and the Fallen both wielded light spears, clearly of the Fallen's making. Each time the Fallen swung her spear, Hunter would deflect it with surprisingly keen skill, before countering the attack. In terms of pure skill, Hunter had the advantage, but the Fallen was faster, stronger, more experienced and wouldn't hesitate to kill Hunter. While Hunter was still green as grass and would try to refrain from any fatal moves.

This put Hunter at the disadvantage.

I bit my bottom lip, as I took a step forward, deciding to intervene when the President's voice rang out in my ear. "Wait, we need to see if he's strong enough." I frowned, hiding my annoyance at the President's words as I remembered another battle a while back, in which there had been death. "Are you sure? He has a sacred gear. We might not get another chance at someone like this." "It's always at the edge of death that one reveals their true self, watch carefully, and summon me if you deem Hunter's true self worthy'" I sighed, and nodded, "Okay." and yet, as I turned back to look at the battle, my eyes widened as I saw a spear of light sticking out of Hunter's stomach.

I had never felt Agony like this before in my life.

It ripped through me, every moment it flared like a burning inferno, tearing through my very being, boiling my blood and making mince meat out of my flesh.

Slowly, I looked down at the spear that stuck out of my stomach. I could only gaze upon its light for a fleeting moment before I coughed up a splatter of blood that covered it. 'Yuuma' chuckled, "Sorry. But you never stood a chance. I'm superior." as I fell to my knees, I glared up at her, hatred boiling within me, so intense that it made 'Yuuma' falter. "I will not die." I growled, but every word and breath was exhausting, and hearing the weakness in my voice made 'Yuuma' smirk. "Just stop. You're already dead, so it's pointless to resist. How about this, I'll let you touch my breasts while you die for being such a good fight." she offered already moving to unstrap her bra. I shook my head, my chivalry deciding to take over. "No. Yuuma. I'm not a pervert. So you don't need to make me offers." I coughed, and 'Yuuma' actually looked pleased. "Huh. Thought for sure you would've taken me up on my offer. Eh, oh well. I'll be going now. Farewell, little Hunter." 'Yuuma' said, as she spread her wings and took off.

And as soon as she was gone, I smirked as I struggled to my feet, clutching the wound in my stomach. 'I couldn't beat her. But at least now I have a chance at survival.' As I glanced around, I began to stumble forward, moving my stomach and the wound as little as possible. I risked a glance at my stomach as I felt my warm blood soaking into my clothes and immediately regretted it as I saw several organs and nearly blacked out if it hadn't been for the pain that I was feeling.

Despite all that I was, I had a weak stomach when it came to organs.

Taking off my blazer I tied it around my wound trying to stem the blood flow, and shortly after my Dress shirt followed.

'You can't die here. Come on. Just find some help.' as I walked, my mind flashed through what I could do. Who could help me? 'Akeno. She might be able to help. She has a similar Aura to Yuuma.' And so I continued stumbling forward, even as my vision became splotched and darkened I continued to press onwards.

The only thing that kept me going, was my will to live.

?

I stared on in mute shock and amazement as Hunter practically dragged himself back towards Kuoh, a gaping hole in his chest. "Woah…" I muttered softly as I saw the product of Hunter's Willpower.

In my mind, there was no longer any doubt. Hunter was badass.

I followed, staying inside the shadows. Until eventually Hunter was in the urban area once again and stumbling through an alleyway. However, as the sound of another person filled my ears, I jumped to the side, watching with wide eyes as a mugger armed with a knife appeared in front of Hunter. "Hand over all your valuables, or I'll kill you." the Mugger then seemed to notice the blood coming from Hunter's chest, "Actually, I'll just kill you since you look like you're gonna die anyway." Much to my anger, the Thug shoved the knife into Hunter's stomach before ripping the blade out, causing the blood loss to double in intensity. Hunter screamed in agony as he once again fell to his knees, and a flare of fury burned inside my chest as the Mugger kicked him to the side. "Now stay still, It'll be painless." the Mugger said when suddenly Hunter grabbed the Mugger's leg and pulled him to the ground. As the floor at the Mugger's feet was soaking with blood, and he didn't expect Hunter to have any strength left, he yelped as he fell. Again Hunter yelled in pain as the Knife embedded itself into his calf, but that didn't stop him. Grasping the handle of the Knife, Hunter screamed as he pulled it out, before driving it's blade into the Mugger's right hand. "Ah! You bitch!" the Mugger screamed in pain as he tore the blade out.

The Mugger then looked at Hunter with renewed fury as he began to repeatedly kick Hunter. Each blow made Hunter scream in agony, and yet inside of that pain was the venom of spite. I wondered why, but it didn't take long for my answer to show itself.

With no warning, the Mugger suddenly stopped the brutality he was performing on Hunter. His eyes went wide and he went silent. I frowned in confusion when suddenly the Mugger began to cough. Foam rose from his mouth, and he began to choke on his own spit. Falling to his knees and then his back, the Mugger began to flail, losing all control of his limbs. "What's happening?! No! No…" those were the Mugger's last words, and shortly after he was dead.

I stared on in shock, and fear as I saw Hunter try to drag himself forward. But finally, the last of his strength left him, and his blood continued to pool around him. Shaking off my shock, I rushed forward and kneeled down beside him. Placing a finger on his neck, I clenched my jaw as I felt the absence of a pulse.

Hunter was dead.

Hunter Westerdyk

I was dying. There was no doubt about it.

As I felt the last of my strength leave me, I saw a figure rush forward and felt something warm touch my neck. A hiss came from the figure, as darkness clouded around me, closing in as the pain faded to a frightening cold.

Fear wrapped around my heart, paralyzing me. Was I truly going to die?

What would happen to me?

My will flared within me and using the very last of my strength I clenched my jaw, pushing the darkness back. I could not die here.

I was still a virgin.

But the darkness would return. And as my vision faded, I saw a red glow appear, faint and soft.

Then I saw several pairs of legs standing in my blood, numerous gasps of shock coming from them.

The last thing I saw, was my own blood.

The Blood that could kill a hundred men.
