In the Absence of Willpower, the collection of virtues and talents is wholly worthless.

(I apologize if this chapter is bad. It's an OC arc which only serves one purpose, and the original is shit, and so on.)

The first thing I felt was a ringing pain. 'Ow' Slowly I opened my eyes, wincing slightly as I did. With a flash of relief, I realized I was lying in the Occult Research Club, on one of the lounges. Glancing around I also realized that I was currently alone in the room, however, I could sense the Aura's of Rias and the others close by… and another Aura? I frowned as I focused on the newest Aura, it was younger than my own and more similar to Koneko's age. But the most concerning thing about it, unlike Kiba's, or even my own Aura, was that I felt not a single hint of Mortality in its past. It wasn't a pure Devil like Rias, or a mixture of Fallen and Devil like Akeno, which I still needed to ask her about, or like a pet Devil similar to Koneko, it felt far different, yet similar as well. Like Blood. I shivered slightly, ignoring the Aura I decided to make myself known. "I'm Awake" I called, and moments later they all came rushing in, each one of them with varying expressions. Kiba was beaming, Akeno and Koneko were smiling lightly, and Rias, was well Rias.
"Hey." I greeted as I sat up, wincing again as my ribs flared in pain. "You should lay down. You're injured" Akeno said, walking forward with concern. But I shook my head, "I've been worse. And that's not counting the Fallen's." I reassured her my mind briefly flashing towards the days following my Black Belt Test. Akeno's shoulders fell with disappointment, and sighing in defeat I said, "I presume you want to check up on me?" I asked, and Akeno brightened up, albeit only slightly, and nodded, walking over to me and sitting on the couch next to me while she put a hand on my shoulder. "It's good to see you're awake Hunter. I was worried when you suddenly fainted." Rias said, sitting down on the Club's bench while Koneko and Kiba sat down on the couch opposite me. "Yeah, I'm awake. But I'd definitely rather be asleep right now." I responded blankly, earning a pair of chuckles from Kiba and Akeno, as well as a small smile from Koneko. I sweatdropped in annoyance, "I'm serious, I really would much rather be asleep right now. But there's something stopping me. And it's this" I said, summoning my Sacred Gear and showing it to the others. It appeared the exact same as it had before during my clash with Issei.
Instantly, gasps of shock and recognition rose from the others around me. "I didn't recognize it before. But now I can see it up close. There's no mistaking it." Rias said. I frowned slightly at Rias' pronoun game. "What happened to it? It's definitely evolved. But into what? I'm guessing that you know what happened. Don't you?" I asked, and Rias nodded. "You're right. In a way, It did evolve. But it would be more accurate to say it awoke." I raised an eyebrow but remained silent for Rias to speak, and after she crossed her arms beneath her boobs she did.
"Your Sacred Gear is no longer a Stormbreaker. In fact, I doubt it ever was. It is one of the Ponitus Gears, and that one is known as the Deep Black Gear. It grants the owner the power of the Dragon Sealed within, the Black One. Otherwise known as the Black Dragon Emperor of Will, Zekrom. Said to be the most powerful Storm Dragon to ever exist." As Rias uttered the name of Zekrom, the scent of Ozone filled the air and the faint sound of thunder was heard in the distance. But in the same instance, an image shot through my head, of the two red eyes wreathed within the lightning. "Okay, that's cool," I said dumbly as I looked at my Sacred Gear in mute awe. "Excuse me, President." Looking up from my Sacred Gear, I gazed upon one confused Kiba. "Yes, Kiba?" Rias asked, and Kiba gestured to my Sacred Gear, "What are the Ponitus Gears? I've never heard of them." Kiba said, and I nodded in agreement, "I'm in the dark here, two Rias, and I've researched all the known Sacred Gears. I've never heard of Ponitus once, but maybe you mean Pontius? He's the guy who judged Jesus, right?" Rias nodded and we all winced at the mention of Jesus' name. "You're right, they are similar. And that's because the Ponitus gears are also known as the Gears of the judge. You see, while the Longinus Gears grant the wielder's abilities more akin to effects, such as the ability to Divide or Boost. The Ponitus gears grant pure elemental power instead, giving the user the ability to control the elemental nature of the dragon sealed within." I tilted my head, "But how does Zekrom fit into this? How is he a Judge?" Rias sighed and closed her eyes, deep in thought. "The Black One, Zekrom, was famed for many things, his wrath for one thing and his power for another, but what he was best known for was his unbreakable Will. According to legends, Zekrom sought out heroes with powerful ideals. But should the righteousness in people's hearts falter, or a leader's ideal's corrupt? Zekrom would raze entire Kingdoms to the ground with his lightning, without mercy." Rias opened her eyes once again, and looked into my own "Zekrom's wrath was unwavering, his Judgement absolute, regardless of who or what you were or had done. His might was so great, that even the Gods feared him, they called him the Judger of Kings, and that was just one of his many titles. The height of his power was never confirmed, but many who met him in combat compared him to the strongest of Dragon Kings, sometimes even to the heavenly dragons themselves."
As I thought about Rias' words, I realized something, so looking at the red-headed devil I asked. "But why haven't I heard of the Ponitus gears? There's not so much as a mention of them in the Book of Heaven, which details all of the creations of the God of the Bible. Why not?" Rias held up a hand and raised a finger with each gear she listed. "Well, first the Ponitus Gears are exceedingly rare, so our knowledge of them is exceedingly limited. And second, The God of the Bible did not create the Ponitus gears, however, he did name them. As of my knowledge, there are only 4 known Ponitus Gears. Deep Black, Vast White, Boundary and Gigantic. The locations of the Vast White and Boundary Gears are unknown, but the Gigantic Gear is rumoured to be in the possession of one of the strongest Fallen Angels alive." I gulped in worry as Rias spoke, 'The Gigantic Gear. In the hands of one of the strongest Fallen?' I shook my head, dislodging the dread, and deciding to change the topic of this conversation. "On another note. You said the Evil pieces are based on chess right?" I barely waited for Rias' nod of confirmation, "So why am I the only Pawn? There are eight Pawn pieces. So unless there's only one servant of each chess piece type, then where are the others? If there are any." I muttered the last part quietly, and only Akeno heard it, although she didn't react to it. "Well, you're half right. There are eight pawn pieces in an Evil set. However, you won't find any other pawns in my peerage." I tilted my head in interest and confusion, so Rias spread her arms as she explained. "The answer is quite simple. You required all eight to revive." I blinked at Rias for a moment, before saying, "So does that mean my promotion is eight times more powerful?" Rias shook her head, "No it does not." I cursed "Damn it"
Location: Japan, Unnamed Mountain Range
Hunter Westerdyk
A few days later…
I sighed in annoyance as I continued my path towards the mountains. "Go to the mountains, Hunter. It'll be easy Hunter. I'm a fucking DEVIL HUNTER!" I yelled, mocking Rias in a high-pitched voice. "I just had to ask for a job. Couldn't keep my fucking mouth shut. Now I'm fucking hours away, answering what could only be a fucking trap for a lunatic with a spear. FUCK I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF IT WAS THE FUCKING TRUE LONGINUS!" I roared the last part, and my words were quickly echoed by thunder and lightning that scorched the ground beneath me. I flinched slightly seeing the destruction, before sighing. Raising my hands above my head, I slowly lowered them as I exhaled. "Have to watch my temper."
Ever since I had awoken my Sacred Gear, my 'Temper Tantrums'' and anger issues had become a much larger problem, and a lot fiercer, something about inheriting a 'dragon's wrath'. Whenever I was angered, I would become a little zeus, smiting whatever had angered me or whoever was nearby. I'd learned the hard way to watch my attitude in the Occult Research Club house, lest I face Rias' wrath.
Shaking my head I dragged myself back to reality, and not a moment too soon, as a second later I arrived at my destination, a large gaping hole that marked the entrance to a cave. "Well that's not ominous at all" I muttered before walking into the cave. Stalagmites and Stalactites littered the area around me, and an unearthly light illuminated the entire cave. This caused me to frown, 'A light?' cautiously I made my way forward, venturing deeper and deeper into the cave until I arrived in a large clearing.
At the centre of the clearing, was the source of the light, glowing faintly in the darkness. Humming in suspicion, I looked around, observing my surroundings. My eyes narrowed even further as I sensed a single Aura nearby. Young from what I could feel, around my age. But powerful, with a feeling half human, and half different. Half of the being's Aura felt, old in a word. Like ancient scrolls or texts, as in it belonged to the old world from before history. However, as I felt the Aura I felt a conflict, hostile and gentle at the same time. 'Interesting' I thought. Turning back to the symbol I decided to dismiss the being in favour of investigating the symbol. You could learn a lot about someone from their magic.
Walking forward slowly, I entered the clearing, and immediately I felt my mistake. In an instant, the air around me changed, and I knew why. 'Fuck, it's a dome' moving slowly I walked backwards, leaving the dome. 'It's a magic nullification sphere. An assassination attempt' I thought darkly, before growling, 'But a normal Devil wouldn't sense that. They would trip the trap and have their magic nullified. Damn it! What should I do?' On one hand, I could destroy the sphere with my Lightning, I had around 200 million Volts stored right now, enough for one blast of pure Lightning. But on the other hand, that would mean giving up the advantage of Aura sensing.
According to Rias, it was an ability even rarer than a Sacred Gear and worked on anything and everything, no amount of stealth magic could hide something from me. And I could sense a large amount of stealth magic in the sphere. But that meant that everyone with this ability was hunted down and killed by assassins, out of fear of their abilities. 'Wait. If this is an assassination attempt, could they already know about Aura sense?' I looked around, but shook my head, 'No. If they did, they'd send someone stronger. And more of them as well.'
But I was shaken from my thoughts when I felt the aura move, and my eyes widened as I realized my mistake. 'I've already reacted to it… FUCK!' moving quickly I practically ran into the clearing and slammed my fist into the trap. Instantly, a red dome of energy surrounded me. And I sighed in relief as I felt the aura of the stranger approaching me. "It's a trap?!" I shouted, however, the words felt fake even to my own ears. Walking over to the edge of the trap, I decided to experiment with something. Bringing back my right hand, I summoned my Sacred Gear, before quickly channelling a large amount of lightning into my hand. "THUNDER PUNCH!" I yelled as I drove my fist into the energy shield. However, the barrier held strong, and I scowled. 'So I can't break it with my…' I trailed off as I realized that my lightning had never appeared. "Is it nullifying my Sacred Gear?" I said in shock. "It's useless. You cannot break the barrier." Narrowing my eyes I turned around my gaze meeting that of another.
Standing there was a girl, around 5'3. Her chest was smaller than Akeno's or Rias' but certainly larger than Koneko's, however her waist and butt were certainly her main source of curves, easily being on par with Rias', but despite that, she was certainly beautiful. With long black hair styled into twin-tails. Covering her torso was a long-sleeved red top which was exceptionally tight, giving me a clear view of her upper curves. Covering her waist was a short black skirt, additionally, she wore long black socks, which appeared more similar to stockings in fabric design given their tightness. Her eyes were a gentle bright Aqua, yet held a firm gaze and intelligence.
I hummed as I looked at her. "And who might you be?" I asked. The girl looked at me emotionless, however, in her eyes I could sense a small spark of curiosity. "My name is Rin Tohsaka…" Suddenly her clothes began to change red, and both her clothes and hair changed in appearance.
Her hair was now much longer and thicker, with red tips and large red bows tying her hair into the twin-tails. She now wore a full bodysuit-with red and black patterns, which hugged her entire body and curves tightly. The patterns of her arms from the biceps down were red, with the shoulders being black. Whereas her entire legs were coloured red, with her waist being coloured black. Dark transparent mesh covered the top of her breasts and stomach. With the sides of her torso being red, while the rest was red. (Rin Tohsaka's Demi-Servant form)
Once the transformation was complete, she raised her right arm, with a red energy spear appearing within her hand as she did.
"... And I'm here to kill you"
THERE WE GO! Chapter 10 is complete!
I BET YOU WEREN'T EXPECTING THE BLACK DRAGON EMPEROR OF WILL TO BE A POKEMON HIGHSCHOOL DXD CROSSOVER WERE YOU!?
Anyway, I apologize once again if the latter half of the chapter was bad. This Arc isn't exactly that well written in both the original and the plot. Additionally, I don't really know how to introduce Rin any other way.
However, certain things will change in the future so expect that!
Also, you should know, while this Rin Tohsaka is based on Rin Tohsaka from fate, specifically the Fate Extra variation, she will be different, both in personality, history and power.
How?
Well, you're going to have to wait and see!
