I wrote this as a therapeutic way to deal with the events in the story. Miguel is a stand-in for me, and I hope you like the story.

When the gunman aims at his daughter, Miguel gives his life for her. A sudden flash of conscience from Ernesto changes Hector's life forever: By letting him have one.

Coco has a question about Ernesto that no one in her family will answer. Imelda, Oscar, and Felipe all turn her down. So she goes to someone else for help instead and gets more of an answer than she knows what to do with, sending her mind reeling and opening a wider space in her heart than she already has for her second best friend.

What if Héctor never took the poisoned drink from Ernesto? What would the glory-seeking Ernesto do then?

There's an excellent reason why they say poor communication kills. And an even more significant reason when it comes to the difference between hearing and truly listening to someone. So the Riveras go to family therapy to learn how to do both properly.

Hector realizes that Ernesto really wants his songs and gives him what he wants. He just wants to go home to see Imelda and Coco. Just a small "what if Hector goes home" fic and fluff. One shot and complete! Please review.

Miguel returns home, with haste moves to tell his Mama Coco about her Papa. Now that everything is saved, Miguel grows and experiences many live adventures... until his 28th birthday when everything flashes before his eyes. **Rated M for some adult-themed chapters**

Sequel to "Turning Tables"—Even though everything looked okay, "happily ever after" was not there yet. Taking place a couple of months after the end of "Turning Tables", Miguel's relationship with his family is tested yet again as the Riveras assist another family victimized by de la Cruz and deal with more, unexpected surprises in the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead.

What i think should have happened in the movie.

Tangled Au. Miguel has a gift, the ability to heal when he sings. Because of his power, he spent his entire life locked in a tower under the protection of his father. But on his twelfth birthday, an opportunity to live his dream comes in the form of a wanted outlaw named Hector.

One victory does not a relationship fix. Imelda may love Héctor, but old wounds take the longest to heal. Héctor wants to do what is best for Coco, but a century of hurt is hard to overcome. A story of the present, past, and a future yet to be
