*You guys need to get out of there! Penguin's men have planted a bomb, and it's got less than four minutes-*
Dick didn't hear the rest of Oracle's warning over the sound of a window being shot out.
Escrima sticks raised and ready, he whipped around, just in time to see Red Hood throwing Robin by the cape, with as much force as he could manage, right out the window he'd just destroyed.
"Robin!" Nightwing was able to catch a glimpse of the boy's shocked, bewildered expression before he of view. "Hood, what the heck?!"
"Oh, relax Mama bird. If there's one kid in all of Gotham who can be yeeted out a window, it's that one. Besides, you heard O. Bomb." Red Hood shrugged like he'd made the most logical decision.
*You just saw an excuse to throw Robin and took it.* Red Robin, somewhere deeper in the building, radioed in to voice his opinion.
"I'm not denying that. Because you're right." Hood was wearing his helmet, but there was no doubt in anyone's mind that he was grinning.
*That's fair. I'd do the same with Drake should the opportunity present itself.* Damien, sounding way too calm for someone who had just been thrown through a window, was apparently perfectly fine.
"See? Runt's alright."
*Guys, what part of 'bomb', did you not hear? Evacuate now!*
Nightwing sighed and gestured to Red Hood and Orphan. "Okay, you heard Oracle. We've got to go."
Red Hood nodded and turned to their sister. "Well, kid, what'll it be? You wanna jump, or do you want me to throw you?"
"Hood! We don't have time for this!"
"Night, we are sixteen floors up. Do you think we can make it down sixteen floors before detonation? You can try. We're going out the window." He pointed at the hole he'd made, and Orphan grabbed the extended hand.
"Throw me."
At Nightwing's incredulous look, she shrugged.
"It looked fun."
*It actually was. We're right across from a pretty easy landing. Just make sure you have your grappler ready.*
Nightwing looked like he was about to have a mental breakdown while Red Hood laughed, grabbed both of Orphan's hands in his own, spun around a few times for momentum, and threw her out the window.
"You do realize we were all trained by Batman, right? We don't need to walk down the stairs. We can jump right down the stairwell. Grapple? Hop from railing to railing? There are better-, oh for the love of… Oracle, how much time do we have left?" Nightwing gave up trying to talk sense into his siblings and turned his attention to his comm.
"Plenty." Red Robin dropped down from an air duct by his brothers. "Considering I just deactivated- holy shit!" He was flying out the window almost as soon as he hit the floor, arms flailing.
Yyyyy
Oracle, who was witnessing everything from both security cameras and over their comms, placed her hands together like she was praying and leaned her forehead against them.
Spoiler was in the kitchen making them both hot cocoa and trying to keep the noise down so she didn't disturb Babs, but she looked over at the older woman's deep, deep breath.
"Everything okay?"
Babs laughed in exasperation. "I think I want to get a hamster. Just, you know, so I can have a little creature I'm responsible for keeping alive. And I'll be able to do that, because it will live in a little cage and play in a little plastic ball. So it has no choice but to listen to me and not die."
Steph laughed and shook her head, understanding where her friend was coming from. "What did they do now?"
