In the ancient time when conquerors, warlords and monarchies shed bloodstained battles for such inheritance of a land rich in resources,Viserys Targaryen and Queen Daenerys Targaryen of Targeria managed to preserve an empire from seven generations that was almost to be at the brink of a destructive downfall. As victorious as King Viserys seems, he was a cunning ruler amongst his predecessors of the Targaryen dynasty. This was due to his secret manipulative ways of enslaving the vikings who were prisoners of the Scandinavian war that expanded the empire's territory and without the whole world knowing what's going inside within the empire's ruling. The vikings were extremely forced to be slaves in building monuments of the Targaryen Dynasty, workforce in agricultural means and even use them as phones in the arena to be killed by monstrous dragons for the king's entertainment reasons . As harsh and violent this is, Queen Daenerys Targaryen have no power to eliminate this violent ruling because even she must be submissive to her husband to the point of death whenever she speaks against her husband's way of reign. Unlike her husband, she have a heart to those vikings who shed tons of blood just to build her husband's walls, she couldn't sleep hearing the wails of those poor people and she only wished to the gods that someday someone will be able to rescue them and to raise a voice against this merciless reign.
As much as this abusage continues, the queen gave birth to a son whom she named Joffrey Jackson Frost Targaryen during the seventh reign of King Viserys. She is enlightened at her son but at the same time she is disappointed that her husband will make Jack a cunning leader like he is. She couldnt handle her husband's stupidity that sometimes she just wished she condemn herself and her son into self exile and live a different life away from the kingdom but she was given no power to exile unless being permitted by the king himself which of course he wouldn't let her. One faithful dawn as she and Jack are in the palace's riverbank, having fun as mother and son, a basket is drifting from the river's waves to them. This suprise her as she called her servants to pick little Jack up from the waters and open up the little basket. To her suprise, she find a crying infant warpped in a green tunic with viking characters written over it. She have compassion in him as she scoot the crying infant in her arms until he fell asleep. Knowing this was one of the viking's children she decided to keep him along with her son Jack for him to safe and gave him comfort. She felt grateful to the gods that she is able to keep a poor viking child and know that her husband couldn't eliminate him if he came from their sacred river that was gifted by the gods then only that can put his power of cunningness into limit.
"Come Jackson, we shall show His Majesty your new baby brother, Hixta Haleanor Haddock Targaryen" she named him as she and Jackson went to the inner court of the palace to present another member of the royal family.
18 years later...
Both Jackson and Hixta grew up as noble princes of the empire and they have this special unbreakable bother bond, both have a fond with dragons that they were given a Nightfury and a Snowraith as royal gifts in their 15th birthday. Also they both often got into trouble that causes their father's headache but both still managed to pull each other out of their father's deadly wrath. Jackson often teased Hixta by calling him by his nickname "Hiccup" when he was eight but later he lived with it but with a severe consequence of messing up Jackson's responsibilities as payback leading them into so much trouble. As much as the empire's headache, Queen Daenerys love the two boys and manage to calm her husband's temper especially when dealing with them.
At the dusk of dawn, the two Targaryen princes were having a blast as they race with their dragons, Hiccup's wearing a royal black and red dragonscaled attire while Jackson is wearing a royal black and white attire with side cloak in his left shoulder that represents that he's the eldest, they both recklessly have fum as they dashed into the kingdom.
"Come on Hiccup! Admit it, you always look up to me" Jackson teased as he tried to fly higher using Coldblood's stoop technique.
"Yes! But it's not much of a view" Hiccup chuckled when Jackson's loose pants almost fell down.
"Well, Second Born! Second Place" Jackson yielded in laughter as he picked up the pace heading the lead against his younger brother. All of this fun and games became more reckless when they start to race through the villages causing damage and panic from the townspeople until they got to the building site where the slaves are forced to build the empire's main temple. Unfortunately, Kai, the king's butler saw them tearing the temple down and went immediately to report such incident.
"Your Majesty, the princes are out there causing commotion in the palace temple" Kai reported but he wasn't the only one with complains in the inner court.
" Your Highness, Prince Haddock set our home in fire and our children were almost trapped in their" another villager complained. " And Prince Jackson with his dragon crashed into our granary this morning!" Another villager complained.
A lot more townspeople come through the inner court bursting in anger against the princes that made the king furious while the queen could only sigh in dismay. "Silence!" King Viserys yelled as his stretched his arms to calm the angry mob. The whole court is afraid for they knew that the king's wrath is horrible and fear-strucking. " Bring them here" he commanded coldly at his servants that scared them off to fetch his sons. "I'll take care of this matter, you may all be dismissed here" he declared with a stern that left the crowd tremble in fear with no choice but to leave at last.
"Your Highness, you shouldn't be hard on yourself" Queen Daenerys comforted him as he sat on his throne waiting for their sons. "Why did you give birth to these reckless boys if they are only a misery in my empire" Viserys complained coldly leaving the Queen heartbroken in his words but only to sigh for she loved those boys dearly even if their father's a monster. A minute after, the princes arrive in the inner court with their faces down while being escorted by Kai.
"Why do the gods torment me with such reckless, destructive and blasphemous sons!" He yelled with his back on them. Knowing their are so screwed up, they remain silent until Hiccup speaks up.
"Dad the fault is mine, I goated Jackson on so I am deeply responsible" Hiccup admited as he try his best to clear the tension.
"Responsible"? The King scoffed "And do you know the meaning of that word, Jackson?" He glared at his firstborn who is trying not to burst.
"I understand, dad" Jackson replied with guilt
"And do you understand the task your birth has destined you to be. The ancient traditions, when I pass into the next world then you will be the next king in this empire" he explained while looking into the damaged temple that his sons destroyed from afar the court's aerial view.
"One damaged temple does not destroy centuries of tradition" Jackson said back making his father more furious.
"BUT ONE WEAK LINK CAN BREAK THE CHAIN OF A MIGHTY DYNASTY!!" The king bursted in anger making Jackson's temper rise but decide to keep it in while Hiccup flinched at his father's bad temper. The queen hold her husband's arm to making him more calmer, realizing Jackson's furious look. He wanted to burst again but decided to stop this argument. It is too much for all of them goating om one another. Especially Jackson who felt badly chastised and heavily pressured from him.
"You may all leave" Viserys calmly ordered as he turn his back on them in gesture of clearing the atmosphere around them. In despise, Jackson left grumpy and walk out of the court leaving Hiccup who feel guilty about his actions.
"Dad, you know it's my fault after all. Must you be so hard on him?" Hiccup asked approaching his father.
"Haddock, you will never have to carry the burden that I will pass on to Jackson. He must not be let go astray, not even by you, my son" he said, placing his arm on his son's shoulder.
"All he cares about is your approval. I know he will live up to your expectations. He only needs the opportunity" Hiccup explained. He knows Jackson try his best over the years to be a good monarch, it's just that there's so much responsibilities to maintain at the same time. He knows his brother's ability to reign but he also needed his parent's trust on him to prove his ruling.
"Maybe...maybe so..., go now, I shall see you both tonight" The king shrugged off as Hiccup bow at him before leaving peacefully from the inner court. He went off to find his brother at the balcony of his room with a grumpy look.
"You know it could've been worse" Hiccup chuckled as he draw another sketch of a dragon in his notebook while leaning at the pillar of his brother's room.
" Irresponsible, ignorant of the traditions. He practically accused me of BRINGING DOWN THE DYNASTY!!" Jackson bursted with anger while kicking a vase near him.
"Well, you are rather pathetic" Hiccup sarcastic while calmy finishing his sketch and setting it aside on the table while approaching the balcony. He know he wasn't helping but well, he's just trying to lighten up and brag his position of nothing to worry about the "royal burden".
"Well you can laugh about it" Jackson scoffed sarcastically. How many times will he have to deal with his brother who always put him into trouble.
"Well I can see it now that you'll single handily manage to bring the greatest empire on earth into ruins" Hiccup sarcastically said as he pack a bag of wine into a small pouch.
"Tell me this Hiccup? Why is that when you start something, I'm always the one who ends up in trouble??" He asked unware of his brother's malicious tactic to drop a pouch of wine from the balcony to the head of the Duke of Weaselton and his butler.
"Arghhhh!! Such a menace!!! Prince JACKSON!!!!" The duke furiously yelled at the prince who was confused for he didnt commit such act when he realized that he his brother was behind him holding the whole jar of wine.
"You might as well" Hiccup said that make Jackson shrugged off but was instantly convinced by his brother's actions to cause more misery.
"ARRRGGHHH!! YOU TWO ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE" Both the butler and the duke screamed in disgust as they were soaked in wine. Both brothers sprinted as fast as they could while laughing at the prank they did even if it means another sermon session.
"You could've seen his face" Jackson laughed hardly while trying to catch his breath.
"Well looks like we lost another visitor for tonight" Hiccup laughed as they remember they were already late for the banquet that their parents arranged for tonight.
" Wait? TONIGHT??? Oh for Odin's sake, we're already late!!" Jackson panicked as he is being pushed by Hiccup as they are in rush to get to the banquet.
"Don't worry, no one would even notice us coming through" Hiccup said as they enter the banquet. Within their suprise, a whole crowd of royals from across the region with their parents applaud with cheers at their arrival to begin the ceremony.
"Nobody would even notice huh?" Jackson mumbled glaring at Hiccup who sheepishly smiles at embarrassment.
"Ahh the young princes" Queen Daenerys acknowledged as she gave them both a hug. "Jackson, you've just been named as Prince Regent, you're now responsible for overseeing all of the temples and I suggest you should go there and thank your father" She told Jackson whom his eyes are wide open for he didn't expect them to let him earn such a higher position and thanked his father even after all the misery.
"Apparently, Hiccup someone thought he just needed the opportunity" The queen eyed him as he realized about what he said earlier in the court that made their mom take the first move into initiative. The ceremony was held perfectly and at its peak, the king summoned the kingdom's royal trolls who are Bulda and Cliff to offer tribute to their new regent.
"You should get the ice queen" Bulda whispered "That's a good idea" Cliff agreed "Now go get her" Bulda ordered as Cliff rush in hurry to get someone as Bulda rolls into the middle of the banquet to perform such magic.
"Within our power , Your Royal Majesties, we present to you a delightful offer that have been stolen from a far away land" Bulda presented as she throw some magic dust that form a huge mist and to everyone's suprise, when the mist was clear, a girl named Elsa who have snow paled skin, platinum loose hair and wearing an icy blue outfit that sparkles through her skin while her hands are in tight handcuffs with her dragon, lightfury, in the same condition near her. Upon seeing this, the crowd once again applaud for such performance and a beautiful damsel who is definitely uncomfortable for such inappropriate setup. Hiccup couldn't help but to be stunned at the girl's beauty and fierce pose amongst the crowd along with his brother.
"We offer you this delicate ice queen" Cliff said as he pulled the chains that is connected to the girl's handcuffs while she yelped in disgust after being nearly pushed to the princes that made her growl like a dragon.
"Let us inspect this ice queen" Jackson approach her then hold her chin, in this gesture, Elsa step on his toe making him backaway in pain while realizing that his toes are almost frozen and the crowd was shock for no one have ever seen someone with crazy ice magic before and also her tough attitude against Prince Jackson.
"More like an ice demon!!" Jackson freakingly retorted. Seeing his brother backing away from the girl make Hiccup chuckle. Who knew that the next heir in line who can easily govern a kingdom, didn't have the courage to be brave against a helpless ice girl who literally have her hands in chains. Man, how could his brother have a wife if he freaked out like this he thought.
"Not tough enough to stand against her aren't you" Hiccup laughed as he couldn't help such scenario. "And that's why I give her to you, dear brother" Jackson said as he pushed Hiccup next to Elsa who also tried to back away.
"Uh..no,no,no...thank you for being generous but..uh" He was cut off by Elsa who growled at her words.
"I won't be given to anyone. Especially, not to some pampered palace brats!!" Elsa growled that made the crowd and even Hiccup gasp at such boldness.
"Are you gonna let her talk to you in that way?"Jackson chuckled as he still hid in his brother's back that provoke an annoyed Hiccup to stand up.
"You should show the proper respect for a prince of Targeria" Hiccup firmly stated as he pointed out to her. "But I am showing you the respect you deserve, NONE!!!" she bursted as she swings her chains causing Cliff's grip to slip and started to act like she gonna put the palace into a terrible blizzard. The palace guards are put into alert to arrest her but Hiccup blocked them off telling them to let him handle the situation.
"Be still" Hiccup told her as he hold her long chain to calm her down. "JUST LET ME GO FROM THIS CUFF!! I DEMAND YOU TO SET ME FREE!!! Elsa yelled as she was still trying to break free from her cuffs. "Just be STILL" Hiccup said who tried his best to hardem his grip in the chains so she couldn't hurt other peaople from swinging it.
"LET GO!!" She shouted for the last time unaware of what's behind her.
Seeing that she was near a fountain, Hiccup thought of another misery "As you wish" he said as he let go of his grip. Elsa yelp for such sudden release as she stumble and fall into the fountain that make her soakingly wet. The crowd laugh at such embarrasment of the poor girl without even realizing how badly Elsa felt for such a stupid setup. Hiccup chuckled at his actuons but when he saw his mother who just turn her back from them at disappointment. Hiccup feel guilty for such a public humiliation. He thought it was only entertainment but seeing Elsa who was so soak while being helped out by a royal servant to get out of the fountain, how stupid was he was to her??!!
Amidst the laughing crowd with his brother, he felt badly that he wanted to apologize but to only receive an angry stern from her as Jackson ordered the servant to have her dried up and send her to Hiccup's chambers. After the event, Hiccup rush to his room who have no idea on how to comfront the girl whom he badly humiliated. He stand before his bed that was covered with a translucent curtain and knowing she is here because of a femine shadow sitting on his bed. Gathering his couarge, Hiccup lifted the curtain only find the servant being hostaged with frozen chains and even Toothless was frozenly chained in his wall. Gosh, how coldblooded was this girl is? He thought and while scanning his room he find a frozen rope that lead downstairs to the gate of the kingdom and spot the girl and her dragon trying to escape quietly. Hiccup didn't know what would he do but his instincts told him to follow her just in case the palace gautds would spot and arrest her. He went down using the frozen rope and to his suspicions, two guards are walking towards the gate, unaware of the presence of an escaping girl.
"Guards!!" Hiccup called out to them "Prince Haddock" the guards saluted as they wait for his orders.
Elsa scaredly stiff in her action, thinking that the prince would order them to arrest her and who knows what kind of mischief will happen to her. To her luck, that wasn't the kind of idea Hiccup have as he try to find words to give an excuse in order for her ye escape.
"The...the...there's a man...being frozen...in my...room" Hiccup stuttered as he pointed at his balcony.
"Well look into it!" He ordered them leading to his chambers. Seeing this, Elsa manage to reach the main gate and fly off with her lightfury into the nightsky. Hiccup try to follow them but only to gaze above as she fly faster against the cold northern winds blowing from the opposite direction. Hiccup is happy enough as he stand from the gate that he let her escape, surely he admit it that he kinda like that bold and fierce attitude from that girl and her ice powers. He thought it was incredible that he didnt notice he was developing a fast longing crush on her but unfortunately he may never see her again because she left.
But still who know, maybe someday they may cross paths beyond the kingdom, maybe they can meet again but he just hope that she wouldn't freeze her alive after all that had happened. He just sigh then go back to the palace only left to wander when will they meet again.
